Napoli vs. Inter Coppa Italia Betting Tips and Preview

Juventus vs Napoli

Juventus seeks for its 10th Scudetto in a row, and they have a hell of a team. Cristiano Ronaldo still plays at the very top level, while the hosts also signed Arthur from Barcelona and loaned Alvaro Morata. They opened the campaign with a confident 3:0 win over Sampdoria but had a hiccup away to Roma last weekend. Griggiorossi managed to pull a 2:2 draw despite Ronaldo’s brace. Now, another tough challenge is ahead of Bianconeri, and they need to search for a victory in order not to lose pace with the main rivals at the very start of the season. Last time, they were one point ahead of Inter, but only because of poor displays in the last couple of rounds, after they already secured the top spot. Inter should be their biggest challengers, but Napoli seems pretty impressive at the start as well.
The team from the south of Italy enjoys an excellent start as they celebrated against Parma 2:0 in the premier round, while they trashed Genoa 6:0 last weekend. After a disappointing campaign when they finished 7th but lifted the Italian Cup, the visitors want to enter the title race. Gennaro Gattuso’s side has been pretty tight in the back as they managed to keep the clean sheet in both games. However, their backline is about to undergo a stern test against the defending champions. Although Napoli was pretty inactive in the transfer window, key players should remain in the club despite many rumors. The away side celebrated two wins in a row against their next opponents, and they are looking forward to a third in a row.

Full-Time Winner Odds & Prediction

It is going to be a real spectacle, and we can expect to see a very tight clash. A draw seems to be a realistic outcome since both sides are capable of clinching a point from this game.

Goals Market Prediction

Although their recent head to head clashes in Serie A have been very efficient, this one might be a bit different. Napoli can afford themselves to be patient, while Juventus is the one who should chase a victory. The game should remain under 2.5 margin.

Inter vs Fiorentina

The hosts finished as the runners-up last season and only one point below Juventus. However, the title race was not exciting as you can think just by looking at the table since Bianconeri have secured the top spot four rounds before the end of the competition. Antonio Conte’s side wants to attack the trophy once again and break Juventus’ dominance in the past years. Inter was the second most efficient side in the league last season, while their defense was the tightest. There are quite a few fresh names in the home side’s squad, since Arturo Vidal, Aleksandar Kolarov, Achraf Hakimi, Nicola Barella, and Stefano Sensi signed this summer. In addition to that, Alexis Sanchez signed a permanent deal, while Ivan Perisic and Radja Nainggolan returned from their loan deals. Inter should be Juventus’ primary challenger, and they are looking forward to a successful start of the campaign.
Fiorentina opened their campaign last weekend with a narrow 1:0 win over Torino at home ground. The visitors want to challenge one of the continental spots this time, after failing to do that last season. The away side finished at 10th spot, but they were 13 points behind Napoli. Fiorentina did a pretty good job at away pitches since they managed to get back home undefeated 12 times, but they had troubles playing at Artemio Franchi. Borja Iglesias joined the club and will have the opportunity to play against his ex-teammates, while a few quality players returned from their loan deals.

Full-Time Winner Odds & Prediction

It is going to be an interesting clash, but the hosts are favorites in this one, and they should be closer to the victory. We believe they are going to meet the expectations and book their first three points in the campaign.

Goals Market Prediction

Head to head clashes between these two teams have been pretty efficient lately, and especially when played at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza. Since Inter has significant attacking potential, we don’t think this game will be much different.

Making money with HT/FT

Alright, I have read a lot about matches being fixed (especially in Italy, Ukraine, Russia, Portugal, Belgium and so on). And I want to share my betting technic that I'm trying to refine troughout my betting career. As we all know fixed matches do exist but when? where? how? and the biggest question who? I got scammed a couple of times because I "bought" a fixed tip on facebook, I know naive and silly me, but once I figgered out no one of all the forums and pages actually has such tips I just started analyzing myself...
This: http://puu.sh/lEpam/36b0bffb65.png is my winning from yesterday. I only placed this bet yesterdag because I did some thinking..
I'm not saying every 1/2 and 2/1 in football is fixed, but it occurs to me that a lot of football matches are 1/2 2/1, in EVERY competition (lower and higher classes). I have won an odd 66 and 81 in this last month, the odd 66 happened in Singapore with an 2/1 (#1 vs #11). it is ofcourse possible for matches to turn out 2/1 or 1/2, but I don't think all of them are legit...
So this is my tactics which I'm getting pretty good at. I've won occassionally and I'm sharing this tactic with you guys. Let me know what you think about it!

Chelsea Vs PSG Betting odds, preview and predictions

Tuesday 08/04/2014, 20:45, Champions League, Quarterfinals, Chelsea Vs PSG Chelsea Vs PSG Betting Preview Paris Saint Germain leading 3-1 from their first leg against Chelsea in the Quarter Final of the Champions League. This second leg will force Chelsea to go full throttle style to reduce the 2 goals disadvantage. Chelsea defenders were the blame when to conceded a silly third goal to PSG last round, if the score were 2-1 was not too bad, but 3-1 may ask for too much for the host to win exactly 2-0 to go through to the Semi-finals! Chelsea Vs PSG Betting Odds At Betvictor Chelsea 1.85, Draw 3.75, PSG 4.60 Chelsea Vs PSG Betting Tips On their way to Champions League glory in 2011-12, Chelsea welcomed Napoli to Stamford Bridge on the back of a 3-1 first-leg defeat, but ultimately progressed after extra-time following a 4-1 triumph. Mourinho is chasing a third Champions League title, having hoisted the trophy while in charge of Porto and Inter. In eight career European quarter-final ties, the Portuguese has never been defeated. Chelsea conceded only 9 goals in 17 Premier League home games this season and will come into the PSG match on the back of eight consecutive clean sheets at Stamford Bridge in all competitions. PSG's domestic dominance allowed Blanc to cast an eye towards the meeting with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, which will see the French club aiming to book a first Champions League semi-final appearance in 19 years. Ezequiel Lavezzi, Thiago Motta and Blaise Matuidi were all named among the substitutes against Reims and the latter two remained on the bench throughout. Ibrahimovic limped out of PSG's 3-1 quarter-final first-leg win over the Premier League side last week with a hamstring strain that is set to keep him on the sidelines for a significant chunk of this month. Chelsea Vs PSG Betting Prediction PSG knows they will have a tough tasks ahead in Stamford Bridge, but even if they lose 1-0 to Chelsea, the French side will still qualify, so I expect the visitor will put a lot of time wasting on the pitch and hope not to lose by 2 goals or more! If Chelsea let in another goal, they can really forget about the Champions League, but nevertheless, the Blues should win against the French! Opening Asian Handicap on Chelsea (-0.5) considerably solid to me, some bookies even opened at (-0.5/-1.0) had given me a full confident to back Chelsea to win this match! Talking Points: Three of Europe’s Biggest Clubs All Lose in Same Weekend

Talking Points: Three of Europe’s Biggest Clubs All Lose in Same Weekend

It was an incredible weekend for European football, in which Arsenal, Real Madrid and PSG ALL lost.
So what has that done to their respective divisions, and what does it mean for punters?

1 – Premier League Title Race Down to Two Contenders?

It always looked likely that last weekend would be a crucial one in the Premier League title shake-up, and so it proved. Leicester City continued their fine form with a late show against Norwich; an 89th minute winner from Leonardo Ulloa sealing the deal there, while Spurs came from a goal down to beat Swansea 2-1.
While the fourth contender in the title race, Manchester City, weren’t in action as they were off winning the League Cup, it was left to Arsenal to keep themselves in the reckoning at City’s Manchester rivals United.
But it proved a test too far: United’s teenage sensation Marcus Rashford netting a brace for his die in a 3-2 win. That result leaves the Gunners three points behind Tottenham and five behind Leicester at the summit of the Premier League table, and their odds of winning it have lengthened to 3.75 accordingly.
They take on Spurs in a couple of weeks, while Leicester can sit back and watch with relish. Their odds of 3.00 loo great value, and so they in the Bet Advisor betting tips for today.

2 – Atletico Claim Spoils in Battle of Madrid

It was a fixture that would go a long way to determining how easy Barcelona’s run to successive La Liga titles would be, and yet the Catalan giants weren’t even involved.
Instead, the two Madrid clubs did battle in what is likely to be a contest to see who finishes second behind Luis Enrique’s side. And it was Atletico who came out on top courtesy of an Antoine Griezmann goal and yet another fantastic defensive performance.
Diego Simeone’s side are now eight points adrift of Barcelona but four clear of Real, and with that defensive record – they’ve conceded just 11 goals in 26 games – they look so hard to beat. It’s quite possible they will finish above their Madrid rivals, which would be a huge achievement.

3 – Slump? What Slump? Juventus Return to Winning Ways

It’s testament to their outstanding form that even a couple of dropped points away from home represents a slump, but some pundits were suggesting Juventus’ bubble had burst following a 0-0 draw with Bologna last time out.
Those predictions proved completely wrong as goals from Leonardo Bonucci and Alvaro Morata secured a 2-0 win over historic rivals Inter Milan. Juve are once again four points clear awaiting Napoli’s result against a tough Fiorentina outfit tonight, and so their outright price of 1.57 to claim the Serie A title remains, as it has done for weeks now, at the heart of today’s betting tips.

4 – Business As Usual For Bayern and Dortmund

Two games, two wins. While the quality of football on offer in the Bundesliga is often a joy to behold, unfortunately the predictability of the title race is slightly less appetising. Despite Dortmund’s fumblings last season, they and Bayern remain head and shoulders above the rest in Germany’s top flight.
Bayern went to Wolfsburg and returned with a 2-0 victory in their grasp despite once again being without three first choice centre backs, while Dortmund’s domination of Hoffenheim manifested itself in a 3-1 win.

5 – It’s Over: PSG Finally Beaten

It was a bit of a surprise to see PSG lose on Sunday – many thought they were heading for an ‘invincible’ campaign – but even more surprising, perhaps, was the identity of the victor. Lyon are packed with talent but frustratingly inconsistent; as defeats to 11th placed Bastia and 15th placed Lille in recent weeks confirm.
But with four wins in their last six, things seem to be looking up for the former Ligue 1 champions. They are in to 2.40 to finish in the top three once again, and that is the last of today’s football betting tips.

Brighton boss Chris Hughton addressed the arrival of technical director Dan Ashworth in his pre-match press conference ahead of this weekend's trip to Man City.

14:49

SKRINIAR COULD SIGN NEW DEAL

James Milner and Sadio Mane are no closer to signing new contracts at Liverpool, according to the Liverpool Echo.
The Reds are in no rush to secure extensions with Milner’s contract set to expire in 2020, while Mane has another year beyond that.
Both Milner and Mane are in line for extensions at Anfield after playing key roles in Liverpool’s impressive start to the season, but talks must take place first.
09:10

JUVE PRICED OUT OF POGBA RETURN?

Wages and a potential transfer fee could prove too big an obstacle for Juventus’ attempts to re-sign Paul Pogba, reports Marca.
Pogba’s future at Manchester United was plunged further into doubt after he was filmed having a heated exchanged with manager Jose Mourinho on Wednesday.
Pogba moved to Old Trafford from Juventus in the summer of 2016 for a then world-record fee of £89m.

08:09

RAMSEY TO LEAVE ARSENAL?

Aaron Ramsey will leave Arsenal at the end of the season, reports the Daily Mirror, who claim the Gunners will not offer the Wales international a new contract.
It means the 27-year-old will leave the Emirates for free next summer after 11 years in north London.

07:44

GIRONA WANT STUANI EXTENSION

Cristhian Stuani is closing in on a contract extension at Girona, reports Marca.
Stuani moved to Girona from Middlesbrough and enjoyed a prolific first season at the Catalan club, netting 21 La Liga goals last term.
His performances saw him linked with a number of clubs, including Marseille, who were reportedly close to activating his €15m buyout clause.
Girona want to secure his future at the club and are planning to extend his deal until 2021, improve his salary and raise his buyout clause to a figure higher than €20m.

BARCA BALK AT DE JONG FEE

Barca wanted to sign De Jong during this summer’s transfer window but were unable to prise him away from Ajax.
They now face stiff competition to secure his signature in the future as the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, Spurs, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are all on his trail too.
Ajax have reportedly valued the midfielder at €70m but Barca are not contemplating paying that amount to bring him to the Camp Nou.
06:59

FABREGAS TO MILAN?

Cesc Fabregas has emerged as a January target for AC Milan, reports Mundo Deportivo.
The 31-year-old, who is out of contract at Chelsea in June, is yet to make a Premier League appearance under Maurizio Sarri.

"Kasper and Maguire are so valuable for us. It is important to maintain our structure, our squad and all our valuable players for the team."

ROWETT WANTS QUICK BUSINESS

Gary Rowett hopes to speed up transfer business to get more players in before Stoke begin their Sky Bet Championship campaign next weekend.
“We hope to [bring in players this week],” he told the Stoke Sentinel. “It’s ongoing and of course we want to do things as quickly as we can. That’s not always possible for different reasons.
“I know the importance of getting your group together quickly and I’ve said that right from day one. You want the group together as quickly as you possibly can and unfortunately we haven’t quite been able to do that."

CLOUGH TARGETS LOANS

Nigel Clough hopes to bolster his squad with a loan signing before Burton start the Sky Bet League One season.

INCOMINGS AT CHARLTON?

Charlton Athletic caretaker manager Lee Bowyer says more players will be coming in rather than leaving the club although Josh Magennis is set to leave The Valley.
“We might lose one more, probably not anyone that anyone is thinking but I think we’ll be bringing in a lot more than we’ll be losing," he told the club's official website.
“We have to bring a 'keeper in to have competition for Dill [Dillon Phillips]. You have to have healthy competition in every position and goalkeeping is no different.
"We need a centre-half, a right-sided centre half, we’ve only got Pat (Bauer) in the building. Maybe another midfielder and maybe another striker.
"We knew that Bolton were interested in Josh [Magennis] in January, so I thought they would come back in. I’m pleased for him because he’s a good pro and he gives everything. If it has gone through I wish him all the best and thank him for the services he’s given us.”

WAGHORN ON THE MOVE?

Ipswich manager Paul Hurst said he left Martyn Waghorn on the bench for their friendly against West Ham in the best interests of all concerned. The striker didn’t feature for the second successive game amid speculation over his future.
“There is no getting away from the fact that there is a lot of talk about Waggy,” he told iFollow Ipswich. “I just think it was the best decision for everyone concerned that he didn’t play today.
“We will see what the next week or so brings. Will he be here for the Blackburn game next week? Honestly I’m not sure.”

The loan deal, which does not include a purchase option, is expected to be made official soon.

BROWN SEEKS FORTUNE REUNION

Swindon manager Phil Brown is keen to tie up a deal for striker Marc-Antoine Fortune.
The former West Brom and Celtic frontman, who played under Brown at Southend, has been training with Town and played as a trialist in Friday night’s 4-1 friendly win at Swindon Supermarine, where he won a penalty.
Asked whether he would like to make Fortune’s signing permanent, Brown told the club website: “I would. The chairman isn’t here but he’s well impressed with the pedigree of the player, but we just wanted to have a look at the fitness levels.
“He hasn’t been working with anybody, he was promised a deal at Southend that didn’t happen so he’s an angry man at the moment.
“He is such a professional. He conducts himself impeccably off the field and a lot of the young lads can learn from him, whether he is playing or not. He did fantastic for me at Southend and I would like to get him on board.”

PJANIC DISMISSES JUVE EXIT TALK

Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic insists the speculation over his future this summer is untrue.
Pjanic has reportedly been the subject of strong interest from Manchester City and Barcelona, while other reports have suggested that Juve will cash in on him following the big-money arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid.
But the Bosnia international has dismissed most conjecture as false and says he is happy in Turin.
“I listen to a lot of things that are not true,” he told ESPN. “I'm cool. I'm preparing my new season. That's what's the most important.
“What I did the last two seasons for Juventus was really great, and I am happy what I'm doing here.

The 21-year-old made 14 appearances for United in the 2015/16 season but has not played for the first team during Jose Mourinho’s Old Trafford reign, and has had loan spells with Wolves and Leeds.
Borthwick-Jackson now takes a step down into League One but said of his new challenge: “I’m buzzing to be here and can’t wait to get started.”
09:51

BELLERIN HITS BACK

Hector Bellerin has hit back at those who have questioned his commitment to Arsenal, insisting he does not want to play for anyone else.
Bellerin has been with Arsenal since he was 16 but that longevity has not stopped talk of a transfer, with Barcelona and Manchester City linked with the right-back in recent seasons.
Speaking to Sky Sports News, the 23-year-old has moved to put an end to the speculation surrounding his future.
"It is crazy that people ask me these questions all the time," he said. “A few years ago I signed a very long-term contract.
“I have never said that I have wanted to be anywhere else. I am very happy in London. I am very happy at this club.
"The club have made me who I am and gave me the chance to be the footballer I am today. So I don’t want to be anywhere else."
09:28

MINA TO MANCHESTER?

Manchester United could turn their attentions to Colombia international Yerry Mina if they fail to bring either Harry Maguire or Toby Alderweireld to Old Trafford, reports the Daily Mirror.
Like Maguire, Mina impressed at this summer’s World Cup, scoring twice, including a dramatic stoppage-time equaliser against England in the last-16.
Mina is expected to leave Barcelona this week despite only joining the La Liga champions in January.
Everton and Lyon have been touted as a possible destinations for the 23–year-old, but the Mirror claim United could rival them for Mina’s signature.
09:05

PALACE INTENSIFY INGS EFFORTS

Crystal Palace have stepped up their efforts to sign Liverpool striker Danny Ings, according to the Guardian.
Eagles boss Roy Hodgson is keen to bolster his attack with the acquisition of the forward, who has reluctantly decided to leave Anfield after an injury-plagued spell at the club.
If Ings is to relaunch his career at Selhurst Park, Palace will have to meet Liverpool’s £26m valuation for the 26-year-old, who they signed from Burnley in 2015.

LEEDS IN BAMFORD TALKS

Leeds United are in talks to sign Middlesbrough striker Patrick Bamford, according to Sky sources.

POCH REFUSES TO PANIC

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is in relaxed mood ahead of the new season but admits the early closure of the Premier League transfer window is 'not going to help’. With just 12 days to go until Deadline Day, Spurs are one of two Premier League clubs yet to make a signing.
08:18

BESIKTAS MAKE MIGNOLET CONTACT

Besiktas have made contact with Liverpool over a deal for Simon Mignolet, Sky Sports News understands.
The Turkish club need to sign a new goalkeeper after selling Fabri to Fulham for close to £5m last week.
Mignolet is potentially available after the Reds signed Alisson in a world-record £67m deal for a goalkeeper.
The 30-year-old Belgium international has played 202 times for Liverpool since joining from Sunderland in June 2013 but has had to battle Loris Karius for a starting place since he joined from Mainz in 2016.
07:57

'ARSENAL NEED LEADER RAMSEY'

Arsenal cannot afford to lose the leadership qualities of Aaron Ramsey, according to team-mate Alexandre Lacazette.
Ramsey has entered the final 12 months of his current deal and admitted earlier this week he is uncertain about his Arsenal future, with his agent locked in negotiations over a new deal.
Head coach Unai Emery has made it clear he wants Ramsey to stay and, speaking at the launch of Arsenal's third kit in Singapore, Lacazette told Sky Sports News: "Aaron has been there for about 10 years, he is like a legend at the club.
"We have to be respectful for everything he has done and of course with his quality he can help the team to be better. He brings stability, quality and leadership.
"He is an example for all the young players too, so of course we need Aaron in the team."
07:36

MADRID RULE OUT HAZARD MOVE

Real Madrid will not sign Eden Hazard this summer as new coach Julen Lopetegui wants to make Isco a key part of his project at the Bernabeu, reports AS.
Madrid have been linked heavily with the Chelsea forward since the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus earlier this month.
However, AS report the European champions have definitively ruled out a move for the Belgium international due to Lopetegui’s confidence in Isco.
Madrid are admirers of Hazard but are not going to sign him and are aware that he would cost around €200m this summer.
They are also keen to avoid blocking the first-team path for Marco Asensio, and have dismissed the prospect of making a ‘Galactico’ signing this summer.

Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic says he appreciates interest from Cardiff, where he spent the second half of last season on loan.

United are keen to bring the England international to Old Trafford after impressing at this summer’s World Cup.
With reports claiming United will have a pay a world-record fee for a defender to get their man, the Mirror claim United are preparing to offload Italy international Darmian and Argentina international Rojo to facilitate Maguire’s transfer.
The Independent claim Wolves are keen on bringing 28-year-old Rojo to Molineux.
06:44

NO REAL RETURN FOR JAMES

James Rodriguez has no intention of returning to Real Madrid this summer, reports Marca.
The Colombia international is in the middle of a two-year loan at Bayern Munich, but he still harbours ambitions of succeeding at his parent club.
Madrid want him back and new boss Julen Lopetegui has informed the playmaker that he wants him at his disposal in the Spanish capital.
However James, who recovered his best form at Bayern in 2017/18, believes it would be a bad move to abandon the Bundesliga club now.
Bayern have him on loan until next summer and have previously been tipped to activate a €42m purchase clause to secure his services on a permanent basis.
06:19

NEWCASTLE AGREE MUTO DEAL

Newcastle have reached an agreement to sign Japan forward Yoshinori Muto from Mainz for a fee believed to be £9.5m.

Five Things: Back PSG and Bayern to return to Winning Ways....But Expect Arsenal’s Woes to Continue

Five Things: Back PSG and Bayern to return to Winning Ways....But Expect Arsenal’s Woes to Continue

After the shockwaves of Arsenal, Bayern AND PSG all losing last week, we’re back to earth with a bang with a packed fixture list across Europe. Here are five of the key things to look out for:

1 – North West London Derby Day

Any match between Tottenham and Arsenal is significant, but this Saturday’s tussle has taken on extra importance. The winner here will keep themselves very much in the mix for Premier League honours, while the loser will be left scratching their heads at a campaign that promised so much.
Typically, we’d expect the Gunners to be favourites....but not so here. Spurs have been priced at 2.40, and given their recent form (six wins from eight, unbeaten at home in eight) compared to Arsenal’s (three losses in a row in all competitions) that should come as no surprise.
Furthermore, Arsenal have only won once at White Hart Lane in five attempts, so backing Spurs as part of your betting tips looks the logical choice.

2 – Comfortable Weekend for La Liga Top Three in Store

The three teams battling for honours in La Liga should be on easy street this weekend. Barcelona travel to an Eibar side that have lost five of their last six; shelling ten goals in the process. Barca have just broken the L Liga record of 25 matches unbeaten, and they will be full of confidence.
Atletico Madrid travel to an inconsistent Valencia side hoping that their greater defensive strength will prove invaluable, but it is their neighbours Real, who host Celta Vigo, that really catch the eye from a betting perspective this weekend.
Take their 0-1 loss to Atletico out of the equation and Real have scored 16 goals in their last five matches, and this Celta Vigo outfit has conceded 44 times this season – for context, that’s four times as many as Atletico.
Real can be backed with a -1 handicap at 1.80, and that is the pick of the Bet Advisor betting tips for today.

3 – Can Bayern Bounce Back?

After suffering just their second Bundesliga defeat of the season last time out against Mainz, Bayern will be looking to prove that was simply a bad day at the office rather than the origin of something more sinister.
The bad news is that they travel to perennial rivals Dortmund, who are in great form themselves at the moment having won six of their last eight matches and three on the spin at home. There are various bets attached to this match, but perhaps the most viable is both teams to score at 1.67.

4 – Napoli Seek Redemption Against Chievo

No wins in three: that’s how Napoli’s recent form reads. That would have been unthinkable a matter of weeks ago when they won eight in a row, but defeat to Juventus has triggered this worrying spell. Draws with AC Milan and Fiorentina – while respectable enough – aren’t going to get the job done with Juve continuing to win with ease.
This week they face a Chievo outfit who, naturally, seem happier when playing the weaker sides (wins over Genoa and Torino in recent weeks) than the better ones (defeats to Juventus and Inter Milan). Crucially, Chievo have lost all of their last three away matches, while Napoli continue to be goal-hungry at home. As such, the Napoli -1 handicap has been added to today’s betting tips.

5 – PSG Aim to Return to Winning Ways

It felt like the world stood still last weekend when PSG suffered their first Ligue 1 defeat of the campaign to Lyon, and they will be looking for a bit of revenge when they welcome Montpellier to Paris. This is a Montpellier side that has won three on the trot however, scoring eight goals in the process. They won’t prove to be any pushover.
But ‘PSG home win’ must be one of the most typed phrases this year, and they will be looking to oblige once again. You can back them with a -1 handicap at 2.25; and that looks simply too good to ignore.

Talking Points: Van Gaal On the Brink And Inter Falter

Talking Points: Van Gaal On the Brink And Inter Falter

Another weekend of intrigue and excitement ensued as many of Europe’s top flights entered the second half of their campaign. Here are five talking points that caught the eye:

1 – Van Gaal Living On Borrowed Time

His side needed an injury time penalty winner from Wayne Rooney to overcome League One also-rans Sheffield United, so it’s little wonder that the pressure cooker is starting to simmer again surrounding Louis Van Gaal’s future at Manchester United.
The team’s 2-1 win over Swansea last weekend – in which they displayed yet more dire football but got the win that halted their run of nine games without a triumph – looked set to be a catalyst for improved form.
But they mustered just two shots on target against a side that languishes 47 places below their more illustrious opponents in English football’s pyramid. One of those was just about enough to spare Van Gaal’s blushes.
Remarkably, United have failed to score in the first half in their last ten home outings, and it remains to be seen how long the Dutchman has left in the hot seat given that alternative options – such as Jose Mourinho and perhaps even Pep Guardiola – are available. Certainly while he continues to instil a ‘keep ball at all costs’ philosophy on his team – limited their inventiveness and creativity – he looks vulnerable.
Van Gaal can be backed at 1.50 to be the next Premier League Manager to Leave Their Post, and that is one today’s football betting tips that looks great value.

2 – Business As Usual in La Liga

With comfortable wins for Barcelona and Real Madrid, as well as gritty victories for Atletico and Villarreal, it was business as usual in the upper reaches of the La Liga table.
Barca’s 4-0 win over Granada was unremarkable in many ways; although it is remarkable how we expect the Catalan giants to triumph with such virtuoso ease, particularly at their Nou Camp home. After a torrid week Real Madrid fans will have been delighted with their side’s 5-0 demolition of Deportivo in Zinedine Zidane’s first game too.
But Atletico clung onto top spot courtesy of their impressive 2-0 win at a decent Celta Vigo outfit; their fourteenth victory of the campaign (more than Barcelona and Real no less). It’s a bit of a leap of faith as far as football betting tips go, but the 14.00 on them to win the title isn’t as far-fetched as it sounds given that they have been crowned champions in the recent past.

3 – Juve March On As Inter Falter Again

If this was to be Inter’s year then they’re doing a pretty decent job of messing it up. Defeat to Sassuolo – their third in six Serie A outings – has consigned them to third place in the table. However, they are just two points off the top and if this is a blip, rather than the start of something more sinister, then they may have still have an outside chance of the title.
It is the goal threat of current leaders Napoli that makes them an interesting betting tip, particularly at their 2.38 price. That said bookies favourites Juventus, who have now won an incredible nine games on the spin, look an ominous opponent at the moment.

4 – Lyon Roar Back to Form

As one of the perennial favourites in the Ligue 1 shake up, Lyon’s progress this term – or complete lack of - has been somewhat surprising. A run of three losses on the bounce left them in danger of falling by the wayside, but a 4-1 thumping of Troyes in their first game back after the festive break ill do their confidence no harm at all.
They are now back up to sixth place in the league, and while their odds of finishing in the top six look a certainty at 1.35, it is their price for a top three finish – 2.75 – which will feature in many betting tips across the continent.

5 – Porto Pounce But Sporting Hold Firm

The battle for supremacy in Portugal’s Primeira Liga rages on, and despite a 5-0 thumping of Boavista it is Porto who are still looking upwards at Sporting, who remain four points clear after a high octane 3-2 win over fourth placed Braga.
The bookmakers’ can hardly split them – Sporting are priced at 2.38 and Porto at 2.75 – for the title, but the most sensible of today’s betting tips is to support Sporting given that they have that four point cushion.

Four Things: The Best Betting Tips From Across Europe This Weekend

Four Things: The Best Betting Tips From Across Europe This Weekend

We are edging ever closer to the finale of the European football season, and with glory – and failure – within grasp, the pressure has never been greater felt so far this term.
All of which means one thing: brilliant betting potential!

1 – Leicester Look Poised As Spurs Face Tricky Test

It will take three more wins for 5001.00 pre-season title contenders Leicester City to claim a historic Premier League title – although that timeframe will be accelerated considerably should their main rivals Spurs drop points along the way.
And that could well be a consideration since they face a tricky trip to Stoke City on Monday evening. Be under no illusions, Mauricio Pochettino’s side need to win regardless of how Leicester get on against West Ham on Sunday, but they won’t have things all their own way at the Brittania Stadium.
Stoke have avoided defeat in 10/16 home matches this season, conceding barely more than a goal per game on average, while Spurs’ away record – while outstanding at W8 D6 L2 – means they have just a 50% win rate on the road.
Add into the mix the pressure they are facing at the moment each time they step onto the pitch, and we can give Stoke some support here. So let’s add the Stoke Double Chance to today’s betting tips at 2.07.

2 – Madrid Sides Look to Build Pressure on Reeling Barca

We don’t get to type these words very often, but Barcelona have failed to win in each of their last three La Liga matches, and after being unceremoniously dumped out of the Champions League in midweek we have to ask whether their three point advantage over Atletico is going to be enough?
The two Madrid sides have won six of their last eight matches and are flying at the moment after qualifying for the Champions League semi finals. That, however, could prove a distracting force moving forward. But beware the football team scorned, and here at Bet Advisor we have a feeling that Valencia – Barca’s opponents at the Nou Camp on Sunday – could be in for a bit of a hiding. The Catalan giants will be looking to dole out some swift retribution, and a Valencia side that has lost four of their last five – and 9/16 on the road this season – looks vulnerable.
Barcelona have won 14/16 at the Nou Camp and score more than three goals per game on average, so we can back the ‘Barcelona to win & Over 2.5 Goals’ market with relish. Indeed, that is the best of today’s betting tips at 1.36.

3 – Race for Top Three Finish Hots Up in the Bundesliga

Bayern have all but wrapped up yet another Bundesliga title, while Dortmund will surely claim second place now that they can focus fully on domestic matters after being deposed from the Europa League.
But who finishes third....well, that’s anybody’s guess. Five teams can all make a realistic case for Champions League qualification, with Hertha Berlin (49 points) currently leading the way from Leverkusen (48), M’gladbach, Schalke and Mainz (all 45).
Of that quintet it is perhaps Leverkusen who look the most likely, despite Hertha occupying the top three spots pretty much all season. Bayer have won four on the bounce - including victory over Wolfsburg, a fine effort – and this weekend they welcome a rather toothless Frankfurt outfit to the Bay Arena. So a supporting wager on the 1.90 offered by the bookmakers that Leverkusen will finish in the top three is worth a go.

4 – Juventus Seek Closure with Napoli Facing Tough Inter Test

It has been a topsy-turvy Serie A campaign that has witnessed Juventus and Napoli duking it out for dominance for the best part of six months. Soon we will know who will be crowned champions, and judging by this weekend’s fixtures that time might be sooner than we think.
On Sunday Juve host a Palermo side that has failed to win in each of their last eight outings, walking away with a goal difference of -15. We can back Antonio Conte’s men with a -1 handicap at 1.50 with supreme confidence.
Napoli, meanwhile, travel to the San Siro to take on Inter, and the Naples outfit will be acutely aware that they have only won one of their last four on the road. Inter have only lost 4/16 on home soil and 3/10 overall, so Gonzalo Higuain face a tough battle to stay in the title picture this weekend.

Fantacalcio: Week 8

Based on how well this post is received, I may start doing this weekly. In the "state of calcio" thread from a few weeks ago we were kicking around the idea of doing weekly fantacalcio threads where we discuss players and give tips so this is my attempt.
A little background (and a chance for me to brag): Two years ago was the first time I ever played Fantacalcio, domeydion (ex /seriea mod) used his own money to create a private reddit league on the website seriealive.com, the league had about 50 in it and it was really fun. It was especially fun for me because I won, but I didn't just win the league, I demolished everyone, no one was even close to me... The year after that the reddit league was discontinued, but I decided to keep playing on seriealive.com in the public league. This meant that I was competing against everyone using the site, so about 2-3K people... I placed 7th and I'm now in the seriealive "champions league" this year.
I know this paragraph above seems like I'm just stroking my dick/ego, but its just to prove that I'm a competent fantacalcio player (because you wouldn't want to take advice from a noob!). With that being said I'm kind of sucking ass so far this year, hmmm... Anyways lets get to the games :)
Empoli VS Cagliari
Alert! Pucciarelli might be benched for Tavano this game, Gazzetta saying 70% chance Tavano starts. I'd say he has a pretty good shot of scoring against a mediocre Cagliari team, but this week I'd roll with Maccarone. Rugani has been solid this year in defense for Empoli, Cagliari is notoriously bad away from home, this could be his game. No one from Cagliari really inspires me this week, maybe Sau if I had to choose.
Parma VS Sassuolo
This looks like a game full of goals to me, both teams have been horrible defensively so far. Berardi and Cassano are my top two from this game, especially Cassano, I really don't think Parma will continue to shit the bed at home. Second tier I'd put Zaza and for some reason I think Lodi and De Ceglie will have a decent games.
Sampdoria VS Roma
Juicy game, really juicy. Personally I think Roma is going to come out aggressive as hell, didn't they beat Samp 4-0 after the 7-1 in Manchester? Obviously this means nothing. People might be tempted to play Romagnoli or Okaka because for some reason Roman players LOVE to play their best against AS Roma. I think I'd still tip Gabbiadini to have the best game for Samp, he's been on such a good run of form. As far as Roma goes I'll take captain Totti, too obvious to say Destro. Full disclosure: I suck at picking Roma players, every time I play one of them they suck so maybe a real Romanista can shed some light on this game. Is Gervinho playing? Iturbe? Florenzi? I can't figure it out...
Chievo VS Genoa
This looks like its gonna be an ugly game. Chievo is such a terrible team for fantacalcio, but I guess Paloschi would be your best bet. Genoa has some interesting plays this game with Perotti and Bertolacci, and of course Perin has a great chance to keep a clean sheet against the leagues worst offense, but I'm going to go a bit unorthodox here and suggest Antonelli. Alert! I can't figure out if Pinilla is playing or not so proceed with caution.
Juventus VS Palermo
If you're not starting Tevez every week, you're doing it wrong. This seems like its going to be Morata's big chance to take over from Llorente so I don't think he's a bad bet this week either. Pogba has been on a great run of form and wouldn't be a bad start. Buffon has a great shot at a clean sheet. I love Lichtsteiner in fantacalcio and I'll probably be starting him this week too. As for Palermo, I usually stay clear of playing anyone against Juventus (and no, not just because I'm a Juve fan). Easy to say Dybala, but I think if there's a player that could give Juve trouble, it will be Vasquez.
Udinese VS Atalanta
This is a really tough game for me to analyze, I think I'd stay clear of it. Starting Di Natale at home is always a decent idea regardless of the opponent. Herteaux is my pick for this game. Kone (the guy who scored ridiculous goals for Bologna) is starting for Udinese as the trequartista behind Thereau and Di Natale, I think he'll have a decent game. If I had to pick an Atalanta player I like Maxi Moralez to get back to his 2012 form.
Cesena VS Inter
I think Inter is going to bounce back this game, but I understand if all of you are skeptical. I really like Icardi this week against a mediocre defense. Inters defense sucks too, but so does Cesena's offense, Handanovic will be a decent pick. Anyone thinking of starting any Cesena players this week? I'm definitely not. Hernanes looks hungry, I'd say him and Kovacic are nice plays in midfield. Lastly, for fucks sake, I've counted on him in vain so many times now, but I finally like Nagatomo (if he starts) to have a good game this week.
Lazio VS Torino
Just like Tevez, if you're not playing Candreva, you're doing it wrong... but with that being said there's been conflicting news this week about whether or not he's starting so proceed with caution! So if he is out what does that mean? Well the safe play is Lulic and the gamble is Felipe Anderson (the latter has a lower floor and a higher ceiling in my opinion). I like De Vrij in defense for Lazio too and of course Djordjevic's ridiculous run of form keeps him as a good candidate to score. Quags can't stop scoring lately so he's a decent play this week too, but I'd be skeptical about starting anyone else on Torino, maybe Darmian?
Napoli VS Verona
The fans are pissed as fuck, this is Hamsik's cue to perform for his team. If you believe in Hamsik as a player, start him, if not, just roll with Callejon. I can't believe I'm saying this, but fuck it, start Higuain, it just seems too unlikely that he continues this horrible run of form. Zuniga has been great for me so far this year, so I might just roll with him again this game. So those are my three for Napoli, as for Verona, hmmm honestly maybe just Luca Toni, but I wouldn't even start him if you have better options. The big gamble this week (depending on how your GK scoring system is) is Rafael. I guarantee you he will face a ton of shots, but the question is whether he will save them or not. He's been a monster in the past.
Milan VS Fiorentina
Buh, I have no idea how this game will go. I like Abate in defense simply because of his recent form. Remember that Milan sucks defending set pieces so Savic and Rodriguez are decent plays IMO for Fiorentina. Moving onto the midfield, Cuadrado is the guy you'll want to play for Fiorentina week in and week out, and on the other hand you have to keep playing Honda (some leagues he's listed as a forward).
WOW!!!!! That was actually kind of tedious to write, if people like this post maybe I'll just do top 10 rankings since its quicker.
PS What websites are you guys using to play? Are any of you on seriealive? Be aware that the scoring systems are probably different based on which site you are using, but generally speaking the advice will be the same regardless.
