Offseason Review Series: The 2020 Indianapolis Colts

Indianapolis Colts

Division: AFC South

Coaching Changes

Colts lost defensive line coach Mike Phair to the Panthers and replaced him with Brian Baker who is most recently out of Alabama. Mike Groh reunites with Frank Reich as he was hired as wide receivers coach, while Patullo moved to the role of pass game specialist to accommodate. Tyler Boyles was signed on as the assistant to the head coach to replace Parks Frazier who is moving to offensive quality control coach.

Free Agency

Players lost/cut
Name Position New Team
Adam Vinatieri K Free Agent
Clayton Geathers S Free Agent
Joe Haeg T Buccaneers
Jabaal Sheard DE Free Agent
Eric Ebron TE Steelers
Devin Funchess WR Green Bay
Pierre Desir CB New York Jets
Quincy Wilson CB New York Jets
Adam hasn’t officially announced his retirement, but I doubt he comes back to the NFL. He struggled throughout the year before going on IR. Geathers is a great character guy who began the season as the starting strong safety, but slowly lost reps to the impressive rookie Khari Willis. Haeg is the only guy the Colts probably wanted back as he’s a capable backup at all five slots on the line. Sheard is getting up there in age, Ebron seems to have made a business decision, and Funchess was the worst affected in the week one Claviclysm when injured his clavicle alongside Hill and Foles while being the only one to miss the rest of the season. Pierre Desir was an unexpected cut this offseason after playing well enough through the year despite playing through an injury. Quincy Wilson was traded to the Jets after a few disappointing seasons.

Xavier Rhodes CB Vikings 1 Yr 3 Mil
Trey Burton TE Bears 1 Yr .91 Mil
Roosevelt Nix RB Steelers 1 Yr .96 Mil
TJ Carrie CB Browns 1 Yr 1 Mil
Let’s start with Philip Rivers. It’s clear that Jacoby Brissett is not the guy and the Colts had to make a choice. They went with a player that both head coach Frank Reich and offensive coordinator Nick Sirianni have worked with previously, which may be quite valuable as we implement the offense during a shortened offseason. Regardless, Philip underwent a dramatic statistical drop last year. I think he’s still got juice left in him and can make a great deal of good throws if he has a decent amount of room in the pocket. If you have some time, I recommend this video by The Scouting Academy featuring former offensive coordinator turned quarterback guru Steve Fairchild.
While DeForest Buckner was not technically a free agent, he was a massive departure from the Chris Ballard modus operandi of building through the draft. The team desperately needed a 3T and they traded their first round pick for one of the best in the league. Joining him will be recent teammate Sheldon Day who will likely take over quite a few snaps at the 1T.
Xavier Rhodes was signed on almost immediately after cutting Pierre Desir. He certainly seemed physically incapable of doing what was asked of him last year. Some players have called out the scheme change as a reason that Rhodes might return to form. Personally, I don’t quite see it and think his primary value on the team might be on using his intelligence as a veteran presence in a young CB room.
Of the remaining three, Trey Burton seems like a lock at TE2 after an injury filled stint with the Bears. Roosevelt Nix is an interesting choice as I expect him to continue his heavily blocking role he played with the Steelers as well as pick up a few more rushing snaps than he did with the Steelers as we lack a true fullback. Carrie is a guy that has a chance at being the backup slot behind Kenny Moore, but I don’t think he’s secured a spot yet.

Draft

Round Pick Name Position College
2 34 Michael Pittman WR USC
2 41 Jonathan Taylor RB Wisconsin
2 85 Julian Blackmon S Utah
3 122 Jacob Eason QB QB
4 149 Danny Pinter G G
6 211 Robert Windsor DT Penn State
6 211 Isaiah Rodgers CB UMass
6 212 Dezmon Patmon WR Washington State
7 213 Jordan Glasgow LB Michigan
Michael Pittman Jr, WR, USC 2.34 Grade: A
This man just feels like a Colt. He’s a physical player and will immediately slot in as Philip River’s YOLO target. He’s got great size and uses it well both in positioning himself against a receiver to win the ball as well as using his frame and forcing his way down field. Even on truly contested catches, he has great hands with only 5 drops against 176 catchable targets in college. Lastly, his frame and hand usage make him a valuable blocker, which is particularly valued by Frank Reich as he plans to run the damn ball.
Jonathan Taylor, RB, Wisconsin 2.41 Grade: A-
This man is going to run the damn ball. Let’s start by mentioning his toughness, with nearly 1000 rushes through three years. The man’s body doesn’t show any sign that it will ever give up. He has enough cutting ability to dodge the occasional tackle, but excels at using his physique and contact balance to force his way through a tackle. If the defense fails to collapse on Taylor quickly, they’re at risk of him taking off. Taylor was the fastest running back at the combine running a 4.39 at 225 pounds. Going 1-on-1 with him nearing full speed is almost a futile prospect. As he finds lanes behind probably the best run blocking line in the league, he’ll be plenty of trouble. Not without flaws, he’s had a somewhat questionable history with fumbles that will likely lead to plenty of time with Tom Rathman. He also has limited experience in the passing game.
Julian Blackmon, S, Utah 3.85 Grade: C+
Perhaps I’m being a bit too harsh on Blackmon because I’m slightly addicted to watching Pittman embarrass the Utah defense in the Utah vs USC game. Perhaps it’s just because I’ve watched limited tape and safeties struggle with getting on tape for failing in coverage more often than being particularly good in coverage. Either way, as the heir apparent to Malik Hooker’s starting free safety position, Blackmon feels in a way like the opposite player. While both players had an eye for the ball coming out of college, Blackmon feels overall much more inconsistent in coverage, but he also feels like a much more solid tackler. Blackmon is also a recent convert to safety from corner, so perhaps what I’m seeing is simply growing pains especially because my reviewed games are from early in the season.
Jacob Eason, QB, Washington 4.122 Grade: C+
Jacob Eason was a surprise drop for many who considered him a second round prospect. His arm is an absolute cannon belonging right in that Josh Allen tier of pure arm strength. Of course, he’s a fourth round pick for a reason. He struggles to work through his progressions, he can’t consistently throw with touch, and there are some huge question marks regarding his work ethic. There’s a whole lot of potential, but I’m not going to call the future franchise QB spot secured for the Colts yet. For the time being, I’ll call him a fine backup for a team that didn’t otherwise have a QB rostered for 2021.
Danny Pinter, G, Ball State 5.149 Grade: B-
Danny Pinter is an undersized prospect that is moving in to play guard after most recently playing as a tackle. As a tight end convert from a small school, he still lacks a lot of the technique and strength and conditioning that you would hope for in an NFL O-line prospect. I’ve seen him be pretty weak with his hand placement and he’s let the defender get into his chest a couple times. The upside here is Pinter’s mobility. He ran the second fastest 40 of all offensive linemen at the combine at 4.91 seconds at 306 pounds and put up respectable numbers for the remaining footwork related drills. Altogether a fine pick for a team with a solid offensive line that will hopefully have time to develop their rookie.
Robert Windsor, DT, Penn State 6.193 Grade: C
Robert Windsor has a good first step and a motor that doesn’t stop. That’s all the good I can say about him. Windsor doesn’t have the strength, length, or technique to make an impression. With the potential of Denico Autry moving to the edge, it seems like they might be looking at Windsor as a backup for Buckner. If Tyquan Lewis continues to be a disappointment in the limited camp, Windsor might just sneak onto the roster by need alone, which is the only reason I can bump my grade to a C, though perhaps I’m a little too critical as I felt there were a couple of other players that are more roster worthy.
Isaiah Rodgers, CB, UMass 6.211 Grade: A
Isaiah Rodgers is an absolute burner. His pro-day speed was 4.28. Admittedly hand timed is always faster, but he’s clearly quick on tape. A bit undersized at 5’10”, he’ll likely be relegated to the back end of the cornerback depth chart until he can develop into an NFL level corner, but his immediate value seems very obvious on special teams. His speed makes him a threat at kick returns and he’ll likely get tried out as a backup punt returner. As a gunner, he will gladly hit you with everything he’s got. Check this hit.
Dezmon Patmon, WR, Washington State 6.212 Grade: B+
Patman is an intriguing prospect. He’s got a great combination of size and speed. While easily compared to second round pick Pittman because of his physical traits, Patmon lacks a lot of the polish. Worse hands, worse route running, and doesn’t quite play to his size like Pittman does. Regardless, I expect him to find production in his rookie year as Frank Reich was playing with the most injured wide receiver core in the league last year and has proven an ability to scheme depth players open consistently. Lastly, I think his size and River’s tendencies towards giant players is going to come into play fairly often near the redzone.
Jordan Glasgow, LB, Michigan 6.213 Grade: B+
Glasgow isn’t a guy I want to see playing a lot of defensive snaps in a game. He’s technically refined enough, but physically doesn’t seem to have a very high ceiling. During the Middle Tennessee State game that I reviewed for him, Michigan used him plenty to blitz the quarterback where he was plenty effective, but I won’t pretend that he was up against top tier opponents. Ultimately Glasgow is going to be a special teams specialist after a college career where he excelled at special teams, which at the end of the 6th round is all you can ask for.

Roster

QB: 3 Rivers, Brissett, Eason
Things are pretty straightforward for the Colts this year. There aren’t any preseason games, so nobody can retire after one. Rivers is the starter, hoping to prove that his career isn’t over after a down year last year. Brissett is a capable enough backup. Eason is the team’s insurance for 2021 when no other quarterbacks are on the roster and will hopefully not have to start during what is sure to be an odd season. First man out is $wag Kelly, who seems mainly to hold a roster spot as a favor between Frank Reich and his old friend Jim Kelly.
RB: 4 Mack, Taylor, Hines, Nix
For a while at least, Mack gets to hold the starting job. It’s certainly a competition with Taylor’s level of talent and I expect a pretty even split over the course of the year. Despite some competition at the position, Hines may have his best year considering River’s appreciation for receiving backs. Rosie Nix is the new fullback from the Steelers who might get a few touches here and there, but exists primarily for his blocking ability. First man out is Jordan Wilkins. This is a contentious cut for Colts fans. Wilkins has an unusual level of highlight type plays that lend to his 6.0 yards per attempt over 51 carries last year. Alas, roster spots are at a premium and running backs are not.
WR: 6 Hilton, Pittman, Pascal, Campbell, Marcus Johnson, Dezmon Patmon
Hilton’s the obvious choice. After two years struggling with health issues, Colts fans are hoping their WR1 remains healthy for the whole year. Pittman comes in as a fairly polished candidate from the top of the second round in a stacked receiver class. He’ll hold down the X receiver immediately. Zach Pascal was a pleasant surprise for Colts fans last year. With a list of injuries above him, Pascal did his best as WR1 for several games last year and led the Colts in receiving yards. As a WR3, he’ll get less focus and still be fairly valuable. Campbell has shown plenty of big play ability, what he needs to show is durability. He suffered four separate injuries last year including training camp. Hopefully, it was just a fluke and he can show off more of what he can do with a ball in his hands. Marcus Johnson is a fan favorite after his Tampa Bay showing last year. After starting the season on injured reserve, he returned to the practice squad and eventually made the roster last year. Colts fans are hoping his 16.3 yards per reception last year and 17 yards per reception in 2018 weren’t flukes and can be duplicated on more snaps Rivers. Dezmon Patman comes in as a somewhat unrefined option. I’ve already mentioned his physical traits. With a little bit of help from Reich’s scheming, I think he’ll find a handful of receptions this year, particularly towards the red zone. The first man out here is Daurice Fountain. After moving to the active roster in mid-2018, Reece was a training camp hit in 2019 until suffering an ankle injury in camp. While he might compete for the position, I haven’t seen enough from him in the first two years to give him right of way over Johnson and the rookie Patmon.
TE: 3 Jack Doyle, Trey Burton, Mo Alie-Cox
Jack Doyle has been a reliable pass catcher and mauling run blocker for years. He’s solid in his position as a starter. Trey Burton reunites with Frank Reich and is only two years removed from having a 569 yard season with the Bears. After struggling with injuries last season, Burton is hoping for a return to form this season. Mo Alie-Cox was a bit disappointing as many were expecting more receiving stats, but he’s still a talented run blocker with plenty of potential for next year. With Rivers having an appreciation for big bodied receivers, perhaps the 6’5.5” receiver with a 7’1” wingspan will find a few jump balls his way.
OL: 9 Castonzo, Nelson, Kelly, Glowinski, Smith, Clark, Patterson, Pinter, O’Donnell
The Colts are lucky enough to return all 5 starting offensive linemen this year. Castonzo played some of the best football of his career last year and signed on for two more years after considering retirement for a while. Quenton Nelson is coming off his second First Team All-Pro year. Kelly is a great Center coming off a fairly healthy season and going into a contract year. Glowinski is the weak point of the line, but that’s not so much an insult to Glowinski as it is a credit to the rest of the team. He’s still a very serviceable guard. Braden Smith is surpassing my wildest expectations from the day he was drafted as a guard. With early 2018 injuries to the tackle position, Smith made the shift and has been great at the position. Beyond the starting five, things get a bit more questionable with a significant loss of depth this past year. Clark returns on a one year contract and will be taking over the swing tackle position now that Joe Haeg has left. Patterson suffered a torn ACL in his rookie year, but is the only center on the roster behind Kelly and not including Nelson who only holds the position so he can keep 56. Pinter seems like the obvious option as a backup guard. O’Donnell is a Canadian football prospect that I assume the Colts found at the East-West Shrine bowl where he played fairly well. The Colts need depth at tackle and I can see O’Donnell doing that. First man out is Eldrenkamp as a backup guard.
DL: 9 Autry, Buckner, Day, Houston, Turay, Stewart, Muhammad, Lewis, Banogu
Autry has largely played DT the past couple years and done a fine job of it. With Sheard leaving in free agency, I currently have Autry slotted as the guy to move outside and take over the job. Buckner is our 3T we’ve been looking for. I hopefully don’t need to say anything else. Sheldon Day is competing with Grover Stewart for the 1T spot. I’ve got Day listed as my starter, but for a position that will see plenty of rotation I don’t think it matters either way. Turay is the “if only” story of 2019. Houston had a surprisingly healthy year and racked up 11 sacks, tied for second most in his career. Turay showed a ton of talent in his few snaps prior to injury in 2019. Over the five weeks he played, he ranked second in PFF’s pass-rushing grade and pass-rush rate with a 22.9% pressure rate. If he can build on these past two years, Turay may be a monster. Tyquan Lewis is the disappointment of Chris Ballard’s 2018 draft. He’s struggled with a couple of injuries and he’s had a few healthy scratches that I haven’t heard anything verifiable to explain away. Alas, I’m leaving him in the lineup as a guy who is flexible enough to back up Buckner, but also play outside as need be. Banogu is another guy that has shown flashes here and there. First one out is Robert Windsor, who might take that 3T spot if Lewis doesn’t shape up in camp.
LB: 6 Leonard, Walker, Okereke, Speed, Adams, Glasgow
13 games, 5 Int, 2 FF, 7 PD, 5 Sacks, 121 Tackles. Darius Leonard put up some impressive stats last year and he’s aiming for the top. If he can pull off a 16 game season with similar stats, he’ll have an argument for DPOY. Walker is a smart player, if a little limited athletically and in coverage skills. I’ll keep him as the starter, but many fans are arguing for Okereke to take over the role. Okereke was PFF’s top ranked rookie linebacker last year, particularly for his athleticism and strength in coverage. EJ Speed had some limited play last year while Leonard was dealing with a concussion. He played fine, but has yet to show anything to get excited about. Glasgow takes the final spot primarily for special teams value. Adams has played a handful of snaps here and there, but is primarily going to be a special teams player. First man out is Zaire Franklin was only getting special teams snaps anyways.
CB: 5 Rhodes, Moore, Ya-Sin, Tell, Rodgers
Rhodes is hoping for a resurgence in a different scheme. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt and give the former first team all-pro the nod as CB1. Kenny Moore II has been a great slot corner for the Colts these past couple years. He struggled with injuries for a long while to end out the year last year, but I fully expect him to continue his efforts to make himself a household name this year. Rock Ya-Sin was our rookie pick last year near the top of the 2nd round. He had some common rookie CB mistakes, but showed enough talent and growth to believe he has a high chance of taking over the CB1 role. Marvell Tell is an incredible physical specimen that the Colts took last year with the expectations of moving him to CB from Safety. With injuries to the cornerback position, he got a few more snaps than we were hoping, but he flashed a great deal. If Xavier Rhodes’s physical decline last season continues, I wouldn’t be completely surprised to see Tell starting over a healthy Rhodes. Rodgers is still very developmental as a corner, but holds plenty of value for special teams. First man out is TJ Carrie who would have been a fine slot backup in case Kenny Moore went down.
S: 5 Hooker, Willis, Odum, Blackmon, Milligan
Malik Hooker is entering the last year of his contract with the Colts after having his fifth year option declined. Hooker lit up the stat sheet his rookie year, but ever since the scheme change, has struggled to prove he was worth the draft position. With an improved pass rush this year, perhaps his sixth sense in finding the ball will come into play more often. Khari Willis was a pleasant surprise last year. It was clear the Colts liked him when Ballard traded draft capital to move up, but I wouldn’t have expected him to so clearly take over the starting strong safety position. On top of that, Willis played reasonably at free safety during Hooker’s injury last year. Odum is a solid backup who can play at both strong and free safety. Julian Blackmon is the new rookie who I assume is intended to be Hooker’s successor next year. For the time being he’s coming back from an ACL injury and may not be available until midyear, but as the successor to the starting position, I think it’s important to at least give him a spot for now. Milligan is a versatile player. He’s really a free safety, but played a bit of slot corner last year when Kenny Moore went down.
ST: 3 Blankenship, Sanchez, Rhodes
Hot Rod is my guess to be kicker. While McLaughlin played well enough for the Colts. Even with a 100% hit rate on extra points, there’s plenty of room for more consistency as he ranked 22nd overall in field goal percentage last year. It’ll be a tough contest in camp, but if I’m calling my shot with Hot Rod. Sanchez hasn’t played his best football these past couple years. I’m hoping someone else takes over kickoffs and Sanchez can focus entirely on punting in hopes of returning to form.

Position Group Strengths and Weaknesses

QB
The Colts QB room seems solid. I’m expecting Rivers to return to his typical self that still throws a decent amount of interceptions. Regardless, a quarterback that doesn’t constantly hold onto the ball for 3+ seconds playing behind this line is going to have plenty of opportunities to make great plays. For this year of all years, it seems like the value in having backup quarterbacks is going to be at an all time high and I don’t feel so bad about what the Colts have. I’ll call it a fairly average group until Rivers can prove his career isn’t over.
Backfield
The Colts have a group of good backs, but lack an elite option particularly when considering that none have proved themselves a threat in both the rushing and passing game at the moment. As a group, I’ll call it borderline top 10 in large part because any one of these players could get injured without it feeling season ruining as may be true with a few of the teams with top running backs.
OL
I have no complaints about the starting offensive line, the huge question mark is about the depth. The Colts were lucky enough to start the same five men all season last year, but one injury to Anthony Castonzo and Colts fans will have flashbacks to the five game stretch he missed in 2018 where Luck suffered 10 of the 18 total sacks on the season. Alas, many teams struggle with depth and I hope I don’t have to argue too much about this being one of the best groups in the NFL.
Pass catchers
By Adjusted Games Lost, the Colts had the single most injured wide receiver room last year. The single biggest thing that needs to be proven is that we can stay healthy across the board. If they stay healthy, the Colts are a mid tier group, but under the assumption that TY’s health issues these past two years continue, I’m forced to assume they’re a bottom third group until we can trust someone to be a true WR1 in most games.
DL
The Colts starting lineup seems pretty strong, but for a position group that we want to rotate with depth players on, I’ve gotta question what kind of play we’re going to see out of guys like Tyquan Lewis and Ben Banogu. As such, I’ll call this group middling overall.
LB
It’s just a solid group all around. The fact that we can’t decide between Okereke and Walker as starters is primarily a question of which is better, not which is worse. Behind them is plenty of serviceable depth that holds an important role in special teams.
Secondary
This is the one group with question marks at basically every spot. Can Rhodes return to All-Pro form? Was the apparent growth for Ya-Sin real and can it continue? Can Moore stay healthy? Can Tell develop into a starting safety? Can Hooker stay healthy after missing significant time these past two years and can he prove he’s worth his draft position?
Special Teams
What just one year ago felt like a solid group for kicking and punting, now feels a bit questionable. I don’t want to get so down about Rigo’s down year as it was still overall decent. With the new search for a kicker, I can’t complain about either of the current options and I don’t believe either will get nearly the leash that Adam Vinatieri got last year, so I’d say the floor there is much higher. The returning seems like it’s best in years after Hines has impressed and our return team overall just seems to be getting stronger. With the addition of Isaiah Rodgers, this may be a group to beat.

Schedule Predictions

Week 1: @ Jaguars (W)
Ah yes, the Jaguars. An eternal question mark for the Colts. Generally believed to be one of the worst rosters in the league, I’d have to agree. There are plenty of question marks on their defense that they’re hoping will be filled in by rookies. I would expect them to have growing pains even without a shortened offseason. Week one, this seems to weigh heavily with the Colts who’ve added strong veteran talent in Rivers and Buckner.
Week 2: vs Vikings (W)
Despite having one of my favorite drafts of the year, the Vikings have many of the same struggles as the Jaguars. First, we must accept that moving from Diggs to Jefferson isn’t likely to be a smooth transition in Jefferson’s first year. Just as notably they’re losing their two corners that put up the most snaps for them in 2019. While neither of their 2018 corners were playing at their best, it currently looks like they’ll have two rookie starting corners with Gladney and Dantzler and I think all of reddit knows to expect cornerbacks to have rookie year struggles.
Week 3: vs Jets (W)
Can TY play corner? The Jets draft is another one of my favorites, but they’re still not quite there as a whole. Despite my love for Becton, I don’t think their list of offensive line changes have turned into a complete group. On top of that, I’m still not quite happy with their weapons. Bell looks like he’s still got mileage left in him if only he had a better line. Their tight end group is highly dubious, and their wide receiver group has really better hope Mims can actually play like a WR1. I think it’ll be a better game than some might assume based on a lot of opinions I hear on the Jets, but I’ve got the Colts with the edge.
Week 4: @ Bears (W)
As a fan of watching line play, this will be a game to remember. The Bears d-line is arguably the best run defense in the league and they’re not bad against the pass either particularly when backed by a good secondary. Unfortunately for the Bears, I’m expecting their weaker offensive line to struggle vs the Colts defensive line more than the opposite.
Week 5: @ Browns (L)
Ah, yes. I get to another one of my favorite offseasons. Just about everything the Browns did seemed like a good move. On paper, the Browns offense is scary as hell and I just don’t have any arguments for why they would be worse. Jack Conklin and Jedrick Wills are going to be great additions to fix that line, then you go and add Hooper as if you didn’t have enough weapons. With even half-decent coaching this team can be dangerous and I can’t trust the Colts secondary to handle every weapon.
Week 6: vs Bengals (W)
After five straight years of the Bengals losing their first round pick for a significant amount of time due to injury, maybe this year will be an exception. With the return of Jonah Williams, perhaps that line can actually have a half decent year, but I’m not going to bet the house on it. For the time being, the Bengals are still working on their rebuild.
Week 7: Bye
Week 8: @ Lions (W)
What little I watched of the Lions last year seemed like a decent quality team. As rarely as I like to bet on rookie corners, Okudah is as complete as any college corner I’ve seen. I’m not ready to call them a strong team, but they don’t seem weak by any means. A return from Stafford could make the NFC North one of the most internally competitive divisions to watch. Regardless, I feel like the Colts have a somewhat stronger roster.
Week 9: Ravens (L)
If only I could go to this game in person. I’d love to see how the Colts defense matches up against that Ravens offense in person. Top to bottom the Ravens have one of the strongest rosters in the league, so they get the strong edge.
Week 10: @ Titans (L)
I hate Thursday night games. The home team has a huge statistical advantage. Going into Tennessee tired after a tough Ravens game certainly isn’t going to do the Colts any favors when they’ve gotta try to tackle Derrick Henry.
Week 11: vs Packers (L)
This is just a long stretch of teams asking a lot of the Colts physically. Stopping the run week after week with the Ravens then Derrick Henry then Jones/Dillon is just going to be physically brutal. Luckily, the Colts are coming off a ten day bye at home, but the Packers are just an overall solid team all around and I think they’ll still be very competitive at every phase of the game.
Week 12: vs Titans (W)
I don’t think the Colts will be happy with their string of losses. I think they’re coming back hungry and trying to prove themselves against a divisional opponent at home.
Week 13: @Texans (W)
After the Texans split games in 2018 and 2019, the Colts are going to get the first win of 2020. For two closely matched teams in 2019, the Colts have lost nobody of any particular importance and purely added more talent, while the Texans sold off Hopkins in hopes that Cooks and Cobb will somehow elevate their offense. It’s a risky bet.
Week 14: @ Raiders (W)
Last year’s Raiders led the Colts by 7 points with just over 2 minutes to go in the half prior to Brissett’s pick 6. Looking at things from a clean slate, I’d fully expect the return of previously inactive Hilton, Leonard, and Hooker to cover the gap between the two teams and I have the Colts winning next year’s game.
Week 15: vs Texans (L)
Let’s not underrate Deshaun Watson. Having watched Luck carry a questionable offense for years, I think Deshaun’s got enough talent to pull some wins out of his ass. I’m certainly not so low on the Texans roster to believe Deshaun can’t push it to a win.
Week 16: @ Steelers (W)
Last year’s game was a 2 point Steelers victory after an Adam Vinatieri kick went awry with about a minute left in the game. So, they question is, were the Colts offseason improvements worth 2 points on the Steelers? Both of these teams are expected to improve greatly with the return and hiring of 2004 quarterback legends, but I’d have to give a slight nod to Big Ben as the greater improvement from Mason Rudolph vs Rivers replacing Brissett/Hoyer. For remaining Inactives, I’d have to credit the loss of TY Hilton as a more significant factor than that of James Connor. What I think finally takes the Colts over the top is the combination of their first round pick for DeForest Buckner as well as a stronger pair of second round additions with Pittman and Taylor vs Claypool.
Week 17: vs Jaguars (L)
If you don’t like the look of that L next to the Jaguars game, you don’t like AFC South football. The Jags always seem like a much better team about once a year. I’m looking at you 2018 Jags. At 10-5, I think the Colts have a good chance at being guaranteed a playoff berth and the Jags probably just want to prove themselves more.

Schemes

Offense
If you’re looking at last year’s team as a model for this year’s offense, you’re probably missing something. To quote Ozzurip from last year’s review, “The point is that there isn’t a specific scheme.” Frank Reich isn’t beholden to doing one thing every week. He wants to find every mismatch and exploit it to the best of his ability by using a diverse set of tools. Jacoby’s limitations as a player saw the passing offense get unnecessarily flat last year. Philip Rivers is the bet to run Frank Reich’s offense properly.
This starts by looking at your traditional West Coast offense utilizing a lot of nickel and dime throws in order to set up a rush. Of course with the Colt’s power running and more modern RPO usage, the run game is setting up this short passing game just as well. When teams are playing too close to the box, Frank will call up a play to push the ball deep where his new quarterback is more than willing to follow through. Ultimately, Reich will push whatever works. If the Colts are running over the opposing team, he won’t be afraid to lean into the run, but I personally believe the Colts will want to be a pass first offense once again. This is admittedly not a commonly agreed upon point among Colts fans. Feel free to take my opinion with a grain of salt.
The Colts have a diverse set of weapons that allow them to play just about any game they want to and will gladly lean on certain weapons to target specific weaknesses in the opponent’s defense. You want big guys? Let’s throw Doyle, Alie-Cox, Pittman, and Patmon out there. This not only puts out a selection of big bodies to have to defend against, but also a good list of run blockers for whichever running back they’re throwing out. Want speed? Hilton, Campbell, and Hines are each capable of stretching the field vertically. The last note I want to add would be a likely increase in 22 personnel. Just toss out Patmon and mix and match some running backs. Reich has mentioned seeing Mack and Taylor on the field at the same time, but I would fully expect plenty of plays with Nix holding a lead blocker role or even a more Tom Rathman-esque fullback that pulls in passes in the short game.
Defense
The Colts defense is a pretty simple scheme based on a 4-3 Tampa 2 defense. Despite some excitement after the Chiefs game where the Colts played man on 73.3% of snaps, expect for the Colts to play a vast majority of their snaps in zone coverage. Playing man for that one game was likely just taking advantage of a weakened receiving core than it was a proof of the Colts sudden willingness to move to a different scheme.
The Colts are heavily reliant on the front four to generate pressure and do so by rotating through 8-9 defensive linemen with the goal of keeping players fresh. The Colts defensive lineman with the highest snap count last year was Justin Houston who only played in 65.18% of snaps. Perhaps bringing in Buckner will cause the team to add a bit more consistency after Buckner’s 78.72% snaps on the 49ers last season. This focus on the front 4 is accentuated by the 6th lowest blitz rate in the league in 2019.
Part of what helps the defensive line be effective is their ability to focus on the passer while the linebackers work heavily to stop the run. The Colts run a lot of a concept called patterns where the play side linebacker’s goal is to control the offensive line and push the run outside where the other linebacker is meant to be athletic enough to cross the line and stop the run. For a more detailed look at the Colts implementation of this concept, read Zach Hicks’s writeup on this
Behind the linebacker group is typically a Cover-2 whose primary goal is to cover the deep zones and prevent any big plays. The idea is that forcing a team to dink and dunk down the field forces the offense to be successful on more plays to reach the end zone. More plays means more opportunities on each drive for interceptions, sacks, forced fumbles, and simply missed passes in order to set the offense back. The Colts were ultimately tied for 10th in the league at 13.1 percent of drives ending in a turnover.

I want to share something a friend posted that helps clarify what's going on in the US right now. The protests are not *just* about one isolated incident. This is about race. The issue goes far deeper than that and it can't be explained away that easily.

Yes, all the protesting going on now is about race, I know it’s painful for many of you to admit but it’s true. I’ve seen people scramble to attribute what’s going on to something, anything other than systemic and institutionalized racism but the sad truth we must face is that; as a group, Americans exist with as much implicit bias as ever. We all unconsciously attribute particular qualities to members of societal groups. Lucky for us, in many instances we can quantifiably measure implicit bias and the results of it.
So what causes all the above? Well Americans of all races view black people as fundamentally different than white people even though we all have the same human physiology and race is a social construct.
Contemporary studies have revealed that:
Blacks are seen by Americans as less innocent than whites and people generally.
Americans adultify black children. Americans view black girls as less innocent and more mature for their age, from ages 5 to 14 which means they’re more likely to say that black girls, compared to white girls, need less nurturing, less protection, to be supported less, to be comforted less, are more independent, know more about adult topics, and know more about sex. This leads to stereotyping in which innocent mistakes by kids are treated as if they’re willful crimes by adults.
Because of the above, black children are more likely to be diagnosed as having oppositional defiant disorder or conduct disorder rather than depression, anxiety, ADD, ptsd etc that white children with the same symptoms get diagnosed with.
When Americans believe a man in a random image is black, they generally see the man as larger, more threatening, and potentially more harmful in an altercation than a white person. And they are more likely to say use of force is justified against the black men than a white men.
Americans tend to associate black-sounding names like DeShawn and Jamal, with larger, more violent people than they do white-sounding names like Connor and Garrett even though the FBI has called the white supremacy terrorist threat the greatest threat of violence to the American people.
The above helps explain why someone like Aaron Dean would have that much fear about the young women Atatiana Jefferson who was in her apartment playing video games when he murdered her. He saw a black person and that scared him.
Moreover,
White families hold 90% of the national wealth, black families hold 2.6%
Blacks and Native Americans experience the highest poverty rates while whites experience the lowest poverty rates.
Black families have a fraction of the wealth of white families, leaving them more economically insecure and with far fewer opportunities for economic mobility
Black households have far less access to tax-advantaged forms of savings, due in part to a long history of employment discrimination and other discriminatory practices.
A well-documented history of mortgage market discrimination means that blacks are significantly less likely to be homeowners than whites, which means they have less access to the savings and tax benefits that come with owning a home.
Persistent labor market discrimination and segregation force blacks into fewer and less advantageous employment opportunities than their white counterparts.
Blacks have less access to stable jobs, good wages, and retirement benefits at work
Under the current tax code, families with higher incomes receive increased tax incentives associated with both housing and retirement savings. Because blacks tend to have lower incomes, they inevitably receive fewer tax benefits—even if they are homeowners or have retirement savings accounts. The bottom line is that persistent housing and labor market discrimination and segregation worsen the damaging cycle of wealth inequality.
If we look at media, white is positioned as normal in most forms of every medium. If the cast has more blacks than whites it’s considered a black film or tv show. Disney won’t even let black ppl in its animated movies unless they’re animals because black bodies connote something to white people they don’t want in Disney movies. Most music, film, tv and books have to be approved by white editors and gate keepers before being released.
The protests aren’t exclusively over the episodic instance of George Floyd or even just the systemic police violence against mostly black people. We’re tired of all the above being true yet having white people still gaslight us about it. It took less than an hour to gather these statistics from credible sources and each statistic for the most part can be summarized in a single sentence yet so many intelligent white people still claim racism isn’t an issue and they don’t see race, meaning of course they refuse to do anything about it. We’re tired of that.
Having implicit bias is how we are conditioned to be. We saw representations of black people on tv, read about them in skewed reporting, heard rap music released on labels controlled and dominated by white voices and opinions and I bet for a lot of you white folks reading this, your families taught you in good faith that a certain kind of black person is bad. It’s not just a police problem, it’s a problem with how we are all conditioned to think.
There is clearly a national problem in 2020 stemming from multidimensional wide spread deeply ingrained implicit biases. We all have implicit biases, you can have black friends and family members and have racist thoughts and actions. You can be black and have implicit bias against black ppl. It doesn’t mean we’re bad people, it means we’re humans brought up in a society where ideologies of whiteness are positioned as default and black is often depicted as wrong.
Admitting that all this is true is one of the most patriotic things you can do today. This country was founded on racism, it’s embedded in our thinking, our culture and our actions. White people went from enslaving blacks for centuries to watching black people hang while enjoying picnic lunches and castrating young black males during lynchings and mutilations to rendering the lives of brown people systemically worse and more difficult than those of white people.
If you’re truly patriotic, you love what you know this country can be more than what it currently is. The most patriotic people want what’s best for this country and know it can go in that direction if we all put in the work necessary to get it there. I love this country and the people in it and I know that when we admit our biases and that we all perceive race and the connotations behind it, we can have real discussions and implement systemic level meaningful changes. When this happens, we will move forward as a nation better and more successful than we ever have been. No more pretending we don’t see race because when we bottle it up these resentments build and black people are getting killed because of it. I’ve come to learn that the people who say race doesn’t matter to them or that they don’t see race tend to have the strongest opinions and beliefs about race and black people. To address this we have to talk about it. It's the only way.
A lot of you have been posting “no lives matter” but I know you don’t believe that. You believe your significant others, families, friends and loved ones matter, you all do. I know it’s hard to admit for many of you but black lives do matter. If the phrase black lives matter offends you, you gotta look inside and ask why. I’m sure you’ve all heard the burning house analogy by now but here it is.
We know that black people have been disproportionately killed, mutilated and injured by white people and white police officers throughout modern history. If only red houses on a block were on fire would you say all houses matter and use the firefighting resources to spray the water and anti fire powder on all the houses? No, you have to label and identify the houses that are in trouble to address the problem. This doesn’t mean other houses aren’t important, they just aren’t the ones burning.
Just think about it on the most basic level, if it bothers you to say the lives of black people have value, you have some real deep level bigotry to process and that’s on you as an adult not on anybody else...but I’m not mad at you about it. Think about what kind of energy you want to be putting out there. Do you want to have the far corners of your subconscious hate a certain kind of black person because of how they dress, walk and talk? Do you want to have to look your grandkids in the face and say that you didn’t want to help fix all the problems in the statistics I listed at the beginning of this post? I don’t believe any of you think like that. It's gonna take work, the kind that takes years to go through and a lot of pain for everybody but we can do it as a nation, I know we can do better. But that’s just it, we have to do something, being silent on this or denying it affirms the power structures that ultimately hurt us all.
Edit: Formatting and to clarify that I didn't write this, a friend did online and I felt it is worth sharing because it explains the issues in a very well written and easy to understand way. Not just for fellow Americans but for the foreigners who aren't understanding what's really happening.

SnK Chapter 130 Poll Results

The chapter poll closed with 1775 responses. This month’s poll results were brought to you by u/staraves, Crunchwrap, Luna, Momtaku and Giovata! Thank you to everyone for your support!
RATE THE CHAPTER
Maybe it was finally getting Eren’s POV, or maybe it was finally seeing the rumbling in nine glorious double page spreads. Either way “Dawn for Humanity” was very well received with close to 70% giving it the highest possible rating, making this the most acclaimed chapter since 123
WHICH OF THE FOLLOWING WAS YOUR FAVORITE MOMENT?

https://preview.redd.it/9z6a57e9onc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=a9ddf531275a580104648f74be1f9975d752fd55
“The revelation of Eren’s freaky final boss form” was our favorite moment (22.7%) followed by “Eren’s POV finally! Sort of?” (15.8%) and “The rumbling! At last!” (13.4%). “Historia and Eren’s tense discussion on the farm” came in fourth (11.6%).
WHO WAS THIS CHAPTER'S MVP?

https://preview.redd.it/3af921teonc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=8ef5aba6349f40bbd751a6f5a64d8c9d3e1e558d
“The colossal synchronized swim team” made an impressive showing (28.5%) but their majestic moves across the ocean were not enough to topple Eren (53.6%) for chapter MVP. Historia (8.1%), Zeke (5%), and Annie (3.5%) also received some love.
WHAT DOES THE CHAPTER TITLE "DAWN FOR HUMANITY" REFER TO?
WHAT ARE THE FUTURE IMPLICATIONS OF ANNIE DECIDING SHE'S TIRED OF FIGHTING AND NO LONGER WANTS TO STOP EREN?

https://preview.redd.it/pnwo2uvfonc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=52218b0e59e41462ddc71283c7349fab305e106b
Despite learning that her hometown is doomed, just over half of respondents feel confident Annie will continue to work with the alliance. Among the rest of responses, 27.4% think she will leave to find her father on her own, 16.9% believe this will cause Annie to do something stupid resulting in her death, and lastly 4% of the fandom believe this bad news will trigger her homicidal instincts and put her on team Eren.
WHAT WILL BE THE FATES OF THE ELDIANS IN LIBERIO, SPECIFICALLY THE WARRIORS' FAMILIES
View graph
When asked about the residents of Liberio and the fate of the Warriors’ families, a combined 58% believe that they are alive for the moment selecting that they were evacuated (39.3%) or else managed to escape (18.4%). Close to 30% aren’t so optimistic, believing Liberio is flattened and they are dead. We also had plenty of write in responses:
HOW DID YOU FEEL ABOUT HISTORIA'S STANCE ON THE RUMBLING?
View graph
Many of us had expectations about Historia going into this chapter. Her initially resistance to the rumbling but seemingly giving in was a surprise to 8.4% who thought she would have been all for it all along and 19.9% who never expected her to agree with it at all. 6.4% of you expected her to do the opposite of what is implied, agreeing at first but changing her mind in the conversation, and 23.3% reported expecting exactly what happened. However, a huge 41.5% of you aren’t taking everything at face value and do not believe Historia does or has ever supported the rumbling.
DO YOU BELIEVE EREN IS THE FATHER?

https://preview.redd.it/t7dfwm1honc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=ea16623e046a4f1b84570f17129f0999946b4c97
After almost 2 years of the fandom fighting over the identity of Historia’s baby daddy, this chapter has finally definitively proven that… we still know nothing. Nonetheless, the narrowly winning belief (37%) is that Eren is the father, closely followed by those who believe he is not the father (34.4%). Some are unsure what to make of the situation (18.2%), and some of you don’t care enough to speculate (10.4%).
HOW HAVE YOUR FEELINGS ON THIS CHANGED DUE TO THIS CHAPTER?

https://preview.redd.it/18i8lk2ionc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=e6610445c2d745521411b72b516bd382b1cd2014
35% went into the chapter thinking Eren was not the father and 30% believing he was, with this chapter doing nothing to change their minds. For those who were affected, this chapter influenced 14.2% to join the team #DaddyEren and 5.6% to burn their membership card. The remaining 15% don’t care enough to speculate.
SO THEN WHAT'S THE REAL DEAL WITH HISTORIA'S PREGNANCY?
View graph
“What’s the deal with Historia’s pregnancy?” Jerry Seinfeld asks. But we cannot answer – we can only sustain ourselves on memes and ship wars. Despite Eren and Historia’s somewhat uneasy conversation, a solid third of you remain sure that Eren is the father. A little over a fifth of you think she did the dirty with Farmer-kun instead. And another fifth is expecting smoething unforeseen (watermelon baby?). Some of you scream to the sky, sick of all the drama. And a few of you wouldn’t rule out a PATHS baby through… Ymir’s doing! No, not that Ymir. THAT Ymir.
WHY DO YOU THINK HISTORIA IS PROPOSING A PREGNANCY?

https://preview.redd.it/c2lxh9zkonc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=094e1e1a44c4b2bb98990c6f2fde2fe85ce4409e
Despite a majority of respondents believing the pregnancy is authentic, there is no consensus as to why Historia would propose it. The most popular answer when asked was “I don’t know” (32.2%). The remainder of the fandom is split between Historia proposing the pregnancy in support of Eren (23.1%), as part of an alternative plan (21%) or as an act of defiance against Eren (17.6%). Only a small percentage (6.1%) believe she actually wants a child.
WE LEARNED WHAT ZEKE REALLY TOLD EREN ABOUT THE ACKERBOND. ARE YOU SATISFIED WITH EVERYTHING WE HAVE LEARNED ABOUT THE ACKERMAN CLAN?

https://preview.redd.it/83te3x6monc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=30bcfc295b0b2954ace0e162b6580a411028f73c
75% of the fandom wants more resolution to the Ackermysteries with 38.4% wanting MOAR and 32.3% wanting at least a little more. Only 22.3% are satisfied with the ackercrumbs we’ve been tossed and 7% have no opinion.
HOW ACCURATE WAS ZEKE'S ASSESSMENT OF MIKASA'S FEELINGS TOWARD EREN?

https://preview.redd.it/axs6bt2nonc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=2171024877c0601a842c5ab186ed24a0bad8545e
One of the few areas of agreement in this chapter was with Zeke’s assessment of Mikasa’s feelings towards Eren. Close to 80% think that Zeke correctly understands that Mikasa’s concern for Eren has little to do with genetics and everything to do with reasons of the heart. However, the majority of people who took the option of writing in their answer cited both as a factor in Mikasa’s bond.
HOW DID YOU FEEL ABOUT THE PLACEMENT OF FLASHBACKS DURING THIS CHAPTER?
View graph
The majority of the fandom really enjoyed the inception-like flashbacks, but 1/5th just found it confusing as all hell. A sixth of the fandom is just fed up with Isayama blue-balling us. We’ve been in this relationship 10+ years, Yams, it’s time for you to give it up!
WHAT IS THE MEANING BEHIND EREN IMPLYING HE "WANTED THIS", REGARDING THE FUTURE OF THE RUMBLING?

https://preview.redd.it/h1lvm53oonc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=d73eab2bf361fbe43cec08049dd635bce9fd6ae9
Continuing Eren’s ongoing theme of the question of free will and determinism, this chapter presented us with the possibility that Eren wanted this outcome from the start. The majority of respondents to this question (54.7%) believe that Eren is just convincing himself there was no other possible future after seeing it play out in front of his very eyes, and with 17.1% believing him to be an unreliable narrator. A smaller 12% believe this is confirmation that Eren’s vengeful nature caused this, closely followed by 9.5% of you who just think he is a lunatic.
THIS BURST OF PANELS SHOWS A VARIETY OF SCENES FROM EREN'S POV, BUT SOME SCENES APPEAR TO BE FROM A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE OR ENTIRELY NEW SCENES. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
View graph
Nearly 45% of the people who voted, thought it was a deus ex machina move from Founding Titan by Proxy, which granted Eren a glimpse at all Eldians’ memories. Almost a third think that Eren was actually able to control their memories. 14% of all voters are just “wtf…? I dunno” at all the Pathsnanigans.
THIS CHAPTER SHOWED US ANOTHER MEMORY OF FEZ-KUN, FINDING HIMSELF IN TROUBLE AGAIN. WHAT DO YOU THINK IS THE MEANING BEHIND HIS HIDDEN STORY?

https://preview.redd.it/mfbpbm8ponc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=0c242b8c217ff5f9eee1cde51e9333bd580cc024
The mystery of the Fez persists once again, with this being the tenth chapter since he was first shown. Though by a small margin, the consensus is that the purpose of his story is to reaffirm Eren’s determination to wipe out the world at 44.8%, with 33.4% of respondents believing he will be a tie to Eren’s compassion and remorse for what he is doing. 17.1% believe it highlights Eren’s inherent hypocrisy for caring for him even though he will die by his actions later. Many write-in options expressed confusion at who this kid is.
SWIMMING TITANS?

https://preview.redd.it/lcperpiqonc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=e958e0593382f0e480dcef21a68009034c442569
88% of you welcome your Swimming Titan overlords, but 12% aren’t so convinced - there’s a pretty even chance it’s because the image is just too absurd, too terrifying, or a pants-wetting combination of both.
WHEN THE MILITARY SIGHTS ERENSAURUS AT THE END, RATHER THAN CALLING IT THE FOUNDING TITAN OR EREN JAEGER, THEY RECOGNISE IT AS THE ATTACK TITAN. WHY?

https://preview.redd.it/g7vohnksonc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=9d66dcfdebc021479685a347f7f017656440ad5b
When he isn’t “Eren Jaeger”, the world likes to call our genocidal boy “the Founding Titan”, but this chapter is an exception. The plurality (40.3%) is that this was just for the purpose of Isayama being able to drop a “Shingeki no Kyojin” in this climactic chapter, though a close second option (34%) is that there is historical information to sight the Attack Titan. 15.2% of you believe the Attack Titan is the Titan Bogeyman for Marleyans, and 10.4% attribute the naming to the fact that it’s attacking them, duh.
NOW THAT WE FINALLY GOT TO SEE EREN'S SPINE-CHILLING (BADUM-TSS) FORM, WHAT DID YOU THINK?

https://preview.redd.it/z8madqowonc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=c2ccd9749eb2d2a753069cd02fca7cbfc90bc50e
This manga has turned into a horror show, and y’all seem to be loving it, according to over fifty percent. Thirty percent are aghast at the sight before them, and nearly a tenth don’t really know what to think of the Grim Reaper titan. Some of you wanted something more fully formed, but this creepy crawly is freaky enough, isn’t it? Let’s just be glad none of us live in Marley right now.
WHY IS EREN'S CURRENT TITAN FORM A SKELETON WITH NO FLESH?
View graph
Eren is looking awfully spooky right now. That’s a good sign, isn’t it? I guess looking like a death metal album cover is better than looking like whatever Rod Reiss was supposed to be. 34.9% figure it’s too big for flesh, or PATHS sand ran out. 34.6% think that the form is incomplete because of the missing titan powers; this is only a third of his potential scariness! 23% think there’s no real reason in-story reason for this, and 7.6% think Eren is still not done forming this devilish beast.
WHAT IS ISAYAMA TRYING TO SAY WITH THE PUPPET-LIKE MOTIF OF EREN'S TITAN?
View graph
Many have noticed the puppet-like strings connecting Eren’s torso and head to his stegosaurus spikes, but what does it mean? Him being a slave to himself (38%) just edged out him being a slave to fate (36.7%), with a slim minority (3.3%) believing Ymir could be the true puppeteer. Of course, there are the 21.9% of you who are remaining steadfast in the belief that Eren is NOT a slave, he is FREE.
WHERE IS EREN'S HUMAN BODY MOST LIKELY RESIDING?

https://preview.redd.it/5wnnv1nxonc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=7e168bfaa947d6b58b35c892eba514b9b9024050
The results for this are a mixed bag, though it’s most popular (29.1%) that Eren has no human form, and has merged with the Titan on some level, with a close second (28.8%) believing him to be separate from the Titan but not in the conventional sense, operating it from the ocean with the Warhammer power. 27.9% of you believe he is in the standard position of the nape, and 14.2% of you believe the head of the Attack Titan could be his true location.
THE CHAPTER ENDS WITH CHILD EREN'S DETERMINATION TO "DESTROY THEM" OVERLAPPING WITH ADULT EREN COMMANDING THE RUMBLING. WHICH STATEMENT IS THE MOST ACCURATE REGARDING THIS COMPARISON?
View graph
This curious panelling choice ends the chapter, giving us a peek into Eren's mind – but in true Isayama fashion with ambiguous meaning. 45.6% believe it shows that Eren’s fixed perception of the world, his will and titan powers simple giving him the means to affect it. 26.4% think it’s a reminder of Eren’s tragic tendency to believe that peace cannot exist without the elimination of an opposing force. 16.8% think it demonstrates Eren’s willing or unwilling continuation of the cycle of hatred and revenge. Finally, 9.1% think there’s a hint here that Eren’s childhood self was cursed by his future self's thoughts.
THIS CHAPTER ALSO PRESENTED US WITH TWO ALMOST DICHOTOMIC MOTIVATIONS FOR EREN, BETWEEN LOVE FOR HIS FRIENDS AND HATE FOR THE ENEMY, BUT WHICH DO YOU BELIEVE IS THE STRONGER DRIVING FORCE?

https://preview.redd.it/qvlvsk1zonc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=2123803ce07194ba00ab1c58a63451af200d47db
The two most powerful and conflicting emotions driving Eren right now have the fanbase somewhat split over what pushes him further. It seems that most are optimistic about Eren’s prime motivation being the wellbeing of his friends at 59.7%. Meanwhile 40.3% believe that Eren’s love for his friends has been eclipsed by the roiling hatred and thirst for vengeance within him. Even at this point in the story, it’s hard to be absolutely certain – safe to say Eren is a real menace when he feels this strongly about anything.
ON A SCALE FROM "SECRET PLAN" TO "KILL 'EM ALL", WHERE DO YOU STAND ON EREN'S TRUE INTENTIONS?

https://preview.redd.it/hp1q1yb0pnc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=35ed0e42b62afeaeb16fcbe6edb8d636cf8e42c4
This chapter all but confirmed that Eren indeed plans to wipe out the entire outside world for most of the fandom. The majority are skewed towards the opinion of Eren definitely rumbling everything, with less and less respondents holding onto hope that Eren has an alternate plan.
WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THE REPEATED BIRD IMAGERY?

https://preview.redd.it/ccu14w61pnc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=ecf061c4d547987b32fc4f758c99345303543127
Birds are a focal point of this chapter, with panels of seagulls and geese. The majority (62.5%) believe the birds simply tie into the theme of, and likely Eren’s motivation of freedom. In a distant second (20.9%) is the answer that it relates to the idea of everyone being connected under the same sky, a fitting motif amidst this chapter’s exploration of the conflict and unity of different groups. 12.7% of you are hopping on board the “Eren is a bird now” train, and 4% of you just really don’t like birds.
THIS CHAPTER HAD SOME AMAZING ART, SHOWCASED IN THE MANY DOUBLE SPREAD. WHICH WAS YOUR FAVORITE?
View graph and display
The art has definitely taken a step up this month, with nine glorious double spreads. Though the result is split, the results praise the final double spread showcasing the commencing of the rumbling (18.2%). At second (15.7%) was the imposing silhouettes of colossal titans rising from the ocean, and at a very close third (15.5%) was the very next spread of the battleship destruction.. If there’s one thing to take from the winners’ similarity, the rumbling payoff was sweet for all.
CHAPTER 130 MARKS THE END OF A VOLUME, WHICH HAS BEEN FILLED WITH ALLIANCE-FOCUSED CHAPTERS. WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS NOW THAT WE'VE FINALLY RETURNED TO EREN?

https://preview.redd.it/3yu7zfv2pnc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=5a520f8ed27d70e611d7c7c75b927d9d3a2ee28c
After six consecutive chapters focusing on the alliance with no Eren, the majority of you (57.6%) are relieved to finally move past them, though have enjoyed the recent chapters, with 20.4% being completely over the alliance. 7.4% say they were originally sceptical but the character have grown on them, and 14.6% are open to more chapters just focused on the alliance.
DESCRIBE THIS CHAPTER IN ONE WORD
The top 5 write-ins are below, followed by the average chapter score for each description. This months’ average chapter score was 4.59.
  1. Amazing [4.89]
  2. Epic [4.84]
  3. Eren/Ereh [4.69]
  4. Rumbling [4.46]
  5. Confusing [3.88]
Honorable mention: Ragnarok
We’d also like to mention that there were a lot of write-ins related to genitals and coitus… seems like y’all were really hyped up by that first fanlation >.>
WHAT ARE YOU MOST HOPING TO SEE NEXT CHAPTER?

https://preview.redd.it/erobw0s3pnc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=048a14884a9eaf9b878eca17f8a0932e230b6e23
Despite this chapter theoretically giving us everything we had hoped for in a while, the responses show that we still want WAY MORE answers (34.6%), MORE Historia (16.9%) and MORE rumbling action (14.5%). We’d also like to know where on earth Zeke is and if Floch is going to be the little troublemaker that we know and have strong feelings about. Will the boat make it to Odiha? Will Levi do a thing? Stay tuned!

Jerry: So, you swipe her, she swipes you?
George: That's generally the way it works, yes.
Jerry: How soon after the lockdown do you two plan on going out?
George: We're going out tonight.
Jerry: YOU'RE GOING OUT TONIGHT? What are you, crazy? Doesn't
she care that there's a worldwide pandemic?
George: Well, it's not really worldwide anymore, and... she
already had it.
Jerry: What do you mean she already had it?
George: She had it - got over it.
Jerry: She got over it?
George: Yeah, but she said it was a rough couple of weeks. She's
got antibodies and everything.
Jerry: But what about you? You don't have any antibodies. Isn't
she worried about you?
George: I, uh [scratches head] told her I had it.
Jerry: YOU DID WHAT?
George: I told her I had it in March and that I was
asymptomatic.
Jerry: Oh you're symptomatic alright!
George: It's just that she's so pretty and she swiped on me,
Jerry. Nobody pretty ever swipes on me. It's just my luck, a
beautiful woman swipes on me and we're in the middle of a
pandemic.
Jerry: You're crazy! You're gonna get yourself killed!
George: No, there's like a 99.7 percent survival rate. I take a
bigger risk every time I cross the street.
Jerry: But what about your parents? If you give it to them,
it'll kill ‘em.
George: That gives me an idea!
Jerry: You’re going to kill your parents?
George: NO, I’M NOT GOING TO KILL MY PARENTS! intentionally. The
Yankees just announced that anybody who tests positive gets six
weeks off. Paid leave, Jerry! Whether they have symptoms or not.
Steinbrenner is so freaked out about the covid he doesn’t want
anyone who tests positive setting foot in Yankee Stadium.
Jerry: Let me see if I have this straight: you are willing to
expose yourself to the single greatest public health threat in
modern American history... just so that you can get some time off?
George: And maybe some sex.
Kramer [enters]: who’s having sex?
Jerry: NOBODY is having sex!
George [to Jerry]: I still don’t think you should have let him
in the pod.
Kramer: Of course I’m in the pod. I live across the hall.
George: Well it makes me very uncomfortable. Nobody knows what
it is you... do. You’re probably not following the protocols.
Kramer: I’m washing my hands. I have hand sanitizer. See?[Kramer
pulls out sanitizer, attempts to squirt it on his hands, squirts
his eye, reaches up to cover his eye, squirts sanitizer on the
floor, reaches for a towel, and falls to the ground] [from the
floor, whimpering] I’m listening to the CDC!
Jerry [to Kramer still on the floor]: Even after the whole pig
man coverup? Listen, you going to the protest?
Kramer[standing up]: I don’t think so.
Jerry: You don’t think so? Why not?
Kramer: That’s just what they want you to do. Go to the protest.
So they can capture your identity with facial recognition — then
you’re in the system, Jerry.
Jerry: What system?
Kramer: THE system. Jerry, once you’re in there, they got you.
Jerry: They got you how?
Kramer: Well, you’re in the system.
Jerry: I STILL DON’T KNOW WHAT SYSTEM!
Kramer: That’s how they want it.
Jerry: Who’s ‘they’?
Kramer (chuckling): Don’t be naive, buddy, “They” are.
Jerry: Well I’m going.
Kramer: You’re going to the protest? [laughs] You?
Jerry: Yeah, me, what about me?
Kramer: Jerry, those pigs are gonna eat you alive!
Jerry: Oh come on, Kramer, it won’t be that bad. This is
America.
[The two exchange a look]
Jerry: Maybe I better borrow that motorcycle helmet you conned
out of Newman.
Kramer: Now wait a minute. I’ve never seen you go to a protest
before. You hate crowds.
Jerry: Well it’s just Trump, he makes me so mad!
Kramer: That’s not it.
Jerry: That is it! I mean come on ‘person, woman, man, camera,
tv!’ And he’s such a phoney baloney.
Kramer: No, no, no. You don’t care about politics. There’s a
woman in this. Out with it, Mochungus. What’s the young lady’s
name?
Jerry: What’s in a name? I didn’t know your name for years,
Cosmo!
Kramer: C’mon, out with it.
George: Now I want to know too.
Jerry ...It’s Karen, ok?! Are you happy now?
Kramer [laughing]: Does she want to speak to the manager?
Jerry: NO SHE DOESN’T WANT TO SPEAK TO THE MANAGER!
George: What’s her story?
Jerry: I met her on Nextdoor. We both hate the same person who
never cleans up after their dog when it goes to the bathroom by
that tree out front.
George: The tree that smells like pee?
Jerry: No, one down from the pee tree. The tree with the hedge
around it.
Kramer: Did you just say the dog goes to the bathroom?
Jerry: I did. I find the whole process repulsive. Most of the
dog walkers clean up after their dogs, but there’s this one
person, they never clean it up. I mean there’s a new one there
everyday. And here’s the thing, nobody’s ever seen them.
George: How do you know it’s the same dog?
Jerry: She’s been taking pictures.
George: Who’s been taking pictures?
Jerry: The woman on Nextdoor, Karen. She takes pictures of them,
each day, like a record, and they’re all the same.
George: They’re all the same?
Jerry: I wouldn’t imagine they’re identical. Frankly, I have no
interest in viewing the evidence. But I’ll tell you she makes a
convincing case that they all come from the same dog.
George: A convincing case based on pictures you haven’t even
looked at?
Jerry: Well, she possesses other, physical attributes, that have
been reported to have influenced men’s decision making processes
in the past.
Kramer: A ghost pooper.
Jerry: Not a ghost pooper Kramer, this person is an agent of
fecal disorder. A person so callous and deranged that they’ve
lost even the basic decency required to clean up their dog’s
excrement, undermining the very social contract that undergirds
our society.
Kramer: Oh, it undergirds it?
Jerry: Yes, it undergirds it.
George: Yeah, you’re going to a protest to impress a woman who
takes pictures of dog turds, and I have a problem!
Jerry [to Kramer]: Can you just get me the helmet?
SCENE 2
EXTERIOR CAFE - DAY
JERRY AND KAREN SEATED AT AN OUTDOOR CAFE, MASKED. KAREN’S NOSE IS EXPOSED.
Karen [to the waitress]: I’d like to speak to the manager.
Jerry [looking pained]: So we’re going to the protest on Friday?
Karen: Absolutely.
The manager [a white woman, approaches the table]: What seems to
be the problem?
Karen: I’m sorry to bother you, but I just noticed that more
than half your waitresses are black.
Manager: I’m sorry?
Karen: Your staff, they’re too diverse.
Manager: Too diverse?
Karen: Too diverse. Statistically speaking white people make up
roughly half the population, but more than half of your staff
today appear to be people of color.
Manager[exasperated]: I’ll see what I can do.
Jerry’s inner voice: Who is this awful woman, and why am I so
attracted to her?
SCENE 3
EXTERIOR DIFFERENT CAFE - DAY
GEORGE AND MARLENE ARE SEATED AT AN OUTDOOR TABLE. NO MASKS.
Manager [standing at the table]: I’m sorry we require all of our
customers to wear masks.
Marlene: I have a medical exemption [reaches for purse] you see
I had the Coronavirus. It was terrible. I almost died.
George: Me too.
Manager: Oh I’m so sorry. That’s ok. I don’t need to see
anything. I’ll bring you both some nice, warm tea. On the house.
George: On the house. Wow.
Marlene: That’s so nice of you. [to George] Once they find out I
had it, everyone treats me so nicely. It’s like I’ve made some
great sacrifice or something. But you know about that, right?
George: I always wanted to make a sacrifice. But of course you
have to actually have something before you can give it up.
[snorts, then grows serious] I feel like, because I was
asymptomatic, it wouldn’t be right to flaunt my encounter. I try
not to mention it to people.
Marlene: That’s very big of you. The other day I got a free meal
at Mendy’s after the manager heard about my ordeal.
George: A free meal at Mendy’s? That’s amazing! [He leans in]
Marlene [coughing into elbow]: I’m sorry.
George [leaning in further]: That’s ok.
SCENE 4
EXTERIOR CAFE - DAY
JERRY AND KAREN ARE PACKING UP AND PREPARING TO LEAVE THEIR TABLE
Jerry: I just think it’s a little bit much to ask the manager
over to the table to complain that there aren’t enough white
people working here.
Karen: Jerry, I’m only being fair.
Jerry’s inner voice: I hate this woman.
Jerry [watching the woman get up from the table, when she turns
to him, he smiles]: Your mask... it’s [gestures] your nose, it’s
showing.
Karen: Oh, of course. [pulls up mask - turns away for a moment -
when she turns back, her nose is again exposed]
SCENE 5
EXTERIOR DIFFERENT CAFE - DAY
GEORGE AND MARLENE STILL SEATED AT TABLE
Marlene: So I had a fever of 104. I was literally hallucinating.
I thought my grandma was going to climb out of my remote control
and murder me. And the headache. You wouldn’t believe the
headache. It was like my head was being crushed in a vice.
George [pulling away a little]: What’d that last, a couple of
days?
Woman: Two weeks of the worst agony you can imagine. I wished I
was dead.
George: I’ve wished I was dead.
Woman: No, for real. And the vomiting.
George: Vomiting?
Woman: I never thought it would end. And now I’ve got nerve
damage.
George [pulling back further]: Nerve damage?
Woman: The doctors, they just don’t know. But what about you?
What’s your prognosis?
George: My prognosis? Good prognosis, really good prognosis.
It’s almost not even a prognosis, it’s so good. A “prognosis,”
that’s something for sick people. What I got is better than a
prognosis.
Woman: So you’re ok?
George: Better than ok.
SCENE 6
INT. JERRY’S APARTMENT - NIGHT
ZOOM CALL: JERRY AND KRAMER IN JERRY’S APARTMENT, ELAINE AND GEORGE ARE SEEN ON THEIR LAPTOP SCREEN
Jerry: David Putty said ‘all lives matter?
Elaine: Yep.
Jerry: No!
Elaine: Yessiree bob.
Jerry: Surely he must’ve been joking.
Elaine: Oh no, get this, he said (imitates Putty) ‘Of course all
lives matter, what’s so controversial about that? I don’t care
if you’re white, brown, black, or purple. I love everybody.’
Kramer: He sounds nice. What’s the matter with that?
Elaine: It’s idiotic Kramer! THERE ARE NO PURPLE PEOPLE!
Kramer: My friend Bob Sacamano’s uncle was purple. He ate a bad
rutabaga when he was a kid. He was like a smurf.
George: Weren’t smurfs blue?
Jerry, Elaine, Kramer: SHUT UP GEORGE!
Jerry: So what did you do?
Elaine: I changed the subject. I didn’t want to get into a whole
thing. It’s not like he said ‘no lives matter.’ What’s the big
deal?
Jerry: What’s the big deal? You’re dating someone who refuses to
acknowledge systemic racism. That’s the big deal. I bet he
listens to Joe Rogan. Does he listen to Joe Rogan, Elaine?
Elaine: Maybe a little. He says he likes the drug stuff.
Jerry: And?
Elaine: ...and the Musk interviews.
Jerry: See! You’re just a tweak away from dating Ben Shapiro!
For god sakes, Elaine, he doesn’t watch Fox, does he?
Elaine: You don’t suppose... he wants to...
Jerry: Make America great again?
Elaine [shuddering]: Why do you care so much?
Jerry: Who says I care? I don’t care.
Elaine: It sure seems like you care. What about your date? What
are Karen’s political beliefs?
Jerry: I don’t know. We didn’t get into politics.
Elaine: OK, well, I gotta go.
[Jerry and Kramer remain on Jerry’s couch]
Kramer: Are you gonna see her again?
Jerry: I don’t know. She’s driving me crazy. She’s a nose
exposer.
Kramer: A nose exposer?
Jerry: A nose exposer! She exposes her nose. She’s got the mask,
she’s wearing the mask, but there’s the nose, peeking out.
Kramer: Peeking out?
Jerry: Yes, peeking out, hello, it’s like a nasal burlesque
show.
Kramer: So you don’t like her nose?
Jerry: Fine nose, great nose, really a very nice nose, BUT I
DON’T WANT TO SEE IT. Not now. Maybe when the infection rate
goes down.
Kramer: But Jerry, that nose is forbidden fruit! This woman is
teasing you with the greatest sensual tool at her command, and
you’re gonna refuse that?
Jerry: Kramer, you know how I feel about mucus! But this woman
is so attractive I can’t even think straight. Get this, she
noticed that less than half the waitresses at the restaurant
were white and she... she...
Kramer: She what?
Jerry: Oh, nevermind.
Kramer: She noticed less than half the waitresses there were
white and she what, Jerry?
Jerry [mumbling]: she might have asked for the manager.
Kramer: She asked to speak to the manager?!
Jerry: She may have, yes. So what? You know that isn’t a very
nice stereotype.
Kramer: Jerry, listen to me very carefully. You are messing with
the forces of nature. Cut your losses and get out. Do you
remember, three years ago_
Jerry: I think so.
Kramer: Do you remember the woman I met at the ceramics
workshop... Whose name was...
Jerry: Karen! Hey didn’t she key your car?
Kramer: She did more than that. She keyed my heart, Jerry. She
dragged that jagged key through my entire life. I had to change
my phone number because of her, twice. My mother had to change
her phone number! [Pauses] You know by focusing on race, your
Karen’s really missing the bigger picture. I mean it doesn’t
matter who works there. They all have the value of their labor
stolen by the owner, who’s probably chomping on a cigar in the
back room, laughing at them.
Jerry: Have you been watching Left Tube again?
Kramer: Jerry, it all boils down to simple class warfare. The
proletariat are being stepped on.
Jerry: You don’t even know who the proletariat are, do you?
Kramer: They’re the workers. Like us.
Jerry: You haven’t had a job in thirty years!
Kramer: Jerry, don’t let your bourgeoisie entitlement blind you
to the systematic oppression of the capitalist machinery. You
may get up on your little stage and make your little jokes. But
out there, it’s like...
Jerry: A jungle?
Kramer: Yeah. You know you better give me Karen’s Twitter.
Jerry: You’re not gonna slide into her DM’s are you?
Kramer: No, I’m not gonna slide into her DM’s. I’m just gonna
make a little video and tag her to make sure she watches it.
What’s Putty’s Twitter? I’ll tag him too.
SCENE 7
MONTAGE OF PUTTY AND KAREN’S APARTMENTS - NIGHT
PUTTY AND KAREN IN THEIR OWN APARTMENTS, CLICKING ON KRAMER’S VIDEO.
Karen [reading a youtube video title]: “Karl Marx and Baseball”?
Putty clicks on the link and sits back, eating popcorn
robotically. Kramer appears on their screens, a cheap backdrop
displays a series of sensationally anti-capitalist images:
pollution, factory workers, miners, cubicle slaves. Severe
Soviet music segues into the crack of the bat and Kramer appears
in Left Tube garb]
Kramer: Did you know Karl Marx hated baseball? [Reaction shot:
Karen and Putty look shocked and confused] That’s right.
America’s pastime. ‘That’s crazy,’ you’re probably saying to
yourself. I mean did they even have baseball way back...
whenever Karl Marx was... born? But they did, and when Karl Marx
was a kid, he played baseball with the other kids in the
neighborhood. In... wherever he grew up. But that’s not the point.
The point is that Karl Marx was always the last one picked on a
team... [Putty is shown taking notes, Karen is clearly unswayed]
SCENE 8
JERRY’S APARTMENT - DAY
JERRY AND GEORGE SEATED ON JERRY’S COUCH
Jerry: So you like her?
George: I’m scared to death of her. I don’t know what I was
thinking Jerry! I sat right next to her. Now I could have it.
She coughed Jerry!
Jerry: I told you you were crazy.
George: Give me something to smell.
Jerry: What do you mean, something to smell?
George: I need something to smell. I can’t smell anything.
Jerry [goes to cupboard and opens it]: I have triscuits. Do
triscuits have a smell?
George [grabs the box of triscuits from Jerry and rips it open]:
I think triscuits have a smell! [George puts his nose deep into
the box]
Jerry: Well?
George: I can’t smell anything! You better smell, maybe
triscuits don’t have a smell. [shoves box towards Jerry]
Jerry: Oh no! I’m not putting my face anywhere near that
cardboard deathtrap after your maskless romp through the TB ward
with Typhoid Mary last night!
George: Then give me something else to smell.
Jerry: You know you really ought to be self-isolating.
George: I thought about it, but I interact with so few people I
didn’t think it would really make a difference.
Jerry: What about me? You might infect me.
George: You? Psshhh. You’d be fine.
Jerry: You don’t know that, George.
George: You could’ve been infected by the nose exposer. I have
viral deniability.
Jerry: Viral deniability?
George: Yeah, viral deniability. You could've gotten it from
her. You don’t know it was me. SCENE 9
ELAINE’S APARTMENT - NIGHT
ELAINE AND PUTTY ARE SEATED ON ELAINE’S COUCH
Putty: It’s systemic oppression, babe.
Elaine: Yeah, David, I get that, but, I’m STARVING! I just want
to order some food. Can we get GrubHub now?
Putty: You know they exploit their workers, right?
Elaine: Yes, David, I know. Everything is exploitation. It’s a
wonder people even get up in the morning. CAN WE ORDER SOME FOOD
NOW?
Putty: Sure, babe, as long as it’s vegan.
Elaine: Since when are you vegan?
Putty: Since today. Kramer’s video really opened my eyes. You
think those farm animals want their babies stolen? [Elaine looks
confused] Capitalism is the virus, Elaine. It’s all about our
bottom line. Because we’re dead inside.
Elaine [reaching for the remote and turning on the TV]: Ooh it’s
time for Ari Melber.
Putty: Ari Melber is a pig Elaine, a capitalist pig!
Elaine: Well then we better not try to steal his babies... The
Indian place on the corner is vegan. Go grab us something from
there. Then you’re the only one getting exploited.
SCENE 10
JERRY’S APARTMENT - NIGHT
JERRY AND KRAMER SEATED ON JERRY’S COUCH, ELAINE ON SCREEN IN
ZOOM MEETING
Elaine: I couldn’t listen to him anymore. He is driving me
crazy. He’s like... a Young Turk!
Kramer: What’s wrong with that?
Elaine: What’s wrong with that? He’s too far left!
Kramer: Too far left?
Elaine: Way too far left! He’s like.. like.. Jimmy Dore!
Kramer: Jimmy Dore is a moderate, Elaine.
Elaine: I just wanted him to stop saying ‘all lives matter.’ I
didn’t want Leon Trotsky reminding me of every little incident
of exploitation. I wanted an Ari Melber, Kramer. Not Bill Ayers.
Kramer: Typical liberal. You think you can pay lip service to
progressive ideas while you fritter away your life blissfully
unaware of the struggle. You know you both make me sick.
Jerry: What did I do?
Kramer: You sit up here with your button-down, plastic fantastic
lifestyle. You only go to a protest to impress some girl taking
pictures of dog turds on Nextdoor! Look at you, you're NIMBYs!
Why don't you just move to the suburbs already!
Jerry: I am not a NIMBY. I don't even have a backyard!
SCENE 11
JERRY’S APARTMENT - NIGHT
JERRY AND GEORGE ARE SEATED ON JERRY’S COUCH
George: Well now I gotta get tested!
Jerry: You went on a date with a disease vector, what did you
expect would happen?
George: I didn’t think it through. You know I’ve never once in
my life thought something through. Now they’re going to put that
big q-tip up my nose. You know I can’t handle that! It’s right
next to the brain, Jerry. What if I sneeze, right when it’s in
there? That could kill you. Has that killed anyone?
Jerry: Relax, no one has died from sneezing while the big q-tip
was in their nose.
George: Well I don’t think I can do it. Sit in that line of
cars. It’s like the White Castle drive through at two a.m. on a
Saturday night.
Jerry: Sunday morning.
George: Whatever! But there’s nothing to look forward to. You
wait and wait to get to the front of the line and they come at
you all garbed up like those evil scientists in “E.T.” And then
WHAM, up the nose...
Jerry: With a rubber hose. But you gotta do it. Listen, if it
scares you so much, I’ll go with you. You know I’m taking a big
risk letting you stay in the pod.
George: You’re kicking me out of the pod now?
Jerry: Where’s your hand sanitizer?
George [reaches for the sanitizer]: I left it at home.
Jerry: You don’t have your hand sanitizer, you’re out there
dating maskless in the middle of the pandemic. Are you going to
see her again?
George: We’re supposed to go for a walk later. You know she
lives right around the corner from here. What about you? Are you
going to see Karen again?
Jerry: I don’t know. This woman is driving me crazy. She’s so
attractive physically, and yet so unattractive in every other
way.
George: We should double date.
Jerry: Double date, during a pandemic? Is that a good idea?
George: No, see, we get tested together, we make sure they get
tested. If we’re all negative, we can form a new pod, like
Biosphere 2.
Jerry: Right, because locking ourselves into romantic
commitments has worked out so well for us in the past.
SCENE 12
ELAINE’S APARTMENT - NIGHT
PUTTY AND ELAINE ARE IN HER APARTMENT EATING INDIAN FOOD IN THE
LIVING ROOM
Putty: Food is good. Why do all the colonized countries have the
best food? Did we choose which countries to colonize based on
who had the best food?
Elaine: Well it’s a mystery for the ages. Got any plans this
weekend? Maybe we could Netflix... and chill.
Putty: Sure babe. But I’m going to Central Park on Saturday.
Elaine: Central Park on Saturday, why?
Putty: To protest team picking?
Elaine: What?
Putty: Picking teams. It’s not fair. Just cause you’re the best
player, you get picked first? If you stink, you get picked last?
How does that help your confidence?
Elaine: I don’t suppose it does. But doesn’t that seem like a
funny thing to protest? I mean there are bigger problems in the
world.
Putty: It’s a plenty big problem. Capitalism makes everything
into a competition.
Elaine: Baseball IS a COMPETITION, David.
Putty: Yeah, but it doesn't have to be.
Elaine: You got a better idea?
Putty: Yeah, maybe an adult could divide the kids into teams of
equal skill.
Elaine: That’s failed everywhere it’s ever been tried!
Putty: Those weren’t real tries, Elaine! That was just a bunch
of parents bossing their kids around.
Elaine: That’s what you’re proposing! Parents telling kids which
team they’re on.
Putty: I’m saying the parents can look at the kids’ abilities
and put them on the team that needs them the most.
Elaine: It’ll never work.
Putty: It will so work.
Elaine: Just look at Venezuela.
Putty: Venezuela has some of the best baseball players in the
world!
Elaine: Are we talking baseball or politics?
Putty: I don’t even know anymore. Forget this, I’m out of here!
SCENE 13
JERRY’S APARTMENT - DAY
JERRY AND GEORGE ARE SEATED ON JERRY’S COUCH
George: My phone just buzzed. It’s the results. It has to be. I
shut off all my other notifications.
Jerry: What about Tinder?
George: I left that one on. Just in case.
Jerry: Oh, my phone is buzzing too!
[They both reach for their phones]
George: Ok, let’s look together.
Jerry: Alright, we’ll put our finger on the notification in
3-2-1.
[They press their phones]
George: Wait wait, I didn’t put my thumb on the thing!
Jerry: Hurry up. It’s opening... opening.
George: Ok I’m there too.
Jerry [stabbing at his phone with his finger]: Test results!
Circle spinning circle spinning circle spinning...
Jerry: Negative - yes! Georgie Boy, what’d you get?!
George [despondent]: Negative.
Jerry: Alright, that’s great news!
George: Yeah, great news.
Jerry: What? You’re upset that you don’t have it now? You were
scared to death! You thought it was going to kill you.
George: I guess I just hoped that somewhere along the way I had
caught it. Why can’t I be an asymptomatic carrier? Couldn’t I
get lucky just this one time?
Jerry: You are lucky, George. You avoided catching a deadly
disease. Even after you purposefully set out to contract it.
George: Let’s text the girls, maybe they got their test results
back too.
Jerry: Just promise me you’ll wear a mask this time.
George: Sure, but what kind?
Jerry: How about one of those disposable surgical masks? Simple,
clean, shows you care but that you’re not vain about it.
George: No, no good. I don’t like the way those feel, and my
glasses always fog up.
Jerry: Did you try the trick?
George: What trick?
Jerry: The glasses trick. It’s on a YouTube video or something.
It was in my feed.
George: Well? What’s the trick?
Jerry: Oh, I don’t know. I don’t wear glasses.
George: Thanks a lot.
Jerry: I figured it’d be in your feed too. I mean you wear
glasses.
George: Well you could’ve tagged me.
Jerry: No, I don’t like tagging people.
George: Why not?
Jerry: I don’t know. I feel like I’m pointing. ‘Look at this!’
‘Look at that!’ I don’t want to be demanding. I hate when people
tag me.
George: It’s true. The only thing worse is the mention.
Jerry: Hate the mention.
George: I mean you have to click on it immediately.
Jerry: Nobody likes to be mentioned. If someone came up to you
and said, ‘oh, your name was mentioned at dinner last night’ how
would you feel?
George: Not good.
Jerry: You’d be scared out of your mind!
George: You could’ve sent me the link.
Jerry: I know, but the link was on Facebook, and our last
conversation was on Instagram, and I didn’t want to switch
because we were having a good discussion about Judge Judy in
that thread.
George: Hey, do you think she really is drunk on power?
Jerry: How could she not be? But let’s keep that on Instagram.
What about a bandana?
George: A bandana?
Jerry: For your mask.
George: A bandana. Yeah, that’s what Bruce Springsteen would
wear, right? I always thought he was cool. [Pauses] But if I
wear a hat and sunglasses, with the bandana I’ll look like the
invisible man. That’s no good.
Jerry: No, it’s not.
George: What about a homemade mask?
Jerry: You mean one you make for yourself?
George: No, like one that a loved one makes for me.
Jerry: Do you have any loved ones? What about your mother? Could
she make you one?
George: My mother doesn’t sew.
Jerry: OK, well, where could you get one?
George: I could buy one.
Jerry: You want to buy a mask that looks like it was made for
you by someone who loves you?
George: Yeah.
Jerry: George, we’re going out with them in 48 hours.
George: I could order it from Amazon.
[Kramer bursts through the door]
Kramer: You’re not ordering anything from Amazon!
George: Kramer, I have to. If I don’t get a homemade looking
mask in the next 48 hours I’ll lose all credibility with a
beautiful woman.
Kramer: Listen to yourself! You’re a tool, George. A perfectly
functioning cog in the machine.
George: Is it so bad to be a cog, Kramer?
Jerry: A cog Kramer?
George: Is it? What’s so bad about it? All my life I’ve been
trying to fit in. What if I am a cog? At least I’m doing
something.
Kramer [leans into George]: You’re lining the pockets of the
wealthiest man on Earth. You’re taking money from the struggling
mom and pop mask shops right here in this neighborhood. You’re
denying basic dignity and workplace rights to his employees, all
for the sake of your precious convenience, George.
George: Well when you put it like that it sounds terrible.
Kramer: How else can it be [makes popping sound] put?
George: I don’t know. Lots of ways... Alright. Fine. I’ll try to
find a mask at one of the shops around here.
SCENE 14
EXTERNAL CENTRAL PARK BASEBALL DIAMONDS - DAY
LITTLE LEAGUE GAME. EVERYONE MASKED. PUTTY TALKING TO DADS AND COACH.
Putty: I’m surprised you’re playing during the pandemic.
Coach: We didn’t want to, but some woman threatened to sue the
league if we didn’t. Oh sh#t! Here she comes!
[Karen approaches, nose exposed]
Karen [to Putty]: Excuse me, what are you doing?
Putty: Excuse me, I’m talking to these folks about picking
teams.
Karen: What about it?
Putty: It’s not fair.
Karen: You’re just mad because Karl Marx was always the last one
picked!
Putty: Where’d you hear that?
Karen: From some stupid internet video.
Putty: That video was so not stupid!
[Karen and Putty proceed to get into a heated debate]
SCENE 15
EXT. CENTRAL PARK WALKING PATH - DAY JERRY AND GEORGE MEET UP IN THE PARK. GEORGE IS WEARING A ROLLING STONES FACEMASK EMBLAZONED WITH LIPS AND TONGUE LOGO. HE LOOKS RIDICULOUS. JERRY IS WEARING A DISPOSABLE SURGICAL MASK. Jerry and George meet up in the park. George is wearing a Rolling Stones facemask emblazoned with lips and tongue. He looks ridiculous. Jerry has a disposable surgical mask.] Jerry [motioning to the facemask]: What the hell is that?
George [muffled]: It was the last mask they had.
Jerry: What?
George [pulling mask down]: It was the last one they had!
Jerry [laughing]: You look ridiculous!
[Karen walks up, slightly disheveled]
Jerry: Hey, what happened to you?
Karen: I owned a lib. [Jerry looks confused]
Jerry: I missed you yesterday at the protest. Where were you?
Karen: I was there. Where were you?
Jerry: I was on the north side of city hall.
Karen: Oh, I was on the west side of city hall.
Jerry: The west side? But that was where the Trump rally...
[Marlene walks up with her dog]
George: Hi! This is Jerry.
Jerry: Hi. This is Karen.
[after an odd moment everybody nods rather than shaking hands]
Jerry [to Marlene]: What’s your dog’s name?
Marlene: This is Charlie! He’s a good boy.
[Charlie wanders away from the group]
Karen [to Jerry]: So wait, you were with the protesters?
Jerry: And when you said you were going to the protest, that
meant that you were going to the COUNTER protest?!
[Both Karen and Jerry shudder]
George: Um, your dog is looking for a place to do his business.
Did you bring a bag or something?
Marlene: Oh no, I never bring a bag anymore. When I was
suffering from covid the smell made me nauseous.
Karen [watching the dog, her face dawning with recognition]: I
know that dog! You! It’s you! It was you all along. And I have
the proof! [She looks around the park desperately, and runs down
a park ranger] Excuse me, sir! I’d like to speak to the manager
of the park!
CREDITS ROLL
SCENE 16 - FINAL (CREDITS ROLLING)
INT. JERRY’S APARTMENT - DAY
JERRY AND KRAMER ARE SEATED ON JERRY’S COUCH. GEORGE AND ELAINE APPEAR ON THE LAPTOP SCREEN VIA ZOOM CALL
Elaine: So what happened?
Jerry: Well, when the police showed up, Karen was screaming
about the dog turds, just going out of her mind. Turns out she
fits the description of someone who assaulted a guy over by the
baseball diamonds a half an hour earlier. So they hauled her
away.
Elaine: GET OUT! That was Putty over by the baseball diamonds!
He said some crazy Karen attacked him. He had to get six
stitches. So he bought a gun, drank a six pack, and explained to
me why Jordan Peterson thinks I should clean my room for two
hours.
George: Karen assaulted Putty?! Over what?
Elaine: He said he was going over there to protest team picking.
Jerry: Team picking?
[Jerry and Elaine stare at Kramer]
Kramer [looks uncomfortable]: It’s inherently unfair. It’s why
Karl Marx hated baseball.

SnK Chapter 130 Poll Results

SnK Chapter 130 Poll Results
The chapter poll closed with 1775 responses. This month’s poll results were brought to you by u/staraves, Crunchwrap, Luna, Momtaku and Giovata! Thank you to everyone for your support!
RATE THE CHAPTER
Maybe it was finally getting Eren’s POV, or maybe it was finally seeing the rumbling in nine glorious double page spreads. Either way “Dawn for Humanity” was very well received with close to 70% giving it the highest possible rating, making this the most acclaimed chapter since 123
https://preview.redd.it/7yqu7hwcdnc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=7658c3e7bd773e4e2b46b9fab11a3f12f088fa0e
  • Good to see some Eren and Historia (finally!!) but the lack of answers is really hurting my heart, cmon yama!!
  • Tease me more, daddy Isayama
  • Epic chapter, amazing artwork. And astonishingly, with 5-6-7 chapters left i still don't know where this is going.
  • Definitely in my top ten best chapters. The ending was gloriously horrifying to read. I feel like this chapter wasn’t that great. It kind of gave way to more speculation without giving many concrete answers. The things that it DID answer felt like stating the obvious.
  • This chapter most likely is the best i've ever seen. So many answers and sooo many questions left behind.
  • Death is on its way, ladies and gents. Also the end is almost here. What the fuck is going on? I just want some answers about E V E R Y T H I N G (especially about Eren's psyche).
WHICH OF THE FOLLOWING WAS YOUR FAVORITE MOMENT?

https://preview.redd.it/rpcgvrjfdnc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=a3e49b9976055a29b42835c52241724aa37d2cc7
  • Fuck yes! Erens back!
  • Our Queen has finally returned!
  • Honestly I’m just happy to see her again, becuase she’s my favorite character, and even if the flashback gives more questions than answers.
  • loved zeke-eren bro talk
  • everyone who thought that Floch was lying in charter 125 are 🤡🤡🤡
  • reiner tiddies
WHO WAS THIS CHAPTER'S MVP?

https://preview.redd.it/354368rngnc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=f601ac6e6ae561432697fa7c3fcdea0eb9928dbc
“The colossal synchronized swim team” made an impressive showing (28.5%) but their majestic moves across the ocean were not enough to topple Eren (53.6%) for chapter MVP. Historia (8.1%), Zeke (5%), and Annie (3.5%) also received some love.
  • EREN IS THE GOAT
  • Eren is the worst boy in the world.
  • EREN JAEGER GENOCIDAL MANIAC
  • I really missed Historia, so it was nice to see her.
  • can the rumbling start a synchronized aquatic dance?
WHAT DOES THE CHAPTER TITLE "DAWN FOR HUMANITY" REFER TO?
  • I thought of it as some sort of "End of the world" titling.
  • Dunno; but it doesn't really work if the rest of the world gets rumbled, does it?
  • Eren wants to kill “animals” to give a new life to “humanity”
  • A dawn, or a beginning of a new day, has arrived. Whether this new day is a good or a bad one for humanity, we do not yet know.
  • Dawn for Eldians to be exact. Dusk for Marleyans.
  • It could refer to a ""dawn"" for the alliance, who intend for neither side of the conflict to be eradicated, as they believe everyone is part of ""humanity"". Despite their deliberation at the beginning of the chapter, the fact that they're finally setting sail to stop Eren is testament that they've not lost their hope in the pursuit of this ideal
  • Eldians in Paradis Island being free from the wrath of outsiders and being avenged
  • The Rumbling & Historia's child, humanity's destruction and its rebirth
  • Continuation of "End's Eve" as this is the dawn of the day where humanity fights for its continued existence
  • Dawn of the final day - 24 hours remain
WHAT ARE THE FUTURE IMPLICATIONS OF ANNIE DECIDING SHE'S TIRED OF FIGHTING AND NO LONGER WANTS TO STOP EREN?

https://preview.redd.it/bcyxehsbenc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=cdef5da7bd9f87897db58abf83be91f96dd87542
  • Annie saying she didn't want to have to be prepared to fight mikasa, Connie, armin, jean, Reiner and eren again made me feel sad for her ;-;
  • I just wanna say that it wouldn't make any sense for Isayana to bring Annie back and then write her out so it's obvious she will continue in the alliance lol (but I don't really agree with any of the options offered, I think she will decide by herself to stay)
  • As one of the nine shifters, she kinda has the responsibility to fight, even if she doesn't want to, and I get completely why she doesn't want to, poor thing. I have a sneaky suspicion that she might choose Porco's way out and we might yet see a new holder of the Female Titan power. :(
WHAT WILL BE THE FATES OF THE ELDIANS IN LIBERIO, SPECIFICALLY THE WARRIORS' FAMILIES
  • They are going to die, but I can see Annie meeting her father and die together in each others arm by the rumbling. It's sad I know, but it would be a fitting end for both of them :(
  • Either they overcame the Marleyan authorities that tried to surpress, or The Rumbling avoided Liberio entirely. I just doubt they would kill off Mr. Leonhardt offscreen.
  • They took a ship to the south and we will meet them including Reiner's family and Mr. Leonhart.
  • Am I supposed to feel sorry for these people? I don't. The Warriors don't deserve happy endings for everything they have done.
  • I want to have hope ;-;
  • They're currently fineish because Eren didn't go where Hange was expecting, hence why all their estimations have been off
  • I just want Annie to see her father again, and for Reiner to get what he wants.
  • What if the city Eren attacked isn't Liberio? I feel like it's too important to be flattened just like that (thematical resonance + too many side-characters like Eren's own grandfather are there) and we're being misled about the place Eren is attacking.
DO YOU BELIEVE EREN IS THE FATHER?

https://preview.redd.it/kmyeyqawenc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=59fcdc88afe78f8e7c26c822a4d8923459d7f17c
  • i will bet on my freedom that eren is the father
  • Historia x Eren ftw!
  • Eren being the father would be the most meaningful for both the story, as well as for Eren and Historia and their chemistry together if you ask me, though I can accept otherwise.
  • I have not any positive thoughts about Eren-Historia's flashback. Just pain, I feel pain for her. I don't get the point to destroy her character like that.
  • I really hope Eren isn’t the father — it just doesn’t seem right.
  • I don't believe Eren is the father since it will contradict what he said to Zeke: "I'm only left with 4 years"
  • Sorry shippers, I don't think we'll ever get a straight answer about who's the father. But I kinda prefer it that way, because then we'll each get to decide what we thinks is correct.
HOW HAVE YOUR FEELINGS ON THIS CHANGED DUE TO THIS CHAPTER?

https://preview.redd.it/2ydejct6fnc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=1278d19e1bd4a74300a766649d1dc761e024b287
  • If Eren is the father, I think it's possible Historia wanted his baby to keep a part of him with her after the rumbling is over, or perhaps it was an attempt to make him want to come back when he's done or even not commit genocide.
  • why does everyone keep saying Eren is the Father confirmed? There is literally no evidence to support that, and it actually contradicts Erens statement when Zeke discusses Mikasas feelings towards him.
  • I want confirmation on the father cause if it's not eren ima be pissed off
  • I can't stand the mystery surrounding Historia's pregnancy anymore, this is worse than serum bowl.
THAT Ymir.
  • Historia is playing 5d chess I just know it. I just don't know how yet
  • Why'd Historia act like that if Eren wasn't the father?
  • Eren has to be the father for the good dev of eren & historia characters
  • I really hope the pregnancy thing is just a red herring, but it wouldn't be the first-time Isayama appealed to fan-service if not.
  • If I see more speculation on whether Eren is the father I'm gonna puke. I mean how about focus on the real story? Like how the world is about to be destroyed??
  • We need more Historia. We literally need her POV for the story to make sense right now. I can't believe that with ""5% of the plot"" left Isayama is *still* pulling this all this time? There *has* to be more.
  • I always knew Mikasa was the father
WHY DO YOU THINK HISTORIA IS PROPOSING A PREGNANCY?

https://preview.redd.it/ak3ykpbifnc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=201df1b21fa8f20ad5d2ecf00140844e8aa32194
  • What the hell is the pregnancy for? It doesnt make any sense for Historia to suggest that all of a sudden
  • What if the "what if I have a child" scene with Historia actually happened EARLIER than the rest of the conversation? It would explain why they switched places, and if Eren really is the father, would explain why he feels he has such a say in Historia's child's future ("even if you agree, I don't" ) , and why when he spoke about the MPs he said "WE have two options: fight or run". It would also give him a motivation to oppose his friends, since they are trying to stop him.
  • I don't see his conversation with Historia in romantic light. She was scared of him and Eren was trying to manipulate her with her own words about being ""the worst girl on the world"". We still miss some important parts of their conversation, but if she agreed to help him because he reminded her how ""the worst girl"" she was, then I would be very disappointed. I saw her as strong woman and I hope she will not turn to be a mild sheep who isn't brave enough to follow Ymir's wish and ""live her life with pride""
  • I have no idea for which purpose Historia want to become pregnant, but I'm glad that I was right that she decide it for herself and doesn't get forced at all!
  • Historia has a trick up her sleeve and I can't wait to see what it is.
WE LEARNED WHAT ZEKE REALLY TOLD EREN ABOUT THE ACKERBOND. ARE YOU SATISFIED WITH EVERYTHING WE HAVE LEARNED ABOUT THE ACKERMAN CLAN?

https://preview.redd.it/u1fkcxrlfnc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=a4dd6c401a028ff74d900eeba04b895d32511b92
75% of the fandom wants more resolution to the Ackermysteries with 38.4% wanting MOAR and 32.3% wanting at least a little more. Only 22.3% are satisfied with the ackercrumbs we’ve been tossed and 7% have no opinion.
  • love guru zook
  • ackerman bond means LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!! sweet for all ackerman related shippers
  • I'm satisfied to see yet another example of people trying to pin eren's BS onto zeke (with the ackerman theories) be proven completely wrong
  • Mikasa's charachter wouldve been a lot more interesting if her ackerman genes had an effect on her decision making and her trying to overcome them would be a lot more intriguing to see. Instead it turned out to be some lovey dovey pancake bullshit. I mean what would Zeke even know about Mikasa??
  • I think the fact that the Ackermans can access the Paths without being shifters is going to be super relevant. My pet theory is that Mikasa will be able to cross into the Paths dimension to kill Eren and truly free Ymir Fritz, but let's see how that goes.
HOW ACCURATE WAS ZEKE'S ASSESSMENT OF MIKASA'S FEELINGS TOWARD EREN?

https://preview.redd.it/6qn65xeofnc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=7b336dae5a3654ad631a4178a08ff9b29f36f530
  • Eren, when your sadistic and bloodthirsty big bro can see how much Mikasa loves you, you probably should take it seriously lol
  • usually when panels sway to the right, they are true, so I believe this is the case.
  • Did anybody honestly not already know this? We learned nothing new from this as far as I'm concerned.
  • Mikasa really cares for Eren but the Ackerman genes amplify her love for him.
  • Everybody's emotional attachments have some basis in biology. It doesn't make them any less real or meaningful
  • The ackerman blood does boost her physical abilities but i believe it doesn't affect her mentally (she probably has ptsd and seperation anxiety)
  • What is between Eren and Mikasa? There is something we still Dont know.I wish for more Mikasa....
  • As much as Mikasa being ready to snap titans necks in two for Eren is due to her love for him, Eren being willing to go through with a world genocide to prevent Historia's sacrifice definitely results from his love for her.
  • Loved the interwoven flashbacks, and made sense considering a lot of the "unknown" conversations(Eren with Yelena, Floch, Historia....) all tie into each other.
  • E-H convo should've been shown months ago; now is not the time for flashbacks.
  • I don't mind it, but i feel Isayama was, to a certain degree, struggling to work all of this information organically into the story, so he was forced to choose this flashback method to get it out there.
  • The juxtaposition is very purposeful, while I don’t necessarily like what it implies, it is indeed impactful.
  • People might say this is Isayama being mysterious and showing us everything but revealing nothing as he always does, and yeah and if this was 10 chapters ago I might see that as a positive, but this late into the series it feels like it was just a waste of a chapter.
  • They were good because they connected with each-other; though I had to reread the chapter several times to distinguish who was talking because it flipped so much.
  • These kinds of chapters are slightly annoying in the moment, but are more than worth it in the long run.
WHAT IS THE MEANING BEHIND EREN IMPLYING HE "WANTED THIS", REGARDING THE FUTURE OF THE RUMBLING?

https://preview.redd.it/njyua5frfnc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=8cbde88f97a99f9ac9b23ef56a51e561510d4c91
  • Eren said from the start he would, "destroy them all." He hated being a slave. I think he *does want this. He wants whatever will guarantee freedom.
  • Both future can't be changed AND Eren is a fucking lunatic
  • Even if the future could be changed Eren preferred the full rumbling
  • He literally had no option from the very beginning , his actions is definitely justified .
  • it's probably all the attack titan's will, not his.
  • I've given up trying to understand Eren's logic. It's just too bizarre. I will wait until the story is finished to form any opinion about him.
  • Eren was bored in his original universe and wanted humanity to have a threat so he made the aot universe via Ymir and became that threat himself.
  • he doesn’t want to admit he’s surrendered to his destiny. So Isayama’s going to come back to this by having Eren admit to himself he isn’t really free/this isn't what he wants, which will be the culmination of his character arc (what will he do then?…).
  • Eren kinda forgot about the mothers
  • I don't know and I don't like it. Hope it isn't another pathsfuckery while all I want in life is KRUEGER'S POV.
  • Eren's path shit also implies the story has always been bending to that moment too. From the pigs, to even Dina from that Bert shard. If it's ever revealed he orchestrated Carla's death to stimulate Grisha and Eren's hatred, the whole demonisation of RBA gets turned on his head.
  • I don't like the idea that Eren controlled the Smiling Titan but it's starting to feel more and more likely...
  • I hope the explanation isn't some magical PATHS stuff where he orchestrated characters (like Dina's) actions or is suddenly an all-seeing almighty being. Grisha was enough pls.
  • DUDE, THIS MEANS THAT BIRD HAS P A T H S!
  • FT/Ymir lets Eren see the memories of all Eldians. It will come up again. I don't get some of the angles/perspectives though.
  • It's possible some of these things haven't happened yet, or that Eren has access to the memories of more shifters somehow. For example, Berthold might be a memory Annie or Reiner have and Eren will receive if he eats one of them while they try to stop him.
  • I have absolutely no idea what the deal is with the Falco and Bertolt memories but I'm sure they're not inconsistency errors considering the care that went into showing that the Mikasa/Grisha/Levi etc. panels are clearly from Eren's POV.
  • Excited to see from where Hange without glasses memories from
  • Eren is the air, the trees, the birbs, everything
  • Marcel is more like to come back from the dead before I ever understand half the shit inside Eren’s head.
THIS CHAPTER SHOWED US ANOTHER MEMORY OF FEZ-KUN, FINDING HIMSELF IN TROUBLE AGAIN. WHAT DO YOU THINK IS THE MEANING BEHIND HIS HIDDEN STORY?

https://preview.redd.it/ccztc0cufnc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=20157525404e9fac69560d98960b8981c1ddc0ca
  • Eren believes that suffering and oppression of minorities will never end just by small acts of kindness and simular "passive" acts, like what Levi did, it does not provide a long term solution or prevent Fez-kun'sfrom furder torments, which is why Eren feels like the extreme solution of the rumbling is his only option
  • Eren gave a mission to Fez-kun
  • Eren using another kid to get his way without caring about his life. What else is new.
  • He's the "even someone on the street" part of Kruger's advice to love someone to break the cycle of tragedy.
  • I think he found himself in trouble again (looks to be bruised on the cheek in 120) and Eren will come to his rescue. However I think Eren will not just save him by beating up or killing the Marleyans, but inspiring the Fez kid to take action and "fight" just like he did with Mikasa. This arc has had a lot of focus on the almost inhumane level of violence Eren showed as a kid when killing those kidnappers, so I can see that being for the purpose of a direct parallel
  • I think Eren saved Fez-kun of those guys, but then he will kill him later, showing his own hypocrisy (those guys can't do bad to a child but I can).
  • I expect his shard(s) to contrast the other previously unknown panel from 120: Historia’s shard was revealed to be yet another instance of Eren manipulating a friend by putting his desires above her own, thus robbing her of her free-will. I hope that Fez-kun symbolizes the "beauty in a cruel world"
  • It show that Eren just have an other plan and not just kill everyone for no reason???? Lest not be that blind :) what esle u want to understund thats an option too? you want isayama to told u?
  • Eren will save their family and he told Fez to lead his family to a certain location that the rumbling won't reach?
  • What are all these crappy options? He represents Eren’s journey to changing his viewpoint about everyone being an enemy, as he told Reiner.
SWIMMING TITANS?

https://preview.redd.it/k61jo7yvfnc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=48481927bcd6f797e788fd25c265dbce9a1004e1
88% of you welcome your Swimming Titan overlords, but 12% aren’t so convinced - there’s a pretty even chance it’s because the image is just too absurd, too terrifying, or a pants-wetting combination of both.
  • The panel of the titan swimming underneath that ship haunts me in my dreams.
  • HELL YEAH FUCKING SWIMMING TITANS
WHEN THE MILITARY SIGHTS ERENSAURUS AT THE END, RATHER THAN CALLING IT THE FOUNDING TITAN OR EREN JAEGER, THEY RECOGNISE IT AS THE ATTACK TITAN. WHY?

https://preview.redd.it/e3kzzhxxfnc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=9c6a77e82adc7e3c079cca49b7b285920ce67f8c
  • I think the Maryleans/World Forces knew it was the Attack Titan bc of the Eldians in Marley (like Annie's dad) warning them ahead of time. I think once they realized The Rumbling was happening, they asked for more deets from the folks who heard Eren's message in the Path's Realm.
  • I wonder why the rest of the world was only using Mikasa ships instead of various ships lol
  • IT CAN'T BE STOPPED ANYMORE
NOW THAT WE FINALLY GOT TO SEE EREN'S SPINE-CHILLING (BADUM-TSS) FORM, WHAT DID YOU THINK?

https://preview.redd.it/5n9r2j6zfnc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=be03cf8b4e408b0b03b2cd884af89c9b16f5c8d3
  • My jaw dropped when I saw Eren’s titan form. Horrific.
  • I love Erensaurus a lot. This chapter gave the same level of anxiety that Zeke's attack in Shiganshina gave me. Good
  • YEAH EREN IS SCARY AS FUCK I LOVE IT MORE FREEDOM MORE FREEDOM MORE FREEDOM
  • Eren's titan looks a little like the earth devil
  • Really interested in where it is going especially because Eren's Titan got lips which could be an indicator for it to have the ability to speak
  • I'm not saying anything about Eren's titan. What even the actual fuck, Yams
  • Eren's upper skeleton body thing looks like wings of freedom...
  • The reason Eren's body was like this, if he was muscular, he would radiate a lot of heat, so the Allience's couldn't reach him. But now, no muscle, no heat. They can reach easily.
  • When a shifter generates a titan body, they need to have a special task or purpose in mind. Is Eren's titan meant to be a bridge between Paradis Island and the continent?
  • He is a slave to the future memories and instead of trying to find a different way, he is convincing himself that this is what he wants from the start to compensate for how little freedom he has.
  • He's trying to justify to himself that he isn't a slave
  • Eren is a slave to that sweet sweet feeling of self-righteous rage.
  • Ymir might be acting through Eren.
  • I think eren has become a vessel for ymir and it's ymirs will that we're hearing.
WHERE IS EREN'S HUMAN BODY MOST LIKELY RESIDING?

https://preview.redd.it/60fnxcr7gnc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=e8a2424071d6b2c7190e557efae9c0d98197c722
  • So, does Eren now only have his head left or was he fully healed thanks to Ymir?
  • where is Eren (No,not his titan)? There is no nape on that thing, just bone
  • I NEED TO KNOW HOW EREN IS TRANSPORTING HIMSELF
  • ALL OF THE ABOVE
  • I hate eren do the same thing as what he had been through
  • It's Eren's tendency to lose himself to the desire for vengeance, which in the mange is always depicted as leading to a catastrophe in the end.
  • His childhood trauma comes back to him when he sees a loved one die / about to die and feels the powerlessness of having been unable to do anything because of being weak.
  • It's a parallel showing his determination to fight back against those who would deny he and his comrades their freedom.
  • The thoughts are child Eren, simply overlapping with the current situation. It may not be adult Eren’s thoughts.
  • I just want to say that the history is repeating its self . What we thought it was the past it's actually the future
  • AngeRage was always the main drive that he used to keep fighting/seeking for freedom
  • I like the idea that this is showing deep down he is driven by his childlike rage, and as much as he tries to convince himself it's for his friends, he really just wants to revel in violence because he's broken and he thinks wiping everyone out is the only way he will be at peace.
THIS CHAPTER ALSO PRESENTED US WITH TWO ALMOST DICHOTOMIC MOTIVATIONS FOR EREN, BETWEEN LOVE FOR HIS FRIENDS AND HATE FOR THE ENEMY, BUT WHICH DO YOU BELIEVE IS THE STRONGER DRIVING FORCE?

https://preview.redd.it/uhq8o7d9gnc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=8d6fb41882ce0cdebee802af050a680011b4ad55
  • I feel like I finally fully understand Eren's mindset, even though there is probably still more to his POV. He just wants his friends to be happy and live long lives, so he had to push them away especially after Sasha's death.
  • Eren's memory chain went from remembering his friends smiling, to Sasha's death and Fez-kun being beat up, and eventually to his mother's death and his vow to kill all titans, showing that deep down he knows his motivation to protect his friends is bullshit and that his "enemies" are mostly innocents, but he keeps moving forward due to hatred and revenge.
  • Eren has never healed his trauma. It was "eating" him slowly and turned him into this he hated the most - a devilish monster.
  • if Eren ends killing the friends he wanted to protect, he will be a complete disappointment. I really am afraid of SnK's ending.
  • "I want my friends to live long happy lives" he says after treating them like shit, breaking their spirit, and partially ruining their home island with millions of titans. I hope he doesn't act surprised when they show up to stop him (assuming they can catch up of course).
  • I don't believe the word "animals" align with Eren's current perspective, nor how he sees his "enemies". [..] He just believes this radical action is the only necessary way to end an unstoppable inter-generational conflict in his lifetime so these problems aren't handed down to future generations anymore.
  • he's being driven both by hatred and love, but right now his rage is winning and he's using the safety of his friends and Eldia as an excuse to appease his conscience.
ON A SCALE FROM "SECRET PLAN" TO "KILL 'EM ALL", WHERE DO YOU STAND ON EREN'S TRUE INTENTIONS?

https://preview.redd.it/gr6adg3bgnc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=a2aa488b577843ddf887426401c0ff1dfe921131
This chapter all but confirmed that Eren indeed plans to wipe out the entire outside world for most of the fandom. The majority are skewed towards the opinion of Eren definitely rumbling everything, with less and less respondents holding onto hope that Eren has an alternate plan.
  • I thought eren had a secret plan for the rumbling but after getting his pov this chapter looks like he really is going for it
  • Somehow, I can't shake off the feeling that we still haven't seen 100% of Eren's plan, there is still some twist waiting. I am not trying to justify Eren's current actions, it's more like ""if there is something that will throw this whole scenario upside down it better come up soon, because right now IT DOESN'T LOOK GOOD"".
  • I think that this chapter confirms two things: one, the Rumbling is Eren's true plan [...] BUT two, there is "something beyond that hell", which is the "scenery" Eren says he saw in ch. 121. I think it's the endgame after the Rumbling is stopped (no way is it going to be completed), and it's what caused both Grisha and Historia to go along with his plan in the end even though they didn't agree with it and thought it was awful. Eren's "everything is still ahead" and the weird cut in Historia's flashback are too... strange and seem to point to this being a game changer and the final plot point of the series.
  • If the rumble will succeed, then I've spent 7 chapters seeing characters do nothing to accomplish nothing. I don't wanna feel my time wasted.
  • This hateful world is needed to be purged and I support Eren for this. And when Rumbling is over that beast piece of sh** must die by Levi's hand.
WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THE REPEATED BIRD IMAGERY?

https://preview.redd.it/5qvzcgodgnc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=476cc0add064b451091d57737e82cb81655451d5
  • The two birds from the Paths panels appear in episode 1 of the anime iirc, not sure about the manga though.
  • Eren is bird confirmed thank <°^°>
  • I like the Bird Theory that says he’s transferring his consciousness to a bird. yeah it sounds a bit odd but it’s interesting and I’m willing to accept anything at this point
  • The birds are secret surveillance cameras
  • Eren is the Eagle we see in the chapter 91 that Falco says to fly away lmao
  • Isayama's improvement as an artist it's inspirational.
  • Those Rumbling pages are so gorgeous they make me wanna say "Kill them all, Eren ! Destroy the fucking world !"
  • All of those double-page spreads were pretty fantastic but I have to say there's nothing quite like the chill that runs down your spine when you see all those colossals emerging from the smoke and the mist, where you see for the first time how huge and terrible they are (and also when you realise the first line of defense is already down). I had legit goosebumps.
  • Mappa has their work cut out for themselves
CHAPTER 130 MARKS THE END OF A VOLUME, WHICH HAS BEEN FILLED WITH ALLIANCE-FOCUSED CHAPTERS. WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS NOW THAT WE'VE FINALLY RETURNED TO EREN?

https://preview.redd.it/2gtwbrhfgnc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=f03c15ee21bd96de6c7c619d674af2ce3974392f
  • i wanted more on the alliance, not flashbacks smh
  • it was something enjoyable after a while. Especially 126 made me grimace all over the volume till 130 came up. Not saying I was waiting for Eren but it was so cheesy.
  • Eren chapters are written worse than Alliance ones
  • This chapter single handedly made up for the below average, cringe-inducing chapters 126-129 Alliance bullshit. I have faith Isayama will create a very satisfying ending for this series now.
  • This chapter was legit a great way to end the volume off, it truly feels like its really the beginning of the end
DESCRIBE THIS CHAPTER IN ONE WORD
The top 5 write-ins are below, followed by the average chapter score for each description. This months’ average chapter score was 4.59.
  1. Amazing [4.89]
  2. Epic [4.84]
  3. Eren/Ereh [4.69]
  4. Rumbling [4.46]
  5. Confusing [3.88]
Honorable mention: Ragnarok
We’d also like to mention that there were a lot of write-ins related to genitals and coitus… seems like y’all were really hyped up by that first fanlation >.>
WHAT ARE YOU MOST HOPING TO SEE NEXT CHAPTER?

https://preview.redd.it/t8gqprjhgnc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=d388f3bfcc747e7da4caa154a2ca8b04f65715e1
Stay tuned!
  • Where the fuck is Zeke
  • WHERE. IS. LEVI.
  • i want more eren, historia and zeke. They're interesting. I don't care about the alliance.
  • "Zekey-dekey-doo, where are you?" ...I'm so done with you guys.
  • I expect in the next chapter something more around the alliance and maybe (hopefully) Floch's comeback!
  • Enough of Hisu, she is just a side character.
  • Want more Rumbling
  • All I can say is, I'm beyond anxious to see how the series ends, and it's eating me up inside.

Using the +120 odds, it shows us that a $100 bet on that outcome would pay out $120 in profits. Again this can easily be converted into smaller or larger size bets. A $10 bet on +120 odds would pay out $12 in profits. Examples: Below is an example of NFL betting odds taken from an online betting site. Instantly convert betting odds in any format. These odds are based on winning $100 for a given bet. Betting a Favorite: The odds for favorites will have a minus (-) sign, and represent the money you need to risk to win $100. So if you're betting on the Packers at -140 against the Vikings, that means Green Bay is a slight favorite. In this example, on a $1.00 bet on Chicago you would get back a total of $5.00 and on a $2.00 bet on the colts, you’d realize $3.00. As you can see, regardless of the format of the betting lines, the payout is the same. Odds are Skewed. Betting odds can be given in various ways. The important thing to understand is they’re not “real.” If you want to bet on Golovkin to win the fight (8/13 odds), calculate your winnings by multiplying your wager by the quotient of 8 ÷ 13 (0.615). If you bet $10, your winnings would be $6.15 (10 x 0.615). In this case, you’ll receive $16.15 back ($10 bet + $6.15 in winnings). Here’s the formula:
