Dropshipping Business: Building A Profitable Foundation

3 Things You Need To Get Right When Starting Your Own Dropshipping Business.
After consulting with over 1000 newbies who has or wants to get their feet wet in the dropshipping business.
During my consultation with them, I noticed a few mistakes, which has caused some of them their hard earned money, because they kissed a shark.
They got it wrong from the start.
So, in this post, I am going to share with you a quick run through of the 3 basic things you need to get right when getting started with your dropshipping business.
If you can take these few things to mind when starting your dropshipping business or when you are still testing things out, I guarantee that you won't find it hard to start making some money.
Now, with no further ado, let's jump into these three basic things.
  1. Brand It Or Don't: Your Dropshipping Business.
One of the first mistake new entrants into the dropshipping business make is that they think they just need to set the store up, come up with one funny name and spend shamelessly on ads to make sale.
If you are one of them boiz? Stop it.
Amazon wouldn't be the go to store and these popular if their brand/domain name is www.ama-zonsle.com
Your brand name is your domain.
Make it
  1. Classy
  2. Short is better
  3. Get rid of those hiphen.
  4. It doesn't always have to speak literally about what you sell. Abstract is good.
  5. And please, use American English.
When you get your business name right, one of your many obstacles to making consistent sale is eliminated.
If you're stuck with finding a business name for your brand, this website below is a good place to get started.
https://businessnamegenerator.com
P.S Having a simple easy to remember name makes it easier to get return customers.
And a seasoned dropshippper will tell you that return customers is money 💰
  1. My Guru Says. The Advertising Technique.
A lot of people has shot their business in the foot while starting their first dropshipping business because they took advice of their so called guru on advertisement.
"Budget 10 to 20 dollars per day."
"Know your target audience"
So, you did it.
And in 10 days you have consumed $100. No sale, Low Traffic.
I have some news for you. If you use Facebook targeting options, you will loose!
Apparently, it seems Facebook is raising money for the upcoming USA election. 🤣😂
You can hardly get 10,000 impression for $50.
Yet, I have gotten about 16k impression with just $2.
Trust me, it's all about understanding Facebook health conditions.
Right now, when you use Facebook target audience options, they will gladly charge you more and restricts your reach.
Here is what you need to do. Instead.
Do not add any demographic or Target audience.
Do zero targeting and let Facebook commit the sins themselves... I bet your reach will sky rocket.
And did I say that a $2 budget per day is enough?
Of course you can move to $5 per day is when you want to scale.
I am stingy right?
Yes. I know.
At least, with a reduced ad budget spread over time, this will give me more time to study my audience reactions and know what they want.
Plus, I won't close shop in 2 weeks by blowing my whole budget.
Thank me later.
By the way, you welcome.
  1. List Building Over Ads Please.
A lot of you have consumed so many fake contents by so called fake gurus on making your first sale.
Run your ads. You will get a sales.
Sorry to burst your bubbles.
List Building with organic content strategy is way more important than the point and kill ads.
Whatever niche you choose, it is advisable you first grow your list with contents and giveaways and make them a raving fans before you start selling.
Don't be greedy to make your first sale.
If you build solid following first, you can make so much money in a week of your product launch than when you start out with ads.
Even if you want to run any ads, gear it towards building a following, rather than running after sales.
In a nutshell, whenever you are ready to kickstart your journey into a profitable dropshipping business, follow these instructions above and use it as your foundation.

PUT ME IN [as] COACH: the Top Coaching Candidates on the Market

Right now, there are 3 open head coaching jobs (Brooklyn, Chicago, New Orleans), and there could be more to come following the playoffs
Here are my personal picks for the most qualified candidates.
Top "Re-tread" Candidates
(1) Kenny Atkinson, formerly Brooklyn
Kenny Atkinson checks all the boxes of what I'd look for in a modern NBA head coach. He developed under a successful mentor (Mike Budenholzer in Milwaukee), and came to Brooklyn looking to install a "pace and space" offense. Better still, he helped develop players across the roster. He entered a nearly impossible situation with the Nets, but slowly and surely built a winning culture and helped the team overachieve expectations.
Clearly, Atkinson didn't fit the vision of the new power brokers in Brooklyn -- Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving -- and got left on the side of the road as a result. Still, if KD and Kyrie end up reaching the promised land and winning a title in Brooklyn, Atkinson deserves a lot of credit for helping get that engine started in the first place. He'd be a great hire for any team looking to jumpstart their own franchise.
best fit: Chicago. Atkinson would join a team with a good amount of offensive talent, but not much offensive cohesion so far. The Bulls finished 27th in offensive rating this season.
(2) Ty Lue, formerly Cleveland
Ty Lue tends to be a punchline among a lot of casual NBA fans who think he was nothing more than LeBron James' caddy in Cleveland. To me, that belittles his resume and shows a little bias against former players. A Doc Rivers' protege, Ty Lue was a legitimate coaching candidate before LeBron James. In fact, the Cleveland Cavaliers made him the highest paid assistant in the entire league prior to the King's return to town. Lue also did a solid job in the playoffs to help the Cavs win that title.
After that? It didn't go well. The wheels fell off on defense (allegedly Lue's specialty) during James' last two seasons there, and the entire car imploded after he left. It looked like Lue may have been completely burnt out emotionally and physically. Still, since then, Lue has started to rehab his coaching reputation by returning to Doc Rivers and the Clippers, where he's helped the team go from the 21st best defense to top 5 (to be fair, some new roster additions may have helped.)
best fit: Brooklyn. Lue has also been a rumored candidate in New Orleans to coach under old boss David Griffin, but he appears to be a better fit for Brooklyn's veteran roster than New Orleans'.
(3) Stan Van Gundy, formerly Detroit
It's not easy for older coaches to keep up with the modern NBA, both in terms of player connections and in terms of new-age offenses and analytics. Some -- like Gregg Popovich or Rick Carlisle -- manage to adapt and evolve; they age as well as Christie Brinkley. Others age like Nikki Cox.
Based on his second job in Detroit, Stan Van Gundy may fit into the latter category. Still, if the Knicks are willing to give Tom Thibodeau the benefit of the doubt after he flamed out in Minnesota, can't we do the same here? SVG's teams in Detroit weren't good (44-38, 37-45, 39-43 the last three years), but they didn't have worlds of talent either. No doubt, Van Gundy is to blame for a lot of that, as his front office decisions didn't go well. However, if we relegate him to a "coaching only" role, then perhaps he'd have success again. I'd take that chance over rolling the dice on his brother Jeff (a more rumored candidate), as Jeff hasn't coached in the NBA since 2007. Based on their TV commentary, Stan is also more up to date with the current trends in the league as well.
best fit: Philadelphia. If the Sixers fire Brett Brown, a veteran coach like Van Gundy isn't a bad option. In Orlando, he managed to build a team around Dwight Howard and maintain spacing.
Other solid candidates: Dave Joerger (SAC), Mike Brown (GS), Jeff Hornacek (NYK)
Candidates I would NOT hire: Jason Kidd (MIL), Mark Jackson (GS), David Fizdale (NYK), George Karl (SAC), Jeff Van Gundy (HOU), Derek Fisher (NYK), Drill Sergeant Jim Boylen (CHI)
Top "Rookie" Candidates
(1) Chris Finch, New Orleans assistant
I'm not claiming to be a coaching guru by any means, but sometimes even amateurs like myself can see obvious great candidates under our noses. I had hyped up Nick Nurse a few years before he got the head job in Toronto, and I've been doing the same for Chris Finch over the last few years.
The similarity is simple: an amazing resume and a proven history of success. Chris Finch started coaching in Great Britain, where he was quickly named their league's Coach of the Year. Later on, he migrated to Belgium, where he guided his team to the league title. He eventually came back to the U.S. and coached in the D-League for Rio Grande. Surprise surprise -- Finch's team won the title and he won Coach of the Year.
Since then, Finch has been a top assistant with Houston, Denver, and now New Orleans. Throughout, he's developed a reputation for running fast-paced offenses, oftentimes facilitated through bigs like Nikola Jokic or Anthony Davis. He's exactly what the NBA is looking for, and it's a surprise that he hasn't been snagged up yet. Among all coaching candidates, he may be my top candidate overall.
best fit: New Orleans. Politically, it may be a little difficult to oust a likable veteran coach and promote his assistant instead, but it worked out quite well in Toronto. The Pelicans may be smart to do the same, as Finch would be familiar with the roster and have a headstart on any revisions.
(2) Ime Udoka, Philadelphia assistant
Unlike Chris Finch, Ime Udoka doesn't have experience as a head coach at lower levels, so we can't point to the resume and feel confident about his chances of success in the same way. Still, as far as pure "rookie" coaches go, he has the pedigree you'd want. He's a former player who became a long-time assistant under Gregg Popovich in San Antonio. He left this past season for Philadelphia in an attempt to spread his wings. While it didn't exactly work out as planned, you have to admire the intent and the ambition.
(Aside from experience), Udoka checks all the boxes that you'd want in a head coaching candidate. He's been rumored for a lot of the open jobs already, so I imagine this will be the year that he finally lands one.
best fit: Brooklyn. Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving (presumably) clashed with Kenny Atkinson, but they may buy in to Udoka. As mentioned, he's a former player, had experience on the respected Spurs staff, and also worked with the two of them in the Team USA circuit. GM Sean Marks also cut his teeth with the Spurs, so you imagine he'd be in lockstep with Udoka as well.
(3) Wes Unseld Jr., Denver assistant
Two rising assistants -- Wes Unseld Jr. and Stephen Silas (DAL) -- have very similar resumes and career paths. Both grew up as the sons of veteran NBA coaches. Both ended up going to top universities -- Johns Hopkins for Unseld Jr. and Brown University for Silas. Both found their way back to basketball, and became top assistant coaches. Both are rumored to be among the top candidates for head coaching jobs now.
Based on resume, you may lean to Stephen Silas more. He's been a lead assistant for a longer period of time, and most recently helped Dallas' offense achieve historic heights. Personally, I'd lean a little more to Unseld Jr. myself. Based on media interviews, he comes across with more charisma and leadership traits.
best fit: Chicago. I always thought Washington would be a karmic fit for Unseld Jr., but Chicago appears to be his best bet right now. Top exec Arturas Karnisovas came over from the Denver organization, and should be familiar with Unseld's virtues.
Other solid candidates: Stephen Silas (DAL), Nate Tibbetts (POR), Nate Bjorkgren (TOR), Darvin Ham (MIL), Jay Larranaga (BOS), Chris Fleming (CHI), Alex Jensen (UTA), Melvin Hunt (ATL), Johnny Bryant (UTA). Adrian Griffin (TOR) would have been on that list, but his wife made some nasty domestic violence accusations against him on twitter; even if we presume that her goal was to lie and ruin his head coaching prospects, then mission: accomplished, because that's a situation that teams may not to dig into.

[Spoilery title warning] The exhaustive proof of when and how Aang unlocks his last chakra. If it's ever confused you, this will fix that.

You may have come here from my first post (which you can find here; it's much shorter), or maybe this post is the first one to show up in your feed. Regardless, thanks for clicking. This could possibly change the way you see the finale.
Oh, and let me tell ya: if you thought my first post - scratch that, essay - was long, it was practically a tl;dr.
This is it: my magnum opus. My biggest, and hopefully best, contribution to the ATLA fandom is contained within the remainder of this post. There will be some repetition in this post of points I laid out in the other post, but it's kept to a minimum and serves to paint the entire picture.
Let's start with a refresher. This is the exact moment I posit Aang masters the Avatar State:
Most of the images like these, in this post and the last, are taken from the official “Avatar: The Last Airbender” YouTube channel - specifically their video of the uncut final battle.
Prior to this scene, Aang has taken a beating from Ozai in a cat-and-mouse battle, but the tide suddenly turns when a rocky protrusion lands a lucky hit on Aang's scar and unblocks his Thought Chakra, sending Aang into a previous-lives-fueled rage. "It's right here!" some of you might be saying to me in your heads; "His chakra is opened and he enters the Avatar State!"
But I'd ask you to take a step back. For the purposes of this write-up, unblocking the chakra will be separate from opening the chakra. Chakras are unblocked by default: this is the state of Aang's chakras before meeting Guru Pathik. If they've been blocked, they must be unblocked before they can be opened. Opening the chakras is the technique Aang learned from Guru Pathik, and opening each chakra is how he masters the Avatar State, which is the step beyond entering the defensive State. Azula prevented him not just from mastering the Avatar State, but accessing it at all; this is the effect of a blocked chakra, whereas an unblocked chakra lets Aang enter the State in dangerous or emotionally intense situations without control over it.
I hope that didn't sound too pretentious; it's just that I need to be clear about what I'm talking about. Still with me? Great!
It's true that the rock jab in the fight with Ozai does send Aang into the Avatar State, but this is the same defensive version we've seen in all appearances of the Avatar State, bar one (that instance being in "The Crossroads of Destiny"; this episode will be popping up again soon to be discussed). Guru Pathik tells Aang that when he has opened all the chakras, "[Aang] will have complete control and awareness of all [his] actions [in the Avatar State]", yet it's easy to see that Aang does not have control of his actions in this part of the final battle:
So if he doesn't master the Avatar State right then, that means the only other time he could have mastered it was at the end of "The Crossroads of Destiny," right? He was opening his seventh chakra!
Indeed he was. Here, though, the problem is that the process was never completed:
To top it off, there's also the fact that the explanation for the rock jab still holds for this one. Since Aang hasn't mastered the Avatar State when the jab sends him into it, that means at no point earlier in the series did he open his last chakra. This encompasses both the rock jab and the crystal cave sequence.
If you've agreed with me - or if I've convinced you of my assertions - up to this point, then that means that you think he didn't finish opening his chakras and that he never mastered the Avatar State at any point prior to or at the moment of the rock jab. You already know when I think he mastered the Avatar State, but I'm going to have to walk you through a fair bit of pre-explanation explanation before we get to the meat of it. Then, I promise, we'll have our answer.
  1. This point is crucial - it's why this specific list is numbered, as opposed to the others, which were bulleted. It's a bit of a reach, but it's necessary, and I explain why it's not actually a reach pretty well if I do say so myself. Here it is: Guru Pathik had perfect knowledge of all the chakras, and his words can be trusted infallibly...except for everything to do with the seventh chakra. To be more specific: everything he says regarding the seventh chakra in particular, beginning with what it is blocked by (earthly attachment) and all the teachings that follow that statement - all of that is born from misinformation. He's right about what it deals with - pure cosmic energy - and that it needs to be opened in order to master the Avatar State, but that's about it. The next couple points elaborate on where the misinformation comes from.
  2. Aang speaks with Avatar Yangchen in "Sozin's Comet, Part 2: The Old Masters," where she tells him that "the Avatar can never [detach themselves from the world], because [their] sole duty is to the world." How, then, has any Avatar in the past mastered the Avatar State through the methods Guru Pathik employs? Avatar Yangchen herself is seen having mastered the State in a vision in Book 2's "The Avatar State"! We have two conflicting opinions: Guru Pathik says detachment is necessary to master the Avatar State, but Yangchen says detachment is impossible for the Avatar. Which one is right? I'm going to go with the person who successfully mastered the Avatar State.
  3. This is not the only aspect of the seventh chakra about which Guru Pathik is mistaken. After Aang chooses Katara over his chakra at the Eastern Air Temple, Guru Pathik tells him, "By choosing attachment, you have locked the chakra! If you leave now, you won't be able to go into the Avatar state at all!" yet this is proven false multiple times. If he's misinformed in one way about how this chakra affects the Avatar State, it's more than possible he's wrong in a second way.
  4. [Speculation Warning] [Except It's A Necessary Elaboration] I think that the seventh chakra is distinct from the other chakras in that it functions slightly differently for the Avatar than it does for the rest of the world. I believe Guru Pathik was correct when he said the chakra "deals with pure cosmic energy", but since the Avatar's relationship to the world and universe is fundamentally different from "normal people's" relationship to the universe, opening the chakra that concerns the universe should be different for Avatars too. I explain in the other post that I think the way an Avatar opens the seventh chakra isn't by letting go of attachments, but by valuing their attachments even more than the Avatar State itself, the ultimate power of the Avatar. Like Yangchen says, the Avatar's duty is to the world before anything else, and since the Avatar State has the potential for both the most good and the most evil, the universe would seek balance by ensuring that the controllable Avatar State was inaccessible to each Avatar until they learned to care for the people of their world.
  5. Hundreds and hundreds of years have passed since the Avatar was an airbender (prior to Aang). That's a very long time for detailed information, like the opening of chakras, to remain intact without continuously putting that information to use. Since airbenders were likely achieving enlightenment continuously throughout the period between Air-vatars, the process for airbenders opening the seventh chakra would have remained well within the Nomads' wealth of knowledge. The information for how an Avatar opens their last chakra, though, was lost to time through disuse over, y'know, multiple centuries.
  6. This is more of a point #4.5 than #6, but whereas the chakras exist for everyone else so that they can become enlightened - Yangchen states, "Many great and wise Air Nomads have detached themselves and achieved spiritual enlightenment..." - Avatars aren't chasing spiritual enlightenment; instead, they're chasing mastery over the Avatar State. I'm not sure we can equate spiritual enlightenment for an Avatar to the Avatar State. I mean, maybe we can, but since this is quite subjective, it's last in line as far as evidence goes, but it's still potentially relevant.
Wow, that's...an absurd amount of set-up. But in spite of all the words in the way, we made it! Time to walk through the energybending scene, and how Aang truly takes control of the Avatar State.
Where we begin: Aang has just rejected the defensive Avatar State after nearly killing a helpless Ozai. He has drawn a line in the sand; he will never sacrifice the morality that's gotten him to this moment, even if it's the surest way to victory. I think Guru Pathik would be proud of this decision: before he begins his spiritual mentoring, he tells Aang, "You must gain balance within yourself before you can bring balance to the world." The world still needs the Avatar to lead them to harmony after Ozai's defeat. Aang would never find the strength in himself to restore balance to the nations if he himself was internally unbalance: damaged, unsure, reeling from actions he can't reconcile with himself. His guilt would make him feel unworthy, and he'd be questioning every code to which he held himself while simultaneously trying to establish a better code for the world to live by. I think his decision to spare Ozai was indeed mostly done out of stubbornness and it was a little selfish, but deep down in his psyche, it was also incredibly wise.
It also means that his identity as the Avatar has been forever altered: yes, all Avatars are autonomous, but they're somewhat of a product of their predecessors. In rejecting the morality of his past incarnations, Aang has refused to be that product; and since he can't control the Avatar State, he refuses to enter it and let his moral code be lost. This is significant because, without his past lives coming to save the day, he's legitimately alone for the first time ever. He can't depend on the wisdom of those that came before him any longer. It's fitting, then, that his next act is something no Avatar before him has ever done: energybending.
Despite the glowing eyes, he isn't in the Avatar State. First of all, the glowing mouth would be new, and second of all, his other tattoos aren't aglow.
Then, the glow of energy spreads throughout both of their bodies. They are radiant, and their conflict outshines the comet. Even as his spirit is turned inside out, though, he doesn't enter the Avatar State.
His eyes glow, but not his tattoos. The glowing eyes are a product of energybending and not the Avatar State; after all, Ozai isn't an Avatar.
You can compare these shots: though the reflections on his arms look like his arrow tattoos, they're not in the same place as in the picture above. That means Aang is doing this outside of the Avatar State.
The Lion-Turtle's words float over this contest of wills: "To bend another's energy, your own spirit must be unbendable, or you will be corrupted and destroyed." Before our eyes, Ozai's spirit begins to overtake Aang's, because Ozai is singleminded in his hatred and confident of his destiny. Aang's spirit must not be unbendable yet, because it's yielding to the Fire Lord. But what makes a spirit unbendable? Let's return to the words of the Lion-Turtle, the one who gave Aang the knowledge of this technique: "The true mind can weather all the lies and illusions without being lost. The true heart can tough the poison of hatred without being harmed."
What does this mean, and what does it mean to Aang? Is his heart true? Is his mind? Let's start with the mind:
If Aang's mind has yet to become "true", that means Aang is still suffering under some illusion(s) and/or lie(s) in this moment. What could that be? Well, there are multiple layers to Aang's "true mind". Even though he's focusing on energybending in this instant, the problem of the seventh chakra is still in the back of his head. Up until the night before the comet, Aang believed that he had to sacrifice his earthly attachments to open the chakra. In talking to Yangchen, though, he discovered that this wasn't the case. In the same conversation, he tells her, "But the monks taught me that I had to detach myself from the world so my spirit could be free!" He's struggling to accept the truth of Yangchen's words because it contradicts everything he learned about spirituality from the monks and about the chakras from Guru Pathik. This is an illusion under which he's still suffering.
But that's not all. On a deeper level, Aang has been told ever since coming out of the iceberg that the only way to defeat the Fire Lord is to become more powerful than him. For almost a year, Aang's path has been to develop skills and techniques in order to hit Ozai harder than Ozai can hit him. This subject is reminiscent of the thematic analysis of power in my first post, so I won't repeat it all here. Essentially, as soon as Aang energybends on Ozai, he realizes 1) that the elemental power either of them wields has lost all its significance, and 2) that without lethal force, power alone was never going to bring balance.
Now, what about Aang's heart? Is it "true"? Again, this has layers.
As I considered what Aang would need to do to open his last chakra, the thought of his struggle with letting Katara go became paramount. And as I dwelt on the problem of his feelings for Katara, it occurred to me that Aang's heart isn't true, not so long as he tries to carve interpersonal love out of it. And truly, what is better to "tough the poison of hatred" than love? A true heart will feel any and every emotion, despite what its owner tries to will it into feeling. Aang has denied his romantic feelings every time they prevented him from mastering the Avatar State (or, at least, he thought they were preventing him), but guess what else Aang has denied by this point? The Avatar State. Aang has decided he'll fight the rest of this fight without the Avatar State, and once he realizes that means his feelings for Katara don't need to be restrained any longer, he lets them come flooding through, and in doing so awakens his true heart.
Aang's heart also wouldn't be true without a pivotal decision that had taken place just seconds before energybending: sparing Ozai. That was Aang's heart's most intense trial - deciding to kill Ozai, or spare him - and it braved the test in an awesome display of resolve by shutting down the Avatar State. Yes, Aang's heart becomes "100% true" when he acknowledges his love for Katara to himself while energybending, but when he refused to kill Ozai, he unequivocally slammed the wall on "the poison of hatred".
At the culmination of all of this discovery, where Aang was vulnerable...

...he becomes unbendable.
Most importantly, he's now in the Avatar State!
He entered the Avatar State. He does so without the need to defend himself, and without being caught up in an emotional outburst, like every other time the State has been activated. Coincidentally (but actually not), it happened at the same exact second when his true mind and true heart conquered Ozai. How are these forces connected?
Here's some icing on the cake:
Does this beam look familiar?
They're identical! Well sure, the shafts are similar, but are these beams really the same?
True, they're not identical. But I'm going to treat it as a case of artistic license; they're identical enough for me!
The same beam that appeared when Aang enters the Avatar State for the first time returns to signal the moment Aang enters the Avatar State intentionally for the first time. A light show for Aang's first Avatar State, and a light show for Aang mastering the Avatar State. As a certain science-fantasy icon would say, "It's like poetry; they rhyme."
The conclusion of our recreation of this scene is the fully-realized Avatar Aang, victorious.

I don't know about you, but for me, reading all this meaning into this episode (while it is a lot) really elevates the final scenes. Going back to watch the fight while projecting this inner journey onto Aang just makes the finale even more special. If you'd like to end your reading here, I'll bid you good-bye, and I'd like you to know that I'm very grateful that you've read through two unbelievably oversized posts (assuming you read the first one!). You deserve a seat next to Bosco at the Earth King's next banquet.
If you're thinking about all the possible ways I'm wrong, though...so am I. This theory isn't 100% waterproof...but I'd call it 95% if we make the right concessions. Let's get into the detractors.
\"His arrow is glowing! I thought he shouldn't be in the Avatar State yet!\"
To this, I say that 1) it's not glowing as brightly as it does in the Avatar State, so it might just be an artistic decision to contrast the blue tattoo to the blue glow around his body. Then again, that's not consistent with the other images where the blue glow covers his whole body and yet his other arrows don't glow white. Here's what I think is happening. Let's review the sixth chakra real quick: deals with insight, blocked by illusion. Located where? The forehead. Also, there's a precedent for some of Aang's tattoos to glow while others don't. Here's something from this very episode:
Forehead and eyes? Check. Hand? Nope.
Nor is this the only time we see this happen: another one that comes to mind is when Aang's hand alone glows at the end of "The Swamp". What I think is happening in the first image is that Aang is in the process of untangling the illusions he's been fed, and with his spirit being turned "inside out" (that's the second time I'm using this phrase because I've heard that's how one of the creators described this scene), that process manifests in the form of a slight glow where the chakra is located. It's not related to the Avatar State, and it's not Aang "re-opening" the sixth chakra. It's just that the forehead is where, symbolically, illusions are undone. You might argue that, since the fifth chakra is blocked by lies, his throat should also be glowing (separate from his mouth). But while teaching Aang, Guru Pathik immediately clarifies what blocks the fifth chakra by saying, "The lies we tell ourselves." Aang isn't being dishonest with himself, therefore no throat glow.
This brings me to the very last topic of this post, which discusses the biggest threat to this theory.
All my ideas came from one quick little detail that I happened to notice: Aang's tattoos glowing after beating Ozai in energybending, and not before. But what if that - all of this - was just an...accident?
As much as we like to pretend ATLA is perfect (and it nearly is), it isn't quite, and the animation can reflect that. Here are some times that the Avatar State was represented incorrectly:
Aang's arrow isn't glowing.
The back of his head doesn't glow, yet in the show, the next shot shows his head's arrow tattoo alight like normal.
And finally, from the very episode which birthed this theory: Aang's eyes are white, but not glowing. I only noticed this goof on my ~fiftieth watch of this scene while formulating my ideas and gathering evidence for this post.
So if these mistakes are possible, who's to say the moment that forms the foundation of my theory isn't a mistake itself? Well, to be honest...I think there's a good chance it is. The Avatar State looks cool, so why wouldn't Aang be in the Avatar State after he energybends? In my heart, I don't really think it was the writers' intention that the seventh chakra is different for Avatars, and I think Cosmic Aang showed Aang the chained Katara because he was supposed to let her go. This is where the three other percentage points get knocked off of the airtight-ness of my ideas, because I feel like it's a fair number.
Despite this, I still side with my theory. I think that the fact that there's this much room for interpretation, mostly because of the inconsistencies that were left in the original story, gives my theory the space it needs to exist and thrive. If the show didn't explain itself on its own, why shouldn't my theory be the one to do it? It actually sews up more inconsistencies in the story than it creates! 95% airtight is still better than 92% airtight, 92% being the number I'd give the show's straightforward-ness of its presentation of this battle and the journey to the Avatar State, based on my subjective feelings. That's why I still want to spread these ideas, despite my doubts. I want fans to be able to have this matter settled. Maybe most fans don't care, but it's a good bet that the ones that are reading this do care :)
With that, I'll leave you with a picture of our Avatar demonstrating his mastery of the Avatar State. Regardless of chakras, he has proved he's the Avatar to whom the world owes the end of the war.
The End.

SnK Chapter 130 Poll Results

The chapter poll closed with 1775 responses. This month’s poll results were brought to you by u/staraves, Crunchwrap, Luna, Momtaku and Giovata! Thank you to everyone for your support!
RATE THE CHAPTER
Maybe it was finally getting Eren’s POV, or maybe it was finally seeing the rumbling in nine glorious double page spreads. Either way “Dawn for Humanity” was very well received with close to 70% giving it the highest possible rating, making this the most acclaimed chapter since 123
WHICH OF THE FOLLOWING WAS YOUR FAVORITE MOMENT?

“The revelation of Eren’s freaky final boss form” was our favorite moment (22.7%) followed by “Eren’s POV finally! Sort of?” (15.8%) and “The rumbling! At last!” (13.4%). “Historia and Eren’s tense discussion on the farm” came in fourth (11.6%).
WHO WAS THIS CHAPTER'S MVP?

“The colossal synchronized swim team” made an impressive showing (28.5%) but their majestic moves across the ocean were not enough to topple Eren (53.6%) for chapter MVP. Historia (8.1%), Zeke (5%), and Annie (3.5%) also received some love.
WHAT DOES THE CHAPTER TITLE "DAWN FOR HUMANITY" REFER TO?
WHAT ARE THE FUTURE IMPLICATIONS OF ANNIE DECIDING SHE'S TIRED OF FIGHTING AND NO LONGER WANTS TO STOP EREN?

Despite learning that her hometown is doomed, just over half of respondents feel confident Annie will continue to work with the alliance. Among the rest of responses, 27.4% think she will leave to find her father on her own, 16.9% believe this will cause Annie to do something stupid resulting in her death, and lastly 4% of the fandom believe this bad news will trigger her homicidal instincts and put her on team Eren.
WHAT WILL BE THE FATES OF THE ELDIANS IN LIBERIO, SPECIFICALLY THE WARRIORS' FAMILIES
View graph
When asked about the residents of Liberio and the fate of the Warriors’ families, a combined 58% believe that they are alive for the moment selecting that they were evacuated (39.3%) or else managed to escape (18.4%). Close to 30% aren’t so optimistic, believing Liberio is flattened and they are dead. We also had plenty of write in responses:
HOW DID YOU FEEL ABOUT HISTORIA'S STANCE ON THE RUMBLING?
View graph
Many of us had expectations about Historia going into this chapter. Her initially resistance to the rumbling but seemingly giving in was a surprise to 8.4% who thought she would have been all for it all along and 19.9% who never expected her to agree with it at all. 6.4% of you expected her to do the opposite of what is implied, agreeing at first but changing her mind in the conversation, and 23.3% reported expecting exactly what happened. However, a huge 41.5% of you aren’t taking everything at face value and do not believe Historia does or has ever supported the rumbling.
DO YOU BELIEVE EREN IS THE FATHER?

https://preview.redd.it/t7dfwm1honc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=ea16623e046a4f1b84570f17129f0999946b4c97
After almost 2 years of the fandom fighting over the identity of Historia’s baby daddy, this chapter has finally definitively proven that… we still know nothing. Nonetheless, the narrowly winning belief (37%) is that Eren is the father, closely followed by those who believe he is not the father (34.4%). Some are unsure what to make of the situation (18.2%), and some of you don’t care enough to speculate (10.4%).
HOW HAVE YOUR FEELINGS ON THIS CHANGED DUE TO THIS CHAPTER?

https://preview.redd.it/18i8lk2ionc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=e6610445c2d745521411b72b516bd382b1cd2014
35% went into the chapter thinking Eren was not the father and 30% believing he was, with this chapter doing nothing to change their minds. For those who were affected, this chapter influenced 14.2% to join the team #DaddyEren and 5.6% to burn their membership card. The remaining 15% don’t care enough to speculate.
SO THEN WHAT'S THE REAL DEAL WITH HISTORIA'S PREGNANCY?
View graph
“What’s the deal with Historia’s pregnancy?” Jerry Seinfeld asks. But we cannot answer – we can only sustain ourselves on memes and ship wars. Despite Eren and Historia’s somewhat uneasy conversation, a solid third of you remain sure that Eren is the father. A little over a fifth of you think she did the dirty with Farmer-kun instead. And another fifth is expecting smoething unforeseen (watermelon baby?). Some of you scream to the sky, sick of all the drama. And a few of you wouldn’t rule out a PATHS baby through… Ymir’s doing! No, not that Ymir. THAT Ymir.
WHY DO YOU THINK HISTORIA IS PROPOSING A PREGNANCY?

https://preview.redd.it/c2lxh9zkonc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=094e1e1a44c4b2bb98990c6f2fde2fe85ce4409e
Despite a majority of respondents believing the pregnancy is authentic, there is no consensus as to why Historia would propose it. The most popular answer when asked was “I don’t know” (32.2%). The remainder of the fandom is split between Historia proposing the pregnancy in support of Eren (23.1%), as part of an alternative plan (21%) or as an act of defiance against Eren (17.6%). Only a small percentage (6.1%) believe she actually wants a child.
WE LEARNED WHAT ZEKE REALLY TOLD EREN ABOUT THE ACKERBOND. ARE YOU SATISFIED WITH EVERYTHING WE HAVE LEARNED ABOUT THE ACKERMAN CLAN?

https://preview.redd.it/83te3x6monc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=30bcfc295b0b2954ace0e162b6580a411028f73c
75% of the fandom wants more resolution to the Ackermysteries with 38.4% wanting MOAR and 32.3% wanting at least a little more. Only 22.3% are satisfied with the ackercrumbs we’ve been tossed and 7% have no opinion.
HOW ACCURATE WAS ZEKE'S ASSESSMENT OF MIKASA'S FEELINGS TOWARD EREN?

https://preview.redd.it/axs6bt2nonc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=2171024877c0601a842c5ab186ed24a0bad8545e
One of the few areas of agreement in this chapter was with Zeke’s assessment of Mikasa’s feelings towards Eren. Close to 80% think that Zeke correctly understands that Mikasa’s concern for Eren has little to do with genetics and everything to do with reasons of the heart. However, the majority of people who took the option of writing in their answer cited both as a factor in Mikasa’s bond.
HOW DID YOU FEEL ABOUT THE PLACEMENT OF FLASHBACKS DURING THIS CHAPTER?
View graph
The majority of the fandom really enjoyed the inception-like flashbacks, but 1/5th just found it confusing as all hell. A sixth of the fandom is just fed up with Isayama blue-balling us. We’ve been in this relationship 10+ years, Yams, it’s time for you to give it up!
WHAT IS THE MEANING BEHIND EREN IMPLYING HE "WANTED THIS", REGARDING THE FUTURE OF THE RUMBLING?

https://preview.redd.it/h1lvm53oonc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=d73eab2bf361fbe43cec08049dd635bce9fd6ae9
Continuing Eren’s ongoing theme of the question of free will and determinism, this chapter presented us with the possibility that Eren wanted this outcome from the start. The majority of respondents to this question (54.7%) believe that Eren is just convincing himself there was no other possible future after seeing it play out in front of his very eyes, and with 17.1% believing him to be an unreliable narrator. A smaller 12% believe this is confirmation that Eren’s vengeful nature caused this, closely followed by 9.5% of you who just think he is a lunatic.
THIS BURST OF PANELS SHOWS A VARIETY OF SCENES FROM EREN'S POV, BUT SOME SCENES APPEAR TO BE FROM A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE OR ENTIRELY NEW SCENES. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
View graph
Nearly 45% of the people who voted, thought it was a deus ex machina move from Founding Titan by Proxy, which granted Eren a glimpse at all Eldians’ memories. Almost a third think that Eren was actually able to control their memories. 14% of all voters are just “wtf…? I dunno” at all the Pathsnanigans.
THIS CHAPTER SHOWED US ANOTHER MEMORY OF FEZ-KUN, FINDING HIMSELF IN TROUBLE AGAIN. WHAT DO YOU THINK IS THE MEANING BEHIND HIS HIDDEN STORY?

https://preview.redd.it/mfbpbm8ponc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=0c242b8c217ff5f9eee1cde51e9333bd580cc024
The mystery of the Fez persists once again, with this being the tenth chapter since he was first shown. Though by a small margin, the consensus is that the purpose of his story is to reaffirm Eren’s determination to wipe out the world at 44.8%, with 33.4% of respondents believing he will be a tie to Eren’s compassion and remorse for what he is doing. 17.1% believe it highlights Eren’s inherent hypocrisy for caring for him even though he will die by his actions later. Many write-in options expressed confusion at who this kid is.
SWIMMING TITANS?

https://preview.redd.it/lcperpiqonc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=e958e0593382f0e480dcef21a68009034c442569
88% of you welcome your Swimming Titan overlords, but 12% aren’t so convinced - there’s a pretty even chance it’s because the image is just too absurd, too terrifying, or a pants-wetting combination of both.
WHEN THE MILITARY SIGHTS ERENSAURUS AT THE END, RATHER THAN CALLING IT THE FOUNDING TITAN OR EREN JAEGER, THEY RECOGNISE IT AS THE ATTACK TITAN. WHY?

https://preview.redd.it/g7vohnksonc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=9d66dcfdebc021479685a347f7f017656440ad5b
When he isn’t “Eren Jaeger”, the world likes to call our genocidal boy “the Founding Titan”, but this chapter is an exception. The plurality (40.3%) is that this was just for the purpose of Isayama being able to drop a “Shingeki no Kyojin” in this climactic chapter, though a close second option (34%) is that there is historical information to sight the Attack Titan. 15.2% of you believe the Attack Titan is the Titan Bogeyman for Marleyans, and 10.4% attribute the naming to the fact that it’s attacking them, duh.
NOW THAT WE FINALLY GOT TO SEE EREN'S SPINE-CHILLING (BADUM-TSS) FORM, WHAT DID YOU THINK?

https://preview.redd.it/z8madqowonc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=c2ccd9749eb2d2a753069cd02fca7cbfc90bc50e
This manga has turned into a horror show, and y’all seem to be loving it, according to over fifty percent. Thirty percent are aghast at the sight before them, and nearly a tenth don’t really know what to think of the Grim Reaper titan. Some of you wanted something more fully formed, but this creepy crawly is freaky enough, isn’t it? Let’s just be glad none of us live in Marley right now.
WHY IS EREN'S CURRENT TITAN FORM A SKELETON WITH NO FLESH?
View graph
Eren is looking awfully spooky right now. That’s a good sign, isn’t it? I guess looking like a death metal album cover is better than looking like whatever Rod Reiss was supposed to be. 34.9% figure it’s too big for flesh, or PATHS sand ran out. 34.6% think that the form is incomplete because of the missing titan powers; this is only a third of his potential scariness! 23% think there’s no real reason in-story reason for this, and 7.6% think Eren is still not done forming this devilish beast.
WHAT IS ISAYAMA TRYING TO SAY WITH THE PUPPET-LIKE MOTIF OF EREN'S TITAN?
View graph
Many have noticed the puppet-like strings connecting Eren’s torso and head to his stegosaurus spikes, but what does it mean? Him being a slave to himself (38%) just edged out him being a slave to fate (36.7%), with a slim minority (3.3%) believing Ymir could be the true puppeteer. Of course, there are the 21.9% of you who are remaining steadfast in the belief that Eren is NOT a slave, he is FREE.
WHERE IS EREN'S HUMAN BODY MOST LIKELY RESIDING?

https://preview.redd.it/5wnnv1nxonc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=7e168bfaa947d6b58b35c892eba514b9b9024050
The results for this are a mixed bag, though it’s most popular (29.1%) that Eren has no human form, and has merged with the Titan on some level, with a close second (28.8%) believing him to be separate from the Titan but not in the conventional sense, operating it from the ocean with the Warhammer power. 27.9% of you believe he is in the standard position of the nape, and 14.2% of you believe the head of the Attack Titan could be his true location.
THE CHAPTER ENDS WITH CHILD EREN'S DETERMINATION TO "DESTROY THEM" OVERLAPPING WITH ADULT EREN COMMANDING THE RUMBLING. WHICH STATEMENT IS THE MOST ACCURATE REGARDING THIS COMPARISON?
View graph
This curious panelling choice ends the chapter, giving us a peek into Eren's mind – but in true Isayama fashion with ambiguous meaning. 45.6% believe it shows that Eren’s fixed perception of the world, his will and titan powers simple giving him the means to affect it. 26.4% think it’s a reminder of Eren’s tragic tendency to believe that peace cannot exist without the elimination of an opposing force. 16.8% think it demonstrates Eren’s willing or unwilling continuation of the cycle of hatred and revenge. Finally, 9.1% think there’s a hint here that Eren’s childhood self was cursed by his future self's thoughts.
THIS CHAPTER ALSO PRESENTED US WITH TWO ALMOST DICHOTOMIC MOTIVATIONS FOR EREN, BETWEEN LOVE FOR HIS FRIENDS AND HATE FOR THE ENEMY, BUT WHICH DO YOU BELIEVE IS THE STRONGER DRIVING FORCE?

https://preview.redd.it/qvlvsk1zonc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=2123803ce07194ba00ab1c58a63451af200d47db
The two most powerful and conflicting emotions driving Eren right now have the fanbase somewhat split over what pushes him further. It seems that most are optimistic about Eren’s prime motivation being the wellbeing of his friends at 59.7%. Meanwhile 40.3% believe that Eren’s love for his friends has been eclipsed by the roiling hatred and thirst for vengeance within him. Even at this point in the story, it’s hard to be absolutely certain – safe to say Eren is a real menace when he feels this strongly about anything.
ON A SCALE FROM "SECRET PLAN" TO "KILL 'EM ALL", WHERE DO YOU STAND ON EREN'S TRUE INTENTIONS?

https://preview.redd.it/hp1q1yb0pnc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=35ed0e42b62afeaeb16fcbe6edb8d636cf8e42c4
This chapter all but confirmed that Eren indeed plans to wipe out the entire outside world for most of the fandom. The majority are skewed towards the opinion of Eren definitely rumbling everything, with less and less respondents holding onto hope that Eren has an alternate plan.
WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THE REPEATED BIRD IMAGERY?

https://preview.redd.it/ccu14w61pnc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=ecf061c4d547987b32fc4f758c99345303543127
Birds are a focal point of this chapter, with panels of seagulls and geese. The majority (62.5%) believe the birds simply tie into the theme of, and likely Eren’s motivation of freedom. In a distant second (20.9%) is the answer that it relates to the idea of everyone being connected under the same sky, a fitting motif amidst this chapter’s exploration of the conflict and unity of different groups. 12.7% of you are hopping on board the “Eren is a bird now” train, and 4% of you just really don’t like birds.
THIS CHAPTER HAD SOME AMAZING ART, SHOWCASED IN THE MANY DOUBLE SPREAD. WHICH WAS YOUR FAVORITE?
View graph and display
The art has definitely taken a step up this month, with nine glorious double spreads. Though the result is split, the results praise the final double spread showcasing the commencing of the rumbling (18.2%). At second (15.7%) was the imposing silhouettes of colossal titans rising from the ocean, and at a very close third (15.5%) was the very next spread of the battleship destruction.. If there’s one thing to take from the winners’ similarity, the rumbling payoff was sweet for all.
CHAPTER 130 MARKS THE END OF A VOLUME, WHICH HAS BEEN FILLED WITH ALLIANCE-FOCUSED CHAPTERS. WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS NOW THAT WE'VE FINALLY RETURNED TO EREN?

https://preview.redd.it/3yu7zfv2pnc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=5a520f8ed27d70e611d7c7c75b927d9d3a2ee28c
After six consecutive chapters focusing on the alliance with no Eren, the majority of you (57.6%) are relieved to finally move past them, though have enjoyed the recent chapters, with 20.4% being completely over the alliance. 7.4% say they were originally sceptical but the character have grown on them, and 14.6% are open to more chapters just focused on the alliance.
DESCRIBE THIS CHAPTER IN ONE WORD
The top 5 write-ins are below, followed by the average chapter score for each description. This months’ average chapter score was 4.59.
  1. Amazing [4.89]
  2. Epic [4.84]
  3. Eren/Ereh [4.69]
  4. Rumbling [4.46]
  5. Confusing [3.88]
Honorable mention: Ragnarok
We’d also like to mention that there were a lot of write-ins related to genitals and coitus… seems like y’all were really hyped up by that first fanlation >.>
WHAT ARE YOU MOST HOPING TO SEE NEXT CHAPTER?

https://preview.redd.it/erobw0s3pnc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=048a14884a9eaf9b878eca17f8a0932e230b6e23
Despite this chapter theoretically giving us everything we had hoped for in a while, the responses show that we still want WAY MORE answers (34.6%), MORE Historia (16.9%) and MORE rumbling action (14.5%). We’d also like to know where on earth Zeke is and if Floch is going to be the little troublemaker that we know and have strong feelings about. Will the boat make it to Odiha? Will Levi do a thing? Stay tuned!

  • Good to see some Eren and Historia (finally!!) but the lack of answers is really hurting my heart, cmon yama!!
  • Tease me more, daddy Isayama
  • Epic chapter, amazing artwork. And astonishingly, with 5-6-7 chapters left i still don't know where this is going.
  • Definitely in my top ten best chapters. The ending was gloriously horrifying to read. I feel like this chapter wasn’t that great. It kind of gave way to more speculation without giving many concrete answers. The things that it DID answer felt like stating the obvious.
  • This chapter most likely is the best i've ever seen. So many answers and sooo many questions left behind.
  • Death is on its way, ladies and gents. Also the end is almost here. What the fuck is going on? I just want some answers about E V E R Y T H I N G (especially about Eren's psyche).

  • Fuck yes! Erens back!
  • Our Queen has finally returned!
  • Honestly I’m just happy to see her again, becuase she’s my favorite character, and even if the flashback gives more questions than answers.
  • loved zeke-eren bro talk
  • everyone who thought that Floch was lying in charter 125 are 🤡🤡🤡

“The colossal synchronized swim team” made an impressive showing (28.5%) but their majestic moves across the ocean were not enough to topple Eren (53.6%) for chapter MVP. Historia (8.1%), Zeke (5%), and Annie (3.5%) also received some love.
  • EREN IS THE GOAT
  • Eren is the worst boy in the world.
  • EREN JAEGER GENOCIDAL MANIAC
  • I really missed Historia, so it was nice to see her.
  • can the rumbling start a synchronized aquatic dance?
WHAT DOES THE CHAPTER TITLE "DAWN FOR HUMANITY" REFER TO?
  • I thought of it as some sort of "End of the world" titling.
  • Dunno; but it doesn't really work if the rest of the world gets rumbled, does it?
  • Eren wants to kill “animals” to give a new life to “humanity”
  • A dawn, or a beginning of a new day, has arrived. Whether this new day is a good or a bad one for humanity, we do not yet know.
  • Dawn for Eldians to be exact. Dusk for Marleyans.
  • It could refer to a ""dawn"" for the alliance, who intend for neither side of the conflict to be eradicated, as they believe everyone is part of ""humanity"". Despite their deliberation at the beginning of the chapter, the fact that they're finally setting sail to stop Eren is testament that they've not lost their hope in the pursuit of this ideal
  • Eldians in Paradis Island being free from the wrath of outsiders and being avenged
  • The Rumbling & Historia's child, humanity's destruction and its rebirth
  • Continuation of "End's Eve" as this is the dawn of the day where humanity fights for its continued existence
  • Dawn of the final day - 24 hours remain
WHAT ARE THE FUTURE IMPLICATIONS OF ANNIE DECIDING SHE'S TIRED OF FIGHTING AND NO LONGER WANTS TO STOP EREN?

https://preview.redd.it/bcyxehsbenc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=cdef5da7bd9f87897db58abf83be91f96dd87542

  • Annie saying she didn't want to have to be prepared to fight mikasa, Connie, armin, jean, Reiner and eren again made me feel sad for her ;-;
  • I just wanna say that it wouldn't make any sense for Isayana to bring Annie back and then write her out so it's obvious she will continue in the alliance lol (but I don't really agree with any of the options offered, I think she will decide by herself to stay)
  • As one of the nine shifters, she kinda has the responsibility to fight, even if she doesn't want to, and I get completely why she doesn't want to, poor thing. I have a sneaky suspicion that she might choose Porco's way out and we might yet see a new holder of the Female Titan power. :(

Close to 30% aren’t so optimistic, believing Liberio is flattened and they are dead. We also had plenty of write in responses:
  • They are going to die, but I can see Annie meeting her father and die together in each others arm by the rumbling. It's sad I know, but it would be a fitting end for both of them :(
  • Either they overcame the Marleyan authorities that tried to surpress, or The Rumbling avoided Liberio entirely. I just doubt they would kill off Mr. Leonhardt offscreen.
  • They took a ship to the south and we will meet them including Reiner's family and Mr. Leonhart.
  • Am I supposed to feel sorry for these people? I don't. The Warriors don't deserve happy endings for everything they have done.
  • I want to have hope ;-;
  • They're currently fineish because Eren didn't go where Hange was expecting, hence why all their estimations have been off
  • I just want Annie to see her father again, and for Reiner to get what he wants.
  • What if the city Eren attacked isn't Liberio? I feel like it's too important to be flattened just like that (thematical resonance + too many side-characters like Eren's own grandfather are there) and we're being misled about the place Eren is attacking.
HOW DID YOU FEEL ABOUT HISTORIA'S STANCE ON THE RUMBLING?

Her initially resistance to the rumbling but seemingly giving in was a surprise to 8.4% who thought she would have been all for it all along and 19.9% who never expected her to agree with it at all. 6.4% of you expected her to do the opposite of what is implied, agreeing at first but changing her mind in the conversation, and 23.3% reported expecting exactly what happened. However, a huge 41.5% of you aren’t taking everything at face value and do not believe Historia does or has ever supported the rumbling.

  • i will bet on my freedom that eren is the father
  • Historia x Eren ftw!
  • Eren being the father would be the most meaningful for both the story, as well as for Eren and Historia and their chemistry together if you ask me, though I can accept otherwise.
  • I have not any positive thoughts about Eren-Historia's flashback. Just pain, I feel pain for her. I don't get the point to destroy her character like that.
  • I really hope Eren isn’t the father — it just doesn’t seem right.
  • I don't believe Eren is the father since it will contradict what he said to Zeke: "I'm only left with 4 years"
  • Sorry shippers, I don't think we'll ever get a straight answer about who's the father. But I kinda prefer it that way, because then we'll each get to decide what we thinks is correct.
HOW HAVE YOUR FEELINGS ON THIS CHANGED DUE TO THIS CHAPTER?

https://preview.redd.it/2ydejct6fnc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=1278d19e1bd4a74300a766649d1dc761e024b287
  • If Eren is the father, I think it's possible Historia wanted his baby to keep a part of him with her after the rumbling is over, or perhaps it was an attempt to make him want to come back when he's done or even not commit genocide.
  • why does everyone keep saying Eren is the Father confirmed? There is literally no evidence to support that, and it actually contradicts Erens statement when Zeke discusses Mikasas feelings towards him.
  • I want confirmation on the father cause if it's not eren ima be pissed off
  • I can't stand the mystery surrounding Historia's pregnancy anymore, this is worse than serum bowl.
THAT Ymir.
  • Historia is playing 5d chess I just know it. I just don't know how yet
  • Why'd Historia act like that if Eren wasn't the father?
  • Eren has to be the father for the good dev of eren & historia characters
  • I really hope the pregnancy thing is just a red herring, but it wouldn't be the first-time Isayama appealed to fan-service if not.
  • If I see more speculation on whether Eren is the father I'm gonna puke. I mean how about focus on the real story? Like how the world is about to be destroyed??
  • We need more Historia. We literally need her POV for the story to make sense right now. I can't believe that with ""5% of the plot"" left Isayama is *still* pulling this all this time? There *has* to be more.
  • I always knew Mikasa was the father
WHY DO YOU THINK HISTORIA IS PROPOSING A PREGNANCY?

https://preview.redd.it/ak3ykpbifnc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=201df1b21fa8f20ad5d2ecf00140844e8aa32194
  • What the hell is the pregnancy for? It doesnt make any sense for Historia to suggest that all of a sudden
  • What if the "what if I have a child" scene with Historia actually happened EARLIER than the rest of the conversation? It would explain why they switched places, and if Eren really is the father, would explain why he feels he has such a say in Historia's child's future ("even if you agree, I don't" ) , and why when he spoke about the MPs he said "WE have two options: fight or run". It would also give him a motivation to oppose his friends, since they are trying to stop him.
  • I don't see his conversation with Historia in romantic light. She was scared of him and Eren was trying to manipulate her with her own words about being ""the worst girl on the world"". We still miss some important parts of their conversation, but if she agreed to help him because he reminded her how ""the worst girl"" she was, then I would be very disappointed. I saw her as strong woman and I hope she will not turn to be a mild sheep who isn't brave enough to follow Ymir's wish and ""live her life with pride""
  • I have no idea for which purpose Historia want to become pregnant, but I'm glad that I was right that she decide it for herself and doesn't get forced at all!
  • Historia has a trick up her sleeve and I can't wait to see what it is.
WE LEARNED WHAT ZEKE REALLY TOLD EREN ABOUT THE ACKERBOND. ARE YOU SATISFIED WITH EVERYTHING WE HAVE LEARNED ABOUT THE ACKERMAN CLAN?

https://preview.redd.it/u1fkcxrlfnc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=a4dd6c401a028ff74d900eeba04b895d32511b92
75% of the fandom wants more resolution to the Ackermysteries with 38.4% wanting MOAR and 32.3% wanting at least a little more. Only 22.3% are satisfied with the ackercrumbs we’ve been tossed and 7% have no opinion.
  • love guru zook
  • ackerman bond means LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!! sweet for all ackerman related shippers
  • I'm satisfied to see yet another example of people trying to pin eren's BS onto zeke (with the ackerman theories) be proven completely wrong
  • Mikasa's charachter wouldve been a lot more interesting if her ackerman genes had an effect on her decision making and her trying to overcome them would be a lot more intriguing to see. Instead it turned out to be some lovey dovey pancake bullshit. I mean what would Zeke even know about Mikasa??
  • I think the fact that the Ackermans can access the Paths without being shifters is going to be super relevant. My pet theory is that Mikasa will be able to cross into the Paths dimension to kill Eren and truly free Ymir Fritz, but let's see how that goes.
HOW ACCURATE WAS ZEKE'S ASSESSMENT OF MIKASA'S FEELINGS TOWARD EREN?

https://preview.redd.it/6qn65xeofnc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=7b336dae5a3654ad631a4178a08ff9b29f36f530
  • Eren, when your sadistic and bloodthirsty big bro can see how much Mikasa loves you, you probably should take it seriously lol
  • usually when panels sway to the right, they are true, so I believe this is the case.
  • Did anybody honestly not already know this? We learned nothing new from this as far as I'm concerned.
  • Mikasa really cares for Eren but the Ackerman genes amplify her love for him.
  • Everybody's emotional attachments have some basis in biology. It doesn't make them any less real or meaningful
  • The ackerman blood does boost her physical abilities but i believe it doesn't affect her mentally (she probably has ptsd and seperation anxiety)
  • What is between Eren and Mikasa? There is something we still Dont know.I wish for more Mikasa....
  • As much as Mikasa being ready to snap titans necks in two for Eren is due to her love for him, Eren being willing to go through with a world genocide to prevent Historia's sacrifice definitely results from his love for her.
  • Loved the interwoven flashbacks, and made sense considering a lot of the "unknown" conversations(Eren with Yelena, Floch, Historia....) all tie into each other.
  • E-H convo should've been shown months ago; now is not the time for flashbacks.
  • I don't mind it, but i feel Isayama was, to a certain degree, struggling to work all of this information organically into the story, so he was forced to choose this flashback method to get it out there.
  • The juxtaposition is very purposeful, while I don’t necessarily like what it implies, it is indeed impactful.
  • People might say this is Isayama being mysterious and showing us everything but revealing nothing as he always does, and yeah and if this was 10 chapters ago I might see that as a positive, but this late into the series it feels like it was just a waste of a chapter.
  • They were good because they connected with each-other; though I had to reread the chapter several times to distinguish who was talking because it flipped so much.
  • These kinds of chapters are slightly annoying in the moment, but are more than worth it in the long run.
WHAT IS THE MEANING BEHIND EREN IMPLYING HE "WANTED THIS", REGARDING THE FUTURE OF THE RUMBLING?

https://preview.redd.it/njyua5frfnc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=8cbde88f97a99f9ac9b23ef56a51e561510d4c91
  • Eren said from the start he would, "destroy them all." He hated being a slave. I think he *does want this. He wants whatever will guarantee freedom.
  • Both future can't be changed AND Eren is a fucking lunatic
  • Even if the future could be changed Eren preferred the full rumbling
  • He literally had no option from the very beginning , his actions is definitely justified .
  • it's probably all the attack titan's will, not his.
  • I've given up trying to understand Eren's logic. It's just too bizarre. I will wait until the story is finished to form any opinion about him.
  • Eren was bored in his original universe and wanted humanity to have a threat so he made the aot universe via Ymir and became that threat himself.
  • he doesn’t want to admit he’s surrendered to his destiny. So Isayama’s going to come back to this by having Eren admit to himself he isn’t really free/this isn't what he wants, which will be the culmination of his character arc (what will he do then?…).
  • Eren kinda forgot about the mothers
  • I don't know and I don't like it. Hope it isn't another pathsfuckery while all I want in life is KRUEGER'S POV.
  • Eren's path shit also implies the story has always been bending to that moment too. From the pigs, to even Dina from that Bert shard. If it's ever revealed he orchestrated Carla's death to stimulate Grisha and Eren's hatred, the whole demonisation of RBA gets turned on his head.
  • I don't like the idea that Eren controlled the Smiling Titan but it's starting to feel more and more likely...
  • I hope the explanation isn't some magical PATHS stuff where he orchestrated characters (like Dina's) actions or is suddenly an all-seeing almighty being. Grisha was enough pls.
  • DUDE, THIS MEANS THAT BIRD HAS P A T H S!
  • FT/Ymir lets Eren see the memories of all Eldians. It will come up again. I don't get some of the angles/perspectives though.
  • It's possible some of these things haven't happened yet, or that Eren has access to the memories of more shifters somehow. For example, Berthold might be a memory Annie or Reiner have and Eren will receive if he eats one of them while they try to stop him.
  • I have absolutely no idea what the deal is with the Falco and Bertolt memories but I'm sure they're not inconsistency errors considering the care that went into showing that the Mikasa/Grisha/Levi etc. panels are clearly from Eren's POV.
  • Excited to see from where Hange without glasses memories from
  • Eren is the air, the trees, the birbs, everything
  • Marcel is more like to come back from the dead before I ever understand half the shit inside Eren’s head.
THIS CHAPTER SHOWED US ANOTHER MEMORY OF FEZ-KUN, FINDING HIMSELF IN TROUBLE AGAIN. WHAT DO YOU THINK IS THE MEANING BEHIND HIS HIDDEN STORY?

https://preview.redd.it/ccztc0cufnc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=20157525404e9fac69560d98960b8981c1ddc0ca
  • Eren believes that suffering and oppression of minorities will never end just by small acts of kindness and simular "passive" acts, like what Levi did, it does not provide a long term solution or prevent Fez-kun'sfrom furder torments, which is why Eren feels like the extreme solution of the rumbling is his only option
  • Eren gave a mission to Fez-kun
  • Eren using another kid to get his way without caring about his life. What else is new.
  • He's the "even someone on the street" part of Kruger's advice to love someone to break the cycle of tragedy.
  • I think he found himself in trouble again (looks to be bruised on the cheek in 120) and Eren will come to his rescue. However I think Eren will not just save him by beating up or killing the Marleyans, but inspiring the Fez kid to take action and "fight" just like he did with Mikasa. This arc has had a lot of focus on the almost inhumane level of violence Eren showed as a kid when killing those kidnappers, so I can see that being for the purpose of a direct parallel
  • I think Eren saved Fez-kun of those guys, but then he will kill him later, showing his own hypocrisy (those guys can't do bad to a child but I can).
  • I expect his shard(s) to contrast the other previously unknown panel from 120: Historia’s shard was revealed to be yet another instance of Eren manipulating a friend by putting his desires above her own, thus robbing her of her free-will. I hope that Fez-kun symbolizes the "beauty in a cruel world"
  • It show that Eren just have an other plan and not just kill everyone for no reason???? Lest not be that blind :) what esle u want to understund thats an option too? you want isayama to told u?
  • Eren will save their family and he told Fez to lead his family to a certain location that the rumbling won't reach?
  • What are all these crappy options? He represents Eren’s journey to changing his viewpoint about everyone being an enemy, as he told Reiner.
SWIMMING TITANS?

https://preview.redd.it/k61jo7yvfnc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=48481927bcd6f797e788fd25c265dbce9a1004e1
88% of you welcome your Swimming Titan overlords, but 12% aren’t so convinced - there’s a pretty even chance it’s because the image is just too absurd, too terrifying, or a pants-wetting combination of both.
  • The panel of the titan swimming underneath that ship haunts me in my dreams.
  • HELL YEAH FUCKING SWIMMING TITANS
WHEN THE MILITARY SIGHTS ERENSAURUS AT THE END, RATHER THAN CALLING IT THE FOUNDING TITAN OR EREN JAEGER, THEY RECOGNISE IT AS THE ATTACK TITAN. WHY?

https://preview.redd.it/e3kzzhxxfnc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=9c6a77e82adc7e3c079cca49b7b285920ce67f8c
  • I think the Maryleans/World Forces knew it was the Attack Titan bc of the Eldians in Marley (like Annie's dad) warning them ahead of time. I think once they realized The Rumbling was happening, they asked for more deets from the folks who heard Eren's message in the Path's Realm.
  • I wonder why the rest of the world was only using Mikasa ships instead of various ships lol
  • IT CAN'T BE STOPPED ANYMORE
NOW THAT WE FINALLY GOT TO SEE EREN'S SPINE-CHILLING (BADUM-TSS) FORM, WHAT DID YOU THINK?

https://preview.redd.it/5n9r2j6zfnc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=be03cf8b4e408b0b03b2cd884af89c9b16f5c8d3
  • My jaw dropped when I saw Eren’s titan form. Horrific.
  • I love Erensaurus a lot. This chapter gave the same level of anxiety that Zeke's attack in Shiganshina gave me. Good
  • YEAH EREN IS SCARY AS FUCK I LOVE IT MORE FREEDOM MORE FREEDOM MORE FREEDOM
  • Eren's titan looks a little like the earth devil
  • Really interested in where it is going especially because Eren's Titan got lips which could be an indicator for it to have the ability to speak
  • I'm not saying anything about Eren's titan. What even the actual fuck, Yams
  • Eren's upper skeleton body thing looks like wings of freedom...
  • The reason Eren's body was like this, if he was muscular, he would radiate a lot of heat, so the Allience's couldn't reach him. But now, no muscle, no heat. They can reach easily.
  • When a shifter generates a titan body, they need to have a special task or purpose in mind. Is Eren's titan meant to be a bridge between Paradis Island and the continent?
  • He is a slave to the future memories and instead of trying to find a different way, he is convincing himself that this is what he wants from the start to compensate for how little freedom he has.
  • He's trying to justify to himself that he isn't a slave
  • Eren is a slave to that sweet sweet feeling of self-righteous rage.
  • Ymir might be acting through Eren.
  • I think eren has become a vessel for ymir and it's ymirs will that we're hearing.
WHERE IS EREN'S HUMAN BODY MOST LIKELY RESIDING?

https://preview.redd.it/60fnxcr7gnc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=e8a2424071d6b2c7190e557efae9c0d98197c722
  • So, does Eren now only have his head left or was he fully healed thanks to Ymir?
  • where is Eren (No,not his titan)? There is no nape on that thing, just bone
  • I NEED TO KNOW HOW EREN IS TRANSPORTING HIMSELF
  • ALL OF THE ABOVE
  • I hate eren do the same thing as what he had been through
  • It's Eren's tendency to lose himself to the desire for vengeance, which in the mange is always depicted as leading to a catastrophe in the end.
  • His childhood trauma comes back to him when he sees a loved one die / about to die and feels the powerlessness of having been unable to do anything because of being weak.
  • It's a parallel showing his determination to fight back against those who would deny he and his comrades their freedom.
  • The thoughts are child Eren, simply overlapping with the current situation. It may not be adult Eren’s thoughts.
  • I just want to say that the history is repeating its self . What we thought it was the past it's actually the future
  • AngeRage was always the main drive that he used to keep fighting/seeking for freedom
  • I like the idea that this is showing deep down he is driven by his childlike rage, and as much as he tries to convince himself it's for his friends, he really just wants to revel in violence because he's broken and he thinks wiping everyone out is the only way he will be at peace.
THIS CHAPTER ALSO PRESENTED US WITH TWO ALMOST DICHOTOMIC MOTIVATIONS FOR EREN, BETWEEN LOVE FOR HIS FRIENDS AND HATE FOR THE ENEMY, BUT WHICH DO YOU BELIEVE IS THE STRONGER DRIVING FORCE?

https://preview.redd.it/uhq8o7d9gnc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=8d6fb41882ce0cdebee802af050a680011b4ad55
  • I feel like I finally fully understand Eren's mindset, even though there is probably still more to his POV. He just wants his friends to be happy and live long lives, so he had to push them away especially after Sasha's death.
  • Eren's memory chain went from remembering his friends smiling, to Sasha's death and Fez-kun being beat up, and eventually to his mother's death and his vow to kill all titans, showing that deep down he knows his motivation to protect his friends is bullshit and that his "enemies" are mostly innocents, but he keeps moving forward due to hatred and revenge.
  • Eren has never healed his trauma. It was "eating" him slowly and turned him into this he hated the most - a devilish monster.
  • if Eren ends killing the friends he wanted to protect, he will be a complete disappointment. I really am afraid of SnK's ending.
  • "I want my friends to live long happy lives" he says after treating them like shit, breaking their spirit, and partially ruining their home island with millions of titans. I hope he doesn't act surprised when they show up to stop him (assuming they can catch up of course).
  • I don't believe the word "animals" align with Eren's current perspective, nor how he sees his "enemies". [..] He just believes this radical action is the only necessary way to end an unstoppable inter-generational conflict in his lifetime so these problems aren't handed down to future generations anymore.
  • he's being driven both by hatred and love, but right now his rage is winning and he's using the safety of his friends and Eldia as an excuse to appease his conscience.
ON A SCALE FROM "SECRET PLAN" TO "KILL 'EM ALL", WHERE DO YOU STAND ON EREN'S TRUE INTENTIONS?

https://preview.redd.it/gr6adg3bgnc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=a2aa488b577843ddf887426401c0ff1dfe921131
This chapter all but confirmed that Eren indeed plans to wipe out the entire outside world for most of the fandom. The majority are skewed towards the opinion of Eren definitely rumbling everything, with less and less respondents holding onto hope that Eren has an alternate plan.
  • I thought eren had a secret plan for the rumbling but after getting his pov this chapter looks like he really is going for it
  • Somehow, I can't shake off the feeling that we still haven't seen 100% of Eren's plan, there is still some twist waiting. I am not trying to justify Eren's current actions, it's more like ""if there is something that will throw this whole scenario upside down it better come up soon, because right now IT DOESN'T LOOK GOOD"".
  • I think that this chapter confirms two things: one, the Rumbling is Eren's true plan [...] BUT two, there is "something beyond that hell", which is the "scenery" Eren says he saw in ch. 121. I think it's the endgame after the Rumbling is stopped (no way is it going to be completed), and it's what caused both Grisha and Historia to go along with his plan in the end even though they didn't agree with it and thought it was awful. Eren's "everything is still ahead" and the weird cut in Historia's flashback are too... strange and seem to point to this being a game changer and the final plot point of the series.
  • If the rumble will succeed, then I've spent 7 chapters seeing characters do nothing to accomplish nothing. I don't wanna feel my time wasted.
  • This hateful world is needed to be purged and I support Eren for this. And when Rumbling is over that beast piece of sh** must die by Levi's hand.
WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THE REPEATED BIRD IMAGERY?

https://preview.redd.it/5qvzcgodgnc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=476cc0add064b451091d57737e82cb81655451d5
  • The two birds from the Paths panels appear in episode 1 of the anime iirc, not sure about the manga though.
  • Eren is bird confirmed thank <°^°>
  • I like the Bird Theory that says he’s transferring his consciousness to a bird. yeah it sounds a bit odd but it’s interesting and I’m willing to accept anything at this point
  • The birds are secret surveillance cameras
  • Eren is the Eagle we see in the chapter 91 that Falco says to fly away lmao
  • Isayama's improvement as an artist it's inspirational.
  • Those Rumbling pages are so gorgeous they make me wanna say "Kill them all, Eren ! Destroy the fucking world !"
  • All of those double-page spreads were pretty fantastic but I have to say there's nothing quite like the chill that runs down your spine when you see all those colossals emerging from the smoke and the mist, where you see for the first time how huge and terrible they are (and also when you realise the first line of defense is already down). I had legit goosebumps.
  • Mappa has their work cut out for themselves
CHAPTER 130 MARKS THE END OF A VOLUME, WHICH HAS BEEN FILLED WITH ALLIANCE-FOCUSED CHAPTERS. WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS NOW THAT WE'VE FINALLY RETURNED TO EREN?

After six consecutive chapters focusing on the alliance with no Eren, the majority of you (57.6%) are relieved to finally move past them, though have enjoyed the recent chapters, with 20.4% being completely over the alliance. 7.4% say they were originally sceptical but the character have grown on them, and 14.6% are open to more chapters just focused on the alliance.
  • i wanted more on the alliance, not flashbacks smh
  • it was something enjoyable after a while. Especially 126 made me grimace all over the volume till 130 came up. Not saying I was waiting for Eren but it was so cheesy.
  • Eren chapters are written worse than Alliance ones
  • This chapter single handedly made up for the below average, cringe-inducing chapters 126-129 Alliance bullshit. I have faith Isayama will create a very satisfying ending for this series now.
  • This chapter was legit a great way to end the volume off, it truly feels like its really the beginning of the end
DESCRIBE THIS CHAPTER IN ONE WORD
The top 5 write-ins are below, followed by the average chapter score for each description. This months’ average chapter score was 4.59.
  1. Amazing [4.89]
  2. Epic [4.84]
  3. Eren/Ereh [4.69]
  4. Rumbling [4.46]
  5. Confusing [3.88]
Honorable mention: Ragnarok
We’d also like to mention that there were a lot of write-ins related to genitals and coitus… seems like y’all were really hyped up by that first fanlation >.>
WHAT ARE YOU MOST HOPING TO SEE NEXT CHAPTER?

https://preview.redd.it/t8gqprjhgnc51.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=d388f3bfcc747e7da4caa154a2ca8b04f65715e1
Stay tuned!
  • Where the fuck is Zeke
  • WHERE. IS. LEVI.
  • i want more eren, historia and zeke. They're interesting. I don't care about the alliance.
  • "Zekey-dekey-doo, where are you?" ...I'm so done with you guys.
  • I expect in the next chapter something more around the alliance and maybe (hopefully) Floch's comeback!
  • Enough of Hisu, she is just a side character.
  • Want more Rumbling
  • All I can say is, I'm beyond anxious to see how the series ends, and it's eating me up inside.

Details of the five police visits before the bodies were discovered

Details of the five police visits before the bodies were discovered
55 boulevard Robert-Schuman

A disturbing disappearance

Nantes, boulevard Schuman, Wednesday April 13, 2011, eight days earlier. The shutters on 55 have been closed for several days. To the right of the front door, in an empty space framed by two hooks that supported a mailbox, a piece of white paper is fixed to the wall with an orange-colored tape. A typed message: “Return all mail to senders. Thank you.” Local residents have already noted these two abnormalities. Accustomed to walking past a house with shutters always open, this message intended for the postman seems very strange to them.
Located north of Nantes, this bourgeois house is adjoined with numbers 57 on its right and 53 on its left by three of its sides: facade, walls, and garden. It is in the heart of the residential district of Breil-Barberie, a rather lively area with many passing people day and night. Along Boulevard Schuman, imposing gates conceal beautiful wooded properties. In this spring of 2011, many small local shops are open – a hair salon, a sewing store, a bar where locals bet on horse races - there is a certain sweetness of life here.
At night, the scene changes under the very windows of 55: prostitutes, essentially of African origin, roam the sidewalks, looking for customers. Sometimes, this nocturnal “animation” degenerates into uproar.
On the neighboring Boulevard des Américains, Agnès Dupont de Ligonnès’ car, a Golf convertible, attracts the attention of a neighbor. The vehicle has not moved for several days, which is unusual. She testified to French radio station, RTL: “The house was closed and there was this inscription on the mailbox, ‘return to senders,’ which had intrigued me. [...] I always hoped that this house would reopen, but that didn’t happen. On Wednesday [the 13th], the postman came by, and I said to him, ‘It’s not worth putting mail at the neighbors at 55. The mailbox is closed.’ He said to me, ‘Really? I’m not surprised. They haven’t paid the recommandés (a special tax which guarantees mail delivery) for a while.’ It bothered me. I had a really bad feeling deep inside... I didn’t know why, but it made me anxious. I called the police.”

Agnès de Ligonnès abandoned car
This April 13, surprising information circulates in the neighborhood and fuels conversations. Persistent rumors come back from La Perverie-Sacré-Coeur, Anne and Benoît Dupont de Ligonnès’ school located on rue de la Perverie, a little east of boulevard Schuman. Since April 4, no one at the middle school or high school had seen them. Teachers and classmates are worried about them. One of them, who had loaned his iPod to Benoît, tried to reach him by phone in order to get it back, but there was no answer. Other friends passed in front of 55 only to find the door is closed.
As for the Blanche-de-Castille Catholic school complex where Agnès works, the news is hardly more reassuring: the family has apparently left in a hurry... for Australia.

A letter of departure for the United States

Four days earlier, Saturday, April 9, a member of Agnès’ family called the police to alert them to the receipt of a very peculiar and rather alarming letter. Suffice to say the interlocutor is not taken seriously by the police station.
This person, however trustworthy, reiterates his concern the following Monday, April 11 with the Nantes magistrates. The reaction in the prosecutor’s office at TGI (Tribunal de Grande Instance) of Nantes is extremely cautious. The family member is told that the Dupont de Ligonnès couple is of age, so there is no reason to worry so much.
The content of this letter, authored by Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès, is far from commonplace:
Nantes, April 8. Hi everyone! Mega surprise: we left for the USA in an emergency, under very special conditions. It will no longer be possible for us to communicate with you otherwise (no emails, SMS, or telephone) for a few years due to security reasons.
He said he was an American spy recruited by the DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) and infiltrated the world of French nightclubs to recover information on drug trafficking and money laundering. And continues:
With the information I have collected for seven years, I have become an essential witness in a future trial involving senior officials in the international drug trade.
According to him, this risky mission had become complicated:
For some time, there were indications that I had been spotted... The situation therefore became dangerous for us here and necessitated taking emergency measures.
He then details “the federal witness protection program, from which he and his family benefit since they are already on American soil, transferred under a new identity, which must obviously remain secret,” and insists:
The official version is that we were transferred to Australia for professional reasons without further details. It would be good to circulate this false information on Facebook and other networks. [...] They tell us that it will be possible, in a certain time, to send you information by mail: we have chosen Emmanuel [Xavier’s best friend, Ed.] as the centralizer because he has the advantage of knowing just about everyone. He will receive the letters to communicate to you. He will receive instructions in due course.
“The house key is hidden outside in the EDF counter, which opens with anything (car key, screwdriver, knife),” adds Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès, alias XDDL, to allow his relatives to carry out the tasks he entrusts to them. The father of the family indeed gives instructions to everyone: sell certain furniture and cars, organize the inventory of fixtures before May 31… These are all elements that are not carefully examined by the investigators at that time.
The main message, though it is extraordinarily bizarre, is pretty clear: the father of the family says he is a spy in danger. Thanks to the American government, he was able to shelter his family in the United States. The letter ends thus:
We will have so much to tell you later! The hard part will be getting used to our new names!

The \"Letter to Nine\" sent by XDDL
By Wednesday, April 13, the police are already aware of this letter. They met with the director of La Perverie in the morning, who informed them of the letter they received that announced a departure after an emergency transfer to Australia - the “official version therefore.”
The manager of the Pizza Tempo pizzeria, a few meters from the family home, indicates that he too received a handwritten letter dated April 4, signed by Arthur, the eldest son and a casual employee in his business. In his letter, the young man says he can no longer “continue to perform his duties.” He “submits his resignation and renounces all compensation and any salary… following the transfer of his father to Australia.” This must be the reason why Arthur did not come to collect his pay as he usually did every month.
The announcement of this sudden departure on the other side of the world leaves the manager perplexed. This feeling is widely shared by the professional and personal entourage of the family.
This accumulation of testimony prompted investigators to search the unoccupied house at 55 boulevard Schuman for the first time. The visit takes place that day at 2:45 p.m. Brigadier-in-Chief, Michel M., notes that the shutters are closed. He calls on the fire brigade to enter the house. The residence is well ventilated. The electricity is still working. The accommodation is still furnished. Upstairs, the presence of suitcases suggests a hasty departure. Nothing else to report.
A second police visit is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on Friday, April 15, 2011. Brigadier-in-Chief Michel B. arrives at the entrance to 55. He contacts one of the neighbors, Dr. Alain P., and asks to pass through his adjoining garden in order to reach that of the Dupont de Ligonnès by means of a ladder. From the back of the house, the policeman walks on the yard, crosses it, access the terrace, and then enters the kitchen.
On a buffet, they find medical equipment, car keys, and registration cards. The latter correspond to those of a Citroën Xantia and a Golf. The policeman also comes across a hand-scribbled note:
Sorry, we didn’t have time to bring the bags of shoes to the Red Cross. It’s not far. Just put them next to the garment containers. See attached map.

The state of the home seemed to support the story of a speedy departure.
There is also a Finaref bank document and underneath a key a post-it that reads: “Keys to the cellar.” The investigator seizes the key and goes down to visit this place under the terrace. During this second visit, like the previous one, nothing seemed abnormal.
The investigation continues, and it will see a clear evolution in the following hours. Around 5 p.m., the Nantes public prosecutor’s office asked the police to investigate the Family Allowance Fund and wished to know the geolocation of the Dupont de Ligonnès couple’s mobile phones. Also, the two names of Xavier and Agnès Dupont de Ligonnès are entered in the National Register of wanted persons.
At the same time, a Nantes police officer takes his phone and calls the two cellphones belonging to Agnès and Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès. Each time, the investigator finds the calls go straight to voicemail without ringing. On the two lines, the policeman leaves a message with his name, his rank, his contact details, as well as the reason for his call, requesting to be contacted as soon as possible.
Shortly before 6 p.m., the investigators are once again informed of the “American track” by a couple of Nantes friends, Raymond and Nathalie K., who are also recipients of the “confidential” letter written by Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès. Mrs. K. takes the initiative to call the police. She understands that her friends have gone abroad and wants to reassure the police... who do not need any additional information, they already know the exact content of this letter.
On Saturday, April 16, 2011, at 10:30 a.m., Nathalie K. was nevertheless summoned and heard by the police. She explains, this time orally, that she received this letter on April 9. Then she revealed being a friend of the Dupont de Ligonnès family. She has not seen Agnès since March 29. A detail: her son Philippe, also a friend of Thomas Dupont de Ligonnès, chatted last Sunday (April 10) on the porch of 55 with a friend of XDDL named Emmanuel. She describes the man as also upset by the sudden departure of the whole family from abroad.
At the end of this interview, the police proceed in sequence: they first meet one of Xavier’s sisters, Christine Dupont de Ligonnès, as well as his mother, Geneviève, who share an apartment in Versailles. They ask for confirmation that this letter has been received. After a period of so-called “emotional” wait time, they respond in the affirmative. This letter is also accompanied by a personalized note signed by Xavier.
The police then call the other sister of XDDL: Véronique. She is in the Republic of Congo, where she lives part of the year. She does not believe in the contents of this mailing at all, but she does not show concern.
Among the other recipients of the letter is a key person, whom the investigators summon to their office: Emmanuel T., appointed by Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès himself as the “centralizer.”
The interview is directed by Anne-Sophie R., the same policewoman who will be the impetus for the discovery of the bodies on April 21. The testimony of the missing father’s best friend is rich in new information. He explains that he discovered this famous mail in the mailbox of his Nantes home, placed in an unstamped envelope, on Saturday, April 9 around noon. “Yes, I believed this letter… or more precisely, in hindsight, wanted to believe it,” admits Emmanuel.
This missive is also accompanied by two small personalized notes signed Xavier. On the first, we read affectionate words... and precise instructions:
My old friend, we are going to spend time (for the first time in 37 years) a few years without seeing each other or calling or writing back and forth: it’s going to be weird! Will have to get used to it! I’ll let you take care of a small “administrative” part, once Cédric has done the “manual” part. Everyone has their own domain! LOL. There may be no deposit to recover because the rent for April will surely not be taken. We have withdrawn the max on Agnès’ account before leaving. As for the files in progress (debts that you know about, no more worries. Everything will fall into the water…) LOL Stay there until I come back. I need you. I was not in Savoy this week, but in Paris with the Americans. I came home at night, and we only had one day to pack up and start emptying the house! Hot! Warn Ben that we will not come to make the baptism of shooting planned on the 9. I kiss you very hard. Xav.
Then a second note:
Emmanuel, here are the different files. […] Thank you for taking care of all of this [the termination of various subscriptions and the return of medical equipment used by Agnès for sleep apnea, Ed]. When Cédric and his friends have emptied the house, could you find a cleaning lady? I have left 50 euros in an envelope to pay for it. It is not a matter of cleaning thoroughly but of vacuuming each room.
Emmanuel T. goes immediately to 55 on Saturday, April 9, and notes that the sets of keys to the house are not yet deposited in the hiding place indicated by Xavier in his letter. In the utility meter box, a new handwritten note mentions that the keys will be placed there overnight.
On Sunday, April 10 at 5 p.m., Emmanuel T. returns to the scene. The keys to the house are there. They are accompanied by another note, this time type-written: “Some keys do not work well. You have to wiggle them to open the door. Always leave a set of keys in the hiding place so that others can enter.” He meets Nathalie K.’s son, Philippe, in front of the house, and they chat for a few seconds.
Emmanuel then explains to the police: “I entered the house, but I was afraid of a family drama. His DEA story seemed unimaginable to me. I inspected the house. I didn’t see any damage.” Then he adds: “I returned on Monday, April 11 with Cédric M. I had just got the note that Xavier sent me, asking me to get a housekeeper and ensure the inventory of fixtures. […] I had a house key. I had other keys to my home that I did not want to leave in the EDF meter.”
Sunday, April 17, 2011. Investigators spread their investigations in all directions. Thus, a decision was made to contact the Urssaf (the French distribution system for Social Security benefits); the medical community was also contacted on this day to find out if members of the family could have been the subject of any psychiatric consultations. In another arm of the investigation, two requisitions are ordered from a telephone company to list all the terminals activated by the mobile phones of Xavier and Agnès Dupont de Ligonnès since April 1.
Monday, April 18. The news of the family’s disappearance begins to spread in the city of Nantes, even if the news of the day is more marked by a completely different matter: the arrests of a sect of Saint-Brévin guru and his partner, indicted for rape and sexual assault during a meeting with two of their disciples.
Local journalists are starting to take a closer look at the Dupont de Ligonnès family. They are conducting the very first neighborhood interviews. Meanwhile, the police have been investigating all of the family’s financial movements since April 3, questioning each of the banking establishments where the accounts are open.

A gun in inheritance

At noon, Mathieu Fohlen, deputy public prosecutor, orders the Nantes judicial police to carry out a new visit to 55. They are charged with retrieving photographs of the family members and, above all, a gun! Investigators know now that Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès has a weapon. It is a Unique brand 22 semi-automatic long rifle, which he inherited from his father, who died less than three months previously on January 20, 2011.
This third search lasts an hour and a quarter, between 4:30 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. very precisely. It takes place with the same neighbor doctor as a witness. But, this time, the investigators do not need to call the firemen to enter the house: Emmanuel T., Xavier’s friend, gave them a set of keys.
Two policewomen, Nathalie P. and Anne-Sophie R., carry out meticulous inspection work. Each detail could be crucial. Everything is documented and video-recorded with precision: garbage bags full of shoes, an empty fridge, the presence of a few jars of jam, a tidy dishwasher… On the kitchen floor, they note the presence of a still damp mop and a bottle of cleansing agent placed on the table next to the cellar key. They notice that a map of France is taped to a wall. Cities are circled with felt-tip pen: La Rochelle, Nice, Tarbes, Pau, Auxerre, Aix, Perpignan.

A bottle of Ajax, three-quarters full, is noted on the kitchen counter.
In the living room, an intact chess set sits on a trunk acting as a table. On the sofas, three guitars are stored in their cases. Empty photo frames are scattered on the ground.
The two women go up to the second floor. In the master bedroom, two single beds devoid of sheets are pushed together. A collection of music occupies a large part of the room. In the other bedrooms, the mattresses are also bare - no more sheets or quilts. They notice the presence of a brownish spot on the mattress of one of the children’s beds.
The inspectors backtrack and return to a detail already noted in the kitchen. They state: “The mop is wet with cleanser.”
A mop that is still damp is noted in the kitchen during the third search of the house
They then head out onto the terrace and descend into the yard. “The ground is dirt. Let’s go back to the terrace where we have to bend in half to access the cellar where boxes are stored.” These twenty boxes are filled with bundles of “Crystal” scratch tickets from Xavier’s business.
This third visit does not fulfill its objective: we still have no news of the missing family, and the police have found neither photos nor weapons.
Tuesday April 19, 2011. A new interview of Emmanuel T., around is scheduled for 11 a.m. The latter came to return the last 55 key that he had in his possession- he handed over two more the previous weekend. Cédric M. also has two. A total of five keys will therefore be entered into evidence.
Then, in answering the investigators’ questions, Emmanuel T. made a disturbing revelation: “During our visit to Xavier’s, Monday, April 11 between 4 and 4:30 p.m., Cédric and I went out in the yard. I took a half-opened bottle of Frontignan from the fridge and poured a glass of it, which I left on the terrace table. Cédric told me that he had forgotten his cigarettes.” What an amazing vision of two friends smoking and drinking only a few meters above the two graves where the bodies will be discovered!
Also on April 19, the police gathered elements relating to the family’s heritage. Research is being done to find out if Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès has a boat location along the Erdre River in Nantes. Information is taken from the harbor office of Nantes Métropole. The police have, for the first time, access to the list of the family’s bank accounts, which has just been sent to them. Xavier, personally or professionally, and Agnès have opened numerous accounts in several establishments. And they’re all in the red right now…
The two Labradors of the Dupont de Ligonnès family did not escape the investigators either. Research is being carried out to find out whether the Humane Society has recently taken charge of two new dogs. But they come to nothing: no trace of Jules and Léon, even in the smallest kennel of the Nantes region.

The trigger

Wednesday, April 20, 2011. The family has been actively sought for a week now, and the Nantes press is putting pressure on the floor of the TGI of Nantes. To respond to journalists’ requests, Xavier Ronsin, prosecutor, decides to schedule a press conference at the courthouse for 10:30 a.m. the next day.
But what will the he be able to say in concrete terms? Can he make public the various letters received and present the proposed scenarios, including that of a spy of French nationality working on behalf the US government in the context of international drug trafficking exfiltrated by the United States to a federal witness protection program? One can imagine how perplexing this must have been for the prosecutor. Within the TGI, we understand that it is especially important to highlight the investigation, mainly within the house.
Thus, a fourth home visit is made. This time, it takes place at 10 a.m. in the presence of a magistrate, Mathieu Fohlen. He is accompanied by some investigators from the PJ, including Anne-Sophie R., who has already entered the home twice. Despite the precise description made two days earlier on April 18, they decided to start again from scratch.
What did the magistrate and the police note on April 20? “The general appearance of the house gives the impression of a hasty departure.” They discover a Fichet brand safe key. Several objects and documents are placed under seal, including papers linked to other telephone subscriptions.
In the dishwasher, there are six large and three small plates, cups, and bowls. Everything is clean. The presence of a three-quarter full bottle of a yellow Ajax brand cleanser is noted in the kitchen as is a red cleaning bucket on the ground containing flexible broom that is still wet.
On the refrigerator, there is a telephone number scribbled of someone named D., located in Spain. On the table is a big, old-looking key to the cellar.
The decision was made to sweep the kitchen with Crimescope and Bluestar. These two products are often used in criminal cases to detect traces of blood. The Crimescope is a powerful projector capable of producing very pure lights of varying colors. It is used in grazing white light to look for fibers or hair or, in blue light projected perpendicular on the ground, for traces of DNA (blood, sperm, saliva...).
Bluestar, on the other hand, reveals traces of blood that has been washed, erased, or invisible to the naked eye, but it does not alter the DNA of the blood revealed. The Bluestar reacts positively on the entire tiled kitchen floor, on the broom, and inside the bucket. For the investigators, this reaction should be taken with caution because the Bluestar occasionally gives a false positive.
On a light wooden chair and on a table leg, ten brownish stains, which appear to have been wiped off and could be blood, are also noted. They have an average diameter of half a centimeter.
On a mattress, in one of the bedrooms, a very old blood stain, dry and odorless, is also noted – probably from a nosebleed.
Room after room, the police collect as much information as possible: toothbrushes and razors from the bathroom are placed under seal along with a glass found on a dresser in a bedroom.
Investigators are now able to identify the names of the occupants of the five bedrooms. On the first floor, the bedroom opposite the narrow staircase is that of Arthur; the one on the right, next to the bathroom, is occupied by Anne. On the second floor, the room opposite the staircase is attributed to Thomas; the one on the right, to Benoît. The last is the parents’ bedroom.
The investigators ended their search by searching one of the couple’s cars, which was parked nearby. In the glove compartment, they find the trace of an old bank document concerning Arthur, but this paper does not present anything of interest.
On the other hand, the attention of the investigators focuses on the father’s professional life. They learn that he manages a company, SelRef, based in Pornic, a coastal town 30 miles from Nantes. On site, they go to the obvious: the company appears to be no more than a post office box, and yet Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès, they discover, has not set foot at this address since 2003 or 2004. As for the company’s mail, it has been redirected to 55 boulevard Schuman.
Interviews of relatives are also scheduled, including that of Raymond K., the husband of Nathalie K., already heard on April 16. But nothing particularly important emerges from this mid-afternoon interview.
A few minutes later, at around 4:40 p.m., however, significant information reached the police: the requested report of bank transactions pointed to purchases and expenses made by Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès over the past few days. This information from the banks delivers vital clues: one of the bank cards was used recently to purchase trash bags, adhesive tape, quick cement, and lime. These purchases were made in multiple stores in the suburbs of Nantes. In addition, a card was used to pay a hotel bill in Vaucluse on April 13, and a cash withdrawal of 30 euros was made in the Var, on April 14.
On April 20, the Nantes prosecutor announces the opening of an investigation for a “disturbing disappearance.” Then, a new home visit is scheduled for the 21st. These purchases are disturbing, especially that of lime. It is this last element that will trigger excavations under the terrace because the police know that quicklime is often used for the burial of corpses…

Beginning of criminal investigation

Nantes police station, Thursday April 21, 11:50 a.m.
At the very moment when the forensics team in white coats are busy digging up the first body - and avoiding the contamination of the “frozen” - their colleagues from the judicial branch continue their investigations. Since 10:30 a.m., they are no longer working on a disappearance, but on a crime.
All the steps are taken precisely and methodically.
They immediately interviewed Cédric M., a friend of Xavier’s, a recipient of one of the seven letters sent to relatives, and who entered inside the house ten days earlier with Emmanuel. A garage owner in Morbihan, Cédric very simply recounts what he did on April 11 around 4 p.m. He made the complete tour of Xavier’s house while Emmanuel did not want to go upstairs. He did indeed forget a pack of cigarettes on a table and confirms that Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès had asked him to empty the house.
Then Cédric M., quite spontaneously, threw to the investigators that upon arriving to the station, he heard on Radio France and on RTL that bones had been found in the garden. For him, it is just sensationalist media: “People eat up this crap! They must have been bones that the dogs buried...”
Even if research is now launched all over the region, the Nantes police are concentrating on interviewing “key witnesses.” They want to collect as many pieces of the criminal puzzle as they can. All bank traces received the day before are carefully analyzed. Agnès’ account cards also: a purchase on April 5 at 8 p.m. at a Carrefour Market route de Vannes; a withdrawal of 300 euros on April 7at 4:24 p.m., and a card payment in the amount of 166 euros on April 12 at 6:44 p.m. at the Auberge de Cassagne in Pontet in the Vaucluse.
These scattered elements arrive en masse at the Nantes police station shortly before noon on April 21, just as the extraction of the first body is taking place under the terrace of 55.
Emmanuel T., the best friend of the father who cannot be found, is interviewed a third time. This 51-year-old Dunkerquois without a professional occupation worked until 2009 as a sales manager in industrial cuisine with the Great West company. He knew Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès since the age of 13 or 14 in 1974. With Xavier and another mutual friend, Michel R., who lives near Montpellier, they left for the United States together in the 1980s.
Emmanuel T. insisted on the United States, and in particular on Florida, a state that attracted Xavier enormously. Then, answering the questions, he recalls without going into much detail the extramarital affairs that his friend had confided to him. He reveals that Xavier had affairs with two women named Catherine, one living in Ile-de-France, the other in Savoy.
Then, he confirms that Xavier had just received a letter from the court and asked if it was possible to redirect his mail to Emmanuel’s home, which he agreed to. During the discussion with the investigators, Emmanuel T., whom we imagine is disturbed by this new interview, remembers: “Xavier told me without joking that with the financial difficulties he encountered he could envision “taking the whole family into a definitive solution.”
Emmanuel knows his friend’s financial difficulties. He knows that Xavier owes a lot of money and is unable to repay. Emmanuel says he has already loaned him between 5,000 and 6,000 euros himself. Then, he adds this last disturbing element: just like Michel R., their mutual friend, he received an email with the photo of the Statue of Liberty in the United States with no other indication than this one: “We permanently cease all communication.”
Friday April 22, 2011. Who better than his best friends to know Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès? On this day of the autopsy of the bodies, around 11 a.m., the investigators received a call from Michel R., another one of the recipients of Xavier’s letter referring to his departure for the United States.
Michel R. is not just a simple collaborator of Xavier within La Route des Commercieaux, one of his activities; he is a close friend with whom the wanted father shared many good times. They have known each other for over thirty years.
Michel R. spontaneously explains to the investigators that he spoke with his friend, Xavier, on April 7. He also sent photos on the 5th, dating from a trip they had made together in the United States in the 1980s. He indicated that like Emmanuel T., he had recently received via the Internet a photo of the Statue of Liberty accompanied by this note: “We are definitively ceasing all communication.” Then Michel R. in turn confirms that his friend Xavier is a highly intelligent man. Thus, he considers that during his descent into the South, his friend must have voluntarily used the bank card to locate him, while he had taken care to no longer use the Internet, his cell phone, nor those of his family.
The police know that Michel R. and Emmanuel T. have spoken on the phone many times since they received Xavier’s letter of departure.
Armed with this information, Emmanuel T. was heard again at the beginning of the afternoon. The objective of the investigators is to deepen certain points, in particular on a weapon in Xavier’s possession.
They get the confirmation. “Yes, he inherited from his father a 22 long rifle. Xavier used this weapon to shoot target-practice at a balloon in his back yard. In order to avoid making noise and not to annoy the neighbors, Xavier had purchased a silencer.” The investigation confirms this: Xavier was shooting at the Jonelière stand in Nantes with his best friend Emmanuel. “The last time I saw him was at the shooting range on April 1 around 6 to 6.30 p.m., and with Agnès, it was March 11 at the Nantes restaurant, La Belle Équipe.”
The police are convinced of this: Emmanuel T. knows a lot… They continue the investigation by organizing a search of his home. It takes place between noon and 2 p.m., rue Lavoisière. The neighbors did not fail to notice this police presence. The investigators go directly to the third floor and thoroughly search the F2 apartment where Emmanuel T. resides. They also opened his personal safe, which contained a small wad of bills, his shooting license, and personal papers. They learned that Emmanuel T. owns a 357 Magnum Smith & Wesson revolver. The police will leave with a laptop and a mini-pc under their arm, but also with a file seized from the trunk of his Renault Laguna. This file, forty-four sheets thick, belongs to one of Xavier’s “conquests.” “It was Xavier who asked me to keep this document, which I did,” explains Emmanuel, upset, thinking about his 30-year-old friendship with his mate, Xavier. “I can imagine everything: suicide, hit man…” In this file, confidential documents reveal the existence of a financial conflict between Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès and one of his mistresses.
On April 22, interviews are increasing in Nantes, but also throughout the region. Everyone wants to bring their piece to the puzzle taking shape around this complex matter. Elements, more or less verifiable, are provided on all subjects. Here are four examples, among the dozens of testimonies that have been collected:
  1. Frédéric L., Benoît’s godfather, spontaneously goes to the police station in Arles, where he resides, to explain that he did not see Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès for a long time and that Xavier has a lot of contacts in the United States.
  2. At 12 o’clock, a neighbor of the boulevard Schuman remembers that one night, between midnight and 2 a.m., he heard ten detonations at an extraordinarily regular rate. But this witness no longer remembers the precise date of these shots...
  3. At 3 p.m., a close relative of the family comes to Nanterre and supports two points hitherto unknown to the investigators: Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès’ mistress would be called Claudia, and XDDL would also be an alcoholic.
  4. At 4:45 p.m., a gunsmith from Nantes remember perfectly that two months early, the father of the family, Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès, called himself “sniper priest” (!), and explained that his family was in danger of death. He wanted to buy a handgun to defend himself from a big burly person that threatened him...
Anyway, the investigators will learn that Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès bought a silencer for his 22 long rifle and on March 12, 2011 and ammunition in another armory located in the city center of Nantes.
The police send all this information and considerations, however surprising they may be, to the TGI of Nantes in charge of sorting them out.
On April 23, Xavier Ronsin again appeared before the press and declared “We can now speak of a methodical execution of Agnès Dupont de Ligonnès and her four children. Research has established that Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès had recently inherited a rifle from his father. The pursuit of his investigation and his testimony are obviously essential to precisely determine the causes of these five deaths.”
