One-Minute or Time-Based Chart . Time charts can be set for many different time frames. However, if you are using the chart for active trading you will probably want to focus on short periods. If you use a one-minute, two-minute, or five-minute chart, then a new price bar forms when the time period elapses. I would just like to tell all new forex traders who are trying to make money from trading to stop using 1min, 5 min, 15 min or 30 min for trading. If you want to be successful in forex trading use 4 hr charts with daily charts as confirmation. Currently I am trading using stochastics 8,3,3 on MT4. The lower time frame like the 1 minute time frame is just simply too volatile and can change almost instantly. Try using on higher time frames like the 4 hour time frame or at least the 1 hour time frame as it provides a better indication of the strength and direction of the trend.
