Tomorrow's Horse Racing Racecards & Meetings: Racing TV

Cheltenham starts tomorrow, Here's a short guide to Matched Betting for newbies.

EDIT: Updating every day with new offers. New offers for today in the comments!
The Cheltenham festival is far and away the biggest event of the year for Match betting, You can potentially make £100s of Pounds. When I say potentially, I don't mean by luck or that there's a good possibility, I mean the money is literally there to be taken. The reason for this is the scale of this event, The bookmakers are all competing with eachother to get the most customers, which means they will be giving a lot of free bets and offering a whole plethora of promotions. This is great if you are completely new to Match betting, because on top of the welcome offers, you will also get the additional offers every day during Cheltenham
I put this guide out there a few weeks back, and I'm putting it out there once more because It got a good response and really seemed to help people understand the basics. For those of you who are new to this and are planning on turing a profit at Chetelham over the next four days, I would encourage you to read this guide and also take a look at the comments on my previous two posts because a lot of common questions are answered Here. (For anyone who noticed, you will see that I am using a different reddit account this time, this is a long story involving a family gathering, alcohol and my younger cousin having a digital joyride on my open laptop)
Before you read any further I want to say, and this is really something to be considered: If you have a history with Gambling, Do not take part in match betting. Although it is not actually Gambling because every bet you make is "Matched" on the exchange, using betting sites is not a good idea, the tempation is not something you need.

Ok so here is the Guide, I hope it will Help you on your endeavours:
I was sceptical as hell about Match betting because a friend showed me the Facebook groups and it just looked like a giant gambling pyramid scheme. It turns out there is a decent chunk of change to be made from it, you just need to follow the guides and never ever actually gamble with your money.
Never ever Gamble? Yes That's right, you are going to be using Gambling sites to complete the various offers, but the whole idea behind match betting is that every time you "make a bet", you match that same bet on the exchange. So for example, if I bet £10 for Real Madrid to Win on the Bookie Site at odds of 2.5, I then also make a Matched bet on the Exchange (This is a separate site such as Smarkets or Betfair) where I bet for Real Madrid not to win at odds of 2.5 (or as close as I can get to those odds). In this way I am covered in all outcomes, and it allows me to fulfill the requirements of the bookies offer (For example Bet £10 and get £30 in Free bets)
What's the difference between the Bookie Site and the Exchange? On the Exchange Site you are basically being the Bookie and just like a Bookie, you have liability. If I bet £10 and my bet wins at odds of 2.5 then I win £25, so the bookies liability for this bet is £15, the extra money that they would have to give me if I win. There are calculators on the Match betting sites which you can use to calculate what Liability you need to enter on the exchange each time you make your matched bet. There is also software to help you find what games have the closest odds on both the bookies and the exchange, which is very important.
What do I do when I get my free bets? It's the same process again, You find a game that has very close odds on both the bookies and the exchange ( You do this by using odds matching software, the site I use for this is called OddsMonkey). Only this time when you use the calculator to work out your liability, you will set it to "Free bets SNR" so it knows you are not using real money. It will tell you how much Liability to use in the exchange and off you go.
How does this make me money? The fact that you have a free bet to use is what makes you money, For example a £30 free bet at odds of 5.5 in the bookies will win you £135 (30x 4.5, because the original free bet stake of £30 is not returned to you). Now let's say that the closest odds I can find in the Exchange for the same game are 6.0, I will need a liability of £112.50 to match my free bet in the bookies ( I use the calculator on oddsmonkey to work this out)
£135- 112.50 = £22.50 in Profit.
Alternatively if my bet on the exchange wins, I will lose the free bet of £30 (but it's not actually a loss to me because It's not real money) and I will win £22.50 on the exchange. Either way, I make a Profit of £22.50
What about providing card details? You can use a separate, virtual bank account for all your match betting, In this way your main banking information is not shared with any of the sites you sign up to. A good one to use is Revolut, the app is easy to use and it only takes 5 minutes to open an account. It's free to open an account and they actually give you a welcome bonus if you sign up through a referral link
Unfortunately my referral has expired. You can probably find a fresh one in the banking megathread, or perhaps someone will post one here.
Non Referral (No £7): https://www.revolut.com/
Where can I learn to do it? There are some sites that you have to pay a monthly subscription to but I found one called Team Profit that is free and has a full guide of all the different offers you can complete.
I worked my way down through the list of offers, nice and handy, and having completed 20 offers at 15 minutes per offer, I came out at £470 for 5 hours total of work.
I you are new to this site and are opening a free account I would really appreciate if you use my Referral (£10 )
Here is the non referral link to the page with all the offers: https://www.teamprofit.com/welcome-offers-list
TLDR: You do not need to "gamble" to match bet, in fact by definition, the bet you make is "matched" on the exchange, so it is not a gamble in any sense.
I hope this guide helps and hopefully might even get a few people out of a fix this month with bills, rent etc.
Thanks for Reading.

Cheltenham offers for Today (Friday 13th) Last Day!

So This is a list of offers for today (Friday the 13th of March). Final Day of Cheltenham.
First Race is at 13:30. Last Race is at 17:30
I noticed that some people are using the free bets just by themselves without doing match betting, Obviously that's up to you but once again for anyone who wants to keep all their bets as safe profit, you can take a look at the guide to brush up on how to do it. Match betting is something you can do all year round and if you are new to it, there is £500 pounds profit for 4/5 hours work using this guide.
Aside from that, It's actually been great seeing so many people making some profit these days. A lot of people just taking a punt on the risk free bets and doing really well. Anyway, Here is the final list of offers:
Today's Offers:
Betfair: Betfair are offering their £20 Free bet today again for existing customers! It's a little different today. You have to make a £20 Back Bet (Blue odds) on the exchange on the 16:10 Race. When your bet settles you will receive a £20 Free bet which you can use exclusively to bet on Chelsea to win their game tomorrow. Offer has been removed by Betfair because the match is almost definitely going to be called off.
Betfair: It's worth mentioning that new customers to the site get a £20 risk free bet when they sign up through this Referral link here.
Now you will see that in all the races today, the most likely horse to win still has very high odds (For example in the 14:10 Race, the horse with the lowest odds is 8.0). So if I was you I would put £20 on the top horse from any of today's races. You will see two odds next to each horse on the exchange, one blue and one pink. Blue is betting for the horse to win, Pink is to bet against that horse to win. You are betting on blue.
If you lose you get your money Back, if you win then it's going to be between £60-£140 return in profit. So it's totally risk free.
Betfred: New customers: Offering £40 in free bets for new customers. use code CHELT40 to sign up. You have to place a £10 bet on any race in Cheltenham to qualify.
Existing customers: Money back as a free bet of £10 if your horse comes 2nd or 3rd in the first race
Paddy Power are offering a £10 Free bet on the 13:30 if your horse comes in 2nd, 3rd or 4th. You have to bet £10 on the horse to get the £10 Free bet. You can also sign up through this link to get another £10 free bet to use. You will need to bet £10 at odds of 1.5 in order to get the free bet, but you will do that anyway because all odds for all horses are above this. So a Total of £20 free bets if you are a new customer
Skybet: Offering a £10 Cash Refund on the 13:30 race if your horse comes 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th
BetUK: Offering a £10 risk free bet on the 15:30 if your horse does not win.
Bethard: Offering up to a £20 refund if your horse comes 2nd/3rd in the first race. You just need to make a £5 bet to Qualify
William Hill: Offering a £10 cash refund on every race of the day if your horse comes in second...Note that odds must be at 4.0 or greater or it does not count!
Ladbrokes: Offering a free £1 bet. You just have to log in to claim it. Obviously this bet is too small to match, I just put it on a horse with odds of 13.0 and hoping for the best.
888Sport: Offering a 100% Odds boost on bets up to £5.
Coral: Bet £10 on the 13:30 race and get a £5 free bet.

I'm going to update this list with any new offers that I see.
I hope this is of help to some people.
Thanks for reading

Cheltenham 2019 - Thursday Bets

JLT.

Horses that win the JLT tend to run to a performance level of 155 and bring in a performance level of about 150. They need to have already shown a good level of form while still having a small amount of improvement in them. Like the other novice races at this years’ festival, there are not many coming in here with the form usually required to win this, which makes the race seemingly lacking in quality but at least an interesting betting heat. The current 11/4 favourite is Defi Du Seuil, a Grade 1 winner who loves Cheltenham and is a solid proposition at the front of the market, but I do think he is beatable (and I say that as somebody who loves the horse - he was my desktop wallpaper for ages!). His Official Rating of 151 accurately rates him, but he probably doesn't have as much in hand over the field as such odds suggest. He hasn’t totally convinced me with his jumping, and though I would not doubt he’s got the biggest engine in here, a mistake could cost him this. Lostintranslation has faced Defi Du Seuil in two attempts, but he needed a soft lead and weight in order to beat him the first time. Though you have to respect these two, but I think they are first and second favourite by default and I would be surprised if the finish tomorrow is between these two.
There seems to be a line of thought that Voix Du Reve is Ruby’s chosen ride, but the Arkle winner’s owners, Sullivan Bloodstock, seem to like keeping jockeys on horses. They let Paul Townend keep that ride on Tuesday, and I think they want to keep him on my fancy, Real Steel, here, so I think that Ruby couldn’t have got on him if he had wanted to! I do like Voix Du Reve, but he takes such a strong pull that it will take a brilliant ride for him to see out this trip. Real Steel has ‘only’ won a Beginners’ Chase and then a Rated Race, but both were good performances. The most recent of which he beat useful yardstick Landofhopeandglory (128) by 10 lengths and giving him 15 lbs, and did so with loads left in the tank, which should put Real Steel in the region of being a 150-rated chaser and wouldn’t give him too much to find with the market leaders, for all they bring graded form. He’s a very sound jumper I think he has been trained to peak for Cheltenham and Punchestown and should have plenty of scope for improvement. Ideally he would be coming in here with graded form lines, but then if he did we wouldn’t be getting 6/1 (8.80 on Betfair).

Pertemps.

This is the kind of race I’m happy to have two running for me, the first of which is A Toi Phil. He was a smart horse over fences, beating last year’s Ryanair winner Balko Des Flos in achieving Grade 2 success despite that horse having his ground and perfect conditions. He has posted a number of very smart figures in terms of Timeform Ratings and on the clock. At his best, he would comfortably be the best of this field, especially from a lenient mark of 146 - only two lbs above his qualifying mark for this race in Ireland. He has only ran over hurdles once for Gordon Elliott, which got him into this race, but he looked at home back over the smaller obstacles when running an eye-catching fourth place, despite late interference, carrying top weight and being held out the back of a slowly ran race - to make up the ground he did despite a 105% finishing speed suggests he’s in good order. He’ll like the rain that’s falling and I would trust Gordon to have him primed for this. I’m very happy to take 22/1.
The second horse I like is also trained is Thermistocles for Joseph O’Brien. I’ve seen one or two suggestions that he might want better ground than what he should be racing on today (soft, most likely), but he’s by Oscar, trained in Ireland and finished 3rd on heavy ground in a Maiden hurdle when giving three lbs for a three length loss to future Grade 1 winner Dortmund Park last season, so I don’t see the ground as being an issue. The key trial for this race seems to be the qualifier ran on 28th December at Leopardstown, in which Thermistocles finished a good 3rd. The winner, Cuneo, was good value for the win that day and looked a little green in front, but Joseph’s horse is now two lbs better off which means he’s weighted to turn that result around, and by racing more prominently than the eventual winner he was less ideally placed in a race ran at a very strong pace (97.3% finishing speed). He has been put away since then, and as we saw yesterday his trainer can get one ready for the festival. We know he gets this trip, and he is entitled to want every yard of it and further based on his pedigree. He’s a young, still improving horse and has the right profile for this. 14/1 is fair.

Ryanair.

Horses who win the Ryanair typically only need to run to their best in order to do so. The money is coming for Road To Respect and Monalee, but I think the former might be a good ground horse and better over further, and the latter just doesn’t strike me as a proper Grade 1 animal having done nothing of note on the clock nor looking as though he is capable of much more than he has done. If we take each horse in this field at their best form these days, I think Footpad is the one to be on. He hasn’t shown his best in two runs this season, but there are mitigating circumstances for both and I believe that he would not be coming here and be the choice of Ruby Walsh unless he was ready to do so (Footpad’s owners could easily have re-routed Top Notch to this). There has been criticism of Footpad’s novice form, particularly the horses he was beating, but he put up Timeform Ratings of 147, 158, 166, 172, 160, with the middle three of those clocking time-figures that were even better than the given form rating. He might not have beaten anything of note, but he never looked in danger of losing any of those races and won them by a combined 53 lengths. He stays this far, is versatile in terms of ground and jumps really well. I would have him as clear favourite and 7lbs clear of Road To Respect, so I’m more than happy to see him as 9/2 third favourite!

Stayers’.

I think that, like the JLT market, it’s somewhat blinkered into thinking this is a two-horse race between Faugheen and Paisley Park. At their best it would be, but Faugheen is now 11 and Paisley Park has had a long season, the rain might not be ideal for him and I think the market hasn’t factored in how important the trainers are at the Cheltenham Festival. His price of 7/4 is what I would take were he trained by Mullins or Henderson. Emma Lavelle is a good trainer, but there will be doubts she can deliver one in a Championship race until she actually has. The one I like against these is Bapaume. He has quietly been running some really good races this season against the best horses in Ireland, in races not run to suit him. He is a hold up horse who tends to be ridden very quietly, if not last, and who is often one of the last off the bridle. He was running a screamer on his seasonal reappearance in the Hatton’s Grace, which Apple’s Jade won by 20 lengths. He was held up off a less-than-even pace, and came into contention for 2nd place absolutely tanking before a mistake at the last hurdle cost him all of his momentum. It was then a similar story in the farcical Christmas Hurdle in which Apple’s Jade was allowed a very soft lead and allowed to storm home at a 113% finishing speed. This did not suit Bapaume, who was again held up off the pace and again made a mistake at the last to concede second place. In his next run, though, again run slowly at 108% finishing speed, Bapaume managed to grab second place, only held off by Gold Cup contender Presenting Percy. Unlike the three races he has contested in the run up, this race should have a really solid pace to it with Faugheen, Sam Spinner and Coquin Mans all ready to go forward. He’s only six-years-old, so is still developing and I think he is on the sort of upward curve required to run really well in this. He will need to take a big step forward again to challenge Paisley Park and Faugheen if they are both at their best, but he doesn’t deserve to be behind Supasundae, Black Op, Barcadys, Kilbricken Storm and Top Notch in the betting! 20/1 is just too big a price to ignore.

More to follow later this evening.

INNOCENT POSSUM'S PICKS:

Ok unlucky last week. Teams went behind early, somewhat killing the Premium bet. Then fought back too little, too late. While everyone else did their job... Onto this week!

This week it is the 1x2 ML Wins Market All of your support for what I do is greatly appreciated!
.

MY REASONING:

Unfortunately, I do not have time to do a full write up this week as I am up early tomorrow. Essentially, all 12 picks are games that have the potential to be goalfests. Weaker teams with a Home advantage or an opponent who is leaking goals in bad form. The 5 teams that have been selected for the main bet were picked based on 1 criteria. Since I always struggle to split the long list down to just 5 teams I decided to do this method. The 5 Main games are the 5 that have the most potential to be O1.5 FH. Even if that means one team scoring twice before HT, instead of BTTS.
.

MY BETS:

THANKS FOR READING!

PLEASE DO NOT BET ANY MORE THAN YOU CAN AFFORD TO LOSE!

Jose Mourinho has confirmed Matteo Darmian can leave Man Utd if a suitable bid comes in for him this summer.
Full-back Darmian has been linked with a return to Italy with either Inter Milan, Juventus or Napoli.
"Matteo wants to leave and I think when a player wants to leave, if the right offer arrives you have to try to be human and let the player follow his instinct but not at any price," he said after watching his side beat Milan on penalties on Wednesday night.
"And, until now, the offers we got for Matteo are not even close to being accepted."

PALACE MAKE £8.9M GONALONS OFFER

MOURINHO: LIVERPOOL HAVE TO WIN

Man Utd boss Jose Mourinho says Liverpool have to win something next season after their heavy summer of spending.
"Maybe this season finally you demand that they win," he said after watching his side beat Milan on penalties on Wednesday night.
"You, I think, you have to be fair and now you have to demand and say the team with investments, who are making investments that they started making last season, not just this season, last season.
"That you made in January, that you make now, that will probably be the record of the Premier League this season, I don't see another team getting close to that level of investment, a team that was a finalist in the Champions League, you have to say you are a big candidate.
"You have to win."

WATFORD JOIN REYES RACE

Watford are interested in Mexico international defender Diego Reyes, according to Sky sources.
However, no formal offer has been made for the player so far.

Newcastle and West Ham are two of a number of Premier League clubs who have also made an offer for the centre back.
07:42

POCH WON'T DISCUSS LLORENTE FUTURE

Mauricio Pochettino refused to discuss the future of Fernando Llorente after the Spanish striker scored twice in Spurs' 4-1 International Champions Cup win over Roma in San Diego.
Llorente is widely understood to be up for sale this summer after failing to make a big enough impression following his move from Swansea at the start of last season.
"I'm not going to talk about individual situations because if I'm going to talk now about someone I need to talk about everyone," he said.
"I am focusing on trying to work hard, trying to provide the team and every single player with the best tools to improve. Of course I'm happy when the striker scores and finds the net."
07:31

MOURINHO: NO PROBLEMS WITH MARTIAL

Man Utd boss Jose Mourinho says he has no problems with Anthony Martial leaving the club's pre-season tour to attend the birth of his first child.
Some reports in the press today had claimed Mourinho wanted the Frenchman out of the club due to his decision to leave the US.
"I found out that Martial was going to Paris when he told me," Mourinho said after watching his side beat Milan on penalties on Wednesday night. "Was two or three days ago.
"When it is personal reasons, everyone analyses that the way they think is the correct way and when a man is going to be a father in this case, it's the second time he is going to be a father, and he decides is very important for him to go, nobody has the right to stop him to go."

Problem with SMS Auth

So i have been trying to withdraw my remaining BTC 3 weeks ago(!) as i was planning to use that money for betting at the Cheltenham Festival starting tomorrow, as soon as i wanted to withdraw i had to activate 2FA, so i decided to go with SMS Auth. The next time i tried to log in, i kept getting the message "Phone number does not bind with account" so i contacted support to request a phone number reset. 5 days later, i received a confirmation that my phone number has been reset and that i could now log in. However i'm still getting asked for a phone number when trying to log in and i still get the same error messages: "phone number is not in the correct format" or "phone number does not bind with account". In the last 10 days i received 6 responses by their "Support", but no matter how often i tell them the problem still persists i always get the same pre-written answers:
Sometimes it's this one:
Dear customer, Your phone number has been reset, now you can enable the number you want by yourself. Please Enable Google Authentication if you cannot enable SMS Authentication. Thank you for your continued patronage.
and sometimes it's that one:
Hello, your phone has been reset, please check again. Thank you for your continued patronage. Sincerely, The Binance Support Team
I don't know if those are automated messages or if their support staff is really that ignorant, but i don't know what to do anymore so i hope i'll be able to get some help here.
Has anyone requested a phone number reset before? What should i do to finally regain access to my account and my funds? What is the correct format for phone numbers on Binance?
Thanks

Stoke goalkeeper Jack Butland is among Chelsea’s list of potential new goalkeepers should Thibaut Coutois leave the club this summer, according to Sky sources.
The England keeper, who played backup to Jordan Pickford at the World Cup, is believed to be available at the right price this summer – but Stoke believe he is worth the same money that Pickford joined Everton for: around £30million.
Leicester, whose own No.1 Kasper Schmeichel is understood to be another Chelsea target, are also thought to be keen on Butland along with Crystal Palace, but Butland is keen to join a top-six Premier League club.
The 25-year-old is currently on holiday following the World Cup and is due back at the end of the week. As things stand, Butland will begin pre-season training with the Potters next Monday.

Lopetegui tried to persuade him to stay but Kovacic remains convinced that the best thing is for him to leave the Bernabeu this summer.
Liverpool, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Juventus and Manchester United are among the interested clubs who have contacted him and offered him the possibility of greater first-team action.
The 24-year-old wants to begin pre-season at a new club after his summer holiday. Madrid are starting to feel that they will have to facilitate the Croatian’s departure and would seek a fee of at least €50m.

Liverpool officials will fly to Turkey to complete a move for Besiktas defender Domagoj Vida, according to reports.
Vida caught the eye at Russia 2018 where he guided Croatia to their very first World Cup final, before suffering defeat to France.
Turkish newspaper Milliyet claim Besiktas have rejected a £19.7m bid from West Ham and snubbed an approach from Everton which did not match their valuation.

'SAINTS HAVE TO SELL TO BUY'

Mark Hughes says Southampton will have to sell players before they consider adding anyone else to their squad this summer.

"We've done OK. We have done early business which we are pleased about but you are always on the lookout.

In a radio interview Monday, Muscat said he couldn't comment on any aspect of negotiations with Honda but added "you can read between the lines.
He says any decision on a marquee player would be football-based and not promotional but "when Honda's name was floated not only was I interested, I think everyone was interested because he's still got a lot of football (left) and he can add something in terms of football to our competition."

SEAMAN BACKS CECH

Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech's vast experience will help him remain the club's first choice despite the arrival of Bernd Leno, says David Seaman.
Leno arrived from Bayer Leverkusen last week, where he made 230 appearances across seven Bundesliga seasons, and has been tipped for big things at the Emirates by his old team-mates.
However, former Arsenal goalkeeper Seaman believes Leno will face fierce competition from the 36-year-old Cech - who has also been linked with a move back to Chelsea - for the No 1 spot.
"He [Cech] has still got great qualities and it isn't like he has had a bad season or anything, he still produced," Seaman said. "Obviously he is getting older but your game adapts, that is what I found, you might not be as sharp as what you used to be but your experience gets you into the right positions."

JOSE ISSUES TRANSFER WARNING

Jose Mourinho has warned Manchester United face a "difficult season" if they do not strengthen their squad before the transfer window shuts on Thursday.
United's build-up to the new campaign has been dominated by Mourinho's clear frustration over transfers, which has brought his relationship with executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward into the spotlight.
Fred, Diogo Dalot and Lee Grant have been the only arrivals at Old Trafford this summer, and speaking after their pre-season defeat to Bayern Munich, the United boss told MUTV: "My CEO knows what I want and I still have a few days to wait and see what happens.
"The other clubs who compete with us are really strong and already have fantastic teams. Or they are investing massively like Liverpool, who are buying everything and everybody.
"If we don't make our team better it will be a difficult season for us."

HOW ABOUT BOATENG?

Manchester United are interested in Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng as they look to add to their centre-back options before Deadline Day, reports the Daily Mirror.
United are chasing a defender this summer, with Harry Maguire and Yerry Mina long linked with a move to Old Trafford, but Boateng could be the next target they turn their attention to.
The 29-year-old Germany international’s future at the Allianz Arena is uncertain, with Boateng seeing a potential move to Paris Saint-Germain stall this week.

EVERTON REACH MINA AGREEMENT

Everton and Barcelona have reached an agreement over the transfer of Yerry Mina, reports Sport.
The two clubs now need to finalise the last details of the deal, which will cost Everton €32m.
Manchester United were interested in the Colombia international but their negotiations to secure his services broke down and the Toffees have moved quickly to strike a deal with the La Liga champions.
Mina, who is expected to sign a five-year deal, is set to be the second Barca player to switch from the Nou Camp to Goodison Park this summer after Lucas Digne's arrival on Merseyside.

GIROUD GOING NOWHERE

Olivier Giroud has shrugged off speculation linking him with a move to Marseille, insisting he has no immediate plans to return to France.
The Frenchman, who joined Chelsea from Arsenal in the January transfer window, is reportedly on Marseille’s radar but has intimated that he is committed to the Stamford Bridge club.
“Many things have been said in the last few days, but in the near future my objective is not to return to France,” he told Mundo Deportivo. “For now I am a Chelsea player.”
