First time I hear of this MLM called iMarketsLive or IML or IM Academy (their branding seems to be all over the place). They claim to teach people how to trade Forex – a completely legitimate form of investing – but a quick Google search exposes a lot about them real quick.
Can someone explain to me the relationship between Forex and IM Academy (IML, MLM)? Can it be trusted?
My boyfriend (23) has recently began Forex trading and IM Academy. I honestly have a feeling that something does not seem right about it. I just can’t put my finger on it. Apparently for IM Academy, you’re basically recruiting other people. My boyfriend paid $235 to access the courses on IM academy that assist with Forex trading. However, he has a monthly fee of $170 until he gets 2 people to join his team. Once he gets 2 people to sign up his $170 monthly fee is waived. Therefore, the 2 people he recruited now has to find 2 individuals themselves so they can have their monthly fee waived. He mentioned about a having a mentors and how he helps/guides him in the business of recruiting and Forex. My boyfriend said it’s basically an easy come up and you’re basically making money by using like a “copy paste”method. I’ve also seen things like “Chairman 50”, what is that? I just need clarification of really what it is and how it all works. I personally feel skeptical about the situation. My boyfriend is insisting that by me asking him about how legit it is means I don’t support him at all. He also says how this might be a good opportunity for him to grow and be a better person. I just don’t want him to f**k himself over that’s all and loose all his money. No matter what the outcome of this is I’ll always be there to support no matter what. But hey, he is a grown man and it’s his money not mine. Also, if it makes him happy and he feels positive about it I’m going to let him do his thing. I’ll just keep my thoughts to myself.
I need help convincing my friend that IM academy is not the way
Recently my friend has been posting all over his stories about getting people into forex and how he's in IM academy and all the advertisement that you can make money and it'll change your life. I did a ton of research on it and turns out, bam it's an MLM and pyramid scheme that's just ripping people off. Now note that I've never known anything about forex or trading at all prior to this and even I could tell it's just garbage. He however won't listen to me no matter what I say. I even got multiple other friends to try to explain to him that it's a pyramid scheme but he's too far sucked into it and won't realize it. I'm practically losing a friend over this and he won't listen to me no matter what. He even tried telling kids that if their parents don't let them sign up for the academy, they can just get a visa gift card without their parents knowing and sign up for the academy when it literally costs $300 monthly. I just don't know what I can do anymore. I guess I want to try to show him this thread to get him to realize he's being practically brainwashed but it might be too late. is there anything I can do? I'm also thinking of learning forex through babypips and other free sources myself because it looks like an interesting start into trading and just expanding my knowledge. I also want to show him he doesn't need these trade house garbage academies. So guys, what do I do?
My bf’s roommate is considering changing my Sparkletts water dispenser to Kangen.
He said it’s super beneficial for overall health, even nurses have it at their work. First of all, I don’t buy into that bullshit. Second, as a RN BSN student, the science behind Kangen water doesn’t make sense. This is a guy who is deep into MLMs such as Forex/IM Academy, Arbonne, Kangen, etc. I don’t know how to talk to my bf about this situation since he and his roommate are best friends.
I have been involved with an organization called Tradehouse that is affiliated with the popular MLM IML/IM MASTERY ACADEMY/whatever name they go by now... sadly for a few months now. If you have any friends or family that are involved with either of these entities - please get them out if you can. They have probably already been roped in and indoctrinated with the language that the community uses (which often includes every clap back and argument in the book) but please try anyways. They get you in by leveraging the higher ups in their organization ("chairman") and showing them live their lavish lifestyles.. and imply that you can too. As soon as you're welcomed in you're lovebombed and called "family" by everyone in this massive telegram group chat. And then it's radio silence right after. You're assumed to learn everything that you can about trading on your own. And soon you realize it's impossible because retail trading involves SO much risk.. which is exactly why many DON'T... lmao. You're literally trading against big banks and hedge funds. And if you don't know anything about trading let me tell you something that you might not know yet - for every winner or winning trade there is a loser. Banks can afford to trade because they are going in trades from both positions and skimming off the top of the profits. Retail traders? Yeah we aren't so lucky lol. So you realize that trading isn't as easy as it seems.. but your monthly payment is coming up and you have to do something. Here is where they get you - once you sign up (RECRUIT) two people you get your monthly fee waived (mind you.. JUST FOR THAT MONTH). The pressure is then on you to flex a lifestyle you don't have yet, in order to sell people a dream you aren't even living. All to avoid a monthly charge that they are going to have to handle unless they start the same cycle.. It's honestly horrible. The whole thing is just slimly. Everyone that is brought in is indoctrinated and taught to say the exact same things, just mindless robots. "Its all about the mindset if you're losing it's on you" "Forex isn't a scam" "broke mindset" just the dumbest stuff.. I’m making this post to anyone on here that was like me, just looking for all the information that they could about what they think or thought seemed like a good idea, but suddenly doesnt.. your conscience knows. It’s okay to get roped into these things, they are marketers after all. You aren’t stupid for joining or inquiring, and if you’re in it already like me you can make it out. You’ve already done the first step and that’s look outside of the bubble.. time to pop it. Anyone that has any questions about the above groups, advice or stuff you’d like to hear about my experience please drop it in the comments. I’m not sure how reddit works still lol but I’m always free to help.
Hey guys/gals. I’ve kinda got two questions in here, the main one is about FairForex though. Anybody have any experience dealing with them? I know they’re offshore/unregulated and that can be sketchy/has potential to be fucked. But the group I’m with all use them and have good things to say. 1:400 leverage, only a minimum of $100, and decent spreads. Not heard too many gripes about customer service or fucky withdrawal methods. I’m only looking to start with about 200 bucks on my live account (doing DEMO right now). I’ve got a TD Ameritrade account and would like to use them but I can’t get approved for margins with that little initial capital. And for part two So I’m about two months in to this forex game. I was brought in by two of my buddies from HS and they got me signed up with their team on IML Academy ( I know I know). I’ve found that they’re 46 video academy has been just OK. Honestly I find that these “gurus” or leaders are pretty awful at actually teaching and explaining things, though it has done a good job of pointing me in the right direction in being able to research further about certain topics. The team I’m on seems to be very supportive, they don’t push me to do recruiting or anything. Zoom chats at least every day, though 3/4 are about the “winning mentality” with the other 1 being about trading. But even when I tap in for that one those guys are honestly terrible teachers, pretty bad at explaining thought processes and reasoning behind taking certain trades. They’ve got me in two signal chats that usually put up at least 400-1000 pips a week depending on if they’re just doing pairs or if they throw some Indices in there too. Should I stick around and use the signal chat to at leastbreak even while I learn my way, or just cut my losses and figure all this shit out and be my own self made man? Anyone been in my shoes before, shitty pyramid scheme but has a good team? Also anyone have thoughts on the harmonic scanner? That’s the tool they have us laying for TL;DR Anyone have thoughts on FairForex as a broker? Also I’m in IML Academy, find that the videos are pretty bogus but my team is good. Should I stick around?
