Best MT5 Forex Brokers 2020 - MetaTrader 5 Brokers ...

Robinhood, a criminal enterprise

Speaking as someone who has used a selection of trading platforms for the past decade, I want to emphasize just how bad robinhood is.
Especially for a momentum trader who hits bid and offers, my experience with this platform has been infuriating.
I get that it is a simple and clean platform that makes trading seem easy and manageable. For those just getting into trading, it's a useful way to learn.
However, the fulfillment of trades is downright criminal. Not only do they literally siphon off trades (I believe they skim about $25 off most trades), but they also seem to intentionally delay execution as well as completely fail to fill orders.
The final straw was when my stop trade was not even executed as the option traded through the target price.
I will be transferring my funds into my td account, their platform might look like my dad's windows 95 computer but at least they won't fuck me over.
Are there any actual professional traders that can recommend a fast and reliable platform?
Metatrader with it's one click forex trading was wonderful but very few brokers support 3rd party platforms.

Am I being scammed by a financial broker

I got a called from a guy claimed to be a freelance financial broker a few months ago. He introduced me to a platform for forex trading, and tell me to make a new account on the site and he'll manage my account to trade forex using Metatrader 4. He will take 10% of the profit. He told me to think of this as a long term plan. He also said the platform gives my account some credits if I deposit, to kick start the investment. Something suspicious I found during this step, that his Skype account has a different name to his Skype name, like he's using sb else's account. I stupidly still make an account and deposit the money.
Slowly, he starts creating some pressure by holding some risky trades and ask me to deposit more money to increase the margin and keep the trade. He also told me to make a test withdrawal with a small amount of money to make sure that it didn't disrupt the current trades, and I did, and it went smoothly. So I keep depositing money until my friend realize he changed some number on some trades to turn a loss into a win trade. Then I started being very suspicious and looking for info. Turns out I can't contact the platform for anything without going through him. The support email doesn't exist, I can't change my password, the company running the platform only has 3 employees in the UK, with the same last name. I started being scared and tried to withdraw a large amount of the money.
At first some guy call me and said they're from the platform to help me withdraw the money, but he uses the same phone number. He told me I have to deposit 10% of the amount I withdraw, as commission, if I want to take it. I told him to get it from my profit, but he keep saying it doesn't work that way. I never heard from the support guy again. The broker resume contact with me after a while and I told him again I'll be withdrawing a large amount of money. He first say it's okay, but then later when I contact him to actually do it he again says I'll have to pay a fee because withdrawing big money means "closing" the account. He only allow me to withdraw another test withdrawal, and I did. This time the money hasn't come in for a while now. I'm quite certain I got scammed, but I still wants to hear some opinions out there, or at least give an example so others don't get caught in the same scam. Just be careful, don't take calls from stranger, especially if they call you and tell you to invest in sth. They can look and act normal at first, but they'll change their behavior.
Also sorry if there's some grammar errors, English is not my native language.

Interactive Brokers vs. TD Ameritrade

I have used MetaTrader for forex in the past and Alpaca for equities, and would now like to get a little more serious. I am currently trying to choose between IBKR vs. TDA for trading equities, futures (including cryptocurrency), forex, options, and pretty much whatever I can, via API. I plan on building with Python.
What matters most to me is that my orders execute reliably and quickly. Good fills, things get triggered, not eaten up by all the wtf? fees but I don't mind paying commission for quality, data feed quality, etc. If it gets a signal, I don't want to have to worry about my broker crapping on me. I do not care how hard it is to use or set up as long as I can count on it in the end. I will take the time to get it right and want to use it long-term for trading everything. I do not plan to use any UI much if at all, everything done through code.
What has been your experience in using IBKR vs. TDA for your algorithmic trading?

BrokerXP Reviews

BrokerXP Reviews

My perspective of How BrokerXP review help me and how can help you also.

In this review, we are taking a look at a trading platform that is used by traders all around the world. BrokerXP offers a varied range of financial products with competitive fees and an easy-to-use trading interface.
With advanced trading tools and charting features.

BrokerXP Slogan

BrokerXP Fees

If trading fees are important to you, then BrokerXP has you covered. BrokerXP offers low spreads that are available to all customers. For forex traders, BrokerXP has no fees at all, this means that you can maximize profits when trading currency pairs. The broker also offers a guaranteed stop-loss order which Is when clients get their stop-loss order rate guaranteed when setting a risk threshold in their position. BrokerXP also offers a 200:1 leverage ratio, which means that for every $1 in your account, you control $200 in the market. So if you are trading and don’t have much capital, you can still generate significant income as your profits can be multiplied by 200x. However, if you are a beginner then it is not advised that you use leverage on your trades. As profits are multiplied, so are losses. Before leveraging, learn the basics and trade using a demo account as this can stop you from losing too much money when you start trading actual capital.

BrokerXP Security

MT4 and BrokerXP have end-to-end encryption that secures trades and funds that are within the trading account itself. Imagine your trading account like a debit card, you wouldn’t put thousands of dollars in your debit card and leave it on a park bench. So when choosing what trading platform you want to go with, make sure that they take the security of your account and funds are serious as you do.

BrokerXP MT4

MetaTrader 4 is seen as the flagship trading platform, used by individual traders at home and large institutional investors alike. The platform is available on iPads, iPhones, Android phones, Android tablets, and just about any other web-enabled device. If you want to use the desktop version, instead of the web-app version, then you can download the desktop version and trade from the version. Once you’ve downloaded or loaded the platform, you can log in using your BrokerXP credentials. You can customize the charting interface, changing between light and dark mode, along with some other interface elements. Like with most online platforms, the security flaws come as a result of the customer not securing their side of things. This means that when you are trading, make sure to use long passwords that are difficult to guess and crack. Also, try and avoid trading on public computers as these can lead to your account being compromised.
On MT4 you will notice some phrases on the trading interface, here is some explanation of what they mean. When you see the Symbol tab, this means that you can choose between markets. BrokerXP offers many different trading asset options. You can trade forex, gold, stocks indices, and more. The volume tab is where you decide on your trading size. When you see 1 lot, this is equal to 100,000 units of the base currency. The Type tab is where you decide on your trade execution mode, we advise that you stick to ‘instant execution’ as this will place a trade as soon as your press ‘buy’ or ‘sell’. If you set a ‘pending order’, then the platform will make the trade when the market opens back up. The forex market is open 24/7, so this execution method will rarely be available. Stop-loss is another term that you may see on the MT4 interface, this means that your trades are exited when your profits hit a predetermined point.
Depending on what type of trader you are, the platform will offer you a specific set of charting timeframes that best suit you. For example, if you are day trading you may look at charts on a 10-minute timeframe. MT4 offers charting timeframes for 1 minute, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 4 hours, 1 day, and 1 month. You can also set custom timeframes in case the standard ones are not suitable for your trading technique.
Along with advanced timeframes, MT4 also offers 30 technical indicators such as the Elliot Wave indicator, Bollinger Bands, and pivot points, along with many more. There are also third-party add-ons that can be integrated with the platform in order to customize your interface further. Add-ons like Stealth Orders and Alarm Manager are two of the most popular addons. The first is an extension, Stealth Orders is designed to anonymize trades, with Alarm Manager helping coordinate alerts and notifications. With MT4, you can also create your own extensions using Java API, which is one of the platforms most advantageous features, as it can make everything unique.

BrokerXP Mobile Trading

The MetaTrader 4 mobile app is designed with the main focus being on ease-of-use. The mobile app is packaged with lots of research tools, advanced charts, and watch lists for scanning, with many more features.
When using BrokerXP’s mobile trading app (MT4), the look and feel of the mobile app have the same appearance as the web version. This means that if you know to operate the web-based platform, then the mobile app will be easy for you to grasp. With charting, you are given the same charts that are offered on the web app. However, due to the mobile screen being smaller, carrying out advanced forex analysis may be more difficult on mobile devices. But for making orders, setting stop loss or checking basic tasks, the mobile app is more than capable of doing so. The main benefit of using the mobile app is that you can make trades on the go. You no longer have to be at your computer or office in order to set trades. Let’s say that you make a trade at home then go grocery shopping. Whilst you are out you realize that you didn’t set stop-loss in your rush and your pair is depreciating when you check. Now, you can use your mobile to exit a position immediately, you don’t need to wait until you get home.

BrokerXP Customer Service

BrokerXP has a great dedicated customer service team, they are very professional and offer solutions to all of the problems that you could present them with. If you are a new trader, then you may encounter some problems when trying to get to grips with a new trading platform, so BrokerXP offers extensive educational resources. These educational resources are designed to help people familiarise themselves with the platform and all of the financial assets that are available to be traded on the BrokerXP platform. The MT4 platform also has a customer support team that is able to deal with any questions or issues that you are having on the trading side of things. MT4 also has a community section for traders, where questions about trading can get answered. A community forum is a great place for you to get tips about trading and non-essential things that the customer support team may not need to answer.
For customer service, you could read here and on this link.
To conclude, BrokerXP is one of the best choices for financial asset trading available.
Their low fees and advanced features make it perfect for beginners and pros alike.

WikiFX: the murky business and the murkier methods

WikiFX: the murky business and the murkier methods
https://preview.redd.it/1rf74ljv34l51.png?width=960&format=png&auto=webp&s=566235871ce22dd3078f0532dfb672bff6eb0707
The irony of financial markets is that this business that officially has got as much regulation as arms trafficking, has also got the same problem –- numerous illegal entities that evolve around the niche.
Scam brokers, funds recovery services that rob the robbed traders, HYIPs, “learn how to make millions overnight” trading courses and a number of other schemes all tend to exploit the weak point of human nature – the belief that there is the magic device with the “MORE MONEY” button out there, that someone can sell you.

A thief shouting “Thief!”

Considering the above there is a high demand in society for truthful and unbiased information about the market players. WikiFX claims to be the provider of such honest information about brokers but in fact, makes money by blackmailing brokers and promoting any company that offers to pay enough in their rankings.
WikiFX is a classic illustration of a thief shouting “Get the thief!” louder than anybody else in the crowd. The strategy works unfortunately and traders tend to trust WikiFx broker’s ratings without questioning what these ratings are based on and who sponsors this global brokers’ database.

Paving the road with some good intentions

Even the most horrible crimes against humanity were done under the cover of best intentions. Starting with the first crusades and ending with the holocaust. There are always some sound arguments, protected people and reliable methods.
Ask any trader whether each forex broker must be regulated by a third party? The answer will be “yes” with a near 100% probability and this answer is totally correct. Know-your-customer procedures and some unbiased third-party control are essential for maintaining the overall transparency of any business in a sphere of finance. This is the argument that WikiFX starts with when promoting its service and there is absolutely no point to argue. Starting with an indisputable truth is a good strategy to win the debate.
“The long-term presence on the market adds credibility”, – says WikiFX, and hears “yes” again.
“Don’t you agree that the longer the company is in the business, the better?”. “Sure”, – the trader agrees one more time.
The mission is completed. This is when the broker ranker can add any other criteria to their appraisal methods. Traders will tend to trust the service because they’ve agreed upon the most important criteria. The rest are minor details.
But what if the rest of the appraisal methods are not just minor issues? What if these details can be the means to manipulate the facts as much as they want to?

Can WikiFX appraisal criteria be trusted?

If we take a look at any broker’s WikiFX rating, we can see that the criteria of appraisal are the following:
  • The year of registration
  • Regulations
  • Market Making license
  • Software license
For example, this is what the top-rated broker’s summary looks like at WikiFX:
WikiFX Forex com example
https://preview.redd.it/t4ugtbt344l51.png?width=625&format=png&auto=webp&s=95fddf8434faf8938d1a3f18bbd5f1da2ceb47e4
Looks good. Really. Regardless of the attitude to this particular brokerage, the work seems to be done fine. All the regulators are listed below, the information on the used software, licensing, and years of operation is included.
But what if we take some other random brokerage with one of the lowest rankings at WikiFX?
NinjaTraderBrokerage WIkiFX Ranking
https://preview.redd.it/pgyqp0u644l51.png?width=631&format=png&auto=webp&s=eb268faac83608a494c31a39eb1621f7132e3520
This is where the truth reveals itself. Once again, regardless of the attitude to this particular brokerage this is really easy to find out what they do, what licenses they’ve got and what kind of software they use.
Suspicious clone? Seriously? If WikiFX staff cared enough to do any investigation prior to stamping that “Suspicious” mark on the brokerage, they would have seen that both domains, nijatrader com and ninjatraderbrokerage com belong to the same entity.
NinyaTrader whois data
https://preview.redd.it/2097lkw944l51.png?width=563&format=png&auto=webp&s=079cc4248b825a3cd941c6b691a67bb9769f4f7f
If they cared enough to collect information on the brokerage from at least one reliable source, like Investopedia or any other similarly known database, they would also have found out that the company not only provides the brokerage service, but also is known for its trading platform with advanced technical analysis tools. But the only trading software that WikiFX considers reliable seems to be MT4/MT5. They simply ignore the fact that trading does not evolve around MetaTrader products, no matter how good and popular they are. WikiFX lowers the score of any brokerage with custom-developed software. We can clearly see this with the above example.
Other criteria that WikiFX is proud to use for the broker’s appraisal are regulations. Using the same example let’s see how well they do the appraisal in this field. As you can see above, WikiFX used the “Suspicious Regulatory License” stamp for NinjaTrader Brokerage.
And here is what The National Futures Association, that NinjaTrader is registered with as a futures broker has on its record:
NFA regulation of NTB proof that WikiFX did not consider to be trustworthy

https://preview.redd.it/di8fwkdd44l51.png?width=629&format=png&auto=webp&s=2de618d5df26bd8fcca99c51a6030f4bdfa7f776
We can’t expect every trader to know that any futures broker that wants to operate on the US market must be a member of NFA. This is the requirement of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission regarding the futures broker’s operations. But this is totally unacceptable for a broker ranking website, which WikiFX claims to be, to mark NFA-registered futures brokerage as non-reliable.
By the way, did you notice on the above screenshot that NTB has obtained the NFA license in 2004? Yet, this does not prevent WikiFX from claiming that the brokerage has only been providing its services for 1-2 years only, instead of the factual 16 years of operations.
We can long discuss the reasons that lie behind such selectivity of WikiFX but this random example clearly shows that any brokerage that provides access to non-forex derivatives trading or dares to suggest custom-developed software to its traders is in danger of receiving a negative review at WikiFX regardless of the factual reliability and regulations.

What lies beneath WikiFX selectivity?

WikiFX claims to have a team of professionals that are all involved in objective appraisal of broker’s services, licenses and used software. The methods used by these professionals remain unrevealed and as we see from the above comparison two similarly reliable brokerages can get any score from 1.0 and up to 10.0 at WikiFX, no matter what regulations they’ve got, for how long they’ve been in the business and what kind of software they use.
This is difficult to say what lies behind such selectivity with 100% confidence. The first thing that comes to mind is that WikiFX might be affiliated with some brokers. The hypothesis gets even more realistic if we try to understand who sponsors WikiFX.
There are no transparent built-in ads neither on the web-version of the website nor in its applications. There are no paid subscriptions for access to the database. This means that users sponsor the service with neither their attention to ads nor directly. Being the non-charity and non-governmental organization WikiFX can’t be sponsored with donations or a government. The only option that we have left is that brokers sponsor this ranking system directly, which automatically makes the whole system non-reliable and highly biased.
The only transparent method that we know WikiFX uses to collect money is sponsorship fees they collect from their offline events participants. Let’s have a look at the exhibitors of the recent WikiFX Expo in Thailand.
WikiFX Expo Exhibitors

  • TLC is a non-regulated investment platform that was founded in 2019
  • Samtrade FX is not regulated by any of the agencies that WikiFX itself lists as reliable
  • Forex4you is not regulated by any of the agencies that WikiFX itself lists as reliable
  • B2 Broker is a non-regulated broker
  • XDL FX is a non-regulated broker
  • VAT FX is a non-regulated broker
Six out of sixteen WikiFX recent expo exhibitors do not have proper legal status according to the “standards” of WikiFX itself. This fact does not prevent them from promoting the services of these companies at their offline events. This conspicuous fact tells a lot about the attitude of WikiFX to common traders looking for reliable partners. Reputation is nothing but a sale item for this brokers’ ranking system.

Murky & Murkier

So far we’ve only discussed the facts that anyone can check himself using free tools and sources.
It was not that difficult to discover that WikiFX uses non-transparent standards for brokers’ appraisal. It ignores the specifics of some brokerages lowering their scores due to non-standard derivatives they offer to trade or custom trading software. It also promotes non-regulated and non-licensed brokerages, which is 100% against the declared WikiFX values and mission.
The rumors are that this company was also noticed blackmailing brokers with the purpose of making them pay for better reviews at WikiFX. There are also some signs that indicate suspicious promotion of WikiFX platform through social media and Quora. Some of the WikiFX positive reviews also look highly suspicious. All of the above is a matter of further investigation.
Nevertheless, thousands of users keep relying on the information provided by this scam ranking system. It may even look like all these users are satisfied. WikiFX has got 4.5 starts at Google Play, which sounds good enough. However, positive WikiFX reviews use similar semantics and are also highly suspicious. Despite the high average grade, Google Play finds the following messages to be most relevant and brings them to the top of WikiFX reviews:
Google Play most relevant WikiFX reviews

You’ve got the facts now and it’s time to make your own conclusions.

Binary Options Review; Best Binary Options Brokers

Binary Options Review; Best Binary Options Brokers

Binary Options Review; Best Binary Options Brokers
We have compared the best regulated binary options brokers and platforms in May 2020 and created this top list. Every binary options company here has been personally reviewed by us to help you find the best binary options platform for both beginners and experts. The broker comparison list below shows which binary trading sites came out on top based on different criteria.
You can put different trading signals into consideration such as using payout (maximum returns), minimum deposit, bonus offers, or if the operator is regulated or not. You can also read full reviews of each broker, helping you make the best choice. This review is to ensure traders don't lose money in their trading account.
How to Compare Brokers and Platforms
In order to trade binary options, you need to engage the services of a binary options broker that accepts clients from your country e.g. check US trade requirements if you are in the United States. Here at bitcoinbinaryoptionsreview.com, we have provided all the best comparison factors that will help you select which trading broker to open an account with. We have also looked at our most popular or frequently asked questions, and have noted that these are important factors when traders are comparing different brokers:
  1. What is the Minimum Deposit? (These range from $5 or $10 up to $250)
  2. Are they regulated or licensed, and with which regulator?
  3. Can I open a Demo Account?
  4. Is there a signals service, and is it free?
  5. Can I trade on my mobile phone and is there a mobile app?
  6. Is there a Bonus available for new trader accounts? What are the Terms and
  7. conditions?
  8. Who has the best binary trading platform? Do you need high detail charts with technical analysis indicators?
  9. Which broker has the best asset lists? Do they offer forex, cryptocurrency, commodities, indices, and stocks – and how many of each?
  10. Which broker has the largest range of expiry times (30 seconds, 60 seconds, end of the day, long term, etc?)
  11. How much is the minimum trade size or amount?
  12. What types of options are available? (Touch, Ladder, Boundary, Pairs, etc)
  13. Additional Tools – Like Early closure or Metatrader 4 (Mt4) plugin or integration
  14. Do they operate a Robot or offer automated trading software?
  15. What is Customer Service like? Do they offer telephone, email and live chat customer support – and in which countries? Do they list direct contact details?
  16. Who has the best payouts or maximum returns? Check the markets you will trade.
The Regulated Binary Brokers
Regulation and licensing is a key factor when judging the best broker. Unregulated brokers are not always scams, or untrustworthy, but it does mean a trader must do more ‘due diligence’ before trading with them. A regulated broker is the safest option.
Regulators - Leading regulatory bodies include:
  • CySec – The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (Cyprus and the EU)
  • FCA – Financial Conduct Authority (UK)
  • CFTC – Commodity Futures Trading Commission (US)
  • FSB – Financial Services Board (South Africa)
  • ASIC – Australia Securities and Investment Commission
There are other regulators in addition to the above, and in some cases, brokers will be regulated by more than one organization. This is becoming more common in Europe where binary options are coming under increased scrutiny. Reputable, premier brands will have regulation of some sort.
Regulation is there to protect traders, to ensure their money is correctly held and to give them a path to take in the event of a dispute. It should therefore be an important consideration when choosing a trading partner.
Bonuses - Both sign up bonuses and demo accounts are used to attract new clients. Bonuses are often a deposit match, a one-off payment, or risk-free trade. Whatever the form of a bonus, there are terms and conditions that need to be read.
It is worth taking the time to understand those terms before signing up or clicking accept on a bonus offer. If the terms are not to your liking then the bonus loses any attraction and that broker may not be the best choice. Some bonus terms tie in your initial deposit too. It is worth reading T&Cs before agreeing to any bonus, and worth noting that many brokers will give you the option to ‘opt-out’ of taking a bonus.
Using a bonus effectively is harder than it sounds. If considering taking up one of these offers, think about whether, and how, it might affect your trading. One common issue is that turnover requirements within the terms, often cause traders to ‘over-trade’. If the bonus does not suit you, turn it down.
How to Find the Right Broker
But how do you find a good broker? Well, that’s where BitcoinBinaryOptionsReview.com comes in. We assess and evaluate binary options brokers so that traders know exactly what to expect when signing up with them. Our financial experts have more than 20 years of experience in the financial business and have reviewed dozens of brokers.
Being former traders ourselves, we know precisely what you need. That’s why we’ll do our best to provide our readers with the most accurate information. We are one of the leading websites in this area of expertise, with very detailed and thorough analyses of every broker we encounter. You will notice that each aspect of any broker’s offer has a separate article about it, which just goes to show you how seriously we approach each company. This website is your best source of information about binary options brokers and one of your best tools in determining which one of them you want as your link to the binary options market.
Why Use a Binary Options Trading Review?
So, why is all this relevant? As you may already know, it is difficult to fully control things that take place online. There are people who only pose as binary options brokers in order to scam you and disappear with your money. True, most of the brokers we encounter turn out to be legit, but why take unnecessary risks?
Just let us do our job and then check out the results before making any major decisions. All our investigations regarding brokers’ reliability can be seen if you click on our Scam Tab, so give it a go and see how we operate. More detailed scam reports than these are simply impossible to find. However, the most important part of this website can be found if you go to our Brokers Tab.
There you can find extensive analyses of numerous binary options brokers irrespective of your trading strategy. Each company is represented with an all-encompassing review and several other articles dealing with various aspects of their offer. A list containing the very best choices will appear on your screen as you enter our website whose intuitive design will allow you to access all the most important information in real-time.
We will explain minimum deposits, money withdrawals, bonuses, trading platforms, and many more topics down to the smallest detail. Rest assured, this amount of high-quality content dedicated exclusively to trading cannot be found anywhere else. Therefore, visiting us before making any important decisions regarding this type of trading is the best thing to do.
CONCLUSION: Stay ahead of the market, and recover from all kinds of binary options trading loss, including market losses in bitcoin, cryptocurrency, and forex markets too. Send your request via email to - [email protected]

Things you need to know about MT5

Things you need to know about MT5
If you have been involved in online trading for some time, chances are you have used the MT5 software.
Even if you are new to online trading, I am sure you have heard about MT5 from more experienced traders in your network.
But the platform isn’t just popular for no reason. Both traders and brokers find it useful because:
  1. It has impressive functionalities that you can’t get on any other platform
  2. It is openly available to all brokers and traders.
However, that is not all there is to MT5. So this post will be looking at some exciting things about MetaTrader 5, including:
  • Its features
  • The types of account it offers
  • Basic terms every professional trader should know
Before we delve into highlighting the features, let’s look at what MetaTrader 5 really is.
So what is MT5?
MetaTrader is a multi-asset platform that offers traders the tools to trade forex, stocks, and futures.
The first version of the software, MT4, was created in 2005 by MetaQuotes Software Corporation. The second version, MT5, was released in 2010 to offer more functionalities and better trading experience to users and brokers.
With the history out of the way, let’s look at the features that make MT5 the software of choice for most brokers and traders.
5 features of MT5 that make it the market leader
  • Multi-asset trading platform
  • Automated trades to test trading strategies
  • Automated bots by experts
  • Hedging and netting allowed
  • 21 time-frames — from minutes to years
The 3 types of MT5 accounts available on Deriv.com
One of the things that have made MT5 very popular is its open-source nature. This has allowed different brokers to integrate it into their respective trading platform.
But at Deriv.com, we didn’t just integrate MT5 into our platform.
We blended the powerful functionalities of the MT5 with our experience as pioneers in the online trading industry and we call it — DMT5 an all-in-one forex and CFD trading platform.
When you trade with DMT5, you have the option to choose from three different account types, each designed to appeal to traders with varying styles of trading and experience.
The three account types are explained in the images below.

Types of DMT5 account

DMT5 Accounts
It is worthy to note that synthetic indices are only available to Deriv.com traders and can be traded even on weekends.
Another point to note is that while Deriv.com created the synthetic indices algorithm, the market mimics the real-world financial market.
Lastly, let’s look at some of the terms that you should know if you want to succeed in online trading.
Basic terms every professional trader should know
1. Leverage
Leverage gives you the ability to trade a larger position using your existing capital.
2. Order execution
There are two types of order execution: instant execution and market execution.
Instant execution places your order at the price available at that time. Requotes are possible only if the price fluctuates by a lot before the execution of the order is completed.
Market execution allows you to place an order at the broker’s price. The price is agreed upon in advance, there are no requotes.
3. Spread
A ‘spread’ is the difference between the buy and sell prices. A fixed spread is subject to changes at the company’s absolute discretion, whereas a variable spread means that the spread is constantly changing. A fixed spread is not affected by market conditions, a variable spread depends on market conditions.
4. Commission
Brokers usually charge a commission for each trade that is placed. Deriv.com, however, charges no commission across all account types, except cryptocurrencies.
5. Margin call
Your account is placed under margin call when the funds in your account are unable to cover the leverage or margin requirement. To prevent a margin call from escalating to a stop out level, close any open positions, or deposit additional funds into your account.
6. Stop out level
Your account will reach the stop out level where it will be unable to sustain any open positions if it has been under margin call for an extended period of time. This will lead to all pending orders being canceled and open positions being closed forcibly (also known as “forced liquidation”).
7. Cryptocurrency trading
Indicates the availability of cryptocurrency trading on a particular account.

What amount should I start trading with?

I'll use this post to also just say hello to everyone in the subreddit. Pleasure to meet you all.
As for my question, I'm currently getting some 1 on 1 mentoring to start my journey into Forex Trading and I must say my interest in trading has peaked even more since I've started. Tonight, I felt like doing some reasearch of my own as I wait for our next training session with a simple question.
When I do finally have my strategies set out and am able to analysis charts and news to get my information, what would be a good starting amount for an actual brooker account? In case it's needed, the broker I've been suggested to use is HotForex and I use SmartTrader and the HotForex Program as well as Metatrader 4 on my phone for my graphs and trades.
Any info you all have would be greatly appreciated.
Edit 5/23/20: I'm genuinely surprised by the many replies I've gotten in the past few hours. I really appreciate each and everyone you guys left me. They're all filled with such wise and interesting advice. I've made sure to take it all into account.
As for my question above, I've decided to go with $200 for my live account when I start for two main reasons. The first being that all responses have fallen between $100 - $300 and secondly, it's an amount that I am comfortably ok with lossing as I go through the process of learning.
Should anyone like to provide me with any other advice though, I'd be more than appreciative. Thank you all and I wish you all the best of luck in your own trading endevours.

Young "millionaires" from trading, Real or Fake?

Ok, so I want to get into trading as I've been stalking this trader for a while now on social media and honestly it seems too good to be true.
I've done intensive research into his life but I can't quite see why or how he is making so much money... let's start with the basics, he grew up in a city 30mins away from me, he failed school dropped out and apparently started trading at an early age of around 18. Heres where it gets weird: him and 2 of his (what seems like) childhood friends created and owns a company, let's call it "GO-forex" and the company seems to be a signal giving forex company (I'm not sure how it all works) but apparently he sends messages to other forex trades when to make trades. Apparently he does this for free as he gets paid by "another company" to do this as his job.
What's sketchy is the way he recruits people and how the business model works, basically when I asked if I could work for him he said "you need more followers" on Instagram. I looked at his workers, a group of 10-15 people and they all had 5k+ followers on Instagram an continuously keep posting things like motivation, why forex is the best, flexing and importantly, telling people to get on this free forex signals thing. That's how I found out about him, a mutual friend was working for him promoting forex lifestyl and that but suddenly left and became a mechanic... what's also sketchy is that he keeps saying "minimum £300 is what the broker will take for you to start and you can withdraw money at any time" I know a broker gets commission and stuff but whats going on here? He posts daily messages he gets from his customers making £90 or £120 and them thanking him, and his always like "join now!!!". I think the app he uses is metatrader and he always flexes when he makes a lot of pips, making anywhere between £1000 to £7000 profit per day.
He is also constantly promoting his masterclass and shows that he is into real estate investing too. I really have no clue what is going on with this, what's the business model? Does he make more money off the company or trading himself? Is he faking it till he makes it? Is he secretly the broker? Is he stealing his customers money and using it for his own trades? Why does he want to give people signals? Why is his business so reliant on social media? Is he a fraud?
I have too many questions but not any answers. He is living the life I always wanted yet he looks like he hasn't worked hard or isn't that smart....

Brokers

People ask me all the time what broker I think they should use. But it all depends on what you want to trade. To save time, to keep the threads and my inbox clear from these questions, here are my two main brokers that I think are the best out there at the minute and what I use everyday. Also a few reasons why. If anyone has questions, as always, feel free 👍
For Forex, I recommend using TeleTrade with Metatrader. They are a great broker that have been around for 25 years. They have some great offers such as giving you a £100 account on sign up in which you can keep the profits. They also have super quick witdrawrals and they're help service is second to none. Spreads are also quite competitive which is important. You can also trade stocks on Metatrader with this broker.
https://my.teletrade-dj.com/agent_pp.html?agent_pp=26388159
The app I use for trading stocks is trading 212. I opened my account with these years ago. Its so simple to use and great for beginners.
https://go.trading212affiliates.com/visit/?bta=35991&brand=trading212
I hope this helps.
Note: These are affiliate links. I affiliate myself with all of the brokers I use. If people are going to ask me what to use all the time and sign up to them it would be silly not to.

Recommendation for Microlot broker (german customer)?

Hi, I wanna trade forex. or , currently, I mostly wanna build an expert advisor and if it is successfull in some demo account, I might wanna try it on some small account trading microlots.
but in either case, even to test the robot, i somewhere need an account at a broker.
and looking to the future plans of trading, I would love to open an account with a broker that offers microlots for forex.
can you recommend one?
I am not entirely sure if currently using MQL4 or MQL5, respectively Metatrader 4 or 5 is better.
I would prefer 4 (simply cause it's very well known and common) but am not sure if by now, MT4 isn't kind of "outdated" or having obvious disadvantages vs MT5.
so not sure about which one would be smarter to use.
soo anyways, what qwould be a broker that you can recommedn that allows microlots, or in general offers unusually small lot sizes?
also, thing is, I'm from germany, europe. so not every broker might be accepting me.
happy about any recommendations anyways :-)

A few questions I am still unsure on ...

I've been researching trading for some time and would like to begin trading with real money in the coming months. I'm currently demo trading with £500 since this is the amount I will most likely deposit when I begin trading, but I'm still uncertain in some things:
-- When I do see traders post their profits (on things like Instagram), I realise that they use MetaTrader nearly all the time and wanted to know why they don't use Trading212 or other online brokers, why is this?
I know it is quite a few questions but would be happy if any of these questions could be answered to help understand in more depth.

Trading 212 for Forex?

Hey all.
I'm looking to start using the trading 212 app for forex, is this a good or bad idea?.
Are they a broker too so I wouldn't need a separate brokerage account and what are their fees/spread like?
I'm a Forex newb so I apologies for the simple question. I just can't find a good broker for beginners with low costs and that link up with MetaTrader 4/5.

Thanks!

Which type of account do I need?

I’m trying to open a broker account with IG and I’m not sure which type account is right for me. This is between spread betting, CFD and share dealing. I’m looking to use metatrader 4 to trade forex and anything else that takes my fancy. If anyone can explain this to me I’d be really appreciative.

Which is the best auto trading robot for forex market?

I would not dare to say that there is any best auto trading robot for Forex Market. There may be in the world, but it probably not for sales nor for the public. If you have been in the forex market for a while, you will naturally become curious about automating your trades when you have a strategy and money management that bring profitability consistently.
I am an active signals follower and been in this industry for years thus these are a few tips before choosing a profitable robot in the market.
Drawdown
It is common that you study drawdown before diving into any EA. As this is the likely losses you will incur in the strategy you are engaging. The certain trading robot drawdown could get as high as 80% which I would not recommend. A safe drawdown would range 10%-20%, while max drawdown would range within 35%-50% depending on your risk appetite.
Martingale/Grid
This is a strategy which projects a clean curve on every portfolio. The only downside is that the stacked trades one day may backfire and margin call your account in a single day. In my opinion, such a strategy has its pro and con and it would be difficult to even debate if it is suitable for investment since such a strategy is more towards probability game/ gambling with formula.
View the Best Forex EAs, the reviews and proven results and select the best FX Expert Advisors for Metatrader MT4 for your needs: https://www.best-forex-robots.com/l/broker-profit/
Read the Reviews
Before you settle on a forex robot, check out the reviews. You can assess the credibility of a forex robot by visit forex trading forums. Here, you can ask for advice about the forex robot you like or you can read posts about the robot by other members. Researching carefully can help you understand if a forex robot will be suited to your particular trading style and level of experience.
Ask for Back Testing Data
Any EA will have the back-testing data for more than 10 years. It would be tested on different pairs to ensure it is profitable on different market condition and best used on which currency pairs.
Check out the Live Trading Results
Request for live verified results. Usually, you can find real verified results either on myfxbook or FX Blue. Sometime EA developer will provide investor password for you to review their performance on a live account. I will only stick to EA with verified results since this is the only way to ensure profitability.
Summary Forex Robot is not a get rich quick solution, always ensure you have set up stable and consistent risk management on every EA to ensure long-lasting profitable trading experience. Forex is already considered as a high-risk product, therefore you should always do your money management properly to avoid over-leveraging.

KONTOFX REVIEW

Overview:

The offshore FX and CFDs broker KONTOFX has its focus on binary trading options. It offers a number of binary assets for trading on an oversimplified trading platform. It also offers maximum leverage of a 1:200. Before considering this broker for trading please follow our scam broker KONTOFX review.

About the KONTOFX:

The broker offers binary options of more than 20 cryptocurrencies from popular Bitcoin to Ethereum and many more. The minimum investment of $250 is needed to start trading with KONTOFX. This minimum deposit is in accordance with the current market situation but several regulated brokers provide the same services at the cost of $ 5. The Estonian firm NTMT Transformatic Markets OU is the owner of KONTORFX and the operations are handled by Northside Business Centres located in Hungary. It has also another office located in Moscow, Russia that manages clients outside of the EU. To offer its services in the EU any Estonian firm required to be regulated by Finantsinspektsioon the local Financial Supervision Authority. When checked with Finantsinspektsioon there is no evidence of this broker’s registration.
The terms and conditions section of this brokers mentions that the broker is not bound to process withdrawal requests made by the traders. Meaning that the profits gained by the traders can not be withdrawn. This condition is utter nonsense as traders do trading to earn profit and use them as per their convenience.
The available spread at KONTOFX on bitcoin-us dollar pair is around $170 that is higher. On the contrary, the information on the website talks about low spreads at 0.6 pips. The offered leverage is up to the ratio of 1:200. When tried to test the provided trading platform we came across very few CFDs offered on binary options and not at all on other commodities. This means the broker is advertising itself falsely as the leader in binary and other commodities CFDs providers.
The payments are entertained only with cards and all other means of payments are unavailable. As mentioned earlier this broker does not provide world-leading MetaTrader platform. Instead offers to trade on some unproven web-based terminal. The fact of worry about this broker is, there is warning issued against it by the Financial Conduct Authority, UK.

Is KONTOFX legit or scam?

The offshore broker KONTOFX makes false claims every now and then. The terms and conditions of this broker are very strange. The broker KONTOFX is unregulated and unlicensed and has a high risk of fund loss. All in all this broker can be a potential Forex scam broker. Avoid it for the safety of your investments.

Question on testing process when building a new algo/strategy

Just a quick question for those that have gone through this before - I think I have finished coding a basic starting point for my algo, and I now want to start forward testing. How do you all formally run through the testing process?
For a bit of background, I am from a non-coding background, currently work in investment. I only picked up coding recently and starting building something in MQL4 for forex trading (I chose forex mostly due to the hassle around clearance and PAD from my employer on other asset types such as equity, CFDs or options).
My thinking so far is;
  1. Run the algo on a number of pairs (say 5 or so) over a period of time and review the output to ensure that the trade entries, exits and signals that it's generating tie back to my original idea/thesis.
  2. Forward test on a demo account for period of time (say 1-3 months), again reviewing the outcome of trades and ensuring it still ties back to my original idea/thesis and that there are no anomalies.
  3. Commit a very small amount of money (say $100) to test it out. This is possible in forex with retail brokers using Metatrader and the small lot/trade sizes. Continue to monitoreview trading outputs and ensure they tie back to original idea/thesis.
  4. From here, if and only if it is profitable, consider investing more money into the account and spending more time looking for ways to optimise the algo.
Does this sound ridiculous, or am I on the right path? Just wanted to get an idea from those who are more experienced and been through this before.
Thanks in advanced to anyone that is able to provide some valueable insight.
