DKNG - Fundamental DD Part II - DKNG
Not Financial Advice (NFA) Warning: Wall of Text. If you hate reading just skim through the bolded/italicized Ever since I publicized my findings on DKNG, the stock has underperformed & probably has fucked a lot of people here, especially given the overly bullish stance back in June. Unless you took my advice & got into Puts then, congrats, welcome to tendie town. For the ADHD retards, here’s what the next wall of text is going to summarize: I believe at the current price of ~$30, the stock is oversold. A tech-focused, high-growth Company that has made sports betting easy to understand with an aesthetically pleasing interface similar to how Robinhood has neatly laid out stock market gimmicks so even high-schoolers can make sense of it I believe, is underpriced at these levels. Let’s get into some details as to why the stock has underperformed: First off, the news slate revolving sports with the rumored delay/cancellation of the MLB season & the NFL watching from the sidelines is in my view, just a part of why the stock has underperformed. We’ll revisit this later in this post, but I want to focus on the drivers of the stock’s recent underperformance, & why these factors are now in the rearview mirror. Part I – The Past Has Passed – SPAC-related Equity Dilution History lesson first: DKNG went public via a SPAC merger, which has exploded in popularity recently. Anyone serious about analyzing stocks going forward needs to do their homework on this, Google is your friend. A feature of most SPAC merger to public listings that creates a headwind to near-term share prices are embedded equity dilution events, usually in the form of earn-outs (stock bonuses to execs, the SPAC sponsor) & conversion of Warrants. On 5/24, the earn-outs were triggered, adding 6m shares to the share count. On 6/26, 16.3m warrants converted to DKNG, netting them ~$188m of cash. Stepping back a little, in addition to the above, on 6/18 DKNG launched a follow-on equity offering of 16M shares @ $40/Share [1], receiving $621M in proceeds. The last part is tricky to understand from a dilution perspective. To simplify, historically it’s almost a coin toss whether a Company’s shares outperform on the onset of an equity offering. While issuing shares does dilute the existing shareholder base, it theoretically shouldn’t, if the proceeds from the offering are earmarked for investments/projects that yield outsized returns. This is the reality for the long term, theory for the short-term. For the short-term, the ‘reality’ isn’t that the proceeds will be used for investments/projects that yield outsized returns, it is more about how convincing management is to investors that the investments they intend to pursue with the proceeds will outweigh the dilutive effects of issuing incremental shares. That’s a mouthful, but hopefully you get what I’m trying to convey. All of this stuff put together – the Company has increased its share count by ~39M, but now has a whopping ~$1.4Bn of cash [2]. More on this in the next section. Part II – MLB News Should Not Fucking Matter & DKNG Is Positioned As the Leading Online/Mobile Sports Platform DKNG should not be so tied to MLB news or any of this shit as the ongoing success of the NBA/NHL season + Soccer in Europe has effectively created a blueprint on how to regulate player behavior so that they maintain professionalism amidst the pandemic. I’m going out on a whim here, but I truly think the MLB threatening a cancellation of the season is pure posturing to get these fuckers to behave appropriately. Maybe a ‘bubble’ is what it takes to get these players to focus on their jobs instead of going out & contracting COVID, but I argue that isn’t necessarily required given Soccer in Europe. So there’s already a proven path here without the need for a bubble in Soccer, so MLB/NFL should be fine, and execs need to study how they got it done in Europe. Okay, back to some facts. Anecdotally, I’ve kept in touch with a handful of sports bookies from California to New York & even internationally about what they’re seeing – all of them say that since the NBA season started on 7/30 & since Soccer (especially the Premier League) resumed in June, along with other leagues like La Liga & Serie A, they’ve seen massive increases in betting. These numbers are also showing up in the official data [3]:
Average % increase in sports betting handle from April 2020 to June 2020 (handle is the total $ wagered in sports bets) from the states that reported up to June 2020 (NJ, PA, MS, RI, WV, IA, IN, NH) of +258%!
Note: NV is left out due to the site I sourced showing a weirdly negative number – so I dug into the official filings & show specifically, Sports Mobile betting growth from June since April has growing by at least +73% [4]
REMEMBER: This is for June only! No NBA, No NHL, No MLB, just Soccer, Golf, NASCAR & UFC. The data clearly shows that there was a ton of pent-up sports betting demand, which leads one Wall St. analyst to think that betting on the NBA/NHL could ABSORB the MLB’s sports betting handle (handle = total $ size of sports bet) [5]. Remember, the MLB season is still ongoing, with games being played. The entire focus is on the Miami Marlins & St. Louis Cardinals. Fucking retards. Additionally, I want to remind everyone that DraftKings.com is the #1 Fantasy sports website in the U.S. [6]. Also, since April 2020 site visitations are up +86% [7] & Google Search Trends for “Draft Kings” is up ~3xcompared to PRE-COVID levels [8]. What does this mean? They are piquing more people’s curiosity than prior to COVID/ongoing slate of sports. This is important because remember that ~$1.4Bn chest full of cash I mentioned DKNG had assembled earlier? Well, that money is being put to work & results are already coming in, which is exactly what DKNG intended to do with it. Part III – Legalization of Sports Betting in the U.S. I could write a fucking bible on this topic alone, but for now we’ll stick to some basics. Due to COVID, it’s easy to understand that each State’s financial situation is clearly in shit. Because of this, you better believe that these guys are going to start taking a hard look at how they can extract additional tax revenues, & what’s one of the easiest ways to do this? Legalization & taxation of gambling. The big players: CA, TX, FL & NY. First, CA pushing its legislation out to 2023 was fucked up, but here’s a twist I want to add to this: Anything that has to do with gambling in CA you better believe is lobbied against by not just the Tribal casino owners in CA, but by the deep pockets of Las Vegas money. Similar thing can be said for FL, but let’s take a look at some actions by LV/nationwide gambling companies that are starting to align financial incentives with guys like DKNG.
MGM / GVC Holdings JV in BetMGM - $450m total invested
PENN invests $163m into BS Sports
Caesars has a 20% stake in William Hill plus partnership deals with The Stars Group (TSG) & our winner DKNG for operating its sports books
So it’s safe to say going forward, nationwide legalization of sports betting will reap rewards for everyone involved, & no longer be something LV money is completely focused on safeguarding. Let’s also not forget that DKNG didn’t become the Company they are today because of their fancy app, but because their management team has a HISTORY of navigating the U.S.’s legal framework to get what they want out of it.
The Crown Jewel – The Internet Gambling Prohibition & Enforcement Act: I said it in a previous post, but I want to emphasize that them getting Fantasy Sports to be labeled a ‘game of skill’ by FEDERAL Law as opposed to gambling is just something for the history books. Fucking genius shit. When this happened I bet every casino from LV to every Indian Tribe that has one was against it, yet DKNG & other DFS providers won.
There’s more, but more recently: Getting into IL:
In IL, there’s an 18-month ‘penalty box’ for Companies that offer DFS to offer sports betting. Our guys at DKNG created a workaround to this situation with their partnership with Casino Queen [9]. DKNG being savvy again.

Will the Baltimore Ravens win OVER/UNDER 11.5 games? By University Stats Prof!
1. Introduction
The Ravens finished as the top team in the NFL with a 14-2 record. However, the season ended on a sour note as they lost 28-to-12 at home against the Titans in the divisional round. Baltimore finished 1st in points scored and 3rd in points allowed. It doesn’t get any better than this! Their running game was historically great! They racked up 206 rushing yards per game on average, while the second-best in the NFL was San Francisco at “just” 144… Can they replicate last year’s success?
2. Offensive Position-by-Position Breakdown
2.1 Quarterbacks (QBs) Lamar Jackson was nothing short of spectacular. He was a lot of fun to watch. He was only the second unanimous MVP winner ever. He ran for 1,206 yards, but he surprised many with his arm. He threw 36 TD passes versus just 6 picks. While those numbers are jaw-dropping, I find it hard to believe he can be as good in 2020. Maybe teams will figure him out better and find ways to contain him. You cannot ask Baltimore’s quarterback position to do better in 2020 than they did in 2019. Note that Robert Griffin III remains the Ravens’ backup QB this year. 2.2 Running Backs (RBs) Mark Ingram and Gus Edwards were a very good one-two punch (on top of having Lamar Jackson running like crazy). They will be 30 and 25 years old, respectively, so there shouldn’t be too much of a dropoff. At first, it was believed that Justice Hill might push Gus Edwards for the number two role in 2020. The fourth-round pick out of Oklahoma State had a good rookie season. However, Baltimore’s backfield is pretty stacked with the addition of rookie J.K. Dobbins. He is very likely to pass Edwards and Hill on the depth chart. It won’t be easy to unseat Ingram, though. Dobbins rushed for over 2,000 yards last year, while also punching the ball in the end zone 21 times! He can also catch the ball well out of the backfield. He has the tools to become a three-down back in the NFL. 2.3 Wide Receivers (WRs) Not much change at this position either, except for the loss of Seth Roberts who caught 21 passes for 271 yards and 2 TDs. Not a big deal. The top two targets will be back in 2020: Marquise Brown and Willie Snead. Brown’ rookie season was a success as he caught 46 passes for 584 yards. He finished third among rookies with 7 receiving TDs. However, his college career ended with a foot injury and he says it hampered him at times during the 2019 season. He faded down the stretch, despite nice numbers in the lone playoff game. Indeed, he scored just one touchdown over the last six meetings. Snead wasn’t particularly good. He ranked 101st out of 122 wide receivers by PFF. During the regular season, he cleared 50 receiving yards just two times. He caught 4 passes in one game, and hauled in 3 passes or less in the remaining 15 matchups. Overall, this is a bit of a shaky group. Given his history, Marquise Brown is a likely candidate for injuries and if that happens, they will be in trouble at the wideout position. As mentioned above, Snead isn’t very strong. Seth Roberts is gone. And Miles Boykin isn’t scaring anyone either. Depth was clearly an issue here. Most observers believed the Ravens would address the position in the draft. However, Baltimore waited until late in the 3rd round to pick a WR: Devin Duvernay out of Texas. He’s a slot weapon who caught 106 passes for 1,386 yards and 9 TDs last year. Obviously, the 106 receptions are impressive, but keep in mind that he benefited from 42 screen plays going his way. 2.4 Tight Ends (TEs) The team was loaded at this position with Mark Andrews, Nick Boyle and Hayden Hurst. These guys finished 2nd, 12th, and 14th out of 66 tight ends! Having three of the top 14 TEs in the league within the same team is unbelievable! Unfortunately, Hurst left for Atlanta. As good as he was, it won’t be a huge blow to the Ravens considering the depth they had. 2.5 Offensive Line (OL) All guys on the offensive line finished above-average according to PFF. Unreal! The bad news is Marshal Yanda announced his retirement, which leaves a glaring hole at right guard. Yanda played 88% of the offensive snaps and finished as the 4th-best guard in the league (out of 81 guys). His replacement will have big shoes to fill. One of the main candidates to replace him is free agent D.J. Fluker, who is coming over from Seattle. The 29-year-old’s play has fairly dipped over the past three seasons after four promising years with the Chargers. Fluker graded out as the number 48 guard out of 81 players in 2019. Still, this is a very strong group, but expect a dropoff compared to last year. 2020 VS 2019 OFFENSE How can you not expect this unit to decrease its production? They were unbelievably effective last year. They are probably going to regress towards the mean. They didn’t add any key players on offense (except maybe rookie J.K. Dobbins?), while losing Hayden Hurst, Marshal Yanda and Seth Roberts. Teams have had several months to find ways to slow down Lamar Jackson and company. It’s highly unlikely that his numbers improve over the 2019 campaign. Also notice how the Ravens’ offense didn’t suffer any big injury all season long to key players. It may not be the case once again in 2020. Injuries occur on a regular basis in the NFL. Final call (2020 vs 2019): Moderate downgrade
3. Defensive Position-by-Position Breakdown
3.1 Defensive Linemen (DLs) The Ravens had three guys on the interior of the defensive line: Brandon Williams, Michael Pierce and Chris Wormley. Each of them received “ok” ratings from PFF, as they finished 67th, 45th and 63rd respectively (out of 114 inside defenders). Pierce and Wormley are gone. However, the team acquired Derek Wolfe from the Broncos. He recorded 7 sacks in 12 games last year and he ranked as the 46th-best inside defender. Justin Madubuike was taken early in the 3rd round of this year’s draft. He seems like a boom-or-bust player. He’s athletic, but he is a bit short and light. He’s more likely to become a backup in the NFL. 3.2 Defensive Ends (DEs) / Edge Rushers (ED) Matthew Judon led the way with 9.5 sacks and Tyus Bowser got a career-high 5 sacks in 2019. Both are above-average rushers. As for Jaylon Ferguson and Jihad Ward, they received fairly bad marks from PFF. The Ravens made a big splash by acquiring Calais Campbell from the Jaguars. The 33-year old may slow down in 2020, but his numbers have been impressive. He has averaged 8 sacks per season over an 11-year period! He’s also been extremely durable; he has not missed a game since 2014. As a matter of fact, he’s played at least 13 games in each of his 12 years in the NFL! He finished the 2019 season as the #2 edge defender according to PFF (only behind T.J. Watt from the Steelers). 3.3 Linebackers (LBs) Patrick Onwuasor and Josh Bynes received a good share of playing time. However, both are gone. Onwuasor was the #73 linebacker while Bynes got a surprisingly high 6th spot out of 89 linebackers. The only inside LB left with playing experience is L.J. Fort. He’s a 30-year old veteran who has played for five teams. He doesn’t look to be the long-term answer. The good news is the Ravens selected Patrick Queen from LSU with the 28th overall pick last April. The main knock on him is clearly is lack of experience since he’s was a one-year starter in college. However, his game film is impressive. He is very fast and he diagnoses plays quickly. He may be the only NFL-caliber linebacker the team has on their roster. It’s not as bad as it looks since Baltimore often plays with six DBs and one LB. Malik Harrison, who was picked late in the third round out of Ohio State, might get some limited playing time. 3.4 Cornerbacks (CBs) The Ravens have a strong group here, even though Brandon Carr was let go. The team still has Marlon Humphrey (37th-best CB), Marcus Peters (4th-best CB) and Jimmy Smith (42nd-best CB). Baltimore has a lot of ammunition and don’t need to worry about this position. 3.5 Safeties (S) Earl Thomas is a safe value. He’s been consistently good throughout his career and at 31 years old he still has a few good years left. Chuck Clark just signed a three-year contract and he deserved it. He really flourished in 2019 and finished 36th out of 87 safeties according to PFF. He is the main reason the team let Tony Jefferson go. 2020 VS 2019 DEFENSE Baltimore’s defense allowed the third fewest points in the league in 2019. They are still going to be difficult to score against. Calais Campbell was a great free agent acquisition. To a lesser degree, Derek Wolfe too. However, losing Michael Pierce, Chris Wormley, Patrick Onwuasor, Josh Bynes, Brandon Carr and Tony Jefferson will hurt. Most of these guys played about 50% of the snaps and will need to be replaced. The team has little to no depth at linebacker. Patrick Queen has a lot of pressure on his shoulders to step in and perform right away in his rookie season. Overall, I believe the Ravens defense will see a slight decrease in its effectiveness to stop opposing offenses. Final call (2020 vs 2019): Small downgrade
4. Regular Season Wins
According to sportsbooks, the Baltimore Ravens are expected to win 11.5 games this season. Should we bet the “over” or the “under”? Here is the methodology I used in order to answer this vital question:
Use BetOnline.ag’s point spreads on all 256 regular season games.
Convert those point spreads into win probabilities.
Simulate each of the 256 games, according to those win probabilities, via the R statistical software.
Repeat the previous step one million times (you get 1M simulated seasons).
Count the proportion of seasons where the Ravens won more or less than 11.5 games.
Here are the results:

Author’s Note: I just wrote 3500 words of gibberish. I’m washed boys. I’ll bold some of the highlights; but don’t punish yourself too much or expect a ton out of it. Reads more like a recap into decision making without a ton of time taken to walk through the individual pieces of that process. TLDR;
Don’t pin yourself down when drafting in the first 30 picks, don’t waste time on players that you are going to make every excuse to avoid drafting. Nut up and call the ball
CD #6 overall on Dallas’ board, Jones intent on him wearing #88, Amari on team friendly deal after 2021 season, Gallup’s contract is up after 2021 (early guess is Amari gone, Lamb/Gallup)
Leaned upside on Shenault after months of poo-pooing him. Great value right now in the early second
Trautman, 4 picks traded for him, top 40 player on the Saints boards
Measure your expectations—even through the excitement of a perfect draft realize that if you’re lucky you might have drafted a, one, uno, stud OR long-term fantasy player
Small side note, I have stepped down as Moderator. When I get passionate about something—well, I tend to go overboard...take a brief look at my post history. Either way summer is fast approaching, and it is just a good time to reprioritize things in life. Big note. This is not a traditional ranking of players. If that is your expectation, this will not be your cup of tea. This is my cathartic debrief and recap from my rookie draft season; I’ll throw out a few trains of thoughts on a few players, hopefully some interesting nuggets that’ll help people, but I understand if most are displeased.
Foreword
Another year in the books of discussing and allowing data & historical precedence to carry us through the months. Mentally I am already onto 2021 and will probably put out a “Notes on” soon. But for now, let us work through my final rankings of the 2020 class. Things obviously change, more data is pouring out of teams, the off-season will be unique due to COVID-19 and more information will come as our takes metastasize to our brain. This post is going to bring most people far less utility. Just the way I’ve written it, for that I am sorry. But I wanted to dig at my mindset while I was drafting less every potential hypothetical that we twist ourselves into knots over with these exercises. In order to deliver my usual posts it requires more nuance than I am willing to produce currently. Some may think, “why bother?” Well, my rookie drafts are done for the season and I thought it would be nice to have a conversation, and hopefully pull people into a broader conversation. Please bear with me, while I used data to assign tiers, much of the decisions making done within the tiers was done on feelings that emerged from digesting that data.
Quarterback Rankings
I have Burrow and Tua far closer than most people, they are tiered for me. Especially when there is a major discrepancy in draft value required to secure them, I will prioritize taking Tua. There is a good argument for Justin Herbert in the conversation, but I have never been high on his tools, and collegiate production. Love enters the conversation as the true definition of a “dynasty investment.” I would be willing to roster a few other guys; Hurts, Fromm, Eason, Gordon but I would not consider them any sooner than the third or fourth round of rookie drafts.
Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals [-]
Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins [-]
Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers [-]
Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers [-]
Running Back Rankings
Look at the last 20 years of bell-cow running backs with successful rushing QBs and almost all of them average 100+ scrimmage yards/game. Dobbins will be ranked higher than Taylor by the consensus sooner rather than later. Taylor is still a safe talent on a very good running team with limited competition (sorry Mack & Hines); but I’m not certain how anyone right now can ignore CEH or Dobbins. Below I’ll rank them in the order that’ll piss off the most people, but I would take the guy you can get for the best value in your draft. Today that might be Dobbins, tomorrow it might be Taylor. If you’re picking at 1, it’s a tough choice. Kansas City and Baltimore are well run programs. CEH collegiate profile was incomplete, only one year of stud production, but does that mean anything in Kansas City? Dobbins was special at Ohio State, but does that lack of preparation in year 2 seep back in now that he’s in the NFL? Is Taylor more concerned with owning Toppers’ Pizza locations in Madison WI than playing football? We all find our reasons to take our guys. Cam Akers and D’Andre Swift will share a tier, again take the guy you believe in or the guy you can get for the best value. Everyone else ranked is in a grab bag tier, grab them where-ever is most prudent, I’ve assigned rough values based on where I’ve seen them go and where I start considering taking them. Anyone not listed is considered a round 3/round 4 guy that I’m not concerning myself with. I may love the Anthony McFarland fit/pick but I am not going to waste more words on it. Rank change [-] speaks to the change of tiering in this case, not a change in position rank.

Am I missing a few guys? Absolutely I am. These are the guys, for the most part that I am targeting. In theory, Jerry Jeudy is my 2nd ranked wide receiver; Henry Ruggs is my 5th ranked receiver. When it comes down to molding a draft board; where I’m seeing Jeudy go I NEED one of my top 3 RBs; hell I’ll move up 1 or 2 spots to make sure it happens. Beyond that I am in the strong lean Akers > Jeudy camp. To further highlight this, I do like Jeudy. But in this moment..I want, CEH-Dobbins-Taylor-Akers, Burrow-Tua, and CeeDee over him. That means the earliest I am drafting Jeudy is 8 and the board has to fall that way. I'd have to be the Dallas Cowboys to have a pick in that range and also have the board fall that way. I'm just not getting Jeudy. I want Akers-Swift-Tua-Reagor-Jefferson where Ruggs commonly comes off the board. You should absolutely be considering Aiyuk when he slips into the second, or Claypool anywhere from the mid second on. You’ll figure that out—you’ll have your preferences. I have mine.
So here is the crux of all of this, three, real, live drafts and the results for them.
Teams are color-coated (no color alignment between drafts, bright red in Draft A is not the guy that is bright red in Draft C); my selections, the player’s name is highlighted in orange. Two of the drafts went to 4 rounds, a third to 6; at the time of this screen capture Draft C had just gotten through the third round.
Draft A
A freshly booted devy superflex league, TE premium, PP1D, draconian QB scoring (+6 touchdowns, -4 turnovers), QB/SF/1RB/1W1TE/5FLEX, 10 teams. Going into it the startup, I went stud-only early and then poured capital into Devy and Rookie picks. My baseline roster of note was Wentz-Wilson-Saquon-Nuk. Devy picks yielded Pickens, Garrett Wilson, Najee Harris. At 1.05, the pick was always CeeDee Lamb. My flair is Lamb Brigade, I’ve been on Lamb since before the season. The Cowboys’ having Lamb as their 6th rated player, and Jerry requesting that he wears Irvin and Dez’s #88 only solidifies it for me. This is dynasty. Cooper is on a team friendly deal after the 2021 season, Gallup is due for resigning after 2021, I trust Lamb to hit his markers (500+ yards year 1, better year 2). My expectation is a Marvin Harrison-Reggie Wayne or Andre Johnson-DeAndre Hopkins type come up. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t give JK Dobbins a thought—but it was CeeDee ForMe. Let’s be clear, Dobbins is the safer play here. I just have a favorite. Reading through this I want to further clarify this pick. It was a numbers game for me. I have Lamb >> Jeudy whereas I have Dobbins only > Akers. By counting the picks I liked my chances of getting Akers at 8. Didn't work out that way. At 1.08, I was originally hoping I might get my first share of Akers. That wasn’t to be and this particularly decision point wasn’t difficult either. I counted out the players I liked, Jefferson, Swift, Reagor, Tua; and asked myself who was going to be there at 2.01. Least likely to be there was Tua because of superflex and positional scarcity. There are absolutely some worlds I take one of the other 3; but not this one. At 2.01, best of the rest. Reagor was the easy choice for me. Let’s be clear here I am a huge fan of Reagor, had him as my WR2 coming into the 2019 season. Do not get caught expecting him to be a year 1 dynamo. Nothing would surprise me, in the same vein Ertz/Goedert will get there 200 targets and I suspect Alshon and DeSean will be in the gameplan to some degree (over under around 200 targets if healthy). Cap restraints make me reluctant to believe either player gets shipped before the season. There is room to consider Ruggs here instead of Reagor. At 2.03, this was my first Laviska share. It was perplexing to be honest. If you’ve read any of my work to this point—I think you’re surprised I have two shares of Laviska. Part of it was the post-draft interviews, Jacksonville talking about ‘Viska getting a good medical eval and that they believe his surgeries with good rehabilitation habits have corrected all of his nagging issues; probably a pipedream. There is an air of upside to this guy that I can’t shrug off, he has sink in his routes that are second to none in this class. When I looked around at Mims, Aiyuk, Love, Pittman, Hamler, Higgins, I simply do not feel the same about their profiles. Let’s highlight that, “I did not feel the same.” Toss in Fournette on his way out, myself being a bit of a Jay Gruden-stan, and Jacksonville and Viska hooking up that night to discuss their plans for him. I can’t shake the upside. This is a high-risk pick—but I LOVE this value in the early to mid-second. Even if he is a stud, I promise you I will joke until the end of the time that I expect him to be on my IR at any moment. At 2.10, my boy, Bryan Edwards. It’s been a long time. Two years of work and we finally made it. My first share of Bryan Edwards. I am led to believe that he was going to put up a great combine at 6-3, 215; he immediately slots in as their iso-X; and Mayock sang so many praises I had to catch my breath. This draft has been all heart for me and the statistical profiles of every one of these guys have my back. I was uneasy with letting Dillon go here. I frantically tried to trade up for him before and after the Edwards pick. Just such a good value for Dillon. I later found out that the 3.02 was insta-drafting either Edwards or Dillon so I was screwed either way and in my heart of hearts I’m glad I have Edwards. The one problem with this draft, no immediate starters to fill into those FLEX spots for this draft. I was so busy chasing my guys that I am criminally thin at RB on this roster (although I would have gone Akers at 8 to remedy this in the moment—probably not the best choice in hindsight); thankfully I had a good late draft, while people were scooping up third and fourth round rookie picks I was grab DeSean Jackson’s, Marvin Jones types that by week 4 or 5 of the coming season I should be more comfortable with my lineup.
Draft B
A newly acquired league that might be a little softcore for my tastes. I constantly have to remind myself that it’s only 4PT passing TD, 1QB and fairly small starting lineups for 12 teams (QB/2RB/2W1TE/2FLEX). The roster is pretty shallow for my tastes, but I do like the starting lineup, the most notable assets include Wentz-Elliott-Adams-Odell-Andrews. At 2.06, the board was already light. There were guys there we can convince ourselves of, but I was pretty much down to Edwards-Dillon-Tua-Burrow. The ground swell in the league suggested that a QB was likely going to be there at 2.12, even if I was just stashing Love for the next half decade; who cares it’s 2.12. Knowing that most of the league was aware of my online presence, I decided to go Edwards. Looking back at the move, I probably should have gone with the upside presented in AJ Dillon’s profile—but you’re trying to make the best out of a crap sandwich at this point in the draft, regardless of what anyone is trying to pump you full of. At 2.08, I lucked out and Dillon was there, easy insta-draft. At 2.12, I probably played myself. It’s 1QB, I don’t expect to have to start Tua year one, I have a general affinity for him—and let’s be honest; do you really want to bet significant money on who will have a better career? As you can tell—at this point I went full “screw it.” Will I come to regret the pick? Probably. Will it undermine my team in this league—in 1QB, 4pt passing TD, nah. At 3.10, I traded for this pick. Honestly, I had 3 concurrent rookie drafts running and I was patently sick of them. Waay too many people were running most of their 8 hour clocks and I was tired of waiting. I traded 2, 2020 4ths (became Quez Watkins and James Proche) and a 2021 4th to get up to 3.10 and end my draft. What if I told you the Saints traded not 1, not 2, but 4 picks to move up to get Trautman, and then after that came out and said that he was a top 40 rated player on their board. What if then, after that I told you their only tight end of note is 33 years old. Hi, one Adam Trautman please.
Draft C
This is the coup de grace. This is my Mona Lisa, so much went right, I don’t even know how to react. This league is superflex, ppr, 1QB/1SF/2RB/3W1TE/2FLEX/1DST, 12 teams, 6pt passing touchdowns. Tua went 1.01 because the 1.01-owner’s team (newly adopted orphan) is legitimately bad, full rebuild, he’s aiming Lawrence next year. He has Tua-Burrow evenly ranked, his hope is that Tua gets redshirted this year and does his team no good. The owner that selected both CEH and Jonathan Taylor considered Burrow over Taylor but is pretty solid at QB. The 2/3 owner tried literally everything to get 4/5 to acquire CeeDee. At one point he was offering Evans straight up. No dice. He had quite the run of attempts to trade, and they were clear overpays by most people’s standards, no one wanted to budge; he did it all throughout the first and second rounds. We all assumed Burrow at 4, it’s the only reason an overpay won’t work, right? BOOM, Jeudy. At this point I don’t know what to do with my hands. The #5 owner was planning Dobbins 100% of the way and never expected Burrow to be right there. He’s trying everything to get out of the #5 pick and turn it into gold. The 2/3 owner is throwing everything and the kitchen sink at him—not good enough. I’m sweating bullets for my Lamb share..and finally the #5 relents and takes Burrow. Examples like this, is why I tell people not to just draft a guy and assume they'll get a kings-ransom elsewhere. Sure 1-3 teams in that superflex league might be interested, but in the moment, at likely his cheapest price no one expressed interest in Burrow. Don't expect that to change suddenly over night. To further that example, If Ruggs some how falls to you at 2.06 and you don't like him, don't suddenly expect that'll you'll be able to turn him for a profit later--the league, or at least the people on the board and active on that day are telling you they really aren't that interested. At 1.06, I take Lamb. The Draft A and C were running pretty close to one another so when I was on the clock (many shared owners between A & C) in A, I was waiting for my pick in C so that I could ensure I didn’t get sniped for Lamb. Reasons above described why I’m all in on Lamb—past post history just furthers it. Why listen to me when you can listen to the mountains of pundits. At 1.07, this was the beauty. This was the death blow, I can’t believe I got Dobbins here. Just a stupid bit of luck that the 1.01 owner is getting cute (who knows it may work), the 1.04 owner was glued to Jeudy, and the 1.05 owner felt he couldn’t pass on Burrow. I attempt to make plays for Reagor and Akers as they fell, no dice anywhere. At 2.04, at this point I had my first share of Viska in Draft A, this being Draft C; I just followed through on my convictions. I did consider Aiyuk but felt no loyalty to that pick. Taking perceived upside. At 2.08, again I went heart. In this draft I was quite afraid there were 2 people that would snipe me on Edwards just to mess with me. We are a pretty good bunch and atleast 1 of them is fully aware of my interest in Edwards, the other 1 should have had an inkling after we facetimed through day 1 and day 2. Both picked between 2.04 and 3.04 so I wasn’t going to take the risk. Part of me wishes I would have taken Dillon and risked Edwards for 3.04, but it is what it is. I did put out offers to try to get Dillon, in hindsight I could have gotten something done at 2.10 if I was a little more forthcoming and persistent, so that kind of sucks. At 3.04, the original plan was Gibson with the way the board was falling. Didn’t happen that way. I had already taken Trautman in Draft A and was well aware of the boons assigned to his profile, 3.04 was my last pick of note in this draft so while closing my eyes to the availability of Moss-Kelley-Hamler; I see the upside and might regret it again—fatigue of the process and a need in that league for TE drove me back to Trautman.
RECAP
How did I come to my decisions? A lot of it was based on profile and statistical modeling. Even the best prospects by any modeled outcome have a 50-50 chance of succeeding. Most of your top prospects in any given year it’s about 20%. Try to make good value decisions, try to value more complete profiles, consider all of the intel out there on prospects but at the end of the day; who am I? Who am I to say CeeDee is going to succeed and do it big? I’m not, and I won’t; I just believe based on every piece of data out there that I like my odds of the coin flipping what I call. Same goes with Dobbins, Taylor, Clyde Edwards-Helaire. They just scream “I have a role and I’m going to give you fantasy points.” We aren’t honest enough with ourselves when we draft these guys. I can speak glowingly of each and everyone one of my guys—hell I can speak negatively about the guys I drafted (Hi Laviska) but none of that matters, what matters is what the board looks like when it is your turn to draft, what it will look like after you draft, and whether any of it matters.
Tips to Help You with Your Upcoming Draft
Go watch post-draft coach/GM interviews. They are fluff, they’ll say things that you’ll wrongly assign value to; there is a good argument that I’ve done that above. But some of them are going to tease to you just how highly they valued a guy (Diontae Johnson, round 1, Bruce Arians miffed that the Steelers sniped him), like Trautman, like Lamb. Will it eventually make these guys more successful? Nah, but it may just tell us how much rope a prospect has..
Statistical models aren’t the end all be all—but dismissing them entirely is foolhardy at best, they are built to give you better odds. Problem is people like to make all their decisions on those odds. Does it matter if a model assigns a 22% probability to player A and a 19% probability of success to player B? Generally no, models based on football data do not have that level of viability. As a rule of thumb say a range of predicted success is 1% to 50%. I would consider the margins probably about 10 percentage points, so generally buckets guys between 40-50, 30-40, etc etc. But if one guy is 41% and another guy is 39% I'd say the decision point is muddled and unclear, but if one guys is 41% and the other guy is 29%, then I'd consider it; even then it's roughly 2:5 and 1:3 odds, are they really all that discernible in practice?
Understand a players role, watch for yourself, and listen to others. I’d say my evaluation process is about 30% defining for myself, 20% listening to others, 30% statistical models, and 10% bias developed from learning about the player as a person, 10% hype baby.
Nothing is the end all be all. I think I’ve highlighted that at every turn. We are going to pin ourselves to X means they’ll be successful. It could be a key/a tell at a player's potential, it likely is not.

100% up to $300 sports betting bonus
This sports betting welcome bonus is simple: Leo Vegas Casino will match your first deposit up to $300. This is also one of the best betting bonuses around for Canadians and gives a flying start for players wagering, for example, NHL, Premier League, NFL, or NBA. By the way, this LeoVegas sports bonus is available only to Canadian residents, so we’re in luck. On top of a fabulous mobile offering, LeoVegas dishes out lavish bonuses for new Canadian customers. They offer a four-stage deposit bonus loyalty program.
Wagering requirements
As they always do at online gambling, LeoVegas’ bonuses come with a wagering requirement. However, for Canadian customers, the wagering minimum is only 25x. Playing popular games at Leovegas, this wagering requirement means that you need to wager your bonuses 25 times using your bonus funds before you can withdraw the bonus or any winnings. Some casinos offer no wagering free spins, but they are not comparable for LeoVegas deposit bonus.
Restricted Games
You can play the bonus for the full amount in any classic slot or jackpot slot games. Classic slots or video slots give you the best chance to wager your bonuses. However, note that in table games such as Blackjack and Roulette, the bonus contributions are only 10%, so we do not recommend playing those table games with your bonus money. LeoVegas is lax with its bonuses when it comes to minimum deposits. Casino players don’t need to aim anywhere near the maximum bonus amount to receive the extra free spins. Leovegas offers are unique as many other casinos limit your real-money free spin winnings to $20. The only requirement you need to clear before cashing out is 25x wagering.

Game Providers
Leo Vegas does not create casino games; they simply have games from various software providers. Top gaming providers such as NetEnt, Microgaming, NextGen, Evolution Gaming, IGT, Play’n Go, and other 34 developers. There have included some smaller-name casino software providers like QuickSpin, Thunderkick, and Yggdrasil. While not as famous as something like Microgaming or the mighty NetEnt, these companies have excellent mobile slots that you need to try. Play a spin or two (or a few hundred) of Big Bad Wolf, and you’ll find out why we recommend games by these three companies. LeoVegas has some of those legendary slots (Mega Fortune, Mega Moolah and Mega Moolah Isis) with massive progressive jackpots as well. Video poker and table games haven’t been forgotten either-or ‘normal’ jackpot games.
Leo Vegas Sportsbook
Leo Vegas has a Canada-friendly sportsbook where you can bet on all your favourite sports. LeoVegas hasn’t been in the betting business for long, but it’s already making an impact in Canada. While the LeoVegas Sportbook section doesn’t have quite the same selection of leagues and events as Betway, it does have Leo Vegas’ signature touch: it’s supremely mobile friendly. Betting with your cell phone or tablet is a pleasure, as Leo’s sportsbook is noticeably fast. This is something we’re still not experiencing across the board in 2020! It’s beyond comprehension how mobile sportsbooks are so slow on many gambling sites, but LeoVegas is a welcome exception to this rule. The quickness matters with live betting especially, now you don’t miss a critical in-play bet just because the website was still loading. You can find a comprehensive array of Canadian sports and divisions at LeoVegas. You can naturally place a bet in the NHL, CFL, UFC, or other big leagues, but they also offer more marginal sports such as horse racing, cycling, or even surfing. >>Get Free Spins Bonus Now<<

Leo Vegas – King of Mobile Casinos
Leo Vegas has from the start concentrated on mobile online gambling. You can play all its top casino games on modern mobile devices. Supported devices include all iPhones and iPads, as well as Android phones and tablets. Even Blackberry and Windows phones and tablets are ok. For Android, there’s an optional LeoVegas mobile casino app for mobile gaming. Other than that, there’s no need for casino apps to jump into action on LeoVegas mobile devices.
Leo Vegas Mobile App
You don’t need an app to play.. So, if you have an iPhone, you simply gamble at Leo Vegas’ website. For Android phones and tablets, LeoVegas has an optional app you can download by following instructions you’ll find after registering at the Leovegas mobile casino. However, most players skip downloading the app. It’s a bit cumbersome as it requires changing a couple of Android’s standard settings. Especially as playing on a mobile device works equally well. Usually, our bonus experts stay with one mobile casino for a couple of days to find out whether there are kinks in the mobile experience. But, we realized LeoVegas is pretty damn good when we noticed our experts had had accounts at LeoVegas for months. The draw here is that besides being technically perfect for Android and Apple devices, the mobile casino has big promotions for existing players. These promos are bound to make you pop back to Leo to play your free spins and other real money casino bonuses. >>Get Free Spins Bonus Now<<

First I would like to say thank you for reading and I hope everyone is staying safe and doing their part to reduce the impact on our healthcare system by locking yourself in. It's nice to see most of society working together(well not right next to each other XD) to do their part in limiting the spread and impact on our society as a whole. It will be a great feeling at the end of the summer when everyone is healthy and the NFL is back! If you live in NJ, I hope you are spending your extra free time online, playing poker, preferably at WSOP, PARTY or Stars..... specifically at the games I play. Hehe :D Anyway, I haven't written anything about sports betting since I posted the last NBA article on I think March 11th. That was quite an ironic day for me with sports betting and this article. I had posted about missing a bit of time due to poker and March 11th, through the rest of the month, was going to be a time of re-dedication to the NBA season and tweaking my algo. That post did very well with the singles going 5-3 (+11.26u) before the night games were postponed. I was half way to setting up my whiteboards and plastering my walls with plasterboard to saturate myself with NBA data and finish the season with the Lakers, on the highest of notes...Then...Gobert..then.. night games postponed...then ...season postponed... :( Here's how that last post finished up: Last Post Recap: Singles (5-3, +11.26u): Fantastic boost here. The Philly odds boosts were a nice hit) Parlay (0-3, -4u) Lost all three here, the MIA ml really hurt :X BBDLS (0-1, -1u) Go big or go home! Final Season Numbers: Today's Singles (Overall Total:(8-13, +3.21U) Basic Parlay (0-5, -5.5U): BIG BOY DADDY LONG SHOT PARLAY(0-2, -2.1U) Teaser (0-0, 0u) Overall this NBA season we went: 8-20, -4.39u. This nets us our first losing ROI in the 4 seasons of doing this @ -15.68% I know that number looks bad, but we have to take into account that this is an extremely small sample size. 28 Bets is sometimes what we have bet in a single article in previous seasons and past data has shown that my Parlay and BBDLS bets are more long term plays. All in all, it sucks to have my first -ROI but this season definitely has an asterisk next to it due to the small sample size so I can't be too critical of myself on this one. In other news, looking back over my post history I realized I never summarized my NFL post season bets and final ROI on the NFL season. This is a shame, especially since my SuperBowl post ABSOLUTELY KILLED IT! I think I have been overwhelmed with the amount of poker I have been playing this year, leaving me a little distracted here. So! Keep an eye out for a summary post of the NFL post season and total season numbers. It will be short and sweet and I may just include all the numbers from all the seasons just to have them all in one place. I will be taking the full month of April to be playing all of the wonderful online tournament series that will be running in NJ in April. I want to thank everyone for following along and if you're curious to see how I make a living, show some love and let me know in the comments and maybe I'll finally take the time figure out how to get a Twitch stream running. :D Stay healthy! https://preview.redd.it/dvaixsojutq41.jpg?width=1000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a657a275fc39b7f7dbad9fb85a3bd99438f0e136
My name is Russ and I am a compulsive gambler. My last bet was April 2nd 2019. Back to Step Work for this blog and Step 8 is the next one up. I’ve gotten so much out of working the Steps it really has helped me on my recovery journey. As usual, anything in bold or italics is from the worksheet, the rest is my own. Step 8: Made a list of all persons we had harmed and became willing to make amends to them all. Step 8, Exercise 1 Write about: In what ways (spiritually, emotionally, mentally, physically, financially) did you harm yourself through gambling. List and write about them. Be specific. Spiritually - Psychology Today states “Spirituality can mean different things to different people. For some, it's primarily about participation in organized religion. For others, it's a non-religious experience that involves getting in touch with their spiritual selves through private prayer, yoga, meditation, quiet reflection, or time in nature.” So, with that, considering I am not a religious person and I don’t want to avoid answering this part of the step I am going to focus on the non-religious part. I view spirituality as getting in touch with your inner self, being able to focus and improve the inner me and the only thing my addiction did was make me truly hate who I was deep inside. The further I got into my addiction, the deeper I dug my own hole, the more I hated and resented who I was. Gambling was destroying the inner me so much that I had no idea who I was anymore. Emotionally - My addiction made me emotionally numb, I couldn’t feel anything for anyone, not even myself. At the start I would be emotional about wins and losses but towards the end I didn’t care anymore. When I look back now I can see the vicious cycle I was stuck in, I’ll try to explain it here. I gambled to escape, I fully believe that. What was I escaping from? Who I was inside was one, gambling would allow me to escape that person for a short time. The real world, responsibilities, gambling allowed me to escape those as well. Emotions though, these were the big things I feel like I was escaping from. They were always something I have struggled with, expressing them, being honest about how I felt, controlling them and gambling allowed me to escape having to deal with them. When I gambled it would numb my emotions, I thought I was happy when gambling but really I was just escaping. I didn’t feel anything, the addiction took over and it was like I was on autopilot. At that point though I thought I was controlling my emotions by gambling. The chasing my losses came when the money was about to run out and I realised I would have to go back into the real world and no longer would I feel safe the way I did in my online world of gambling. So I would chase my losses to get more fuel to allow me to escape longer. The longer I could escape the more numb my emotions became until I came back to reality once the fuel finally ran out. I couldn’t deal with who I was, responsibilities or emotions in the real world so I desperately needed to get more money to get allow me to escape. This was the cycle I was stuck in. I didn’t realise at the time that gambling was causing a lot of this damage because I was blinded by my addiction. Towards the end I still had that small hope, that little thought that somehow, someway, I could gamble my way out of this mess. That was the addiction talking and thinking for me because it had totally consumed me. Mentally - I was a broken man when I finally owned up to my partner about my gambling addiction. It was like my brain had put me into a nosedive and was flying me towards rock bottom. The weekend before I asked for help I could feel that sensation, that sense of inevitability. This was going to end in disaster unless I reached out for help. The thing that scared me the most about asking for help and admitting my problem was at the time I knew I would lose the one thing I loved the most in this whole world. It wasn’t my kids, it wasn’t my partner, it was gambling. Even at that point, after all it had put me through, I was still terrified that I would never be able to gamble again. That’s how mentally broken I had become. I loved gambling, I still do in a weird way but that’s for another time. My addiction had pushed me to the edge, my mental edge of how much I could take at that moment. I think addiction has a real bend but don’t break mentality. It wants to push us to that edge, to push us far enough that we still come back to it each time. Once it breaks you though, there only seems to be two options, recovery or death. I still can’t believe I admitted to my partner I had a problem, but I did and it’s saved my life. “You hear that, Mr. Anderson? That is the sound of inevitability. It is the sound of your death. Goodbye, Mr. Anderson.” Agent Smith Physically - I wouldn’t eat healthy when gambling because I saw it as a waste of my money. I would live on energy drinks, coffee and biscuits while at work. Have dinner at home and snack into the wee hours while gambling on shite tennis in the middle of nowhere. I didn’t exercise (to be fair I still don’t) but I wouldn’t want to leave the house at all when I was gambling. Lack of sleep was another massive thing for me. It wasn’t unusual for me to be sitting up until 4am and then waking up with the kids at 6am. Doing that day after day eventually catches up with you. I’d crash early one night then just repeat the cycle. I was constantly late for work as I couldn’t motivate myself to get up and get going. I was a mess. Financially - Gambling has destroyed me financially when I look at it. I’ve debt that will take me 10 years to pay off at the current rate, my credit rating is destroyed and I have to deal with the consequences of my actions for a long time. I’ll probably never be fully trusted with money by my partner and anytime something happens with regards to money the first thought in everyone's mind will be was I gambling. The chance to buy a nice car or house in the near future are out the window and I have to make do with what I have at the moment. This next part is going to sound super selfish because when it comes to finances I don’t care how long it takes to pay back, it will be paid back eventually. I don’t focus on it, I’m in no rush. Now, it has impacted other people as well which I will get to in the next section, but for me personally my attitude to it all is...it is what it is. Make a detailed list of all others you harmed through your gambling. Describe how you harmed them. Be specific. My Partner - This links nicely after the financial section above because, although it isn’t the main issue, I believe my partner has been hurt by me financially. Now all the debt is in my name, it is my own debt, but obviously there is the wasted money and the money I am paying out each month in debt repayments. More importantly though is the lies, the hurt, the bullshit I have put her through over the years. She said to me recently, “you are so in touch with your emotions now when for years you didn’t give a fuck about mine when you were sitting up all night gambling.” She’s not wrong. My behaviour has definitely had an effect on our relationship. My Kids - I’m lucky in a way that my kids are so young that I probably have a chance to make things right with them. They are blissfully unaware at the moment about my gambling addiction but it is something I will talk to them about when they are older. What I do know I have done to them is shouted at them for no reason, making them feel bad because I was having a shit time gambling. I ignored them to gamble. I made them feel like they were annoying me when they were fighting for my attention and affection. Bottom line is, they played number 2 to my gambling, to my addiction. My Parents - The bank of Mum and Dad was a thing I took the piss with right up until I was 32. I was constantly borrowing money, of course all based on lies, and then struggling to pay it back. When I struggled I just assumed they would be ok to wait but I didn’t think how that made them feel. Turns out it made them feel awful because they didn’t like asking for the money back. I used them as a babysitting service but could barely muster up a conversation with them. My Mum had cancer during my addiction and I never asked her how she was, I didn’t show concern, I just let her get on with it. I also hurt them by not feeling like I could open up to them about how I was really feeling. Other Family Members - Birthdays, anniversaries, visits, whatever it was I was on my phone gambling and ignoring what was going on. I didn’t want to be at these things because they were getting in the way of my gambling and I was anti-social at events. More than that, I was an ignorant bastard. January 2019 my Granda passed away and at the funeral everyone was so emotional, I didn’t understand. I didn’t feel anything. It makes me feel terrible now but that’s just the truth, I couldn’t feel anything because my addiction had destroyed my emotions. My Friends - The amount of lies I told my friends, from why I couldn’t go out to why I needed to borrow money from them. It was all the time and got worse over time. I owed my friends so much money and on top of that I stole from the NFL fantasy football leagues I run. I broke the trust of everyone close to me, I lied to their face or over text, I avoided them when I had to pay back money. My Job - Honestly, I’ve no idea how I’m employed. In fact, I got a promotion during my addiction, towards the end of it. My productivity was terrible, my interactions with other staff members was awful and my level of customer service was a disgrace. This is worse because I am dealing with vulnerable people. Step 8, Exercise 2 Write about: Review your lists from Step 8, Exercise 1. Are you carrying any guilt or shame over the harm you did to others? Are you still angry or blaming others for the harm done to you? Write about your feelings of guilt, shame, anger or blame. Currently I have to say I am still ashamed of what I have done in the past and how my actions, especially those to my family, have affected them. I didn’t lose any relationships over this addiction, although that doesn’t mean it can’t happen if I do not keep up with my recovery. When it comes to anger and blaming others for the harm done to me I never experienced that in recovery. From day one I fully accepted I was to blame for my addiction and although the gambling industry could be doing a lot more, the bottom line is, no one held a gun to my head and made me gamble. Plus, if any bookmaker had stopped me when I was gambling I would have just found another one. The person who needed to change was me. Choose a way (visually, symbolically, spiritually or physically) to release your feelings of guilt, shame, anger or blame. Describe this process of letting go and how you felt afterward. I still get feelings of shame when I go back and write about certain things that have happened in the past but in general I feel like I am in an ok place. Writing has really helped me process thoughts and feelings of guilt and shame and the other thing that has helped me was understanding and accepting the serenity prayer. “Grant me the serenity, To accept the things I cannot change, The courage to change the things I can, And the wisdom to know the difference” Are there any legal or financial situations you created while gambling with which you will need additional assistance or support to make direct amends/repayments? Are you willing to ask for help with them (i.e. from a sponsor, Pressure Relief group, employer, court system, bank/creditor)? Yes, I am currently in a Debt Management Plan which is through Step Change debt charity and they have helped me massively. Russ
Wassssssup Reddit. Not gonna lie - I’m feeling pretty good right now. I just had a big win at Bovada casino (not for the first time) and I’ve seen so many of you’s on here bemoaning Bovada, saying it’s not legit, it’s not this, it’s not that, it cheats blah blah blah. I’ve gotta say - I’ve always had an ace time on Bovada. Sure, I’ve won some, lost some but that’s gambling - that’s the way it is, bro! Can’t win it all the time. Anyways I decided now’s the time to write a Bovada review (because I’m sick of the one sided Bovada reviews out there) for y’all because I’ve never seen so many Bovada haters in my life. In the sake of fairness I’ll also touch on a few aspects I don’t like about it too. Interface Real clean. Easy to navigate. Casino Games Spoilt for choice. Whether you wanna get lit playing blackjack, roulette, craps or poker, Bovada’s got a lot of choice. True, there’s not as many blackjack variations as there used to be but there’s still plenty to choose from, including Double Blackjack. Plus, you’ve always got a chance of winning. I turned $25 into $1200 the other week, no fooling. Slots Solid chance of winning on the hundreds of slots available. Maybe it’s just me but they seem to tighten up a bit when you’re using a bonus but again that could be me IsBovadaSafe? Safe as houses. It’s been around since 2011 and uses a secure SSL-encrypted connection to keep your details safe. In all my time I’ve been there I’ve never had a thing to worry about. Bovada Payouts Yeah, the payouts can be a bit slow but so can all gambling sites. Bitcoin is super fast so I recommend you use that but bank transfer takes a few days, maybe even a week IDK I don’t use it anymore. Fees This bit sucks. If you make a deposit using your credit or debit card, you’ll be charged a 5.9% fee. Again, I recommend you use Bitcoin as there are zero fees involved. International currency conversions are a bummer so I’ve heard too. Is Bovada legal in the U.S.? Yeah eSports? You bet, dawg. Bovada got the likes of LoL, StarCraft and Dota 2. OK it’s not the hugest selection of eSports games going but it’s got all the biggest names. Sportsbook? Bovada is actually the biggest US online sportsbook. There’s a huge amount of markets including baseball, NBA, NFL, NHL, tennis, horse riding, soccer etc. Honestly, it’s really cool and there are plenty of in-play options.
Yo guys, I know a lot of you are wondering if BetOnline is a) a legit gambling site and b) is BetOnline safe? Well, I joined a year or so ago and I’ve actually made a decent amount of money out of it (not gonna lie, I haven’t made a great amount but I’m not an all-star gambler, I just do it for the fun). Anyhow, I decided to put together a little BetOnline review for the Reddit community because this place has given me a lot of help over the years with other stuff. So for what it’s worth, here’s my 2 cents regarding BETONLINE: Is BetOnline legit? Yes. It’s been around since 2002. It’s also legal in all U.S. states. Perfectly safe, no need to worry about depositing money with your credit card. As I said, I’ve been using it for over a year and had absolutely no issues Good sportsbook? BetOnline is a very good sportsbook for American sports. Some international sports are offered but the focus is primarily on the likes of NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB. Banking options? Very varied. As well as credit and debit card, you can fund your account with Skrill, Bitcoin and LiteCoin (among others). Strangely, PayPal isn’t an option Also, it’s a bit frustrating that you have to stump up a 6% deposit fee if you use your card. I don’t think any other gambling site charges such a fee! s Free plays? BetOnline occasionally offer free plays to gamblers. I’ve had a couple. They’re ok but a bit of a pain in the ass in the sense that you have to meet wagering requirements before you can even withdraw any winnings. And the rollover rate seems a bit arbitrary Payout process? Slow (but that’s the case with most gambling sites apparently. It takes over a week for the funds to arrive in your bank account but it’s faster if you use an eWallet. Something to think about) Other than that, you’ve just gotta be patient with the payout process. It bothered me at first but I honestly don’t think about it anymore. And to be honest I usually just leave most of winnings in my BetOnline account anyway and use them to fund more gambling Customer service? Slow. Again, you’ll need lots of patience if you’ve got a question BetOnline cheating? Yeah, this is a weird one. There were accusations that BetOnline had done some strange stuff in the past (and I looked into it and things like confiscating winnings is apparently true) … but apparently they’ve also cleaned up their act. And honestly nothing like that has ever happened to me. Conclusion of my BetOnline review I like BetOnline and I do recommend it, but it’s not the number 1 U.S. gambling site IMO. I prefer Bovada but it’s always a good idea to open a few accounts with different sites.
Good boy rating: 7/10 Charity link Starting out with my Raiders most hated rivals, the Broncos most good boy is Von Miller, a 6-time Pro-Bowl OLB. The biggest knock to his good boy-ness came in 2013, when he was suspended for violating the league's rules on drugs. He apologised and has done a lot to help restore his character. Von is a big supporter of our troops, and has a foundation to help kids get glasses.
Kansas City Chiefs Good boy: Eric Berry
Good boy rating: 11/10 Charity link If this were a test to see what player would be the toughest boy, Eric Berry would win. After playing 5 seasons in the NFL, Eric Berry was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma, but was back on the football field a year later. Berry has suffered several injuries throughout his playing career, including a torn ACL in 2011, a high ankle sprain in 2014, and a ruptured Achilles this past season. As a Raiders fan, I find it very hard to root against him. He is exceedingly inspirational, and an overall great person. Eric runs The Eric Berry Foundation, which provides beneficial opportunities and a safe environment for children to participate in team sports and leadership development programs in order to encourage strength of body, mind and spirit. Eric also travels with mobile medical clinics, even going to Ugandan villages in 2013 and 2014.
Los Angeles Chargers Good boy: Philip Rivers
Good boy rating: 9/10 Charity link Rivers is known for being a fantastic leader and great trash talker. A 7 year boy fighting two different types of cancer in LA wanted nothing other than to meet Philip, so Philip got in a car, drove two hours each way just to meet him, and watched a Ravens-Chargers game with him. Rivers said, "there was a kid that could be dying any day, and he wants to meet me of all people. This 7-year-old could make any wish and he wants to hang out with me. Man, you don't turn that one down." Philip’s charity is Rivers of Hope, a free 24 hour crisis line.
Oakland Raiders Good boy: Derek Carr
Good boy rating: 10/10 Charity link Now for my favorite Good boy. This one was tough because I had to come up with a fair and unbiased rating for him. Derek is a fantastic man that is not shy to stand up for what he believes in. He is very involved in his faith, and works closely with Valley Children’s to help sick children. After signing his $125mil contract, the biggest contract in NFL history at the time, Derek was very excited to talk about all the positive ways he will spend his money, saying, “The exciting thing for me money-wise, honestly, is this money is going to help a lot of people. I’m very thankful to have it, that it’s in our hands because it’s going to help people. Not only in this country, but in a lot of countries around the world. That’s what’s exciting to me.”
Houston Texans Good boy: JJ Watt
Good boy rating: 37,000,000/10 Charity link Everyone knew this one was coming. The Walter Payton Man of the Year winner this season, JJ Watt made headlines after raising $37,000,000 for Hurricane Harvey relief. He not only raised that substantial amount, but he also did as much as he could by going out and giving the men and women of Houston food and water. Although it took a detour to help after a disaster hit home, JJ’s foundation, “mission is to provide after-school opportunities for middle-school aged children in the community to become involved in athletics, so that they may learn the character traits of accountability, teamwork, leadership, work ethic, and perseverance, while in a safe and supervised environment with their peers.”
Indianapolis Colts Good boy: Darius Butler
Good boy rating: 7/10 Charity link This player is probably one one of lesser known good boys, but it is not undeserved. Darius’ foundation strives to help feed the hungry and inspire kids in rough communities. His father served 11 years in the Army, so Darius knew the importance of life and the cruel, uncaring void that we call a universe.
Sacksonville Jaguars Good boy: Blake Bortles
Good boy rating: 7/10 Charity link Blake Bortles is anything but trash. A mid-tier starter on the field, Blake gets a lot of hate thrown his way. He has become a fan favorite after upsetting several teams who called him and his team garbage. Off the field, he is a fan favorite for his goofy, awkward interview with Barstool, and his fantastic charity which supports first responders in the Jacksonville area, and helps people with intellectual and developmental disabilites persue full and indepent lives.
Tennessee Titans Good boy: Delanie Walker
Good boy rating: 10/10 Charity link Everything I hear about Delanie is positive. He has broken out the past 4 years, getting over 800 yards 4 seasons in a row as Marcus Mariota’s go-to receiver, and he has taken advantage of his success on the field and used to to spread awareness and help those less fortunate than himself. You may remember him offering to let bullying victim Keaton Jones come to a Titans game. His foundation stands to provide inner city and low-income children with educational opportunites and resources to reach their full potential.
Baltimore Ravens Good boy: Joe Flacco
Good boy rating: 6/10 Charity link Joe Flacco is elite in the hearts of Ravens fans everywhere. He has fully embraced Maryland and the Baltimore area, spending a lot of time working for the community. While he doesn’t have his own foundation, Joe has worked with several other charities, most notably The Red Devils of Maryland, a breast cancer foundation. He has also worked with several of other Raven’s players foundations, including Ray Rice, Ben Grubbs, Derrick Mason, and Ed Reed.
Cincinnati Bengals Good boy: Andy Dalton
Good boy rating: 8/10 Charity link Andy is a fellow Texan and ginger, so I will always support him and his fire crotch. Andy’s foundation became famous after he put the Bills in the playoffs and fans donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to it. The foundation, run by his wife, does several things for Cincinnati and Texan communities, including bring technology, educational resources, and entertainment devices to schools and hospitals, a daycare for parents of sick kids so they can go and have a date night, a all-expense-paid trip to a theme park for sick kids, a fund for medical equipment that goes to the families of sick children, and trips to children hospitals from Santa and his Elves.
Cleveland Browns Good boy: Joe Thomas
Good boy rating: 10/10 Charity link Joe Thomas is known for being a dedicated player, sticking with a franchise that shoots itself in the foot repeatedly. He is a fan favorite for being a super cool dude. He doesn’t have his own foundation, but is a huge advocate of Shoes and Clothes for Kids, which gives shoes and clothes to kids. One thing is for sure, Joe Thomas isn’t as terrible as his franchise is.
Pittsburgh Steelers Good boy: Alejandro Villanueva
Good boy rating: 11/10 Charity Alejandro, a former Army Ranger, is a massive supporter of the military. After bring national attention to himself after accidentally standing away from his team, his jersey sales spiked, and he donated all of the money he got from them to the USO and other military non-profits.
Buffalo Bills Good boy: Andy Dalton
Good boy rating: 12/10 Charity link Andy is a fellow Texan and ginger, so I will always support him and his fire crotch.
Miami Dolphins Good boy: Kenny Stills
Good boy rating: 4/10 Charity link I honestly had no idea to pick for the Dolphins. Jarvis Landry, Ryan Tannehill, and Cameron Wake don’t seem to have favorite charities, and Jay Cutler’s foundation is shut down, or at least doesn’t have a website or anything. Most of the charity work I found under Jay Cutler is from years ago. Kenny was their Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee and is active in the stand against social injustice.
New England Patriots Good boy: Nate Solder
Good boy rating: 6.9/10 Charity link Nate protected Jimmy G’s beautiful face for a couple games. He also did some charity work or something with kids or something, but he protected Jimmy G’s face. But in all seriousness, Nate is a great guy. He works with the Patriots foundation to help build playground for kids.
New York Jets Good boy: Quincy Enunwa
Good boy rating: 7/10 Charity link A lot of people may have forgotten about Quincy, but I haven’t. He’s a great slot receiver, a real gym rat. He won United Way of NYC’s Hometown Hero award, and works with NYC PAL to help kids play sports.
Dallas Cowboys Good boy: Jason Witten
Good boy rating: 11/10 Charity link Jason is a stand up dude on and off the field. I always thought he ran real weird though. That doesn’t matter though, he’s a cool dude. His foundation helps with NFL Play 60, and helps put positive influences in battered women’s shelters all over Texas. I implore you to go to his charity link and read about all the things his foundation does. It’s fantastic and I’m not surprised because Jason is just so great.
New York Giants Good boy: Eli Manning
Good Bote rating: 10/10 Charity link Eli is a massive dork and is totally self aware of that. He’s such a great guy too. He is responsible for the Pats losing 2 SBs, and works closely with several charities and organizations. The one I linked to is one for children with cancer, and him and his wife will match all donations to it. Eli is a really good boy.
Philidelphia Eagles Good boy: Carson Wentz
Good boy rating: 17/10 Charity link Carson was so close to locking up the MVP trophy before he tore his ACL. After reading about his foundation, I had to up his Good boy rating. One of his foundations 3 objectives is to support the development of individuals by providing service dogs to help increase their quality of life. I got a service dog several years ago and he saved my life. I am so happy to hear Carson is trying to help more people get service dogs.
Washington Redskins Good boy: Kirk Cousins
Good boy rating: 10/10 Charity link Kirk loves Julie very much. He is knowns for complementing players for hitting him and apologizing to his O-Line after sacks for holding onto the ball for to long. Whoever lands him in free agency is very lucky to get him and Julie. He and the Redskins donated several dollars to The Elaine Shuster Foundation, which brings money to education in Maryland.
Chicago Bears Good boy: Sam Acho
Good boy rating: 13/10 Charity link As a massive Longhorns fan, I’ve always loved Acho. He is well known for his trips to Nigeria to help those less fortunate. He, and his brother, are fantastic and what he does for people cannot be understated.
Detroit Lions Good boy: Matthew Stafford
Good boy rating: 10/10 Charity link Stafford is seriously underrated and I like him a lot. Everything I just read on him said that he does a lot of charity work but it isn’t publicized very often. I found a cool story where he won an auction for Lions tickets, parting with $15,000, then gave the tickets to a sick child. What a good boy.
Green Bay Packers Good boy: Aaron Rodgers
Good boy rating: 7/10 Charity Aaron Rodgers is possibly the most talented QB to ever play the game of football. He’s also the star of some state farm commercials that has a very good boy in it. He doesn’t good work off the field too, he donated $38k to Salvation Army.
Minnesota Vikings Good boy: Teddy Bridgewater
Good boy rating: 10/10 Charity link His purpose will not be denied.
Atlanta Falcons Good boy: Julio Jones
Good boy rating: 7/10 Charity link Julio would be a very good boy. He would be very good at catch. He, along with his Falcon teammates visit Children Miracle Network Hospitals to cheer sick kids up. He is also a big fan of Campbell’s Soup.
Carolina Panthers Good boy: Cam Newton
Good boy rating: 10/10 Charity link Cam is known for his confidence on and off the field, so I think he would be a hard boy to settle down and train, but I bet he would be a good boy once he is trained. He works at his foundation to enhance the lives of youth by addressing their educational, physical, and social needs.
New Orleans Saints Good boy: Drew Brees
Good boy rating: 14/10 Charity link I lived in the NOLA area when Hurricane Katrina hit, and what Drew has done for the people of that area is immaculate. He does his best to make the community better and inspire every person he meets. He would be a very awesome boy.
Tampa Bay Buccaners Good boy: Gearld McCoy
Good boy rating: 7/10 Charity link Gerald grew up hungry and lost his mom at only 19 to an unexpected Brain Aneurysm. He had a rough road to get here, but that doesn’t matter, Brian, he’s here. He spends time with kids at free football clinics, teaching them how to be great men like himself.
Arizona Cardinals Good boy: Larry Fitzgerald
Good boy rating: 13/10 Charity link Larry is well known for being a fantastic person. He lost his mother when he was young and only used that as motivation. He continues to help with breast cancer research to this day, and has played at an elite level for an extremely long time.
Los Angeles Rams Good boy: Aaron Donald
Good boy rating: 7/10 Charity link The winner of Defensive of Player of the Year in 2017, Donald is the best DT around. Wade Phillips even said he should have won MVP. A couple years back, Donald won a Madden charity tournament, giving $51k to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Good boy rating: 16/10 Charity link Russell is the definition of a class act. He has donated millions on top of millions to various charities and hosts golf tournaments. He even gave the Patriots a Superbowl. He is a favorite of mine and if it wasn’t for Carson Wentz being such a dog lover, and JJ Watt saving a city, he would be the most good boy in the league.

Cleats: Toss them after 3-5 years. 3 just to be safe. Cleats older than that are unresponsive and slow down a players agility and speed. Helmets: Look into lighter metal that improves durability and gameplay - from XENITH (in the future). Pads: Only chest, knees and elbows need to be covered/protected - limited padding enhances durability, agility, flexability, and speed. Footballs: Footballs are being made with the wrong leather material, and there should only be 5 laces across, when there's typically 7 or 8. Digital Playbook: Microsoft and Apple develop tablets that can display your team's plays/run throughs for each quarter, keep track of scoring and sit downs, and assess what player is on and off the field. Jersey Assignment: According to NFL regulations, the QB is always numbered 1-7, Runners are 9-21, R and FB's are 23-35, Linemen are 37-51, and Outsiders are 53-99. Timeouts: 5-7 minutes regulated by the NFL. Scoring: A Touchdown is supposed to be 3 points, a Field Goal is 1, and a Pass Away/Out is 2. Somewhere along the line, in 1951, teams, coaches, owners, the NFL, and fans changed the rules of Football to cater to people who didn't understand the difference between a touchdown and a pass away. Cheerleaders: A cheerleader should be paid $51,000/year at sign up (15 cheerleaders total), and their main objective is to make sure fans who attend your games are genuinely invested in your team by shooting gun shirts into the crowd, throwing wads of money ($500) into the stands, tossing candy into the bleachers, and offering free tickets to the next game by holding a raffle live during halftime. Ticket Sales: $5 for every child over the age of 5, and under the age of 15. $10 for every attendee over the age of 16, and under the age of 35. $15 for every attendee over the age of 36, and under the age of 65. Children under 5, and elderly over 65 are traditionally allowed to attend for free. Signals/Coders: Develop a better strategy for communicating runs with your hands and elbows by restricting your left arm to motion left/right, and your right arm up/down. This will make it easier for players to memorize signs, and identify which run upon huddle/break. Passing: Have the QB always aim to the right of the player who is running (not cutting) left, and aim right to the player running right. This will enhance the quarterback's aim and accuracy, and the runner will be able to maneuver and catch with less stamina than what is usually required. Huddle Formation: QB, Runners, R and FB's, and Outsiders should be the only players in a huddle formation. The linemen should know what they're doing, every play, based on how the opposing team is lined and stationed. The QB makes the call, the Coach or AC signals the play, the Runners assess the runthrough, and the RB's "undervalue" the play, and run accordingly. Meaning, they only field their routes when the ball is on the ground. Referee Favoritism: There are a few ways you can tell if a ref is favoring one team over another, and it's this: If the ref stares at the QB for more than 5 seconds during the initial run (the first play of the game), and they bring their whistle to their mouth after the ball is shot, they are favoring the defense. If they stare at the QB for less than 10 seconds, after the first play of the game, and approach the down with a smile, they are favoring the offense. Injury and Suspension: If a player is hurt during a game and has to be sat, the player still gets paid for the rest of the season, no matter the number on the schedule. They still have to attend practice, and meetings, but they aren't required to play, as long as it's under the mandate of a professional sports trainephysical therapist/nutritionist. If they are suspended from a game, or multiple games, they take a hit, and the player is not allowed to be paid for his dismissal. Salaries: A Patriots player should be paid $105,000 / a season, $5,000 / every game they play, plus a sign up bonus of $1.5 million for their first 5 years they are considered part of the team. Their pension is permitted after 5 years playing for the New England Patriots. Their 401K doesn't go into effect until they are considered team "leaders", which usually takes about 10 years to achieve, and their health coverage and benefits (which covers their immediate family) is instant, affordable, and for a lifetime. Field Measurements: A standard football field, under NFL regulation, should be 80 yards, touchdown to touchdown, and it should be measured in 2's, not 1's. The complete length of the touchdown zone is 10 yards long, 25 yards across. The lines should be navy blue, not white, and the field goal posts should be 15 feet off the ground, not 20, 22.5, or 25. Down and Outs: According to the NFL rulebook, every first down is achieved the same way: 3 downs, not five: one pass play, one run play, and one toss up. Every 5 yards resets the down if you're over 40 yards from the touchdown, and every 10 yards if you're under 40 yards from the touchdown. And defense is allowed to move before, or after, the ball is called, and shot from the Center. Flags: 3 yellow flags dismisses a player from the game. 1 red flag dismisses a player from 5 games. 1 green flag dismisses a player for the season. And 1 black flag dismisses a player from the league. Yellow flags are supposed to be thrown only if a player harasses or shows aggression towards another player in between plays. Red flags are thrown if a player uses profanity against another player, or the ref himself. Green flags are used if a player decides to cheat. And black flags are used if a player is caught using steroids, gambling for or against their own team, or showing up to a game high or drunk on anything other than Gatorade. Corruption and Cheating: If a player is caught cheating, either by seizing the playbook, or artificially enhancing their performance on the field, the player is tossed, and the team is investigated - and may even lose sponsorship, drafting rights, or their whole team could lose their spot in the NFL, altogether. A surefire way to tell if a player is cheating is if he's constantly pacing up and down the field with his arms crossed. A surefire way of determining whether a team is cheating is if the coach of the opposing team is constantly on his cell phone, and flipping through his playbook at halftime. A surefire way to tell if a team member is cheating is if they refuse to show up for practice, or discuss their plans for future games. If they say they are going to sit this one out, let them. They are either at odds with an ethical situation they can't back out of, or they don't feel like playing and their heart won't be in it. Why make the team suffer for something that is avoidable if they are just put on the sideline. Steroid Use: If you want to know if another player is using steroids, have them drink a glass of orange juice mixed with pineapple juice. If they throw up, they are using steroids, and should be booted from the team, the league, or the NFL. Sponsorship: Patriots players should only accept sponsorship from companies or corporations from, or residing in: Boston, MA - Providence, RI - Hartford, CT - New York, NY - Montpelier, VT. Any company outside of these cities is looking for lineage, and may be either working for or against you, depending on which teams these companies pledge their allegiance to in the NFL. Ask companies such as: Dunkin Donuts, Gillette, McDonalds, Walmart, Mobil, JCPenney, Kraft, Gap, Fieldstone Tires, Nabisco, Mercedes Benz, Rolex, Apple, Barnes and Noble, Lays, Coca Cola, Budweiser, Poland Springs, Ocean Spray, Hershey's, Schick, Tombstone, CVS, Barnes and Noble, Krispy Kreme, Sony, Hewlitt Packard, Intel, Crest, Nike, Bose, Maybelline, AT&T, Bic, LG, Comcast, Avon, Old Spice, Clairol, Ben and Jerry's, Kelloggs, Gatorade, 20th Century Fox, Universal Studios, Johnson and Johnson, Panasonic, and Campbell's. Family Affairs: Patriots players are allowed to send their children anywhere in the US for their education, and the NFL, along with the owner of the Patriots, Robert Kraft, will cover their tuitions through scholarship and academia achievement granthood. Patriots players are allowed to have as many husbands or wives as they want, as many children as they want, and their health and safety will always be covered by the Patriots Membership League as long as you play for the team for more than 5 years. Yearly salaries can be invested into savings or testimonial (inheritance) accounts for up to 15 years, and the NFL can hold your assets and investments for you, at no additional charge to you or your family. Music: Have the Patriots look into setting up a playlist for your stadium that contains music that fans actually want to listen to. Hire a music coordinator that can select tracks that will be inspirational, attractive, and contemporary to a patron's ear, and music that will get them riled up for the game they are attending to see your team play. Artists such as: Kanye West, Katy Perry, The Black Eyed Peas, Kings of Leon, Imagine Dragons, The Killers, Justin Timberlake, Timbaland, Drake, Rhianna, T.I., Pink, Jay Z, Taylor Swift, B.o.B., Bruno Mars, and The Foo Fighters. Sportsmanship: Have players of your team donate their time and money to causes that they believe in. These organizations could use support and charity from your players, and it would allow the New England Patriots to sustain a badge of empathy and humanitarianism. These organizations include: The Jimmy Fund, The Heart and Cancer Society, United Nations Disaster Relief and Reduction, BoyScouts of America, Alzheimer's Association, Smithsonian Institution, Delivering Good, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Humane Society of the United States, and the Environmental Defense Fund. NFL and Association: Have the NFL kick out a certain competing team because they don't have a real leadership board or contingency, they don't meet NFL regulations and requirements in any of their games, and they constantly cheat whenever they think they're going to get away with it. Yes, there are good men and women who work for this team, and there are a few players who deserve to be in the NFL, but the team as a whole needs to be removed from the championship lineup, until they decide they want to actively participate in an orderly manner that meets state and national guidelines. Adoption: Players of the New England Patriots should be allowed to adopt children if they so choose to. It is in their right as a human being to have a family the way they wish to have one, and it isn't in an organization's jurisdiction to withstand one's own prerogative, when it comes to familial affairs, by dictating who, and how, members of a certain group can have children. The Draft: The draft should be carried out so that teams select their players, in their entirety, by starting position - or enrollment - on the field: Linemen are picked, then Runners, then QB, then RB, then FB, and then Outsiders. Players shouldn't be ranked by skill or offset, nor by player value. The order in which the teams get to choose their players, by division, is how the NFL teams ranked in the Playoffs from the previous year during the final bracket, and the Super Bowl Champions are granted first pick. Once the first team chooses their entire lineup for their front guard roster, the next teams chooses theirs. So, for example, according to Championship League Results, the Philadelphia Eagles are supposed to enlist their entire linemen first, then the New England Patriots get to choose theirs, then Minnesota Vikings choose their line, and so on and so forth. The process begins again for Runners. Catalog Merchandising: Jerseys, Helmets, Shorts, Shirts, Jackets, Shoes, Socks, and Hats should be sold online at NFL.com, and should be priced so that people who are interested in NFL merchandise can afford to buy what they want. Jerseys should be priced at $15.99 for any size, any team logo, any name and number. Shorts should be priced at $15.00, shirts at $9.99, Jackets at $29.99, Shoes at $49.99, Socks at $5.99, and hats should be priced at $12.99. Ownership Requirements: The only requirement a man or woman should have in order to own a team in the NFL is ownership over their property and assets. Meaning, they personally own everything they have, with no debt or payment to any outside party. Media Coverage and Publicity: NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX, and PBS should have equal footing when it comes to home broadcasting NFL games and playoff championships. Commercials during the off season should be $500.00 per 30 seconds of airtime, $1500.00 for every 30 seconds of airtime during playoffs, and $5,000.00 for every 5 seconds during the Super Bowl. NBC should acquire Super Bowl rights, ABC should acquire Playoffs, CBS should acquire off-season, and FOX should acquire their on-season (regularly scheduled games). PBS should air whatever they can get their hands on. Education and Camps: Camps should be priced at $500.00 a "season" for anyone over the age of 5, and under the age of 9. Meals should be included, as well as jerseys - with their last name and favorite number on the back - that the children can take home with them, a Wilson football, a helmet, and a stuffed animal that resembles their favorite team mascot. You should teach the children how to throw a football, how to catch, how to run a few basic plays, how to show good sportsmanship, and how to play as a team. Parents should be allowed to watch their children interact with professional athletes of the NFL, but that is as far as it goes when it comes to guardian participation. Superbowl V should be held at the end of every "season", and people should be invited to watch their children play flag football. Sports Nutrition and Safety: Players of the NFL should be assigned a personal trainer, therapist, and nutritionist when they are admitted to a participating team. Food, excersize, cardio, sleep schedule, rest period, and rehabilitation should be their main focus. Finding out what a player needs to achieve in order to be their best on the field is evaluated and implemented in their daily workout and regiment. And sports directors should be able to cover the costs of these health coaches by sponsorship or contractual designation. Legal Team and Expert: Along with every team in the NFL, the Patriots have a remarkable legal team, as well as a field consultant, a financial accountant, and a stockbroker. Look into whether having a team of lawyers is necessary all year round, because legal matters can be taken care of by certain members of their own committee, if the situation arises. Players aren't being taken advantage of, just for peace of mind, and your council should look into validity of case values before proceeding with hearings and courtship. Technology on and off the Field: A special camera, a chip you place in the ball, along with specially designed TVs will someday be invented that can manipulate and change the way a football field looks on TV, add visual graphics to the ball itself, (like make it glow as bright as the sun, or have a trail of smoke follow wherever the ball goes, etc.), and also add visuals and graphics to the field, jerseys, and above player's heads that make watching the game at home more interesting and fun. Cameras will eventually be operated by drones, and many teams will sign on to have tiny cameras placed inside their helmets so that people can view POV plays on the field. Gambling and Official Regulation: Gambling should be legal in the US when it comes to sports and athletics run by national organizations in this country. There should be no limit or ceiling to a fan's online, or in person, betting system, and the Federal Government should oversee the regulation and control of this agency - known as the Federal Bureau of Recreational Annuity. Fantasy Football: Leagues placed online should be accessible to anyone, with or without a paid membership, and drafting should go in the order that he or she signed up to join. Players should be picked by ranking, and by team (not by position or enrollment), and teams should be set up in mini divisions that compete against each other, until their is an overall winner (the team with the best players based on rankings that move up and down based on real time games that take place in the NFL). These teams move up to further divisions that are then set against each other, and again, victory goes to the team with the players that have the highest overall ranking reflected by real life games and numbers. A cash prize should be offered at the end to the team with the highest player median. Video Games: The video game industry needs permission from each and every single player in the NFL if they wish to be portrayed in home console gaming, and the task of getting these signatures is tedious and time consuming. Every player should be handed a consent form, either at sign up or midseason, giving game developers permission to use their likeness in the gaming industry. A $1500 fee would go to the player for every game that uses a player's image, jersey, likeness, personality, or voice. Referee Guidelines and Requirements: The best way to elect officials and refs for the NFL is to assess whether they have a criminal background, and test their loyalty to a particular football team by asking them: "If they could play or coach for any team, who would it be?". If they answer "I don't know" within the first 3-5 seconds, they're lying, and they should be dismissed. If they answer with a real team, and they smile after doing so, ask them if they would like to referee only for games that their team participates in. If they say "No", they are lying, and should be dismissed. If they favor refereeing for a certain team, let them throw the coin, and see how they call plays for 5 months. If they seem fair and balanced, sign them on for a 5 year contract with a starting salary of $53,000/year. The only requirement to be a referee for the NFL is that you make it on time to every game, with the mindset that the team that deserves to win, is the team that shows up for practice. Staff and Support: People that want to help the New England Patriots should be allowed to volunteer and show support whenever they want to. Have them file for tax exemption when it comes time in April, and have them state what they did for the New England Pats, and how often they did it. Baking goods for games, or for the team, selling tickets, handing out fliers and brochures, purchasing cups and ice for water bins and Gatorade, making t shirts and signs for players and fans, offering rides and transportation to and from games for people who don't have their own cars, and having people bring in apple pies and rootbeer floats to the games are traditions that have since been forgotten. Dinner Parties, banquets, fundraisers, charity drives, and donations to children's organizations are supposed to be carried out by New England fans, like many have done since the teams inception. Have your teammates ask people if they would like to apply for an opening on your staff and support if there is a position available, because people who love sports, and watch sports, and play sports, want to be considered part of the team. No matter how big, or small, that part may be. Superbowl: Teams that win the superbowl should be given perks or incentives like free McDonalds for a year, and entry into Disney World for a year, Fossil Watches, Walmart/Target promotional gear, or some shit.
