[Game Preview] Week 2 - Los Angeles Rams (1-0) at Philadelphia Eagles(0-1)
Los Angeles Rams (1-0) at Philadelphia Eagles (0-1)
The 2020 Philadelphia Eagles season didn’t have the start they were looking for week 1 as they opened the season without their starting LT, RT, RG, RB, DT and WR and struggled against the Washington Football team to open their season with a loss. Luckily they will get two of those starters back this week in running back Miles Sanders and RT Lane Johnson. Both will be welcome additions as the Eagles struggled to block anyone against the Football Team both on the line and from the running back position. Additionally, getting a running game going will greatly help slow the pass rush which will be impressive as the Rams posted one of the best pressure rates last week led by All-Pro Aaron Donald. Hopefully Doug Pederson learns from his mistakes of last week and gets Carson moving with some designed rollouts and mixes up his play-calling more to establish the run. If Doug tries to do the same thing as last week it will be a long day for Carson and Donald will feast. On the other side of the ball, Schwartz had Slay follow McLaurin last week and it worked as Slay shut McLaurin down, but that is more difficult this week as the Rams have two talented receivers in Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp. The Eagles will need to see how Maddox holds up on the outside with a bigger challenge this week. With the struggles of the Eagles offense and their injuries on that side of the ball, the Eagles will need their defenses to limit the quick scoring Rams offense or it will be a long day. Should be a good test for the Eagles to rebound after falling flat out of the gate last week. Go Birds!
Record VS. Spread: Philadelphia 0-1, Los Angeles 0-1

Eagles 30 - Rams 23
Nick Foles filled in for the injured Carson Wentz, taking up his spot under center after three months without game action. Foles promptly recaptured the magic, passing for 270 yards and confidently leading the Eagles to a 30-23 win over the Rams on Sunday night with plenty of help from his defense and his playmakers. Foles got plenty of help from his running game as Wendell Smallwood rushed for two touchdowns and rookie Josh Adams ran for another score as the Eagles (7-7) kept their playoff hopes quite viable with a gritty victory over the Rams (11-3), who lost consecutive regular-season games for the first time in coach Sean McVay's tenure.
Carson Wentz threw for 291 yards and four touchdowns before leaving with a knee injury and Jake Elliott kicked the go-ahead 33-yard field goal with 3:45 left for the Philadelphia Eagles, who beat the Los Angeles Rams 43-35 in a thriller Sunday to clinch the NFC East title.
Eagles - In a near-reversal of the previous season's opener, the Eagles scored the first 17 points, only for the Washington Football Team to then shut their offense out for the remainder of the afternoon. Meanwhile, Washington's offense scored 27 unanswered points, and the defense sacked Carson Wentz eight times, recorded two interceptions, and forced three fumbles. With the loss, Philadelphia's six-game winning streak against Washington was snapped dating back to Week 14 of the 2016 season, and the Eagles lost the first game of the season since 2015.
Rams - Playing their first game ever in their brand-new home at SoFi Stadium, the Rams held off the Cowboys in a close battle of NFC contenders. Receiving the opening kickoff (from former Rams kicker Greg Zuerlein), Los Angeles drove 75 yards in seven plays, with Malcolm Brown scoring the new stadium's first touchdown on a 1-yard run. Rookie kicker Samuel Sloman missed on his first field goal attempt, a 29-yard try that bounced off the left upright near the end of the first quarter, but later was successful on field goals of 35 and 31 yards in the second quarter. However, Dallas took a 14-13 halftime lead as Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott scored on both a touchdown run and a touchdown reception. The Rams reclaimed the lead as Malcolm Brown (who finished with a team-high 18 rushes for 79 yards) scored his second touchdown of the game on a 2-yard run midway through the third quarter to put Los Angeles ahead 20-14. Zuerlein converted a 33-yard field goal late in the third quarter, but it would be as close as the Cowboys would get. Rookie safety Jordan Fuller led the Rams with eight total tackles, including a key tackle of Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb on a fourth-and-3 play at the Rams' 9-yard line, just one yard short of a first down to kill a Dallas scoring drive.

Philadelphia has produced a 22-19-1 (.536) record in the all-time series vs. Los Angeles. The Eagles own a 6-game winning streak against the Rams, scoring 30+ points in 5 straight contests.
Philadelphia is 15-8 (.652) in home games vs. Los Angeles, with victories in each of the last 2 such meetings (last: W, 34-28 on 10/5/14 at Lincoln Financial Field).
The Eagles are 23-9 (.719) at home in the regular season under head coach Doug Pederson, which marks the 5th-best home winning percentage in the NFL since 2016, trailing only New En-gland (.818, 27-6), Baltimore (.758, 25-8), Kansas City (.758, 25-8) and New Orleans (.727, 24-9).
Philadelphia has captured all 4 of its home openers with Doug Pederson at the helm (since 2016). Pederson is one of only two head coaches in Eagles history to win each of their first 4 home openers with the team, joining Joe Kuharich (1964-67).
In Week 1 at Washington, Philadelphia allowed only 239 total yards (80 rushing, 5th; 159 passing, 3rd), which were the fewest by any defense in the NFL during kickoff weekend. The Eagles limited Washington to just 27.8% (5-of-18) on third downs, which was also the 5th-best mark in the league.

Pro Football Focus Matchup Charts courtesy of PFF Edge (join.profootballfocus.com/edge/)
It doesn’t take advanced stats to know that Wentz spent most of Sunday under significant pressure. Washington sacked him eight times behind a makeshift offensive line that struggled to contain the Football Team’s pass rush. The Eagles allowed a 34% pressure rate Sunday, according to ESPN Next Gen Stats. That was the third-worst in the NFL. Five different Washington players generated at least four pressures. And it doesn’t get any easier against the Rams. The Cowboys allowed a 40.5% pressure rate Sunday night in their loss to the Rams, which was the second-worst mark of Week 1. And a big reason for that was Rams star Aaron Donald. Donald — the six-time Pro Bowler, five-time All-Pro and two-time AP Defensive Player of the Year who has 44 sacks over the past three seasons — posted a 28.6% pressure rate on Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott himself. He pressured Prescott 10 times for 35 pass rushes and finished with four tackles, one sack, one tackle for loss and four quarterback hits. According to Next Gen Stats, Donald’s pressure rate over the past three seasons is 13.5%, 13.9% and 14.6%. The Eagles offensive line is going to have to be ready or it is going to be another long Sunday for Carson Wentz.
Matchups to Watch
Carson Wentz vs. Himself
I note this matchup not to downplay the Rams and what they bring to the table, but to note that Wentz had plenty of mistakes that ultimately cost us the week 1 matchup. Change nothing of the game last week, bad OL, questionable scheming especially in the second half, Carson Wentz playing better wins us the game. Things were bad around him and he actively made them worse at times. These two things can be true: Wentz cost us the week 1 game and he should bounce back because he is a really good QB. This isn't the sky is falling, #TankForTrevor blurb, it's simply acknowledging the biggest change from week 1 to week 2 that would aid in a victory - Carson Wentz returning to form. There was also a lot of good last week, namely the first half! Check out the first TD throw to Ertz. Short, compressed field where he needs to make a snap decision and he comes off his first read (JJAW) and hits Ertz for 6. This is a great play by Wentz where he showed how good he is capping off a great drive. We need more of this consistency. Wentz was even missing on staples of the offense. He was erratic in the pocket and regularly off target. I love hero ball, I hate when QBs play scared, but better urgency and avoiding negative plays in the pocket would go a long way in smoothing out the rough edges of his game. It's infuriating to have some of the same issues he had in year 3 continue in year 5. Regardless, Wentz is a really good QB, so he should be expected to bounce back from a bad game every QB has once in a while. It just needs to happen quickly so the Eagles don't fall behind in the young season. This Rams secondary has a phenomenal CB in Jalen Ramsey and a really good young safety in John Johnson III; they aren't slouches. Wentz needs to be better and it would be surprising if he isn't.
Eagles (downright) Offensive Line vs. Aaron Donald and the Rams Pass Rush
Washington may have a better, deeper defensive line but they don't have Aaron Donald. He is so good he lifts a pass rush up to the top tiers of the league on his own given his dominance and versatility. Donald isn't just a Defensive Tackle; he'll line up inside and outside while wrecking every part of the OL he can along the way. Just look at what Baldy has in his review for him this week. This is a problematic matchup for Philly given their patchwork offensive line. Even though there were positive things some of the new guys did, they made a lot of mistakes, and will continue to do so in their young careers. The last time the Eagles played the Rams in 2018, Philly held Donald to 2 total pressures in probably his most ineffective game during the course of his DPOY season. The difference between that Eagles OL and this one is the health. Philly won't have a healthy Brandon Brooks; while they'll have Lane Johnson again it'll be in his first start of the season, he's coming off a late summer ankle procedure. So his effectiveness is still TBD. JP, who also played in that game, has also declined a considerable amount since then. One player returning to the field Sunday that should also give the Eagles a boost in pass protection is Miles Sanders. Not only is Sanders the best runner on the team, he's also the best pass blocking running back on the team. This alone won't stop Donald, but it should help. This defensive front from the Rams can get pushed around in the run game (more on that later) but can absolutely get after it in the pass rush department. Dallas doesn't have the line it used to either and Dak was under pressure at a roughly 42% rate, among the worst in week 1. The return of Lane Johnson should increase the effectiveness of this OL a considerable amount but given the new parts there will still be an adjustment period. This unit needs to come together quickly and the coaching staff needs to actually focus their game plan on helping their OL much more so than they did in week 1. Otherwise, expect Donald and his homies to bring the pain up front.
Eagles Pass Rush vs Rams OL
Even with some of the sustained injuries on this roster, the Eagles still have a formidable pass rush and flashed it quite a bit in week 1. The box score stats are highly deceiving in this area as Washington shifted their game plan quite a bit as the game went along. Philly pressured Haskins at a 30% clip last week. That number isn't great considering the state of Washington's offensive line. However, Haskins had the quickest time to throw in the NFL in week 1 with an average time to throw of 2.13 seconds. It's extremely difficult to pressure QBs when they get the ball out that quickly. Last week, Jared Goff was 8th in the NFL in this category, which will present some challenges for the Eagles. Dallas pressured Goff at a 20% clip last week, which is a horrendous number. Goff is a good QB and will slice you up if you don't get to him. But when you do, oftentimes he's effectively standing in quick sand as he was a bottom 8 QB under pressure (by Rating) in 2019. It's imperative this defensive front plays well this week. We already saw Malik Jackson return to form, now we need Fletcher Cox. Philly should get Brandon Graham (concussion) and Derek Barnett (hammy) back this week which should increase the effectiveness of the pass rush. Josh Sweat has also shown tremendous growth in year 3 having the best game of his career this past Sunday with TY McGill flashing in limited snaps. This offensive line from the Rams underwent a mini make-over this offseason but still has some question marks up front. This will be a real test for them as the Eagles pass rush is much more formidable than the one Dallas offers. Furthermore, this is a defensive staff that has consistently gotten to Goff of late. Given the changes on both squads, this is a good measuring stick game in the trenches.
Eagles Coverage vs Rams Receivers
Jim Schwartz had Sean McVay's number in their most recent matchup in 2018 so I am curious to see who gets the upper hand this time around. The Rams have a really good WR room with Robert Woods, Cooper Kupp, Van Jefferson, and Josh Reynolds. They also have a good tight end in Tyler Higbee. Philly has their work cut out for them this week as the Rams are much deeper than Washington. The Rams passing attack was predicated on the short, quick game with a lot of motions and play action last week. Carson Wentz led the NFL in Average Intended Air Yards while Jared Goff was last. Goff's Average Intended Air Yards were 4.3 per attempt with roughly half his passing attempts coming within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage. Getting the ball to Goff's first read and out of his hands quickly is key as he can be an adventure when he is forced to hold onto the ball. McVay is really good at disguising what the Rams will do running multiple plays out of similar looks. Lastly, their receivers are great at getting quick separation and great getting yards after the catch. The defensive game plan for Philly in the secondary should look quite different this week than it did last week. There isn't one receiver the Eagles can key on for Slay to take away. I'd bet Schwartz moves him around quite a bit but with Woods as the primary recipient of special attention. Slay looked every bit as good as you'd expect last week and that's a huge addition to this secondary. One area of concern I have for Philly is the middle of the defense. This Eagles LB group is among the worst in the NFL in coverage; McVay is going to look to attack that relentlessly all game long. He did the same thing to Dallas last week. It was encouraging to see Rodney McLeod bounce back after a poor 2019 as he was every bit as spry as he once was. The rest of the middle of this defense leaves a lot to be desired. Either way, this is a deeper Rams receiving room, with a creative play-caller, and a better passer than the Eagles just faced. There was a lot of good to take from the defensive performance last week but they face a significant test Sunday in the Rams.
Flatten the Curve. Part 44. Bill Gates Rumored Doomsday Bunkers. Bill Gates Hoarding. Rockefeller Institute & Unethical Human Experiments. Toxic Dust Storms and Covid-19. It's Hidden in Plain Sight. Wake up.
Part 43 is here Listen up. Do you have a gnawing feeling that something isn't right? A gut instinct? Is your intuition leaving you in a state of vigilance? Is your spidey sense tingling? Do you feel like the truth is hidden in plain sight, but you can't quite see it? You're not alone. So what is the truth and why won't they just tell us? They aren't going to tell us the truth because most of us can't handle the truth. They experiment on live subjects in the past, but suddenly they've seen the light? Suddenly they've found morality and embraced truth and ethical behavior?
The Stateville Penitentiary Malaria Study was a controlled study of the effects of malaria on the prisoners of Stateville Penitentiary near Joliet, Illinois, beginning in the 1940s. The study was conducted by the Department of Medicine at the University of Chicago in conjunction with the United States Army and the State Department. At the Nuremberg trials, Nazi doctors cited the precedent of the malaria experiments as part of their defense. Link Here
Any day that Nazi Doctors use your experiment as a defense for Nazi medical experiments is not a good day. Let me show you one other part of the puzzle that you need to read. Let me show you that at some point the money, power, or even the scientific research can detach some individuals from reality. "A number of years ago, we talked about, 'What if there wasn't clean water? What if there wasn't enough food?" she said on the radio show. "Where might we go? What might we do as a family?' So, I think we should leave those preparations to ourselves." The only thing they did not prepare, however, was the vaccine or a treatment for the virus that would cause a pandemic, though she acknowledged how "lucky" she and her family are to be in a position of privilege when it comes to dealing with COVID-19. "What we mostly talk about now in our home every night is how lucky we are," she continued. "We understand our privilege. When we say our grace at night, what we're thankful for around the table, is that we aren't struggling to put a meal on the table as so many families around the world are." Link Here Yep. Sure thing Melinda. You guys just sit around the dinner table (like us normal plebs) and talk about how lucky you are to have food. Then you went out and stocked up your basement. Maybe they hoarded all the toilet paper because they're so full of crap they can use TP to wipe their mouths with after they speak. And what a minute, isn’t hoarding food bad? And aren't billionaires just hoarding cash? Different rules for different people, and it makes no difference what they say publicly when it's still just the same crap. August 7, 2019 | Many of the world's elite, including hedge fund managers, sports stars and tech executives (Bill Gates is rumored to have bunkers at all his properties) have chosen to design their own secret shelters to house their families and staff. Gary Lynch, general manager of Texas-based Rising S Company, says 2016 sales for their custom high-end underground bunkers grew 700% compared to 2015, while overall sales have grown 300% since the November US presidential election alone. Link Here So which basements were you stocking Bill? I'm betting you stocked all of them. But that article really made it sound like you personally went grocery shopping, didn't it? And there's that year again, 2015. The same year as the Bird Man plauge doctor video, coronavirus and bats possible pandemic discovered, CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing went mainstream, and the Billy Boy pandemic warnings started with a Ted Talk, then the Doomsday Bunkers elite MKultra wealthy segment jumped by 700%. That's not a good sign. It's all connected. All of it. We might not know how. Or who's doing what. Or how bad our current ELE events will become, but we need to at least get an outline of the big picture, before the big picture turns into the Main Event. As far as I'm concerned, there is no possible way our present unexplained mysteries aren't prognosticators of upcoming calamities. No. Way. At. All. Let's throw the spotlight back onto our pandemic. It's all plain and simple when you accept the government's and the medical community's word at Face(book) value. Our leaders tell us to Keep Calm and Carry On. Just take two official narrative pills and wait for the vaccine. It's all good. Honestly. Listen. Trust. Obey.
1913 to 1951: Dr. Leo Stanley, chief surgeon at the San Quentin Prison, performed a wide variety of experiments on hundreds of prisoners at San Quentin. Many of the experiments involved testicular implants, where Stanley would take the testicles out of executed prisoners and surgically implant them into living prisoners. In other experiments, he attempted to implant the testicles of rams, goats, and boars into living prisoners. Stanley also performed various eugenics experiments, and forced sterilizations on San Quentin prisoners.[13] Stanley believed that his experiments would rejuvenate old men, control crime (which he believed had biological causes), and prevent the "unfit" from reproducing.
Whelp, at least you could say that Dr. Stanley had the balls to carry out his experiments. Tuberculosis. Syphilis. Herpes. Influenza. Malaria. The medical society treated us to a rolodex of experiments.
In 1941, at the University of Michigan, virologists Thomas Francis, Jonas Salk and other researchers deliberately infected patients at several Michigan mental institutions with the influenza virus by spraying the virus into their nasal passages.[24] Francis Peyton Rous, based at the Rockefeller Institute and editor of the Journal of Experimental Medicine, wrote the following to Francis regarding the experiments:
It may save you much trouble if you publish your paper... elsewhere than in the Journal of Experimental Medicine. The Journal is under constant scrutiny by the anti-vivisectionists who would not hesitate to play up the fact that you used for your tests human beings of a state institution. That the tests were wholly justified goes without saying.
Wholy justified. Goes without saying. But we would never be so reckless with experiments today, no matter how justified, would we? NY MAG. March 20
On January 13, less than a week after COVID-19 was identified as the virus behind the outbreak in Wuhan, researchers at Cambridge-based biotech company Moderna proposed a vaccine to fight it. A little over two months later, on Monday morning, a pharmacist in Seattle injected Rebecca Sirull with that vaccine, making her the third person to be injected in a 45-person clinical trial, the first human trial in the country. To rush the vaccine to clinical trial, Moderna skipped animal testing, a somewhat extraordinary measure. Sirull, a healthy 25-year-old editorial coordinator at a research institute, will receive a second injection in a month and have her blood drawn regularly for more than a year. Should the test be successful, the more optimistic estimates suggest that a vaccine could be available in 12 to 18 months. Intelligencer spoke with Sirull about her decision to take part.
Oh. Uhm. OK.
Jill Horowitz stood outside the Quaker Ridge Shopping Center in New Rochelle, N.Y.—an early COVID-19 hotspot—in March, stopping shoppers as they walked into the grocery store. She handed them blue pamphlets soliciting volunteers for a Rockefeller University antibody research study. “I would say, ‘Would you like to help us find a cure?’” says Horowitz, executive director of strategic operations at Rockefeller’s Laboratory of Molecular Immunology. “I didn’t even have to mention coronavirus. This neighborhood was completely subsumed.”
Yessiree ladies and gentlemen, step right up, roll up that sleeve, and get a poke to save all the good folks out there from the pandemic. The one that contaminates surfaces, but now doesn't spread through surfaces. The virus that you don’t need a mask for because a mask will make it worse. The virus you might need a mask for because it wouldn't hurt, but it's not airborne. Put on a darn mask because the virus is airborne. Maybe. But air-conditioning makes COVID-19 worse. So only wear a mask inside. The virus that worsens with pollution, but don't worry about putting on the mask outside. Because if you wear a mask you'll stop the second wave. But there might not be a second wave, it might just be one long continuous wave. Is anyone else getting the impression that they don't have enough information about the virus to be issuing guidelines yet? But I'm just being paranoid. I'm sure of it. That was then, and this is now.
Then: In a 1946 to 1948 study in Guatemala, U.S. researchers used prostitutes to infect prison inmates, insane asylum patients, and Guatemalan soldiers with syphilis and other sexually transmitted diseases in order to test the effectiveness of penicillin in treating the STDs. They later tried infecting people with "direct inoculations made from syphilis bacteria poured into the men's penises and on forearms and faces that were slightly abraded . . . or in a few cases through spinal punctures". Approximately 700 people were infected as part of the study (including orphan children). The study was sponsored by the Public Health Service, the National Institutes of Health, the Pan American Health Sanitary Bureau (now the World Health Organization's Pan American Health Organization) and the Guatemalan government. The team was led by John Charles Cutler, who later participated in the Tuskegee syphilis experiments. Cutler chose to do the study in Guatemala because he would not have been permitted to do it in the United States. In 2010 when the research was revealed, the U.S. officially apologized to Guatemala for the studies. A lawsuit has been launched against Johns Hopkins University, Bristol-Myers Squibb and the Rockefeller Foundation for alleged involvement in the study.
That is so reassuring as we move forward, isn’t it? And don't give me any that was back then we've changed arguments. We haven't changed at all. Proof? Ok. Let's go. This is a link to an LA Times article that talks about Bill Gates and his AIDS fight in Africa. You go Bill. Get them vaccines out to the people. You're such a good guy! That's what a New Normal article would say. This isn’t a New Normal article. It's scathing in it's judgment. They may not be dying of AIDS, or just living longer with AIDS, but they are dying due to other factors, which should be easily acquirable with the wealth at Bill's disposal to prevent. But there was one item that caught my eye. It talked about a Paper Mill that was in a country in Africa, that Bill owned a substantial amount of stock in. This company owned paper mills in North America. Those paper mills were environmentally friendly with little emissions. But not the one in the African Country. Nope. Not at all. That one didn't bother with environmentally friendly processes. The story goes on to discuss how one of Bill's AIDS treatment recipients lived downwind from this plant and how the fumes we're probably killing him. And what were the fumes? Hydrogen Sulfide. (Read more at Flatten the Curve) - Part 13 Yes seriously. Treating them for AIDS while downwind from Hydrogen Sulfide. I'm not sure about you, but that sounds like a medical experiment to me. Seriously, the guy that wants to stop climate-change by geo-engineering the planet doesn't use his clout to stop the pollution from a paper plant that he owns stock in. OK. Makes perfect sense, doesn't it? Yet actually it might. No, seriously, it really might. I've already stated that the virus seems to be activated with environmental toxins. And here we have an ultimate real life laboratory. And what does this real life laboratory research? Why maybe it researchers Miasma theory? Huh? Yep. Here we go.
The miasma theory is an obsolete medical theory that held that diseases—such as cholera, chlamydia, or the Black Death—were caused by a miasma, a noxious form of "bad air", also known as night air. The theory held that epidemics were caused by miasma, emanating from rotting organic matter.
Rotting organic matter, like at meat plants? May 7, 2020: www.wired.com | Why Meatpacking Plants Have Become Covid-19 Hot Spots. June 23, 2020: https://www.bbc.com | Coronavirus: Why have there been so many outbreaks in meat processing plants? And do you know what else was associated with Miasma Theory? The Bird Man plauge doctor, just like the 2015 "you're all dead" video. The word miasma comes from ancient Greek and means "pollution". And then we have Covid-19 and pollution. The idea also gave rise to the name malaria (literally "bad air") through medieval Italian. Malaria? What? Crazy? Aren't there debunked studies about Malaria drugs working on COVID-19? Nah. Must be fake news. Right? Or fake facts. Or is it fake news reporting fake facts? I'm just so confused. Does the strangeness end there? Sadly, it doesn't folks. Not at all. Not in this New Normal. Because Mr. Bill Gates is trying to eradicate tuberculosis. And, Hydrogen sulfide stimulates Mycobacterium tuberculosis respiration, growth Back when I looked for information about the pandemic, I noticed something odd, the mortality rate for Covid-19 fluctuated depending on the region. Now I'm not a doctor, but you don’t have to be to read, do you? So I kept looking at the data for similarities. And they were there. Hypoxic or polluted water like lakes or coastlines. Cities with factory polluting emissions. They all led to outbrakes and higher mortality rates. And then it changed. I saw ourbreak regions with low mortality rates. It didn't make sense, but there had to be a reason. There's always a reason. And as I kept looking at the similarities of low mortality rates something jumped out, a lot of them were still vaccinated for Mycobacterium Tuberculosis. Yep. But this is crazy talk Greek! You're just looking for dots and finding a way to connect them. It's just a coincidence that Bill Gates is funding AIDS prevention, an article exists that points out a therapy participant is close to a source of hydrogen sulfide emissions from a company that Billy has stock investments in, and that Billy also has a program to eradicate tuberculosis. Stop seeing patterns where they don't exist. You're freaking people out. Crap. Perhaps you're right. Maybe I am freaking people out. But let me show you something else. It's something that I noticed about a month after this pandemic was shutting us down. And it didn't make any sense to me at the time. Ready? www.pnas.org | BCG vaccine protection from severe coronavirus disease 2019 COVID-19. BCG? What's that? www.sciencedaily.com | Preliminary study suggests tuberculosis vaccine may be limiting COVID-19 deaths. And then the studies started backing it up. Even betteworse, they linked it to Hydrogen Sulfide, endogenous not exogenous, but Hydrogen Sulfide is the same no matter if you breathe it in or produce it biologically. So, yeah. Let's dig.
Endogenous Hydrogen Sulfide stimulates Mycobacterium Tuberculosis respiration, growth, and pathogenesis.
In mammals, H2S elicits a biphasic, concentration-dependent mitochondrial response14, which can be cytotoxic or cytoprotective. For example, at high concentrations H2S reversibly inhibits cytochrome c oxidase (Complex IV)15–17. In contrast, at low concentrations H2S can serve as bioenergetic fuel to stimulate mitochondrial respiration without uncoupling of respiration. Link here
At high concentrations Hydrogen Sulfide can be cytotoxic and reversibly inhibit cytochrome c oxidase. We've followed the White Rabbit and now we're digging. Can't stop now. Won't stop now.
Defects involving genetic mutations altering cytochrome c oxidase (COX) functionality or structure can result in severe, often fatal metabolic disorders.
Disorders involving dysfunctional COX assembly via gene mutations include Leigh syndrome, cardiomyopathy, leukodystrophy, anemia, and sensorineural deafness**.Link here.
Anemia? Like, the Momento movie? Do I have amnesia now and I have to live my life backwards? Hold on, don't freak out. You don't have amnesia. Self inflicted amnesia induced systemically via behaviorally manipulated echo chambers introduced systemically through social media electronic pathways? Possibly. But this is anemia, and that's another story.
Current management of COVID-19 is based on the premise that respiratory failure is the leading cause of fatalities (Zhou et al., 2020). Nevertheless, mounting evidence points to drastic systemic events taking place that contribute to accelerated COVID-19 pathogenesis. The “cytokine storm” is a notion that is reportedly hailed as the hallmark of the COVID-19 hyper-inflammatory state (Mehta et al., 2020). Consecutive studies linked COVID-19 related hyper-inflammation to systemic events including hypercoagulability, oxidative stress and altered iron metabolism. Mehta et al., 2020, Phua et al., 2020
Hyperinflammatory and altered iron metabolism. Following? Good.
Coronavirus disease-19 (COVID-19) has been regarded as an infective-inflammatory disease, which affects mainly lungs. More recently, a multi-organ involvement has been highlighted, with different pathways of injury. A hemoglobinopathy, hypoxia and cell iron overload might have a possible additional role. Scientific literature has pointed out two potential pathophysiological mechanisms: i) severe acute respiratory syndrome-coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV- 2) interaction with hemoglobin molecule, through CD147, CD26 and other receptors located on erythrocyte and/or blood cell precursors; ii) hepcidin-mimetic action of a viral spike protein, inducing ferroportin blockage. Link Here.
Hypoxia? Where have I heard that before?
A dangerous symptom of the coronavirus that can cause a patient to fall unconscious or even die is known as hypoxia — when the body’s tissues do not receive enough oxygen. Dr. Richard Levitan, an emergency doctor working in New York City, wrote for the New York Times at the end of April that he has seen COVID-19 patients with “alarmingly low” oxygen levels, but no shortness of breath. He describes this as “silent hypoxia”. These patients had oxygen saturation levels as low as 50 per cent when normal levels are usually at 94 to 100 per cent at sea level, Levitan explained. These patients had oxygen saturation levels as low as 50 per cent when normal levels are usually at 94 to 100 per cent at sea level, Levitan explained.
Low oxygen levels. Dysregulates immune system. Are your They Live sunglasses on? Are plugged into the Matrix or hacking the Matrix? https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov | Hydrogen sulfide stimulates Mycobacterium tuberculosis respiration + growth.
Tuberculosis (TB) is responsible for millions of deaths each year and several billion people are latently infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb). Mtb modulates host factors, such as endogenous gaseous signalling molecules, to persist in humans for decades. H2S has diverse biological functions, including modulation of immunity and cellular respiration. However, the role of H2S in TB is unclear. We found that mice deficient in H2S production are more resistant to Mtb infection than WT mice. Upon infection, Mtb increases host H2S, which suppresses central carbon metabolism and increases inflammation. Distribution of H2S-producing enzymes in human TB lungs showed that H2S is produced at the site of infection. These findings identify glycolysis and H2S-producing enzymes as targets for TB host-directed therapies.
Don't Freak Out like LeChic, but I don't think we're in Kansas anymore Dorothy. Speaking of Kansas, do you remember the dust storm as the tornado blew in and swept Dorthy to Oz? The “Godzilla” Saharan dust cloud over the US, explained:
Dust clouds originate in the Sahara, the largest desert in the world outside the poles, and the Sahel, just south of the Sahara. Much of the dust originates in the Bodélé Depression in Chad, an ancient dry lake bed at the threshold of the Sahara and the Sahel. There, convective storms in the early summer whip the dry ground and loft particles of silica, iron, and phosphorous as high as 20,000 feet into the sky. Link Here
And then we have this:
Residents wear face masks to protect themselves from the Saharan dust clouds covering Dakar, Senegal. N95 masks and even surgical masks can help protect people from getting sick from the dust. Breathing dust can trigger problems like asthma attacks and worsen conditions like heart disease. But particles from natural sources can pose some unique threats. “Desert soil can also be contaminated with bacteria and fungal spores or with toxic heavy metal,” Achakulwisut said. “For example, in the US Southwest, dust episodes there have been linked to outbreaks of Valley Fever and arsenic poisoning.” Link Here
Contaminated with bacteria. Guaranteed Anaerobic bacteria. And it carries along metallic compounds. Like this:
**A 2001 study in Limnology and Oceanography suggested that the seasonal windfalls of iron-rich Saharan dust become a banquet for red tides, blooms of algae that spill into the ocean like dye, deplete it of oxygen, and release toxins. Dust clouds can also host unwelcome stowaways. Jun 24, 2020 Link Here.
Red tides. Blooms of algae. Or rather perhaps, Cyanobacteria blooms? All in a dust storm. Maybe we should start wearing masks, right? Don't want to breathe in toxic dust, do we?
But Snake Park is no paradise. For decades the residents have lived with the mine, which they say blows clouds of dust into their homes. Now Snake Park, formally known as Doornkop, is in the sub-district with the highest number of Covid-19 infections in Gauteng. Last week, Gauteng Premier David Makhura linked “cluster outbreaks” on mines, and people moving between them and where they live, to the Covid-19 infections in the western part of Soweto. In 2017, the Bench Marks Foundation, a nonprofit that monitors multinational corporations, released the results of a survey of household health in four mine-affected areas in Soweto. Mine tailings contain heavy metals and chemicals and cause various illnesses, including mental health issues and Down’s Syndrome. The report found that more than two thirds of the respondents in Snake Park complained about respiratory problems, including persistent coughs, sinus issues, asthma and tuberculosis. This year, the August dust storms in Snake Park will coincide with the expected peak of Covid-19 infections in Gauteng.
“We can’t breathe well. This mine is very dangerous. It’s toxic,” Phongoma says, adjusting his bright blue mask. Looking at the mine dump, now glistening in the afternoon sun, he adds: “It’s a bomb. It’s a nuclear weapon — and with this Covid-19 thing, it’s going to explode.” Link Here
Stranger and stranger, isn’t it? So strange that I would venture to say, Stranger Things haven't happened. You might want to read Flatten the Curve Part 39, and what I wrote about Turkmenistan and wearing masks for toxic dust. Link Here So where are we now? Knowwhere or nowhere? Are you a nobody or a knowbody? Is this picture that I'm painting connecting enough dots for everyone? Does anticipating mass riots in protest of the upcoming environmental collapse, and the wars for natural resources along with it, make the centralization of the economy plus the mass surveillance system make more sense? The masks and facial detection AI improvements? Does ID2020, another Billy Boy project make more sense? The upcoming robotic automation of the workforce? The curtailing of civil rights? Heck, what about the Bill Gates endorsement of impossible meats and the sudden push to vegetarianism? Remember the meat plant shutdowns? Rotting organic matter and Hydrogen Sulfide? Please remember, Hydrogen Sulfide outgassing is pretty consistent across past Extinction Level Events. Does this mean that all hope is lost? Puhlease. Hope flows abundant. We shut Pandora's Box before hope could escape, remember? Let me leave you with one final thought. Words matter. Look them up. They know what's happening. They know all of this. The words they use hide it in plain sight. I've written about Bill's fortuitous investment strategy. How he seemed to hit all the right stocks as the pandemic and environmental collapse strikes. It's mostly hidden in shell companies after shell companies, but it has to start somewhere. And it does. He owns Cascade Investment L.L.C. Link Here Which: Oct. 22, 2014 · A subsidiary of Cascade Investments LLC, which oversees the Gates fortune, is buying thousands of acres of land in north Florida. Link Here And what does Cascade mean? Let's look? cascade (n.)
"a fall or flow of water over a cliff, a waterfall," 1640s, from French cascade (17c.), from Italian cascata "waterfall," from cascare "to fall," from Vulgar Latin casicare, frequentative of Latin casum, casus, past participle of cadere "to fall" (from PIE root kad- "to fall"). cascade (n.) a succession of stages or operations or processes or units;
To prepare. To fall. Interesting choice for a name.
Meteor showers occur when the earth bowls through a dense stream of debris left in the wake of a comet, asteroid, or other space-borne object. Depending on where you look, you may encounter fewer meteors, however. Viewers in the Northern Hemisphere will see shooting stars emanate from the shower’s “radiant” point in the southern sky, meaning the best meteors with the longest tails will be most readily visible in the east and west. A much more spectacular meteor shower — among the year’s most prolific — will pepper the skies with a spattering of bright shooting stars and “fireballs” come mid-August. The Perseid meteor shower peaks the night of Tuesday, Aug. 11. Dozens of shooting stars could be visible beneath a clear sky every hour. Perseid meteors zip across the sky at 37 miles per second. Their diaphanous tails can appear white, orange, yellow, pink, turquoise and even violet, lingering in the sky for a few seconds. The rainbow spectrum of colors come from the combustion of magnesium, sodium and iron. Link Here
Pepper the skies with fireballs. Fall from the skies.
Comet 67P's rotten-egg smell comes from hydrogen sulfide, and the horse-stable odor comes from ammonia. These scents are blended with the fainter almond smell of hydrogen cyanide, the vinegarlike odor of sulphur dioxide and the sweet-smelling scent of carbon disulphide, researchers said. Link Here
Hnmm. It definitely sounds like Bill was getting ahead of the curve before we started to Flatten the Curve, by being a good student and getting prepared before the hoarders bought up all the toilet paper for the upcoming SHTF event. Wouldn't you agree? Are these all coincidence, or should we pay more attention? They want us to Keep Calm and Carry On. When do people tell you to remain calm? When you start to panic. So do you really think they would tell us the truth and deal with panicking masses? Or do you think they would hide it? Hide it in plain sight? Keep your head up and eyes open. Talk soon.

Pritzker’s name appears twice on Epstein’s flight logs (https://archive.org/stream/EpsteinFlightLogsLolitaExpress/Jeffrey-Epstein-Flight-Logs-in-PDF-format_djvu.txt). Pritzker is listed as one of the people who has knowledge of Maxwell and Epstein’s sexual trafficking conduct and interaction with underage minors (https://www.the-sun.com/news/778758/jeffrey-epstein-enablers-named-sex-trafficking-underage-victims/). Epstein has 12 phone numbers - including an emergency contact number - and two home addresses listed under Pritzker’s name. What’s even creepier is that there is a subtitle under his name that reads “Numero Uno”. Usually when Epstein adds a subtitle under someone’s name, it indicates what company they work for or a relationship of some kind (ex: X’s husband or Y’s friend). The fact that ‘Numero Uno’ is the subtitle under Pritzker’s name is unsettling, to say the least. Propp, Rodney: Real estate tycoon known for holding onto properties until neighborhoods gentrify. I work at a train station that services unusual destinations. For the first time, I boarded one of the trains.
The Exploding Passenger “Elle... There was something watching me play in the garden earlier. I saw it in the trees.” “Don’t be silly, probably just an animal or something.” “It wasn’t!” “Don’t be a scaredy cat. Tell mum and dad if you’re worried. Why are you in my room anyway, leave me alone.” That was the last interaction I had with my little sister. Irene didn’t protest or even attempt to say another word when I dismissed her, she just skulked off, presumably used to my shitty pre pubescent attitude that had blossomed around that time. I was ten years old and just starting to develop any kind of interest in being cool. My eight year old sibling just didn’t make the cut, especially not when she still believed in fairytales. Irene was a creative child almost to a fault. She was convinced there were fairies, nymphs and gnomes alive and well, populating the corners of the world that people didn’t look in. I thought she was utterly ridiculous, despite secretly wishing I lived in her make believe world. Now; with the job I have and the things I’ve witnessed, I deeply regret writing off her stories completely. I’d spent a lifetime running from my guilt. I don’t know for a fact that she ever spoke to my parents about the watcher but I suspected that she did, and that their guilt over ignoring it was what solidified our family’s downward spiral. Is it a little sick that I resented her? In my mind Irene got to spend eternity in fairytale land, never growing up and dealing with reality, while I was left to clean up the drunken mess my parents became. It didn’t seem fair when I was a little kid. It didn’t seem fair as an adult either. Especially not as I sat in my car, severed finger in its box in one hand and return ticket to Thistle Park Station in the other, parked up at my workplace on my day off. I felt quite farcical, following the advice of a strangely knowing old lady. A lady who had outright said that there was potential for the finger to be a dead end. A game. There were a million other things I could’ve been doing that weren’t chasing answers to an impossible question. Either way I felt a responsibility to the memory of my sister to at least check, regardless of my desperate previous attempts to numb the pain by forgetting all about her. Her being alive would change so much. If Irene was out there I had to bring her home. I lifted my hood to avoid being seen by any of my coworkers. I didn’t work alongside the day crew often but we intermingled from time to time and I didn’t feel like sharing my deep familial trauma with them. I knew my boarding one of the trains would’ve caused quite a stir. Skulking past the ticket booth I noticed Amanda, my daytime counterpart, frantically cleaning the desk. I’d never interacted with her, but I had always been mightily irritated by the booth smelling of bleach. I complained about it to Atlas near constantly. She was an obsessive cleaner and I always arrived to an immaculate work station that I would soon turn into my preferred chaos. It took quite the resolve not to peek in and ask her to stop. I managed though the urge, continuing on to the platform. Thistle Park was situated on the Village line, a few stops beyond Monsoon Valley but way before Cordyline Hill, where the train terminated. It bought me some comfort that I wasn’t going too far from home; the journey, if it ran according to schedule, should’ve only taken me 46 minutes. I settled on a bench at the far end of platform 5, noticing a few familiar looking youths on bikes by the stairs at the other end, waiting for the same train I was. They were regulars at the station, often passing through late at night, inconspicuous in dark tracksuits always on bikes. They’d never caused me any particular bother but I’d noticed that no matter how often I’d encountered them I never saw their faces. It seemed the angle was always off, but it felt like more than that. One uneventful night I even made a game of it, watching them on every camera I could to catch a glimpse. No avail. They were no different on the platform, playing and interacting with each other, moving around freely. Just never turning quite enough for me to see a face. The faceless youth, as I lovingly nicknamed them, had always seemed relatively harmless whilst I was working, but crossing the threshold onto the platform and facing the prospect of travelling to the destinations that I’d always found mysterious had left me with a deeply uncomfortable feeling in my gut. Even passengers as innocuous as them seemed more dangerous without my plexiglass fortress and security button. More sinister. I tried googling some of the stations when I first started, without any real results. The stations that we serve don’t appear on any other line in the city and judging by the passengers that travel to them, I wasn’t sure I’d be entirely welcome. I didn’t fit in and amongst the eccentric customers my incredible plainness stuck out like a sore thumb. Now approaching Platform 5 is the Village line service to Cordyline Hill. Please stand clear and mind the gap between the train and the platform. My legs wobbled as I got up from the bench and tried to remain steady while the train sped to a stop. My anxiety irritated me. I don’t know what I expected, to be eaten by some sort of monster within moments of embarking on my journey? Ridiculous. Thoughts of Irene kept me focused. There were only two other passengers in my carriage. An older man, maybe late forties sat in the left corner facing the window and central was a teenage girl. The girl was disheveled looking, washed out pink hair sticking up in all directions and dirty, slightly ripped clothes. She had headphones suck over her ears, creating a gentle, rhythmic hum throughout the small space. I hesitated for a moment before settling on a seat. Compared to some of my more eccentric customers my two carriage mates were positively average. That was, until the man let out a gentle growl, helping ease my decision to sit closer to the girl, and also to the exit. As the train pulled away the robotic announcer told us that the first stop would be Monsoon Valley. I sunk into my seat, thinking about the explosive man from my shift the night before. Atlas had laughed about staff at MV having to deal with him and being so close we had frequent contact with the guys working there. Despite this, I’d never once wondered what Monsoon Valley looked like. Is that strange? All the customers, the destinations, the incidents and never a moment of curiosity. I wondered if there was something wrong with me. I watched out the window as the city scape entered winding fields that I never knew were so nearby. It seemed almost impossible that such vast expanses of natural beauty could be so close to a concrete jungle. Out of the corner of my eye I saw the pink haired girl glance at me on occasion and I was careful not to make eye contact. The closer we got to Monsoon Valley the more unbelievable the landscape became; the winding fields became deep valleys between intimidating, rolling banks and hills. The sky outside the window, despite it only being early afternoon, was a dusky shade of lavender. The change was sharp, from blue to purple, eliciting an audible gasp that I tried to stifle. Beautiful and otherworldly, a glaring reminder that I was somewhere entirely new. The train slowed as we reached a picturesque village, smatterings of cottages set in beautiful plots of land with rivers separating them littered the view as we reached a quaint station that sported a hand carved, wooden platform sign. Welcome to Monsoon ValleyHome to the end of the Rainbow I felt my brow furrow as I struggled to conceal my confusion and amazement, pulling my hood further over my head in a pathetic and frankly futile attempt to hide how out of place I felt from my carriage mates. Home to the end of the Rainbow. I wish I could say that didn’t make me want to step off the train and chase the impossible location it promised. Had it not been for the red body-part box in my pocket I probably would’ve done just that. It felt as if we sat at that beautiful, quaint little station for an eternity. Like the driver was tormenting the valiant explorer inside me. Goading me. I was grateful when the doors finally shut that no one new had joined my carriage. Everything I could see of Monsoon Valley was gorgeous, but almost too much so. The idyllic little area had a mysterious feel, and not one I particularly liked. I wondered what sort of people might live in a place like that. The next stop will be Blackwater Place. Change for the Epstar line. I pondered what the next stop would look like and more importantly, what Thistle Park was going to bring. Monsoon valley had surprised me, although I wasn’t sure where my expectations had started. I didn’t get long to delve too deeply into my thoughts because mere moments after we pulled away from the quaint little station the pink haired girl stood up and took a seat directly next to me. “You’re not a local, are you?” She asked, a knowing smile in her eyes. I ignored her at first, hoping she would just go back to her seat and stop bothering me but she was persistent. “Where are you headed? Hey!” She got closer and closer to my face until there were only millimetres between us, revealing crusted makeup and open sores on her own. “Thistle Park.” I answered eventually through gritted teeth, giving minimal information in the hope she would at least back away. She didn’t. “Ooh. Ever been before? I bet you haven’t!” “How would you know?” “If you looked that scared at the last place then you definitely haven’t been to Thistle Park. Ha. The Valley is for suckers chasing the rainbow, a holiday compared to the park.” Engaging with the girl terrified me but not half as much as going into my situation blind did. Even if, best way, Irene was alive and well in Thistle Park, I still had no idea where I was going to start looking. Maybe she could provide some answers. “Are you from there?” I asked nervously. The girl laughed. “No, I’m headed further up the line, but I’ve spent some time there. A nice, innocent looking girl like you wants to be careful in a town like that.” She licked her dry, cracked lips picking up bits of what appeared to be day old red lipstick flakes. I smelled stale cigarettes on her breath and she scratched at her greasy hair that had flattened under her headphones, now perched on her shoulders. Everything about the girl was repugnant. Still, I couldn’t bare to take my eyes away from her for even a single second. I was entranced by her, suddenly completely uninterested in the views outside the window. She was all I saw. “My name is Penny, what’s yours?” She asked, deep brown eyes fixed on mine. “It’s Amanda.” I answered, thinking on my feet and assuming the identity of daytime counterpart me, in an attempt to protect myself. It didn’t work. “No it isn’t.” She frowned. Those three words were said with such a seriousness and change in tone that I felt my heart stop for a couple of beats. Just like it had when Agnes used my full name with such ease. I was defenceless from the moment the train pulled away, and I was starting to regret my impulsive decision to follow a note on a finger. “There’s no purpose lying is there, Elfida?” I felt sick. “Who are you and where the fuck am I?” I retorted. “I’m Penny. I already told you that. It doesn’t matter where you are but it does matter what you’re looking for and I know what you’re looking for... or maybe I should say who you’re looking for?” I must’ve become visibly uncomfortable because Penny smirked before continuing. “I’m warm aren’t I? Ha. The resemblance is uncanny, I can’t believe it took me an entire stop to work it out.” “You know where Irene is?” My sisters name stumped Penny briefly, she genuinely looked dumbstruck for a moment before another smug grin stretched across her face. “You have no idea what you’re doing, do you?” She laughed, throwing her head back in a wicked cackle, flakes of painted skin dancing on her lips. “Answer me... please.” I remained transfixed on Penny, the background beginning to blacken as I lost all sense of anything but her mocking, disgusting face. I felt a fear and a vulnerability that I wasn’t used to and couldn’t explain. It’s like she put me in a vacuum and replaced all the oxygen with her laughter. It reverberated through my soul, making me feel tiny, powerless... weak. I felt so weak I could barely sit up. I tried to look down at my hands to see if I could move them but my head was frozen and she was all I could see. The fear started to get worse and my chest pounded as I took in short, sharp breaths, desperate for air that she hadn’t tainted or weighed down. “How are... you... doing this?” “Doing what Elfida? We’re just having a conversation. Don’t you enjoy my company? I think you need something to calm your nerves. I KNOW! Music!” Penny grabbed the headphone from round her neck and licked her lips furiously as she placed them on my head. I fought my broken body to stop her but it was pointless, I was completely paralysed. The sounds that entered my ears and dug into my mind were horrific. Instead of the gentle humming that I had first noticed stepping into the carriage, the headphones blasted screaming and sounds of excruciating pain into my ears. It was a symphony of distress... torture.. a cacophony of pain... and it made every bone, muscle and organ inside me hurt. I don’t know when I started to wail, but I did. “That’s it, be part of the music!!!” I read on Penny’s lips, glee written all over her face, unable to hear her over the unimaginable screeching. I hadn’t felt fear like that before. A thousand abstract thoughts crossed my mind as I searched for something to distract me from the pain. What if I never even made it to Thistle Park? What if I died here, on this train, at the hands of a dirty teenage girl? What if Irene was out there and I couldn’t save her? The black splotches blocking out the view behind Penny grew, taking over her face as I screamed and pleaded for air, desperate not to die. I felt faint and the world started to blur... she started to blur. Then a crash. It came from the back of the carriage and was the result of the doors that connected us to the next car smashing, glass raining down on the floor. Penny turned, breaking the eye contact and providing me with some minor relief. Paralysis waning, I yanked the headphones off and pelted them at the floor, craving the end of the torment. My vision started to stabilise, and I noticed that the growling man in the corner was turned, facing the two of us as Penny stood, hissing at the newcomers who had burst through the adjoining door. The man had teeth like nothing I’d ever seen before, crowding his mouth and overhanging at sharp points in all directions. I would’ve usually spent longer inappropriately staring at the man. Even in my line of work, fangs were uncommon, especially ones as mighty as he was sporting. I didn’t get a chance to linger on them, however, I was interrupted. Penny Screamed. I tried not to look, hugging my knees to my chest and screwing my eyes up tightly to avoid whatever was terrorising something as terrifying as she was. Her scream was followed by the sounds of ripping and tearing, whimpers and then eventually silence. “Are you alright, miss?” A young boy’s voice asked, breaking the quiet. Slowly I opened one eye, noticing spokes and rubber. Penny laid on the floor, no obvious signs of breathing, with what appeared to be tyre patterned wounds across her face and chest. The entire aisle was littered with bikes. The faceless youth stood at the angles I expected to see them, hoods up and turned just enough to conceal any identifying features. All except one. I looked up at my nearest rescuer, finally catching a glimpse of his face after all the wondering. I tried to hide my shock as I did but with what I saw it was a challenging task. He didn’t just have once face, he had three.
My Dad Didn't Want Me To Cut The Thick Patch Of Grass
Before I really get into my story, there are some background details that you need to know. My father first and foremost is a very intelligent man. He had always been a thinker, he used math and statistics in his everyday life. He has to, he’s a building manager at a factory at the edge of my small town. But that’s beside the point. My point is that I have never known him to be a believer of the supernatural. He always used to tell me, “Son, there’s a logical solution to every problem. You may not see one, or it may take you time to come up with one but there’s one there.” As you can probably tell by now, I’m not a grown adult. I’ve just turned 19 and I’m only just now learning the true horrors that this world we live in truly has in store for us. No, I’m getting ahead of myself… I’ve been tormented by last night’s events all day now and I’m feeling so lost. I’m desperately hoping that, by getting this out to you, I’ll be able to sleep a little easier. I don’t really know why I think that sharing my story with you will make me feel better, it definitely won’t get rid of that creature outside my dark bedroom window… But it will tell a story when I’m gone. It will tell the truth of what happened. Anyways, back to the details… My father was in a four wheeler accident a few years back. He had been pulled into a side ditch one late autumn evening and the bike had rolled over top of him. He had knocked unconscious instantly. My tall, strong father was nearly crippled in one evening. It was absolutely devastating. But over the years he has healed to the point where he no longer needs to wear a neck brace everyday. My father is still able to walk and do most outdoor yard work activities that he always enjoyed, however with his now chronic back pain, sitting on the big lawn tractor to mow our 2 and a half acre yard for hours on end is, as you can imagine, difficult for him. “And that’s why I’ve had three, strong, young slaves- I mean children!” My father would tell me and my brothers as he finished giving us the, to do list for the day. His strong, yet soft and almost rhythmic voice always lessens my brother’s and my own agitation of the day’s to-do list growing ever so larger by each minute. He needed my brother’s help now more than ever, as I was headed off to university to pursue my life’s goals while my younger brothers were still in high school. But, due to the recent pandemic, my father had moved me back home with him. My younger brothers only come visit my dad for a week at a time, alternating visits with my mom. I am, however, a full time resident at my father’s, just to be clear. But once again, I am straying from the important details. My father had told me that, due to the rain in the forecast, I was to cut the grass shorter than normal and twice this week. Being out in the country had its benefits, as our neighbours couldn’t hear the loud roar of our riding lawn mower’s engine no matter how late we cut the grass. Again being in the country, there were large predatory animals that came out at night from coyotes and foxes to even sometimes bears. Due to this, my father did not allow anyone to go out late. My father walked with me along the property as he gave me pointers for when I was to cut the grass later that day. “This here, watch yourself,” My dad told me as he gently grabbed a hold of an outstretched tree branch. “This stuff is real sharp. Used to cut up my arms as I drove by. If I could get my chainsaw out, reckon I’d be able to cut up these sharp branches n’ get them outta the road.” He continued as we kept walking down to the edge of our property. “The problem with that is, it’s too damn heavy. Ain’t gonna do my back any good carrying my saw all the way down here, it’s too much work for what it’s worth…” He trailed off. The back of our property ends in a small river. In the more recent years the river would flood into our backyard in the summer and make it marsh-like. Because of the immense waterflood, my father would always be the one to cut the grass on the tractor down by the water, and he would only go where the ground was higher than the lower flooded ground. He’d always say that it was because the wet and soft ground was potentially damaging for the lawn mower or that there was a possibility of getting stuck and he didn’t want to try to push the lawn mower out of the marshy ground on his own. However, there was no flooding this year, and the lower grounded grass patches were quite large and overdue for a trim. I told dad that I would cut the whole area of the grass and get the tall and overgrown grass patches when I cut the grass. After all, it was only really about 5 or 6 inches longer than the rest of the grass. “No!” My dad instantly cut me off. I studied his nervous expression. “No, no we…” He started but took a long pause. “I’ve decided that we won't cut that patch of grass. I’m going to use the push mower for that.” He finished as though he wasn’t entirely certain if he would or wouldn’t. “You can’t, not with your back!” I was quick to respond. “Nobody wants any setbacks for you, and what if you hurt yourself all the way down here and nobody knows?” I jumped to the worst case conclusion. I’ve been told before that it’s something I’m really good at doing. “Plus, the lawn tractor is faster and so much easier…” I looked at him with concern but we didn’t return my gaze. He just kept staring into the overgrown patch of grass in question. Then he finally spoke. “Just… Just don’t worry about that okay? Just go around that… I don’t want you going in there… We don’t know what's in there…” He trailed off again, still staring. I assumed that he was talking about my allergies. I am allergic to most outdoor weeds and pollons so to my mind, it made sense as to why he would say those words in such a way. He was genuinely concerned. “Come on now. Let’s go back up to the house. I’ve got some things I want to get done before work.” Not wanting to cut the grass in the heat of the day, I procrastinated my chore until after dinner one evening. I went outside and pulled open the large white garage door. Sitting down on the orange lawn mower, I popped my air pods in and put on my noise cancelling headphones. I began my music at full blast, turned the key to the ignition and felt the vibrations of the lawn tractor kicking to life. Even on the loudest volume setting I could still hear the faint thudding of the engine in the background of The Fray’s How To Save A Life. I put the machine in gear and rode it down our driveway and behind our large red brick house. The cool 6pm breeze ever so slightly blowing my long shaggy hair away from my face. That day was painfully hot earlier and suddenly now, I nearly needed a sweater and track pants. Great. I thought. I’m gonna freeze to death before I get this done. The blades of the lawn tractor roared louder than the engine as I turned them on and began cutting. About an hour into my grass cutting playlist, my phone vibrated violently in my pocket. Someone was texting me. My phone read “Big Sir”. That’s dad, I thought to myself. I parked the tractor, put a pause on my music and flipped the blade switch to the off setting. “It’s getting late son, how’s it going?” My father had texted me from work. “I think I can finish in just about an hour” I replied. I waited for him to respond. Seconds later his message came through. “Be careful ‘round the outside with the trees. Don’t want you to get scratched up” I smiled at his concern and wished him luck with the rest of his shift at work. He’ll be happy that he won't have to cut the far end, I thought to myself. I had full intentions on disobeying my father and cutting the overgrown patch anyway. I’d rather get a runny nose and be sneezing all night than him cut it and hurt his back again. I should have listened to him. I rode around the backyard jamming out to my music and enjoying the slightly chilly night sky. The moonlight illuminated my pathway in between the tall oak trees. I was really enjoying the quiet evening alone to myself, it was peaceful. After about another 15 minutes of cutting, I came to the uncut patch of grass that my dad told me not to cut. It was a large circular shape near the far corner of my property, close to a large cluster of trees. The overall patch was a deep green colour, thriving from being so close to the river only a few feet away from the trees behind the grass. I slowly advanced the lawn tractor towards the grass patch. Suddenly my music glitched and began blasting loud static in my ears. Just as suddenly as it started, it stopped completely. I shifted the tractor into park and whipped out my phone. As I was reloading my playlist, I paused. I felt very uneasy, as if someone or something was watching me. I looked around the yard and in between the trees. The strong and bright moonlight providing me with an excellent view around me, but that didn’t settle me down. I took off my earmuffs and pulled out my ear buds. It was absolutely dead silent around me. There were absolutely no animals hopping around. No tree branches cracking. No crickets or cicadas chirping. The only thing that I could hear was the rhythmic thumping of what I quickly realized was my heart beating. I decided to quickly finish cutting the grass and head back to the house, trying my best to brush off my anxiety. I continued my playlist and started up the tractor. The engine roared back to life and I circled back around, quickly cutting the grass patch and rode the riding lawn mower back up towards the house. Unease ever so apparent, I hurried up the driveway and backed the lawnmower into the garage. I quickly closed the large, white garage door by hand and rushed towards the front door of the house. Again, my music became very loud and suddenly cut out. I pulled out my ear buds and stuffed them into my pockets while scrambling towards the door. I stopped dead in my tracks and froze. My whole being screaming at me to just lunge towards the door and sprint inside, but I didn’t. I felt something staring right at me. Goosebumps formed on my arms. The hairs on the back of my neck stood up. Through the trees to the left of my house, about 10 feet from the front door and where I stood was a large shadow. This massive thing had to be about 7 feet tall. It had this muscular outline to it. It’s skin… no… It’s fur reflected a white shimmer of the moonlight through the trees. It’s head was long and oval shaped but that’s all that I could make out. I knew that, though I couldn’t see it’s eyes, it was staring right back at me. Into my eyes. Into my soul. In that moment, I knew exactly what it knew… That I was it’s prey. The shadowy creature was so still that, had it not been for the moonlight reflecting off it’s fur, I wouldn’t be able to tell if it was alive or not. It could have passed off as a shadowy patch of boulders on a cloudy night. Perhaps an oddly piled stack of wood that my dad and brothers had been working on the day before. But this creature was not anything of that sort. It was alive. It was hunting. But this wasn’t a hungry animal. This wasn’t a predator looking to bring food back to its young. This was all for sport. No, no this was… personal… The hate that radiated from that creature was pure. Immense even. It was watching me… It wanted to know how to get inside. I knew that the creature was watching me to find out how to get inside. It wanted inside with me. I honestly doubt that the creature would fit in the front hallway, it was too large. What felt like hours had passed before, suddenly, my music kicked back on in full volume. Because I had disconnected my headphones while jamming them into my pockets moments earlier, the speakers on my phone blasted at full volume. The creature heaved in it’s chest and let out an ear shattering cry. It leaned forwards as it’s mouth opened at a near full 180 degree angle. And the sound was so, so very very horrible. It began as a low growl, almost like a thundering sky and a high pitched woman’s wailing sort of sound slowly could be heard joining into the sound. The thunderous growl cut out at some point and the screech wailing continued. It almost sounded like scratching a fork on a ceramic plate or dragging fingernails across a chalkboard before suddenly cutting out completely. It propelled itself forward with its bulky arms shoving the ground and flew towards me. I threw my phone across the driveway and away from the front of the house, hoping that the creature would go after the sounds and rushed inside the front door, locking it behind me. I instantly regretted throwing my phone away because we no longer had any landline phones. I was in terrible danger and had no way of calling for help. The creature didn’t even follow the sound, seconds after I had locked the door it had slammed into the front door and began pounding it’s arms and head against it. As if it would help my situation, I pressed my body against the front door. Every time the creature slammed it’s weight into the door, I felt the vibrations. I was surprised that the door was still holding but hey, I definitely didn’t have any complaints. I rushed away from the door and decided hiding was my best bet. I scrambled through the hallway and past the small kitchen, grabbed a fistfull of steak knives and continued past the kitchen and down the bedroom hallway towards my room. Seeking security in my bedroom, I shoved my dresser in front of my door and closed my curtains then leaped into my closet and curled up into a ball. My adrenaline was wearing off and I began to cry. I clutched the knives hard in my hand and regretted throwing my phone away. I debated quite a few times hopping out my window and trying to sneak outside and around the house to grab my phone but, seeing the speed and power of the creature first hand, I decided against it. The menacing pounding on the front door was a constant reminder of my near death experience. And it was a constant reminder of the nightmarish monster haunting me. At random intervals, in between the banging on the door, the creature would howl it’s banshee shrieking cry. Everytime it would screech, I would get flashes of it’s image in my mind. The dark and shiny fur, it’s large bulky figure, it’s inhumanly long arms with cleavers for claws and the oval shaped head with it’s unhinged mouth. I’ll never be able to forget those images. All at once, the pounding stopped. It was as if the creature had disappeared. Silence was in this moment now the scariest sound to me. I couldn’t tell if the monster had just stopped or given up entirely. I had wondered if this was a trap for me. Was this being smart enough to set a trap? To bait me out using my own curiosity? I didn’t dare move from my sanctuary. My heart rapidly banging against my chest, every breath I took was an unsteady and long inhale followed by a short and nearly wheeze like exhale. Being alone and trapped for what seemed to be hours gave me plenty of time to reflect. Firstly, this creature either somehow had been living in the small patch of grass that my father wanted me to avoid or it had some sort of connection to it. Perhaps it had a nest buried in the grass? In anycase, this creature was enraged, no... It was filled with pure hatred because of my actions. The other thing that I had come to realize is that, while this creature is near, it affects electronic devices negatively. Some sort of energy that it emits from it’s mere presence can disable electronics? I’m not sure how it works entirely, however I do speculate that this creature caused the disruption to my phone and AirPods earlier that evening. I have no way of proving this, but I do believe that this entity is capable of distorting time or perhaps slowing time while it is on earth, as hours seemed to pass by without any sign of the sun rising while I was hiding. At some point, without me realizing, the creature had stopped trying to break down the front door. After about an hour of consistent silence, I had begun to believe that the being had retreated back to whatever hell it crawled out of. Holding the biggest and sharpest of the steak knives I had collected, I cautiously made my way out of my closet and towards my bedroom window overlooking the backyard. I carefully positioned myself behind the curtains and peered out my window. The moonlight shone over the clearing in the woods that was my backyard. At first I looked around the perimeter of the backyard, scanning the trees quickly as the branches slowly swayed in the wind. Then a large figure’s movement caught my attention from my peripheral vision. It was there. The creature was standing in the middle of my backyard. How could I have missed it? The being was suddenly more apparent than before. It had it’s head lowered and close to the ground, almost as if it were a large dog sniffing out any squirrels or rabbits that may be nearby. It was looking for my scent. For me. The creature’s long black fur shone in the moonlight as it continued it’s search for me. The being was very large and it’s upper body broad and muscular, like that of a weight lifting bodybuilder. It’s arms were long and similarly muscular with it’s long and skinny cleaver like claws protruding from it’s hairy paws. This creature did not appear to have any hind legs, instead it’s body ended in a very long tail. The tail of this creature started from where I would guess it’s waist would have been and made up about two thirds of the creature’s entire length. From the base of the creature’s neck were small spikes, presumably bone, protruding from it’s back and lead along it’s spine and to the end of it’s tail. The head of this demonic entity was easily the most nightmare inducing imagery that I have ever had the unfortunate luck of bearing witness to. It was an oversized skull of a canid creature. No hair or even flesh covered the skull. It’s bottom jaw was exposed as well. It’s teeth were barely discernible from the skull itself and two large fangs stuck out from it’s top jaw. The monster had dark, empty, hollow pits where it’s eyes should have been. It’s nose was an empty cavern of darkness. It’s mouth seemed to be agap at all times. I gasped, but ever so slightly. At first, I didn’t even realize that my terror and shock was audible, however the predator definitely heard it’s prey. The creature had, in an instant, whirled it’s head around at an unnatural angle and stared deep into my eyes. I knew this thing could see me. I knew it was watching me. There was no point in running or hiding anymore. All I could do was watch as this being brought one arm in front of the other and crawled it’s way towards my bedroom window, it’s tail excitedly wagging behind it. No, that's not right. It’s tail wasn’t wagging, it was more like… A snake's tail. The entity's tail appeared to be assisting it traverse. The thing picked up speed as it’s jaws unhinged and it let out yet another ear piercing cry. I winced in pain and covered my ears, dropping my knives. I cursed myself for my mistake and bolted for my bed across my room. Not the smartest idea, I know, but in the moment my flight reaction took over. I scrambled under my bed and lay quiet. The loud slam into the side of the house indicated that the being was here. I fully expected the monster to smash through my window and tear me apart, however that never happened. I cringed as I imagined my death by the hands of that creature in hundreds of different ways, fast and slow, painful and quick but still, after what felt to be hours, nothing else happened. Perhaps the creature killed itself when it rammed into the wall of the house? No that… thing probably can’t die… Well maybe the being is nocturnal and is returning back to it’s home? No… It's still very dark outside… Did the creature give up on trying to kill me? Don’t be ridiculous, that monster had a deep, personal vengeance that it wanted to get by killing me. And then I heard it. At first, I wasn’t sure what to make of the sound. It was fast, gentle and quiet. The sound repeated, it was a tapping sound. The creature was tapping, ever so gently against my window. Was this an attempt for it to try to get me to come out of hiding? The tapping became almost rhythmic, it was letting me know that it knew I was in here. I reached a shaking hand out from under my bed and pulled my IPad towards me from the bottom shelf of my nightstand. You may be wondering why I haven't used my IPad to call or text my father or get a hold of the police, right? Well believe me, if my IPad still worked well enough for me to do so, I definitely would have. Instead I’ve decided to type this out and hopefully leave a log of the events as a warning. Even now, as I type this out, the tapping is becoming more furious. Did the glass just crack a little? Wait… there’s another one?
