Karma on Reddit should be a cryptocurrencyike bitcoin
Then it would be worthwhile that being nice could buy you things. Such as getting 1000 karma per week gets you a weekly shop. But people upvoting also get karma. And all this karma comes from the infinite boing, that is the eternal, universal love funnel. Onwards and upwards, and all this love and karma gets your vibration higher, then all will be white radiant light as pure energy at high frequencies, ethereal.
Is there a free online program somewhere that converts reddit karma into bitcoin?

Hey r/bitcoin, can we make a reddit-like forum where karma is replaced with bitcoin? and where you must gift your own bitcoin to the user in order to upvote their post/comment.
The concept of karma is beyond and unsupported by mathematics and numbers, let's replace it with bitcoin :)
Some initial ideas
downvotes would still cost bitcoin, but a negative vote goes to keeping the whole system running (not sure if we should have downvotes).
Advertising and downvote revenue could go into giving free micro amounts to new users.
Every new user receives a bitcoin wallet upon registration.
An option for anonymous comment/posting that can't be used in user banning. (creating throwaway use accounts is annoying).
It would be interesting to think about technological solutions to moderation and various systems of democratic voting on forum rules.
I can't be the only one who feels like upvoting/liking with bitcoin.
I feel that forum communities deserve a currency.
It would be in that community's best interest to promote bitcoin.
It could lead to better quality posts and more thoughtful commenting.
Users should be get a share in the value of their work.

Although there wasn't 100% consensus, the majority of the people here who participate in this subreddit agreed the rules should be updated. I was a little more lenient on the comment karma, adjusting it slightly to -15 comment karma. This should help with all the spam, scams, and abuse that has been problematic for this sub. As we have grown tremendously and continue to grow, this is the minimum that we can do to help keep a healthy environment here for everyone who wants to participate in good faith.
