For the second time this week, RDS has crashed on us. We've been on RDS for a few years now and it has been very solid, so it was concerning that we are suddenly crashing out of the blue. There have been no major code changes or database insertions aside from typical day-to-day usage. General usage of our website (and thus the database) has increased because right now is our busy season, but we our servers are typically very well spec'd for our workload.
After looking at the log below, at first I looked at the warnings for InnoDB: page_cleaner, however the last of these happened a full minute before the server crash. The big import that is going on here happens every day and hasn't been crashing so far, so I'm not sure that this would be the reason.
Next I looked at the terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::out_of_range', and this looks like it may just be an internal problem w/ the hardware our host is on?
Does anyone have any idea on here to troubleshoot this? Should I consider forcing a failover in hopes that the VM moves to a new physical host, if there is something wrong at the hardware level? Or just wait a few more days and see if this still keeps happening?
